Satan-city, it was really the city Core loved the most. Was it the life pulsating in the middle of the streets, creating a huge amount of energy and life in the whole city, maybe it was more the sweets he was offered by the shop’s owner because he saved the shop from total bankrupt from many sources of problem, which the Arcosian was really pleased he had the chance to help, really, his helping was only something positive that he gived the owner and the whole café that was bringing him some nice feelings, like the sweets he was eating and drinking, then it could also bee the simple fact that it was the first city that he ever entered.
The young Arcosian was sitting next to the window in the usual café he always go to and is really often found at. The outside was clearly crowded as the sun was lighting the whole country with his hot light, which was apparently making all the humans happier, and all this happiness was transferring to Core, which would make him happier as well. The human’s smile was so nice to see in this worlds, almost as much as enjoying some sweets was.
On his table, Core had a large cup of hot-chocolate and a sundae, which was offered as always by the manager, he was eating it rather slowly to fully enjoy all the taste it could offer him, the cold and sweet feeling of the ice-cream in his mouth was really something he could enjoy, and no matter how much he would eat, his brain wouldn’t freeze like people say when they got an headache, since he wasn’t affected in this way by food at all or temperature.
While he was enjoying his nice time in this charming café, he would look outside, he didn’t suppressed his power so anyone could really sense him in the city should they have some ki-sensing ability, but he wasn’t afraid, all this time on Earth and he haven’t found one person that was really bad, either people that were more hot-blooded or people that were simply annoying, but he never saw someone dangerous that would try to straight up attack him, and he did started to believe such things could only come from outside the Earth and that humans were pacific to a point of near full-peace.
While he was looking outside with a wide smile on his face, Core would remember that he had told Phae and Celmaru, his two adoptive parents, that if they wanted to see him once they had talked about adopting him together without him, and deep within, he was starting to hope he would feel her ki-signature getting closer to the café and sensing him, he was missing them a bit and was excited to show them the results of his training, and also to offer them something, and most of all, to get some of this motherly love he had a taste of last time he was them. [I do hope they’ll find the place… it’s kind of crowded out there…] He would think to himself, a bit worried.

A certain hybrid and his partner shot through the sky like two overpowered, hypersonic jets. The two were flying side by side, slicing through the air at an even pace. One of the two, a hybrid Saiyan, kept his Ki output in check to make sure his wife, the other flyer, was able to keep up with him. The hybrid warrior Celmaru Waterfield still made use of his full power, yet he made sure his wife, Phae Waterfield, could stay alongside him as they flew. Adjusting his view to check periodically, the hybrid surveyed both the city and his wife, searching for a café of sorts; where Core Stold told them he'd be to discuss his adoption. Facing his wife as he scanned the city for the arcosian's familiar energy, Celmaru spoke briefly to Phae as the wind whipped at his eyes, forcing them to squint. " Phae, do you think Core is going to....er....you know...." " I'm sure he'll love the extra company, Celmaru....he's not one to despise others, especially those who will be his family." " I wonder..." The tiniest drop of energy had begun to spur within Phae's body, and the hybrid only noticed it when he began meditating the other day. It was an odd sense of shock that Celmaru had received upon noticing such a minuscule thing, but regardless, it was official now; Phae was pregnant. Blushing fiercely at the thought, the hybrid continued his surveillance of Satan City, inspecting the populace for an arcosian's power signature. As the couple passed over a busy street, a familiar feeling washed over the hybrid, allowing him to register the familiar sensation; Core Stold's Ki. Reacting to the Ki source, the hybrid gestured to his wife, pointing below them. Phae nodded silently in response as she descended upon the Earth like an angel. The nearby pedestrians stared in awe as both Celmaru and Phae descended before them; one landing on his feet, and the other floating elegantly as usual. Immediately spotting the little changeling from within the massive crowd before the two, sitting just before the window. Ignoring the irritated stares of the Humans, Phae and Celmaru brightened up a slight bit upon seeing the little arcosian, and both of them smiled with varying degrees of happiness. Phae, however, lit up brightly at the sight of her little adoptive child, smiling contently with pure joy written across her face (figuratively, of course). Squeezing past the crowd and shifting through the masses of Humans, the couple reached the storefront. Placing his hand upon the door, the hybrid Saiyan turned to his wife, ensuring that the plans have been finalized. " You remember what we've talked about earlier, correct?" " Yes, quite well....I'm very excited for this~" Phae had been oddly cheerful since they've agreed upon adopting Core; possibly because Phae was finally able to care for a child, even if it wasn't her husband's....it was at least theirs to love and care for. Pushing the café doors ajar, facing the smells of a small-time eatery at its finest, Celmaru spun at his heel to face Core, Phae following closely behind. Floating just above her husband, and reaching out to the changeling immediately, Phae spoke aloud lovingly. " Core! Its such a wonder to see you again!" " Already, huh?" The seaweed woman had begun working her motherly magic once again; circling around Core and embracing him gently, almost making even Celmaru jealous. Taking a brisk stride over towards the arcosian, Celmaru sat down in the seat opposite of Core's resting his arms upon the table as he greeted his adoptive son. " Hello once again, Core. I hope you've been doing well." An awkward reminder settled in the crevices of the hybrid's mind; a rite of passage by combat for those who wish to enter the Waterfield family through adoption. It explained why his family rarely ever had anyone besides their biological children to care for, but it also concerned Celmaru greatly. How would he be able to give a tradition rite of passage, when Core is stronger than nineteen-thousand normal men? Should he sic Phae onto him...in a non-coddling way? Send a barrage of Infinite Kaiser Shells upon him to see if he survives? Or just wait to see if something else showed to up to prove the arcosian's worth? Celmaru dismissed the unfortunate collection of thoughts as he began speaking of other matters. " So, Phae and I have spoken about this....of your adoption....and I believe its more simple than one would think. Most adoption agencies don't support those that were born off-planet, and especially those who were artificially made. Long story short, we'll just create a birth certificate for you, and enlist you under the Waterfield name. Arcosians don't often have many...er...loving family relationships....as far as I've seen, however I hope that you can accept this method, as we can't really do much else." " Don't worry, our family can accept you~" ' My Father may disagree with your perception of acceptance, Phae...Saiyans hate Arcosians, and my Father grew up despising them.' ' Hush...now isn't the time to be thinking of that.' Phae wrapped her arms around the child, pecking him softly upon the bio-gem. She really didn't want Core to be unhappy, and it truly showed. Their golden rings gleamed in the sunlight as the hybrid continued. " Since an adoption agency within a several-hundred-mile radius of here doesn't support alien orphans, we decided to take it into our own hands, and we did just that." Reaching into his pocket, Celmaru brought out a thin piece of paper, unfolding it silently as he flipped it over multiple times. Placing it upon the table, and sliding it towards the changeling, it read simply in loopy cursive; " Core 'Stold' Waterfield" " Congratulations, Core." The couple awaited a response; any response, as they displayed the fancy strip of paper to the arcosian; showcasing the name of the newest member of the Waterfield family; Core Stold. Despite the rite of passage he must walk eventually, following his new family's tradition, Core will be welcomed regardless, thanks to his adoptive parents.

The young Arcosian was simply relaxing in the café, his drink and ice-cream was nice and sweet, making him feel the many flavors of the Earthling’s sweet, there was nothing that would get even the smallest bit if close to what the strong taste of the sugar, chocolate and vanilla would taste like to him. The Arcosian, because he was created artificially, had some enhanced sense, which including his tasting sense, that would explain how much he loved the sweet food he was presented with, there was nothing for him that could compare to it that he ever lived, except the love of his mother and his friendship with Kay, but those were two things he couldn’t feel the same way since it wasn’t something he could taste.
