So the time had finally come. Rubbing at his neck nervously where his once-active bomb implant used to be, Friion found himself quite surprised at the conclusion of his encounter with the Queen of all Saiyans. Mulling over the last exchanges of conversation to the meeting, a warm but venomous smile twisted into his lips. Floating near his sealed window within his cell that allowed him to witness nothing but the black void of space, he waited patiently as he sipped at his tea. Any minute now, the Saiyan he'd...befriended, would be here to finalize everything. He relished the thought of freedom; an opportunity to carry his own life on his shoulders and travel wherever he wanted, but he already had a goal in mind. After the fall of Arcose, a massive power gap had been left in the fiefdoms, one that had driven itself into a civil war. While in no position to lead himself, he did have quite the idea brewing on how he personally could remedy it. He was no Emperor, but he vowed for that to one day change. As the cup of steaming liquid left his lips, almost on cue he would rotate slowly in the air, keeping his floating posture as his cell door slid open. Jinjir had made his appearance, stepping away from the cell with his arms folded in a smirk. His feet finally meeting the floor, Friion finished his beverage as he stepped through the doorway, setting the dish on the table nearby.
''So. Finally getting yourself out of here, huh? You should see the other prisoners. I don't think i've ever seen so much anger in a facial expression before.'' ''Is that so? Hearing as much has suddenly put me into a much better mood. It should be a reward in and of itself to see their sneering faces as I make my departure. How will you fare, I wonder? No overly-friendly prisoner to talk to anymore and all. You may just end up bored to tears, or even death, I suppose.'' ''Pfft. Don't get so full of yourself, lizard. Me and my boys are just gonna go back to what we used to do. Card games and betting on fights out in the yard. You're not exactly the best thing since sliced bread, as much as i'm sure that hurts to hear.'' ''Mm. Scathing. Send me an invitation to the funeral of your humor, would you? I have a feeling what little of it you had is almost certainly going to die out in short order.'' ''Wise-ass. You've got an answer for everything.'' ''I feel sharper than i've ever been, unfortunately for you. Let's not delay, kitten. I've a pod to catch, after all.'' ''Yeah, yeah. Whatever you say. Come on, i'll lead you there. I've already pushed your paperwork so all you should have to do is check out. You should know that this pod is still our property. After you land wherever you're going, it's coming back on autopilot. Good luck making the cash for your own ride with that warm attitude of yours.''
'You could always lend me yours, you know. It isn't like you ever leave this place.'' Smirking with his clever retort, he followed after Jinjir, admiring the scorning, hateful mugs of the rabble locked behind bars. No longer would he suffer the same humdrum existence; he was free! Smiling jovially, he would fold his hands behind his back as his tail swished side to side excitedly and beyond his means of suppression. Approaching the check-in station, his short stature allowed him to only just barely see above the counter. Jinjir withdrew his file, peering through his paperwork. One by one she shifted the files behind each other as he nodded, confirming the correct finalization of the information. It was stamped with a peculiar-looking seal, likely one that represented very high authority. ''Well. There's nothing to return to you, because you weren't checked in with anything but the clothes on your back. This is it, I guess. Time to head to the pod.'' ''Don't cry, Jinjir.'' Smirking devilishly once again at the stare that could only be likened to a middle finger from the Saiyan, his feet clacked only slightly against the floor as he followed along. Turning one last corner and heading through a high-clearance security gate manned by several guards (who all gave their share of sneers and dirty looks), Jinjir finally stopped before the pod.
''Here it is. You can use the navigation map to get...wherever. You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here. Like I said, after it touches down, it's coming straight back.'' ''Yes, yes. I heard you well and clear.'' Approaching the entry hatch, he would bump the button with the side of his fist, causing it to fold upward. Standing in front for a moment, he would look back to Jinjir. ''What's the hold-up? Get goin' already.'' Friion would then extend his hand from his short stature up to Jinjir's massive height. Blinking curiously, the Saiyan reached out and shook his hand. ''Thank you, Jinjir. You helped me make this all possible. Perhaps I can swing by again sometime, though of course under much different circumstances.'' ''Yeah. Uh-...sure. You're welcome. Look, just take off already, yeah? I'm never gonna hear the end of this crap as it is.'' ''As you wish. Goodbye, kitten. Try not to do too much paperwork.'' The Saiyan rolled his eyes as the lizard clamored into the pod, shutting the hatch. A dim red light illuminated the dark chamber as the inside of the pod hummed to life, and then very suddenly dropped through the floor which was immediately sealed up again within the blink of an eye.

Now floating in space, Friion nimbly danced his fingers across the navigation chart, setting the pod to autopilot.
He was going to Yardrat.
...Home.
