(This thread takes place after the "Kill Them!" thread: wodsouls.freeforums.net/thread/6595/open?page=1 ) Near the base of Mt. Paozu, two figures stood before a certain zoanthrope. Celmaru and Phae Waterfield looked over towards Pocky, both wondering where to begin. Celmaru was crossing his arms, wondering where to begin this fox's flight training. Many ideas flowed through his mind like a river; step-by step instruction, forceful incentives, or.... " Alright Pocky," Celmaru began, "I have an idea on how to begin your Flight training. We'll just-" Celmaru's sentence was interrupted by the loud, thunderous crash of a nearby creature. Celmaru had another idea strike his mind, but he'd wait for it to be enacted later. " As I was saying....We'll just measure your fighting experience by how you handle a stronger opponent. I'll train you from there." " Celmaru, the dinosaurs are-" " Not now Phae, most of the dinosaurs here are weaker than you, so you can handle them." Phae shrugged as she lazily flew off towards the dinos, later skewering them for a meal later in the day. As Phae left to handle the dinosaurs, Celmaru uncrossed his arms, shifting his limbs to his battle stance. His arms were angled inward, with his left hand pointing at a 90 degree angle, his fist clenched. His right hand was near his chest, the respective hand in a clawed position to catch any stray blasts. Phae paid attention to Celmaru as she left, making sure he was within view. Phae's arms sharpened as she left to find the dinos that were disrupting them. " I'll let you take the first move, Pocky, but I'll warn you that I'm not going to suppress my power for this. Your enemies in the future definitely won't, be sure of that much." Celmaru's aura ignited, its light blue color shining around him. Celmaru's eyes were soft, and rather calm, ready to teach the sheltered fox everything he knows. He awaited the first move as the cries of dying dinosaurs echoed throughout the mountain, displaying Phae's efficiency at hunting.

After the day he had, and the fact he still hadn't a bite to eat only compounded how bad this day ended up being. Now, after being flown over the ocean, he was in front of this human and his seaweed wife, about to show the guy just what he was made of. He stood up off the ground, leaving his stuff on the ground by his feet, and looked around. The seaweed girl, off killing dinosaurs. The foxman really started to wonder why he left the farm now. The real world was just far too weird for him to handle. Pocky rubbed his face, looking far too stressed and tired at the moment to deal with life, let alone this guy and his visible aura floating around him the way it was. He couldn't even do that at this point in time, but here he was, expected to do more than that.
"I dunno what yer thinkin, but I am far from ready to be doin this.... magic aura, mumbo jumbo with yeh, partner. Heck, I only just recently got me hands a glowin fer that big light ball and I still ain't got the reigns on that wild horse. You expectin me t' mosey on up to yer level? On an empty stomach, at that?"
The foxman turned away from Celmaru and opened up the cloth pack he had, taking out his favorite book, "Ground Breaking Science". He gingerly and meticulously flitted through the pages of the book, looking for a certain section, licking his finger every now and then turning the page. When he found what he was looking for he read it over, scratching his head.
"See, lookie here now. Ain't this lil thing a bit much fer my current level? Not sayin I won't try, but.... don't expect too much from me, partner."
Setting the book down, he turned to the human with a concerned expression. He moved away from his stuff and raised his fists up. His technique is so amateur that he should be ashamed of himself. Granted, he's never been trained before. It looks like he knows the basics of what he's trying to do, but no in depth reasoning behind it. Books can only tell you so much about technique, and until one can put them into practice, someone as sheltered as Pocky wouldn't know how to train properly. The foxman tried to do what Celmaru did, but he couldn't proper sum up his ki to form his aura. His ki could be felt fluctuating up and down wildly, but not to a significant enough level to form an aura. Luckily he noticed his own ki, and started to focus on it.
"Now, hang on a jip. How you doin that? I plum-done just don't get it."
Pocky stood straight and started to rub under his jaw, looking off to the side.