After a few moment where he was wondering a bit what he could do once he was finished with his food or when the café would close, he would pick up two ki-signature that were really familiar to him. An instant smile drew on his face as well as the expectation as he waited to be able to see them through the windows. Core caught a glance of his adoptive mother and would be super excited about seeing them again, he was almost shaking, a wide smile on his face as the manager looked at him from his counter. ‘’Core? Are you alright buddy?’’ He asked, the Arcosian turning his head to him and nodding happily. Core heard it, directly when Phae entered the café, and without him even realizing it, he was already sitting on her laps, In front of his things and he was getting cuddled and filled with his mother love. Core would purr lightly and look at both of them. ‘’ Hi Celmaru~ Hi Phae~ so I see you found my little hideout~ how are you two doing?’’ He would ask with his innocent yet polite voice as he looked at his adoptive father, cuddling back his adoptive mother in a soft and tender way.
The young changeling would listen closely to what his new parents had to say, though it was complicated for him, he would try to follow as much as he could. He was nodding lightly and acknowledging what his new father was saying, it was rather funny though obvious, Core would have been surprised that there was an official building dealing with adopting of alien since most of the human were barely aware that they exist after all. ‘’ Well! Then I suppose it won’t be too hard, if we have no… uh…. The word is… legal! Right, if we don’t have legal things to worry about, then we can simply be a family right now!’’ He would say with his always optimistic voice.
Core was once more feeling the love of his adoptive mother, though something was confusing, he was feeling something new from her, from many points of view. She had a new scent, her body was clearly producing something unnatural to most human, and deep inside her, Core could feel something living, he would look up at Phae smiling. ‘’ Phae, I think there is a parasite inside you… I sense an abnormal amount of hormones from you and… there is something alive inside of you… you should probably see a doctor…’’ He would say in a rather worrying voice, he didn’t wanted his mother to be sick with a parasite at all.
Core’s attention was brought back by the paper Celmaru putted in front of him, he would quickly read it and giggles lightly. ‘’ Is it too bad if I don’t always use Waterfield in my name? Not that I’m not proud but… it certainly doesn’t fit… as Core refer as something hot, Stold was the name of a star, which is also hot and then there is a reference to water, something completely opposite of it?’’ Core would simply ask in an amused voice, hoping he didn’t had to use this full name from now on.
The manager would quickly arrive and offer a drink to both of Core’s parent. ‘’ I see, you must be the adults that takes care of Core uh? I can say that your adoptive son is really well educated and brave, he saved this place from an armed bandit and an inter-city mob in only a couple of weeks… your son is a hero, and any of his family can order things here for free~’’ The old man would say in his always friendly and enthusiastic voice as he then went away, leaving them with two new hot chocolate and a refill for the young Arcosian. Core would smile at both his new parents. ‘’ M-maybe I did… but… at the time I wasn’t even aware of what was happening… but manager is really a nice human!’’ He would say happily.

It was obvious that Core didn't completely understand the majority of what Celmaru had said, however it didn't truly matter as if now. It only mattered that he was happy; which he presumably was currently. However his happiness was nearly cut short by what Core somehow noticed within Phae. She was surprised at first, but she eventually smiled at the little arcosian, lightly clutching her stomach with one hand. She blushed softly, knowing what she would have to explain.
"Well, Core...this isn't a parasite. This is your future siblings....one of Celmaru's children is growing and developing inside me~"
"Er.....hmm....."
A beet red blush appeared upon the hybrid's face, and he turned away, completely embarrassed. Phae giggled to herself softly as she concluded her rather brief explanation. Phae stroked Core's bio-gem gently as he looked over his new birth certificate, analyzing his new legal name. He had a simple inquiry; if he could leave out the Waterfield in his name, for normal use. Shrugging, Celmaru answered bluntly.
"That's fine with me....but if we end up going to an official family gathering...or one of our family's tournaments...you're going to have to use our name...just for tradition's sake..."
"Well, hopefully that won't happen for a while now..."
"....Its been ten years already, Phae."
"Oh....oh my, er.....well then."
"You've completely lost track of the time, haven't you?"
"Well, we've been dealing with a lot these past few days...with Core, and the others, such as Walker."
As if on cue, a simple message was sent into the hybrid's mind, penetrating it like it usually would via telepathic messages...and it was from Walker himself. The message was simple, to the point, and completely irrelevant to what they were discussing.
'Before all creation, must come DESTRUCTION!'
A significant power faded into nothing, and disappeared into the abyss of Otherworld. Walker, Celmaru's mentor and friend, had passed somewhere miles away. A sudden sensation of sorrow swept through the hybrid, nearly leaving him on the brink of tears...blinking rapidly to wipe away such substances, Celmaru shifted the subject back to Core once again. The owner of the establishment quietly walked up to the three, complimenting Core on his efforts in saving this small cafe. Both Celmaru and Phae smiled at the gesture that the owner had made; allowing them to order for free. However, the hybrid's smile was somewhat forced, and he wasn't entirely there anymore. As Core mentioned that his efforts weren't mere tall tales, Phae patted him softly upon the head, congratulating him in his ability to save others.
'She truly is quite an amazing mother, isn't she?'
'....I wonder if this will be the same, doing things such as this every day....I wouldn't be complaining.'
As if on cue once again, once Core mentioned the owner being a "nice Human", a soft knock upon the window's glass was heard. An unfortunate sight beheld him as he turned to face the knocker. A blonde man, in his mid-twenties, with dark clothing and sharp green eyes met his gaze. The blonde man shot his fist through the glass, shattering the window and grabbing Celmaru by the collar of his shirt. The hybrid was taken by surprise, and he was pleted with tiny shards of glass as the window continued to shatter above him. However, once Celmaru regained his bearing, an intense look of anger swept across his facial expression, and his aura blazed to life, surrounding him and lashing out at the man. Smirking arrogantly, he spoke aloud, cocky and brash.
"Wassup cousin?"
"You bastard....what are you doing here, Liam!?"
Phae held Core close to her, hoping to shield him from both the broken glass and Liam himself. The arcosian was about to meet his adoptive Father's cousin; Liam Ekam...the hybrid's worst enemy.

The Arcosian would giggle at the movement Phae made on her belly lightly, she was probably surprised by what Core said, after all, it was rather surprising that someone could simply tell out something like that so easily, even Core was a bit surprised by himself when he found out. Core would imitate her motion and gently caressed her belly and stomach in a soft motion as he felt something poking him out, he would widen his eyes and take his hand back quickly, that was kind of frightening after all, something just poked him from Phae’s belly, this parasite was probably already out of control.
When Core was brought back to reason by Phae’s explanation about the ‘parasite’ he sensed, Core’s mouth would shape in a bright smile as he caressed Phae’s belly a bit more, looking at it intensely as he simply couldn’t believe it, there was a brother in the making in Phae? How could that work? And why was it Celmaru’s baby when it was Phae who was holding it? But all those question were taken away as he simply way in a really happy and enthusiastic voice. ‘’ YAY! I’m going to have a brother! This is great!’’
The young Arcosian had his two arms busy at hugging his adoptive mother in his tender way, but he would use his agile tail to go and take his cup of hot chocolate, bringing it to his lips and sipping a bit of the delicious sweet liquid as he was getting hugged and petted from his adoptive mother, it was a really wonderful feelings, especially when a pat on his head came to congratulate him from saving the place several time, he wasn’t that proud of it before, but his mother’s touch felt like he should be, and he was going to listen to her delicate attention after all. A light giggle came out of the Arcosian, innocent toward the huge depression Celmaru could be feeling, too busy enjoying the pleasure of his new life.
Core would notice a man looking at his adoptive father through the café’s window, he would look at him confusedly before he would see him break the glass and grab his father from the other side. Core would first reaction would be stand up and protect his mother from the falling glass, she was pregnant and he needed to protect both her and his future brother of sister. When the glass was done falling, Core’s body would begin to change in a matter of second.
Thought, this transformation was different than the previous one, one filled with rage and anger. His body would extend and grow larger in size, to the point where he was reaching a height of an old-teen human, a bit above 5 feet. His mouthpiece would close and lock, leaving only the upper-half of his face showing, his glowing red eyes would shiny like rubies in the night. His Bio-gem would extend into his body, going to his fist and feet, creating some sort of boots and gloves armor for his limbs. His head would extend a bit on size as well, his horns would become fully covered in bio-gems and glow a bit more as well.
Core’s power would extend, though not as much as his previous transformation the two had seen, a much more berserker-like transformation, like a monster. The Arcosian, now in his monster form, would walk out from the window, a free space was created in the crowd that was walking away and taking pictures, and would try to punch the new-comer down to the ground with a single strike of his new power. ‘’ Wassup mister! May I interest you in some basic things called respect and manners?’’ Core would say in a rude and angry voice, someone was threatening both his new adopted family and his café, that was not acceptable.

" Why are you in Satan City?" " Its a public place, isn't it? Anyone can enter!"" Well, certain people wouldn't really allow you to, despite that claim." " Such big words for such a little man, halfbreed shit." Celmaru growled at his cousin, his fists clenching to the point where veins practically enveloped his hands. A crowd began to form, and a small group of fangirls, approximately five of them, followed behind Liam, completely and hopelessly swooned by him. Some of them even scoffed and gave Celmaru looks of disgust. The hybrid grit his teeth, tempted to spit at his cousin. Before he could do anything, he spoke aloud. " I'm not going to deal with your shit anymore, Liam." " What're you gonna do? Huh? Beat me in a fight? Pahaahhahahaa!" Liam laughed mockingly at Celmaru, his ire reaching its peak already; however he didn't acquire a desire to use Super Saiyan. Guiding his hand towards his belt rings, the hybrid grasped a specific capsule, clicking the trigger and revealing what slept inside. A Scouter, a blue ear-mounted scouter from the SSE, one of his Father's. Before he could slap it onto Liam's face, however, Core stepped in, ascending into his Monster Form. Surprise swept over the hybrid's face, as he had never seem such a form before; he had only seen a fully suppressed and non-suppressed form; the Final Form and the Reduced Form. Many questions flooded his mind at the sight of this new form, but considering the situation both Core and Celmaru were in because of Liam, the hybrid would be unable to ask Core anything about it. Meanwhile, the hybrid's cousin merely stared at Core, dumbfounded at his sudden change. Leaving Celmaru to be relieved of his grasp, listening to Core's rude remark, Liam retorted in kind. " Who are you to intrude in matters between family? Dumb...lizard...thing, who do you think you are?" " ...My son, dumbass." " Pft!....Pahaahaa...HAAAHHHAHAHHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAA! Your WHAT?! THAT THING is your son!?" Several bystanders began to point and laugh, and Liam himself could barely contain his laughter. However, this laughter was abruptly interrupted by Core himself, who grasped the Human's throat in a brief fit of rage. The scouter still within his palm, Celmaru slapped it onto Liam's ear, securing it haphazardly. Somehow he wasn't chocking from Core's vice grip, despite having a high power than the Human himself. " Hey, what're you-" " Shut up and look into the glass H-U-D." " The H-wha-" Celmaru tapped upon the button on the side of the scouter, activating it for scanning purposes. As it began to scan the hybrid's Ki, it also began to pick up Core's Monster Form Ki. " Wha-?! It's...stronger than-" Suddenly, the hybrid's aura blazed to life, making the glasses and plates within the cafe to shudder. Celmaru's Trained Potential was active, and his power wasn't suppressed in any way. The azure scouter beeped rapidly, struggling to keep up with the sudden surge of Ki. Liam's eyes went wide as he saw the massive numbers escalate, and he hung in shock. Celmaru felt the fiery desire to teach Liam a lesson himself, and patted Core upon the shoulder, bio-gem and all, and spoke to his adoptive son briefly. " Core....I appreciate that you've already decided to protect your mother....however this is my concern, leave him to me. Drop him and leave him for me handle....I can properly manage him now. Now...read the scouter, Liam." " Paha! You wish, you hybrid fuck!" " Shut up and read the scouter, Liam....out....loud." " ......."
"Five hundred thousand....and one-fifty thousand...whatever..." Core's Monster Form was shocking, and surprising to behold, however Celmaru didn't really consider it such a wonder as he normally would. As of now his cousin, the one whom he despised to his very core, was before him, taunting him like the last time they had met. Standing upright, Celmaru awaited a response from his tormentor of a relative, yet it wasn't the one he expected. " Foolish halfbreed garbage....do you think I can be intimidated?!" " I'm not who I previously made myself out to be....I have a wife and child I must protect now...I have a clear goal!" " Well who's the rape victim then? Is she a real ugly bitch?....Just so you could produce that-" Liam began to point towards Core, however this action was violently interrupted by Celmaru himself. He lashed out at Liam, clasping his fingers around his cousin's throat. A violent, cruel look dwelled within his eyes, replacing his bright Saiyan flame that usually rested within. A long vein sprouted upon the hybrid's right temple, and reached down towards his cheek. Liam struggled to fight against his cousin's grasp initially, but before he could enhance his own power, Celmaru spoke. " My wife isn't a rape victim...everything she's done for me was by her own consent, initially disregarding my own! She helped me change for the better, and no amount of gratitude will ever show her how much I'm grateful for her! I would kindly ask you to never insult my wife...but unfortunately you insist on being the massive prick you always were, never forgiving, never humble....completely, utterly, unbearably, and woefully PATHETIC!!!" The ground shattered beneath his feet, and his hair began to stand on end, his other ascension was beginning to slip through his mental suppression, and his violent look only became even more overwhelming. " Your asinine actions make me cringe, your speech mannerisms make me nauseous, and every time I see you I want to murder you....do...you....understand?" " .....Uh......er...I-" " Don't say a damn word....you've already done enough. You beat my Mother, you insult me and my family, you remind me of my race and its burden, you send assassins after me....you can't even say that you're sorry, even if I threaten you and utterly terrify you.....you're the garbage here....Human scum...you're the kind of person that makes me want the SSE to destroy this planet...just so they'd all die." The nearby bystanders began to freak out, muttering among themselves and recording the entire incident. Celmaru's hair still stood on end, however it didn't change; the hybrid got a hold of himself by then. " ....Now tell me, Liam....is the family tournament sometime this week?" " Y-Yeah....but I doubt you'll win, you little shi-" Celmaru slapped Liam, retrieving his scouter and leaving a protruding mark upon the relative's face. Liam, despite the danger he could be in, concerning Core's attitude towards him despite just meeting, still insisted upon being a prideful Human being.... how ironic. The hybrid remained serious as he spoke slowly, emphasising his upcoming point. " This isn't even my final form...Liam. You can't even begin to imagine what I'm capable of now....I'm not the tortured little hybrid cousin you remember...I'm Celmaru Anton Waterfield, the Ekam family's worst nightmare." Liam was beginning to feel something other than foolish pride and true arrogance now; he was shaking. He had never seen Celmaru like this, and never was overwhelmed by rage so easily, from what he remembered. He clearly struck a nerve, but he didn't want to prod at it now. Phae, however, finally took action against both her husband and Liam, standing up from the table. " Celmaru and Liam, both of you calm down and stop holding knives