Celmaru pinched the bridge of his nose with an annoyed sigh.
"Pocky....I asked you to punch me! I indirectly asked you to punch me!"
Watching Pocky pull out the revolutionary book by Son Gohan "Groundbreaking Science", Celmaru became intrigued by what it might maintain. He realized that Pocky was relying on the book to find out what he needed to know. Standing straight, Celmaru walked over to Pocky, placing his hand on his tiny shoulder.
"Pocky, you don't need a book to tell you how Ki works. I realize that it may have helped you comprehend its existence, but it might honestly be better for you to practice bringing it out from within you on your own. But trust me when I say that Ki is NOT MAGIC! Ki is the body's source of life energy, and its your choice to bring it out or not."
Celmaru's face was etched with an odd mix of warmth, anger, and a teacher-esqe demeanor all at once.
"I'll explain how I made my aura visible in a minute, don't worry. Also, if you're hungry, Phae should be back with some dino-meat soon, promise. In the meantime, let me show you Ki."
Lifting his hand from the fox's shoulder, Celmaru stepped back again, lifting his forearms to waist level. Celmaru's aura ignited once again, softly flickering around him.
"This is the manifestation of my Ki, rather my life energy. I brought this out from within me, as my Ki is great enough to bring forth such energy. Ki is dependent on the physical condition of the user, and if you were, say, a mere creature with a power measure of one, then you'd be too weak to create a physical form of Ki. That's what makes you special from the rest of this world...its not weird or magic, its a part of every being in the world....the universe even!"
Celmaru allowed his aura to fade, the soft light around him dissipating.
"Although, I didn't expect you to be able to manifest an aura. You can't even fly for Kami's sake! I did expect you, however, to be able to throw a punch! But considering that you barely can comprehend Ki itself, you're going to have to go through the basics....the very few beginner's basics.
Celmaru felt Pocky's power fluctuate as he tried to manifest an aura, but within a very fruitless effort.
"We'll eat first, then you can try making your aura appear. But throw a punch next time!"
As Celmaru snapped at Pocky for being unable to start a fight, Phae returned with a dead dinosaur on her back, its tail dragging along the ground. The body of the dinosaur was bloody and sliced apart in multiple areas, displaying what Phae did to it in full view.
"Celmaru, has he fought you yet?"
"No Phae, he didn't even throw a punch, or even try to land a kick...he just took out a book about Ki."
"Knowledge is Power, Celmaru."
"But the SSE doesn't care about knowledge, and neither does any Arcose."
Phae dropped the dead dino corpse onto the ground, cutting it up with her sharpened tendrils to slice it to bits. As she did so, Celmaru turned towards Pocky once again, still irritated.
"You know what," Celmaru began, holding up his hand, "When you said that 'big light ball', did you mean this?"
A average sized, yet bulbous ki sphere appeared in his hand, glowing brightly like a light-bulb.
"This is a sphere of Ki, the most basic form of life energy. Another manifestation of Ki, I might add. If you can only do this....then try it again. You can't do much without being able to do this. Once you do so, try throwing it at me....I'd like to see how far your energy can go from your body."
The orb of light disappeared, allowing Celmaru to fold his arms, awaiting an immediate effort from the fox.

At various points during Celmaru's explanation, the foxman's ears and tail had either curled backwards or twitched, his tail settling between his legs. Well, now after that conversation, he felt like a pure idiot. He glared at Celmaru as he listened, but it was more of a pouty glare than an angry one. Granted, he was glad this guy was taking time out of his life to teach him something worth while. The man was even level with him in some manner. He just couldn't accept that he hadn't the same knowledge as this guy and his seaweed wife.
"Awright, I get it! I'll throw a punch 'er somethin this time."
He said this, but his eyes were clearly squared on Phae and the yummy looking dead dino on her back. They were gonna cook it, and it was going to be delicious. He could just smell it now. And his imagination perked up his mood, visible through his tail and ears perking up again, tail even wagging a slight bit. Not as much as a dog mind you, and definitely more elegant than a mangy mutt.
When he saw Celmaru create the light ball, his attention shot back to his.... Well, one could say the human was the foxman's teacher. Despite Pocky's suspicion of them being at least close in age. He rubbed the scruff on his jawline as he watched. It was definitely the same thing he was able to do back when he first realized he had to go out and fulfill his dream. How long ago did he start this journey again? At least a little over a month. And he was still no closer to being a martial arts master.
"Hrmmm. Ki huh? Well, even I should be able t'manage tha do-hickey yeh got in yer hand. Done that before myself, yah know. I ain't no dung beetle know-nothin. Just give this fox a minute t' get it goin."
He closed his eyes, aiming his hands towards one another. For a little while nothing happened. Absolutely nothing. For nearly five minutes he wasn't doing anything but facing his hands towards one another. Then his ki shot up from steady and low to what would be considered high for him. The ki ball manifested and then got bigger and bigger and blew up in his face. With a yip and a screech, he threw himself to the ground. From there he quickly rolled to his knees, wide eyes and looking quite miffed. His tail twitched around, extra fluffy as he was pissed at himself.
"Now just you hang on t' yer drawers there. Lemme try that lil trick again. I almost had it, and I know I can get the hang of it if yeh give me a minute."

A fire had started behind them both, crackling softly as Celmaru watch Pocky blow up Ki in his face. Raising one eyebrow, Celmaru unfolded his arms, lowering the raised eyebrow as he spoke.
"You're too anxious. You need to calm down Pocky, or else its going to literally blow up in your face again. You let your power escalate to the point where it becomes too much for an unfocused mind to handle, and it escapes your body...and in your case explodes. Calm down, be completely calm, and try again."
Celmaru noticed the irritation Pocky felt, with it written clearly all over his face, snout included. Meanwhile, Phae was containing the fire she started, placing a few dino slices on a stake to cook. A giant pile of bones rested behind Phae, and blood was spattered all over the nearby trees. Celmaru attempted to continue teaching, albeit still rather haphazardly.
"You need to focus, concentrate on the Ki within you....usually the majority of it lies around your stomach or abdomen. Try imagining you taking a hold of it, and slowly bringing it out. Be sure to focus, concentration is key with all of this."
"Celmaru, the meat will be done in a little while."
"Alright Phae, thank you."
Phae nodded in response as Celmaru continued. He sat down on the ground with Pocky, crossing his legs. Celmaru closed his eyes as he held his hands near each other, concentrating whilst also demonstrating. Celmaru demonstrated slowly, to make sure Pocky was able to pick up what he was doing. Celmaru sat up straight, his back extended fully. Furrowing his brow, a tiny static burst crackled between his hands, and a tiny ball of energy appeared, fizzing into existence, then fading as soon as it came. Opening his eyes, Celmaru looked towards Pocky, hoping that he got something from that demonstration.
"Focus, focus, focus. That's the key to mastering your Ki. If you can't manifest your Ki from just concentration alone, then try listening to your body, listen to it, and try to find a pull....surely your will notice something within you that you can hold steady. If you can't pick up that much after this meal, then I'll have to use more...er...drastic measures."
A hint of nervous, yet evil glee hid behind Celmaru's eyes. The dino-meat began to waft throughout the air, giving off an enticing smell of freshly cooked meat. The smell invaded Celmaru's nostrils, making his own stomach growl in anticipation.
"Phae, is that meal finished yet?"
"...Come here, you two."
"Its done?"
"It is, ready for consumption."
"Perfect timing!"
Celmaru sprang up from his spot, dashing over to his wife, hungrier than an average Saiyan.
"Come on Pocky! Our meal is ready!"