at each others' throats! You can settle your disputes at the tournament!" The hybrid gave his cousin's throat a hearty squeeze before dropping the near-limp body of Liam, allowing him to fall onto his knees and nearly choke from the sudden intake of air. He coughed in sputtering gasps of breath, still shocked by his docile cousin's outburst. Grasping his throat, Liam looked up at his cousin, still utterly shocked. Facing his cousin, Celmaru spat into his eye, making Liam lurch forwards in disgust. Furrowing his brows at the Human relative, Celmaru spoke with a steely tone. " Get out of here....and we'll fight once our families meet in a few days. If you insult my wife again...I won't hesitate to murder you where you stand...at my full power...got it?!" Liam frantically began to stand, and stared at his relative in a fading stupor. Eventually, wiping his eye, he swiveled at his heel and stormed off, the crowd and group of fangirls following soon after, beginning to mind their own business once again. Celmaru tucked away his power enhancement, securing his potential for later use. He sighed, knowing that more rumors would form from this alone, and he'd need to stay away from Satan City for a while. ' Thank Kami that the house is away from this city...' Grasping his forehead, his anger dissipating swiftly as it came. The hybrid turned to Core and Phae, ashamed of his outburst. He closed his eyes in shame, bowing his head in a brief apology. " I'm....I'm sorry you had to see that....I'm truly regretting my actions now...this will only escalate from here. I'll....I'll be away from cities for a while, Core...after today, I mean.....er....I hope you can forgive your unstable adoptive father..." Celmaru desperately hoped that his eyes wouldn't betray him, and that Core hadn't made a drastic opinion shift of him. He would need a representative of the Waterfield family now, especially so since not many people in his family still train and fight....and every single member of the Ekam family still does. Celmaru continued to speak, his voice beginning to shake, however ever so slightly. " I....I hope this doesn't...er...affect your decision of being with us, Core......I, er....do hope you can disregard this incident."
Still truthfully ashamed of himself, Celmaru lifted himself off the concrete, flying up towards the roof of the establishment, leaving himself to think and contemplate his actions alone. Phae hopped out of the windowsill, facing skyward towards her husband. A concerned look permeated across her facial expression as she gestured to Core, signaling him to follow. She noticed his Monster Form as soon as he had transitioned into such a form, however she was more concerned over her husband for the time being (...albeit still willing to give Core more Motherly Love is he truly required it).
"Core, let us follow him...his condition might worsen if he continues."
Perking up for a mere moment, she turned and faced the inside of the cafe, calling to the owner inside.
"I apologize for the damages done to this establishment, please allow us to repair it later!"
Phae backed away from the cafe, gaining lift from her own flight. She once again gestured for Core to follow, however she wasn't sure he'd follow regardless. Either way, Phae would have a talk with Celmaru, and make sure he'd be happy once again today.
(I apologize for the wait, you get an extra-long post this time, Core Stold !)

In the blink of an eyes, Core would notice quickly that his adoptive father gave him a rather confused look when he jumped through the now gone window and to his cousin, the Arcosian’s remarks didn’t really affected the human, but he didn’t expected that it would, in fact, the Arcosian was even waiting for the human’s remark about him, honestly, there was nothing someone as weak as this human, threatening his adoptive father that would make him even flinch the slightest on himself. ‘’Dumb lizard thing eh? Let me show you a bit of what respect is you confident little rejection.’’ Core would say in an aggressive ton, he had a way more aggressive voice and much more loud and powerful than both his true and suppressed form. Core blushes a bit and his mouthpiece came down, his look would drift to Celmaru, he just plainly and simply called him his son… which affected greatly Core’s humor and suddenly cooled down his rage. The Arcosian looked down at himself, it was a rather impressive form he had taken, though it was still weaker than his true form, which was rather disappointing for him.
Core, while holding the human scum that had insulted him previously, would smirk widely, making a rather disturbing image that would probably imprint in the human’s mind, though Core was slowly going back to his true form, he was closer to the true form than to his suppressed form and his body was slowly changing, making him drop the human as he stood back and took a more common form again, though his power was even greater in that one. ‘’ Call me weird lizard thing once more… and I’m going to show you what happen when a human goes into space without a suit…’’ Core would simply say as he turned to his father, who had attached something on the man’s head, something Core recognize as an old model of scouter, which could read people’s exact power level, now that was something that could teach the human a lesson of respect.
When Core saw the human’s face when looking into the scouter, he would smile, he probably would have realized by now that he was nothing more than a joke compared to both their power level, even more if he’d notice that Core was wearing heavy weights, that were heavily weighting him down and making him visibly much weaker than he should.
When Core felt a great power up by his father, the young Arcosian smiled widely, that right, this human was no threat to this family, and would never be. It wasn’t a real fighter, a real human fighter would be like Beryl, super strong with a huge potential despite the general weakness of their species, Liam was nothing but a strong human, and would never be something more than that even in his life. Core would look at his father talking to him and would nod lightly. ‘’ He’s all yours father’’ Core would say with a large smile as he dropped the man on the ground, he would then walk slowly to his adoptive mother, which he was worrying about since she had seen him in his monster form, he didn’t wanted her to be afraid of him.
Core would go to his adoptive mother, looking sadly at her and hugging his arm around her sadly. ‘’ Please Phae… don’t hate me… that wasn’t really me… or it was… but… I promise never to become like this again… don’t hate me…’’ Core would repeat, his voice showing even a bit of fear, he was afraid that seeing such a monstrous form of his would scare his adoptive mother of him for the rest of his live. The Arcosian was holding gently on her and nuzzling on her shoulder lightly.
The young Arcosian was ignoring what was going on outside, though his adoptive mother went to take care of it and Core would simply let them talk it out as he went to talk to the manager, looking down as he was rather depressed by what just happened, he would sit near the counter and simply wait for him to be called upon again.
When his father turned to him, the young Arcosian would walk back to both his parents, expecting to be talked over on his previous form, but what came was an apologize, Core would look up, rather surprised as he would tilt his head. ‘’Celmaru… I mean… this guy clearly… the one that was looking for trouble…’ The Arcosian would say as he would slowly pushes the pieces of glass out of the shop, he was glad that it wasn’t a cool day, otherwise this glass would have been a problem that would need to be taken cared of now, but it was rather nice in term of temperature, so people would maybe enjoy some cool breeze in the shop as well.
Core would, without a doubt, decide to follow them up in the sky, there was no way he would abandon them for something that they weren’t the cause of, even less since he learned that there was a tournament of the family that would happen in the near future, which would be the perfect opportunity for Core to prove that he was worth their attention and love, and maybe the occasion to see Liam once more in a way that would allow him to kick his ass legitimately.
‘’ I am proud of you dad…’’ Core would simply say as he flew a bit faster to get back to him.

As Phae and Core ascended to the roof of the establishment, the seaweed woman replied to the changeling's previous apology of sorts, smiling warmly at him as they approached the rooftop. However some threatening intent was hidden behind her words as she spoke, fading away as soon as she finished her sentence.
"Core...it doesn't matter to me what form you're in, or how you act within it; just respect those who deserve it....however, Liam doesn't deserve any ounce of respect and you're allowed to insult him in any way possible...he did the same to my husband and your father, after all."
Meanwhile, a strange mix of both sorrow and anger swirled within the hybrid, forcing his hand, despite his initial resistance, to ascend to Super Saiyan once more in his rage. He lurched forward, his Ki building to point of nearly overflowing, and his body began to change; to transform. Clenching his fists together to attempt to resist the urge to ascend, it all ended in a vain attempt; as Celmaru's hair stood on end, facing the sky in defiance. A flash of gold appeared, and the dark brown melted away into a bold blonde, and the hybrid's even darker brown hues shifted into an icy azure shade. Celmaru had ascended to Super Saiyan once again, and he felt amazing; his personality corrupting and shifting along with the transformation. His lips curled into a cocky smirk for a mere moment, then it faded, and tears began to streak down his cheeks. Celmaru had surprised himself, suddenly forming the substance, and attempted to wipe them away immediately.
"Fucking...stupid...emotions! A Super Saiyan doesn't need feelings!"
"...A husband does, however."
The hybrid spun on his heels, facing his wife. He stood upright, facing her awkwardly, knowing what might come next. However, Celmaru didn't expect a quote.
" 'Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their mind cannot change anything'..."
"...Of all times to quote something, you choose to do so when I'm unstable and in my Super Saiyan form?....Talk about timing, Phae."
"Liam got to you again, didn't he?"
"...Er....obviously not, I-"
Phae sighed, resting her hands upon her hips.
"Such a blatant lie..."
"....."
"Celmaru, please tell me if someone has gotten to you....I can help you feel better."
"I'm fine....can't you tell?"
"I can tell that you're just lying so you can avoid the subject. Please, Celmaru, tell me what ails you!"
The hybrid remained stubborn, and simply folded his arms and looked away. Celmaru truly looked uncomfortable, however he kept his Super Saiyan facade up as he did so, muttering about how a golden god doesn't need to tell someone how he feels. Phae didn't take to kindly to that, however, and took a brief stride towards her husband, looking up at him, somewhat irritated.
"Please, I beg you, tell me."
Celmaru couldn't help but blush in this situation; despite getting used to Phae herself, he was never able to be comfortable with what she did or said. Despite his blushing face, his ire arose from within, and he guided his hand to shoulder-level.
"You want me to tell you?....Fine."
The hybrid slammed his fist into a nearby vent, tearing it to pieces around his bare knuckles; shredding his skin and nearly revealing bone. Suddenly, Celmaru started raising his voice as he spoke.
"Liam is the most vile, malicious, abhorrent, unbearable, abominable, detestable, appalling, horrific, atrocious, horrendous, deplorable, and absolutely DESPICABLE Human being I'VE EVER MET!!! He was the worst Human that has ever been born onto this planet, and tortured me the most....and still got me in trouble for what he had done! He had physically beaten my Mother four times, locked me in his basement for four days without food, bullied me to no end, and I was still blamed if I even looked at him in an odd way....do you know what that's like?! Not even a god like myself can even stand the thought without being overwhelmed with unyielding rage!"
"Celmaru, that was in the past, you can-"
"I want to take revenge upon him for what he's done....he even insulted you! Called you a rape victim, an ugly bitch....he doesn't even know you exist! You were right in front of him and he didn't even acknowledge you!"
"The tournament is soon....you can deal with him then."
The hybrid lowered his hand, blood dripping from his knuckles slowly. Thoughts flowed through Celmaru's overactive brain as he stood there, silent. Out of nowhere, he began to laugh, subtly at first, then it became a hearty laugh of confidence. An arrogant smile stretched across his face as an idea formed within his mind.
"Well....I guess we'll have to train then. We'll train our asses off! I'll make sure we can kick Liam's arrogant ass to the damn curb!"
A complete one-eighty from earlier, however it was still reasonable. Celmaru had gone from being depressed over making a scene, yet was now confidently implying that training will completely destroy Liam in the upcoming tournament. Phae smiled, knowing that her Super Saiyan Husband had returned....now to get him out of the golden form. Despite Celmaru's newfound confidence over how they'll wipe the floor with Liam, they didn't know that the Human had some....demonic connections at his disposal.
Celmaru has ascended to Super Saiyan! His PL is now 1,503,854!

Core would look up at his adoptive mother, expecting to be grounded, but the only thing he got was a comfort from her… like she was always giving him, which would make him smile warmly as a tear would run down his light cheek, he would go to her and wrap his arm tenderly around her, a wide smile on his face. ‘’ I love you Phae… thanks for… accepting me whatever I do… and yes, I’ve noticed this behavior from the cousin of Celmaru… he does not deserve any respect from anyone.. and now I’m… kind off looking forward to that ‘’tournament’ they talked about… and hoping I’ll end up against him… not to dirty Celmaru’s fist with him… a loss against me would be more humiliating from me of all people’’ Core would say, trying to install a complicity with his adoptive mother against Liam.
As Core would look at Celmaru, rising the power he knew way too well from Daiki in his mind when they trained together and sparred, Core would smile widely, he was even more proud of his father’s latent power, it was incredible. Suddenly, a ghost made of blue ki would emerge from Core’s body and would stand in front of the hybrid, smiling widely as his voice, seemingly coming from far away, would comfort him as he layed a hand on his shoulder. ‘’ You’re ascended young semi-saiyan, you’ll see that there is even greater power that awaits you if you keep training like this, also, thanks for taking care of… I’d call him my little brother… Core.’’ Daiki would say before turning back to Phae and smiling lightly. ‘’ Eh eh… I wish I had this kind of mother as well… the namekians weren’t really strong on the emotional side… and let’s say I wasn’t an easy kid like Core is as well…’’ The saiyan would say in a chuckle, he seemed more clear than the last time they saw him. Core would look up at Daiki and smiles. ‘’ You’re really… getting out more often, is that a good sign?’’ Core would ask Daiki as the saiyan’s ghost nodded. ‘’ Yes of course Core!’’
Core was still following his adoptive parent’s discution as Daiki’s ghost faded away after greeting the new super saiyan to his new power, the young Arcosian on himself, would look at both his adoptive parent, he didn’t had much to say after all, he was just going to look at them and wait of there was anything he could say, at this point, he was really nothing more than, well… a spectator.
Core would notice something really weird about his adoptive father, this form was affecting him with anger, he was even looking threatening to Phae, which was something that was alerting Core more and more, especially since he punched the vents, he was clearly unstable right now. At a point, Core even made sure he was ready to interrupt him and block a punch from him to his adoptive mother, it would damage him less that it would damage her, he could survive, she would probably not.
However, things calmed down after Celmaru’s burst of rage, as the mention of the tournament would bring something back into Celmaru, thought Core was too much on his guard to be as confident as he was too concerned about his previous and sudden burst of violence, could it be that he was a psychopath? After all this good time he passed, was Core endangering himself while being with them? And since they were ignoring him a lot and just talking to each other, it was something Core was thinking more and more.
Then a though struck on Core head, something so obvious, he couldn’t think of because it was way too obvious. [ M-maybe… maybe… they don’t care that much about me because… I’m not their real child… maybe they’re expecting more of their real child and now they’re putting me in background, like I was simply a reason for them to want a child? Maybe them too… were using my like an object…] Core would think to himself as tears would run down his cheeks, he couldn’t believe he got caught in a false family again, and to think Phae’s affection could only be something that was artificial, something to wait for until she could gave it to her real child, like he was some sort of toy, a plushy you give affection to until you’re tired of it.

Celmaru had noticed Core beginning to cry, and a sudden shock swept through Phae, who kept a mental link with Core since they met today. Both turned towards their adoptive son, immediately concerned. The couple spoke in sync, spouting different lines regarding their concern. " Wha-...Core, what's wrong?" " Core, what is it?" The Super Saiyan hybrid had lost the form immediately, his hair melting away into a dark brown once more, along with his icy blue hues shifting into an even darker brown. Celmaru's hair plummeted, falling into place once again as he rushed over to Core. However, Phae was already there, consoling him. Celmaru, on the other hand, couldn't do as much as Phae could, and only did the single action that came to his mind; apologizing. " I'm sorry Core! Super Saiyan messes with my head...I can't act like my usual self when I'm using it! And Liam just made it worse!" " Core...please don't cry....you'll make your mother feel terrible about what she's done. Yes, we care about our biological child, but we still must care for you as well....my husband just has some issues we must cope with." " ....Thanks for putting it lightly..."" Er...I might have...some...er...emotional instabilities....however, it isn't usually that intense....I once again apologize..." They were trying their best to make Core feel better; as soon as possible, even. Regardless of what the changeling was to them, they despised seeing anyone cry. Phae had already embraced Core once again, holding him close as she quietly wiped away the arcosian's tears. A look of concern and sorrow permeated throughout the seaweed woman's facial expression, and tucked her head behind Core's as she continued to embrace him in her typical motherly fashion. Celmaru, meanwhile, was at a loss for words, and couldn't find anything to say. Somehow, he forced a few words out of his mouth, stumbling over them as he spoke. " I-I....er....I a-apologize for.....acting so rash...all of a-a sudden, h-however....I do h-hope you can forgive me....and y-your mother, as well...." " I'm not the one who punched a vent, Mister Super Saiyan." " You know I act vastly different in that form!" Phae poked her husband on the nose, smiling at him with the knowledge that she had gotten to him. The hybrid gave up with attempting to argue, and sat down upon the rooftop, folding his arms and attempting to clear his head. He exhaled slowly, hoping to clear his mind and return to a more neutral state. His wife continued to comfort Core, hoping to prove him wrong, concerning what he began to believe. However, the way she put it was more like an order, rather than a suggestion. Despite such a tone, it began to soften up once she finished her first sentence. " Don't you dare think that way again, Core. I wasn't lying when I said that I wanted you to grow up happily. Seeing you like this just tears away at my heart, so I must ask of you to please, please...don't think that we'd ignore you because we want to....sometimes we must shift our attention towards others, even if someone else doesn't desire it." " ...Don't start doubting yourself now, and don't believe that we're using you....because we both have a common enemy, and we'll be working together in this endeavor....along with that, this could be your rite of passage....through a trial by combat!" " Celmaru, please don't force Core to go through such a thing." The hybrid spoke up, this time with more stability. Even brief meditation can do wonders for certain people, including this hybrid in particular. He decided it was time to mention this to Core, considering that he was (hopefully) going to participate in the tournament. It was a tradition that his Mother had only told him about once; when his grandfather Codban attempted to adopt a child, a male child, knowing that his current offspring was a female; Celia Waterfield, Celmaru's Mother. Codban had failed miserably, and the child had died soon after the trial was initiated; Celmaru didn't expect Core to go down as easily. " Its tradition, Phae....I can't change that, and neither can you....at least not now." Phae held the young changeling close to her bosom, embracing his head with her arms. The seaweed woman didn't want to endanger Core, and neither did Celmaru; however some things must be done. The hybrid stood, pushing against the rooftop to stand upon his feet. He began thinking of what the Saiyan named Daika had mentioned before; how there are even greater heights past Super Saiyan. However, these thoughts were replaced by ideas of apology, as a sudden urge to do so erupted within Celmaru once again. Facing the arcosian, the hybrid walked up to him and Phae. " My behavior has been....sporadic, as of late....I do apologize...er...again. From becoming a Super Saiyan, developing my relationship with you and Phae....even meeting Liam again, my mind has been running in thousands of figurative circles and I haven't found a way to handle it all just yet..." " At least you explained yourself in the end." " Well...I'm not the best at such things....but, er...anyway, Core....I hope you can disregard such thoughts....those that you formed before, I mean. As Phae said, yes, we do care about our legitimate offspring, however he won't be here until much later; you're with us now. That's at least one thing we can never deny, Core, keep that in mind." Celmaru did something surprisingly bold and sudden; and yet he didn't mind doing such a thing. The hybrid embraced both of them, hoping that Core wouldn't mind, and repeatedly apologized. He had pecked Phae upon the forehead before doing so, and barely stopped to breathe as he apologized at full force. Shortly after doing so, he paused, noting an important point of information. " I know I have many problems....but my wife and son aren't one of them." " Celmaru, its fine..you don't have to apologize so intensely-" " I can't do much else, you know. I'm not one to be able to comfort others very well, nor can I act like a mother to them..." Sighing softly, she faced Core, who (hopefully) was still within her embrace. She smiled warmly at the arcosian, leaning her head against her husband's chest. Speaking softly, yet quizzically, Phae gave Core a single question to answer. " Well...Core....can you deal with us for a little longer?"
Celmaru reverted to his Base Form. PL is now 102,535. (Information about Ascended Super Saiyans acquired...sort of) Core Stold

Having dragged the concern of both his new adoptive parents, Core would look away, trying to wipe away his tears that were falling, he didn’t knew what those were and was super-confused and sad, he didn’t knew what to do, what to say or what to think, his emotions was tearing him apart quickly, and he knew only one thing could make him feel better, his mother. Quickly, the changeling leaped in the arm of his adoptive mother Phae and would hide his face on her neck, his tears still falling down his cheeks rapidly as he would hold upon her tightly. ‘’ P-please… don’t forget me… don’t drop me…’’ Core would simply say in his sad voice as he closed his eyes tightly.
While listening to his father’s apologize, Core would grab him in the hug quickly, making the three of them hug tightly as he was trying to contain those rivers of tears running down his eyes and cheeks, and he couldn’t see anything at all. ‘’ Please… I don’t want to feel like an outsider anymore… I don’t want to be… abandoned… again…’’ Core was saying while holding them close to himself, he shook his head lightly. ‘’ Just… don’t abandon me…’’
The Arcosian would slowly stop crying as he was holding unto his two adoptive parents tightly yet without hurting them. ‘’ D-do not apologize… just… don’t… don’t leave me alone… I forgive you father, I’m proud of you… but… you’re scary in this form… I thought you were going to hit Phae… I was scared…’’ Core would admit, laying a soft kiss on both their forehead and resting their three foreheads together, letting out a soft breath out and opening his eyes back.
The embrace of his mother would finish calming Core, as he was in her arm, his body would become less tense, and his form would even return to its suppressed state, showing a huge shrink of his power as he would curl up near her and nuzzle on her neck lightly. ‘’ I… I know you have to shift your attention towards other… but… seeing you two…. With Celmaru almost hitting you…that is something I don’t want to see… ever… I just want us to be happy… and work things together… I want to… I want to kick Liam’s ass for what he did… he pissed Celmaru so far…’’ Core would simply say as he looked at his father and tilted his head. ‘’ Rite of passage? Trial by combat? What are you talking about Celmaru? ‘’ Core would ask, his head tilting on the other side curiously. ‘’ What do I have to fight? Anything… to be close to both of you..’’
Core would then turn his head to Phae and shake his head lightly as she smiled lightly. ‘’ I am a fighter too Phae… and apparently this family won’t accept me if I don’t strike big… I don’t want Liam to mock Celmaru because of me… it is him who I will take on…if I can chose that is…’’ Core would say in a voice filled with resolution.
When his father was apologizing again, Core would shake his head and put his hand gently on the hybrid’s head. ‘’ Don’t apologize… we have to unite now… Liam did something, it’s his fault if I… doubted like that… I need to get revenge upon him… and prove that I’m worth to the rest of your family so something similar never happens again…’’ Core would say before hearing him say that he was with them now, and what was important was the present, Core knew that, he would nod lightly and smile. ‘’ Okay…’’
Upon Celmaru calling him his son once again, his heart pounded a big shot; Core would look at him and embrace him back tightly. Their family embrace was continuing in all its tender and gentle ways, Core would rise his head to Phae when she asked her question, he would nod happily. ‘’ Yes… yes I can, if you can deal with me as well… I mean… you do right?’’ Core would say as he smiled widely and cutely, his childish nature, sometime clouded by his mature acts and force, was now shining more than ever.
Core would then slowly drift his head to Celmaru and smiled wider than ever, he would give him a cleaver look. ‘’ So, who do I have to fight and where? I want to prove your family that I’m not just a lizard thing, show them a bit of what Arcosians are capable o.’’ Core stopped in his sentence, it was the first time he did spoke of his race as a symbol of strength, he would wonder a bit before shaking his head and smiling back. ‘’ Anyway, I’ll do anything… there is not much that would put me down.’’

Celmaru ended up being embraced by Core, which made him flinch slightly before regaining his bearings. This day has gone down a much more dramatic route than he had originally anticipated, however it seemed to have corrected itself in the end. The hybrid's lips curled into a weak smile, once again unsure of what to say next. However, Core gave him something to explain, and Celmaru complied. " The trial by combat is a tradition created by the founder of the Waterfield family, Core. Any family member that wishes to adopt a child will have to send them to fight something, someone, or the current head of the family. Unfortunately, only one other child was successfully adopted into the Waterfield family....and she created the Ekam family." An expression of disdain permeated throughout the hybrid's facial features, and Phae sighed softly as she heard it. " Celmaru, your ancestors didn't anticipate such a thing, however, their family isn't one to be trifled with. Unfortunately, the Waterfield family has had a severe decline of warriors over the past century...Celmaru is the first one in such a time...despite this, the Ekam family has always had warriors spring from their loins....we're at a severe disadvantage." " However...the member who adopts the child can choose how to organize the trial, but the head of the family must decide if they passed or not....which may be a problem." " Codban....he's a rather...." " ...Stuck up individual. But, he is your great-grandfather, Core!" Celmaru's grandfather was another close-minded Human, and refused to accept Celmaru for what he was. Codban had denied Celia's existence after the hybrid was born, and stubbornly awaited a Human child. That child would never come to be, however, and he was left with Celmaru to oversee as a grandson. Dismissing the awkward memories, Celmaru began patting Core upon the bio-gem, confident that he'd surpass the challenge entrusted to him; fighting in the tournament. " On another note....our trial isn't anything special; just fight in the tournament...our family will be there, even Maru...I think!" " Would he show? He left the family decades ago..." " Its a family event, our family isn't too keen on missing such things. Oh, and Core...Maru is your...er...granduncle? Hmm..." " I wonder..." There would only be 5 opponents, however they would all be the best of the best within the Ekam family; the Waterfield family would only have two of their own...and three representatives. Toma "Mato" Waterfield wasn't allowed to fight, and Celia was....not accustomed to fighting, to say the least. " Well, Core, don't worry...I know you'll win against at least one opponent. If we fight, however, then you aren't allowed to hold back, you hear?" " Core...please don't worry, we will handle you for as long as you'd like...through combat or otherwise."As Core questioned who he would fight, or what he'd face, the hybrid pulled an interested glace from his pupils, revealing a curious look. He brought his hand to his chin, resting its respective elbow onto the opposing arm. Searching his mind for names that he remembered, Celmaru brought up a single name. " ...Its possible that you'll face Evian Ekam at some point....He's the youngest, yet one of the strongest...that kid is a wonderful child, however his family is already affecting him..." Celmaru shrugged, unsure if he would ever be correct upon that topic. Phae had given Core another gentle squeeze, emanating another kind of affection towards him. The hybrid almost felt jealous of the attention the changeling was receiving, and he rested his hands upon both of their heads. Core had made a specific remark; that of showing what Arcosians are made of. Celmaru smirked, then it grew and shifted into a wide smile. " There you go, use that Pride! A Pride those of that only the Saiyans can rival!" " What made this come about?" " Mere excitement, Phae. My Saiyan side isn't completely devoid of any substance within my genetic structure!" " My...such wondrous amounts of confidence....this wasn't here the other day...only your Super Saiyan form gave you that much~" Celmaru's smile faded as swiftly as it came, and a beet red blush came in its place. The hybrid attempted to back away from his wife in embarrassment, however Core's embrace prevented him from doing so. The hybrid said the only thing he could in this situation; and still stuttered as he did so. " N-Not in front of C-Core!" " Oh my, your father was such a-" " Stop that!" Phae clasped a feminine hand over her mouth to stifle a laugh, unfortunately it didn't help. A gleeful laughter escaped Phae's lips, and left her husband to become flustered for the upteenth time. Certain reactions never change between these two. Celmaru's mindset was still somewhat prudish and shy, however it was bound to shift into something else sooner or later; he was practically the reincarnation of Celmaru Regalia Waterfield to begin with...albeit only in appearance. While the young Arcosian was holding both his parents in a tender embrace filled with the love he was now able to give to them, the youngling was no way more warm to Celmaru, even if he wasn’t attached to him as much as Phae, he did had a strong attachment to his new adoptive dad, even if he was a bit unstable, he could train him, and he was the more solid part of their family, while Phae was the soft part you want to go to after a fight that was harder than expected, and in the end, she could make it feel better.
While hearing about the trial by combat, Core would get interested. A traditional combat that would make the new child’s that were adopted like him prove their strength to their new family, It was something that looked funny and also really interesting as he could easily show to his new family that he was stronger than most and would make a great new child to the family, even though Core doubted that he could produce another child, wondering if he could produce a child made him confused a bit.
‘’ This looks great! I can fight, train even more, get stronger AND prove I’m worthy if your parenting all at the same time! I mean, it could have been more complicated, I’ve never been good at… exams… like the one we were given at the lab, but fighting… let’s say this is my ground and I’m glad I can show I am worthy with it!’’ Core would say as he was getting excited about the fights he was talking about, even though he knew wasn’t really warm to the idea, he knew he could handle it and be back in her arm with pride after a while.
Core would listen to them talking about their family, their leaders and especially his great-grandfather, when Phae mentioned that the ‘Ekam’ family had a lot of warriors spring, Core would raise his shoulder, he had serious doubt that any of them would be a match for him, maybe he was a child, but he had the power level to play at the grown-up table. ‘’ Don’t worry mommy, I’ll take them and show them that the Celmaru family got themselves a strong new member that isn’t small potatoes to deal with!’’ Core would say in a rather funny ton.
While hearing about his great-grandfather, Core would understand that he was the real threat to his entering in the family. The man was probably a saiyan and wouldn’t really accept an Arcosian in his family, after all, both races were fighting each other for ever since they met each other, and Core wasn’t expecting to change all that in the blink of an eye, but he also knew that the saiyan would respect someone strong enough to beat them, and he had two person on his side to prove he wasn’t some power-hungry Arcosian like there was so much.
Feeling his patting on his head, Core would look up at Celmaru and blush a bit as he rubbed his cheeks lightly on him, he was acting so nicely and, to Core’s surprise, it was nearly as nice as Phae’s patting, which made him purr again softly and close his eyes to enjoy the patting a bit more.
Hearing about a new family member would make Core open his eyes again and look up at Celmaru and listen to his explanation, he would then tilt his head. ‘’ You seem excited about this ‘Maru’, who is it?’’ Core would ask curiously with an innocent smile on his face.
Core would nod happily when Celmaru said he was going to win at least one combat, he would smirk widely and poke the hybrid’s cheek. ‘’ you mean I’m going to win then all right~’’ Core would say with a confident smirk on his face, which he though he deserved, after all, he had the potential to win at least a lot of the tournament, if Celmaru wouldn’t use his super saiyan that is. ‘’ Don’t worry Phae~ I’ll be part of this family by this mean, no need to give yourself more than you already have~’’ Core would say as he pecked her cheek as well softly.
The Arcosian would listen closely to the description of maybe his opponent; he would pout lightly and look at Phae with a worry look. ‘’ It sounds depressing… I hope he’ll be okay if he loses…’’ Core would say, rather worried not to ruin a child’s life so he could live his own, it wasn’t the point to him at all.
When he heard his adoptive father talk about pride, Core would shake his head lightly and smiles a bit. ‘’ Confidence and pride are two different things dad~ for example, if I’d beat you on the tournament, your pride would be hurt, if you beat me, then my confidence would only tell me that if I train more, I will win next round~’’ Core would say with a giggle at his father.
Core wasn’t understand what his two adoptive parents were talking about in term of pride, but he had the feeling it wasn’t about pride anymore, he would simply raise his shoulder and hold a bit closer unto them. ‘’ So, I still don’t know when is the thing, I have to train before it and get to my maximum I can! You know, not to get there without preparation and everything!’’ Core would say in a rather incredibly happy voice, he couldn’t wait to test his might.

As Core confidently proclaimed that he surely had enough power to prove himself, Celmaru silently wished he had such vast amounts of confidence. The hybrid has never felt confident enough to believe he could prove himself to anyone, however he couldn't let the weakness show. However, once Core mentioned Maru, Phae almost flinched, but fortunately her husband had a different reaction. Beaming brightly at the young changeling, Celmaru could only answer with a heap of simple words. " Maru is your Grand-Uncle, and one of few warriors left in the Waterfield side of the family. He had left decades ago, according to Phae, to train around the world...I'm surprised we haven't seen him yet." The hybrid pondered over this thought for a mere moment, before shaking his head and dismissing the thoughts for later. He adjusted his smile, making sure to face Core as he did so. The changeling spoke of how he hoped that Evian would be alright if he lost, and both Phae and Celmaru gave Core a simple reassuring expression to behold. " He'll be fine....he's a stronger kid than you'd think." The hybrid's blush had long faded since the brief moments he previously had spent beet red. Celmaru had become more efficient in hiding such things, however he wasn't able to move much due to his adoptive son's embrace, along with his wife's now. He shifted his weight slightly between his feet as Core spoke of pride and confidence. Celmaru couldn't help but smirk as the arcosian mentioned one defeating the other, and vice versa. " Oh really, do you want to see who is the better fighter now?" The hybrid looked down upon Core, inviting him indirectly to a sparring match. Phae caught on to this notion immediately, however, and jabbed her husband in the side to prevent him from continuing. Celmaru jerked to the side via the impact from Phae's elbow, and felt a dull pain permeated throughout his left kidney. " P-Phae what was that-" " Don't fight Core! I know he might be able to fight you already, but he's still a child!" " He can handle it, he's an arcosian, after all!" " He's needs support more than combat!" " You assume that, he's plenty happy as is!" Before the argument could escalate; Celmaru had another bold idea. Using Phae's past actions against her, the hybrid firmly planted his lips upon her own, making for a brief contact to silence her. He guided his hand towards her left cheek, ensuring Phae's inability to escape. The couple had swiftly settled down, dismissing their argument and allowing what the hybrid has done to continue. Their blissful contact lasted for roughly 30 seconds before Phae pulled away, a soft blush upon her facial expression. Unfortunately Celmaru's facial features bore the same; however the hybrid's blush was akin to beet red. " Core will be fine...I wouldn't dare harm him, nor kill him...alright?" " ....Mhm...." Phae nodded meekly, shocked by her husband's bold decision, yet she didn't find it repulsive. Stepping away briefly, and clearing his throat, the hybrid spoke to his adoptive son bluntly. " Now, we're going to have to train for this tournament...so I'm hoping that you'll be able to train with us until that day comes. However you've been growing at an exponential rate, so I won't be holding back, understood?" Celmaru folded his arms, smirking at Core to ensure he was serious, yet lighthearted about the topic; he was still a Saiyan after all, and fighting was still appealing to an extent. Within the back of the hybrid's mind, however, he hoped that he'd be able to keep up with Core, if not stay ahead of him...he was starting to become self-conscious of his own power compared to Core Stold's...it could form an inferiority complex if the arcosian were to surpass him by a vast amount. Learning a bit of a part from the story of the family he was now a part of was something Core was enjoying quite a lot, it made him feel more and more part of this new family if his, as he was kind of a stranger to it at the moment, barely knowing two person from it, though it was enough for him to know only those two for now, as they were giving him everything he could need and never knew he wanted from a family life he never quite knew the advantages of the being with. ‘’Oh~ interesting! Maybe Mary would be more likely to like me if I’m strong than the others from the family? Fighters are always more open-minded when it comes to accepting as I heard, at the exception of saiyans which are most likely to reject anyone that isn’t like them..’’ Core would say, both to himself and to them as kind off a reminder.
When the Arcosian received a good sign of how Evian would be if he was to lose their fight, it would make Core sigh a bit to himself in relief, the last thing he wanted to do was to ruin a child’s life to get his, it wasn’t something fair and he was far from having the right to do so. ‘’ I’m glad… I wouldn’t be able to live with the weight of having taken away a child’s life to live mine… knowing that he’ll be okay re-assure me a lot…’’ Core would say before pecking his adoptive mother lightly on the cheek, a sign he was trying to learn the meaning more and more, though it was a rather nice thing to do overall, and Phae seemed to appreciate it as well, so he was on the good track.
When Celmaru mentioned that he wanted to fight with Core to find out who was the stronger, Core would simply shake his head, seeing Phae’s reaction, he would simply shake his head toward Celmaru and then looked in his eyes seriously. ‘’ First, I’m wearing weights, and I’m not to remove them until an important fight occur, they are there so they boost my gains in term of strength without concidering what I am doing, and they are weakening me a lot, fighting you would require me to remove them, and a spar isn’t worth the removal of my weights, nothing against you, it’s just logic…’’ Core would say in his always polite yet childish voice.
As Phae went away from them and Celmaru kept talking about them sparring, Core would keep shaking his head negatively. ‘’ I can’t spar with you dad… beside, having only one good fight at the tournament is way better than having a preview of the fight right before it… and to be honest… I’m not in the mood for fighting… if I were to remove my weights, you’d have to use your super saiyan to compare to my strength… which is a form that affects you way too much… we can take the chance of you breaking a whole building down by accident…’’ Core would try to explain to his adoptive saiyan father, hoping he would make him go back on his decision about sparring with him, Core didn’t wanted to fight right now, he wasn’t in the mood for it at all after what happened with Liam and Celmaru in super saiyan.