Though some might think he wasn't listening, reading how his expressions looked as if he was annoyed, he really was listening. Upon hearing that he was too tense, and needed to relax, the foxman's tail dipped down and smoothed out. He straightened up, sitting like Celmaru himself was, and watched his teacher-peer show him the ropes. His eyes widen when he realized that before the orb was even formed, he could tell it was being centered in the guys hands, and where it was coming from. A smirk slid across his face, and he looked to Celmaru in curiosity. After the seaweed wife had announced the food was ready, Pocky just watched Celmaru walk over to get some food. And then as if on cue, his stomach begun growling fiercely.
He didn't protest, though honestly even though he was starving at this point, he wanted to keep on going with the lesson. But it wouldn't hurt, eating right now. It may do Pocky far better for him to eat right now, anyway. Judging on the fact the last time he remembered eating was about three days ago, this meal would be amazing. Before he could even sit down with Celmaru to eat, his mouth was over watered, to the point where he had to wipe some drool from his muzzle.
"Never had meself some dino meat before. Out on the farm, alls we had was dem chicken meat and eggs, and the occasional rabbit from Boxy's huntin escapades. By chance, whazzit necessary t'kill a beast o'this size though? I mean, can the three of us really eat all that meat? On account yer girl there is a bit uh... What them there yeh callen em?"
He pointed to Phae's seaweed, a bit confused on the prospect of it.

Celmaru was already sitting next to Phae, hastily grabbing a thick stack of dinosaur meat to consume. Sliding a large slice off the stake, Celmaru brought it up to his face, and began to tear through the meat as if it were nothing. Chunks of meat detached from its origin, being torn apart by Celmaru's jaw and teeth. He was shoving the dinosaur product into his mouth, happily eating it to feed himself. His eating habit clearly wasn't Human, and it was obvious to Phae, and possibly even Pocky. Celmaru swiftly finished off the first slice of dino-meat, moving on to the next. As he ate, Phae spoke to Pocky, lightly tearing off a piece of meat for herself.
"I'm something you wouldn't ever find on a farm, or wherever you come from, Pocky. I come from a world of spectral beings, something incomprehensible to normal Humans, or even those out in Outer Space. I am a Guardian Spirit for the Waterfield family, and I was given this form by a man named Ayumu."
Celmaru as still ripping through his meal like a savage, gulping down large amounts of dinosaur meat at once, one could almost hear sawblade-like noises emanating from him as he ate.
"....I'm much older than I look, too. But don't you dare overthink that, if you could."
Her normal expression was hiding an overwhelming murderous intent, that of which Celmaru ignored.
"I watched over Celmaru's ancestors, and his parents, his grandparents, etc. But don't worry about me, I'm simply Celmaru's lawfully wedded wife, and I must say I love every moment of it."
Celmaru's face flushed softly, becoming a slight shade of red. Despite shoving down as much dino-meat as before, he was still vulnerable to Phae's remarks. Phae picked up a small container of water, that of which she acquired earlier, dousing herself with the salt water that it held, rejuvenating her body. Phae's figure swelled slightly as she finished, consuming a tiny amount of meat along with her husband.
"Please, continue to eat. You seem rather hungry."

Phae's quick explanation of herself only left Pocky with more questions. He figured that they were too freshly in acquaintance to get much more of a flushed out story from them. Not that it mattered much, his curiosity about her was just in passing anyway. His attention drew to Celmaru a moment as he saw the meat being almost literally inhaled by the human. Well, he couldn't say this man was a human anymore, he hadn't seen a human eat anything this fast. The foxman's ears perked up when he heard the old man's name.
"You folks know the old man too? He's a real man, he is!" The way he spoke of Ayumu caused his face to scrunch a slight bit, and his tail wag lightly. "I woulda quit by now, weren't fer him. Still can't forget what he said t'me. Good man, he is."
His hand passed over the bracelet on his wrist as he thought about the way the man had inspired him. He owed it to the man and himself to push forward. Leaning forward, he grabbed a strip of meat and at it he went, chewing it to pieces. Granted, his appetite wasn't as ravenous as the Saiyan's-- which is the only other species human looking enough that Pocky could assume Celmaru was-- but he put away at least two of the steaks before he was full.
"Yeeeehoooo!! Now that's some mighty fine meat, that them there dino is! Whoda thunk it be that tasty! Best damn meat I ever did have now. Maybe if I ever go back home, I'll bring some this here meat t'my folks. Not anytime soon mind yeh, but maybe someday. By that time, yeh best be darn tootin Imma be the best Martial Artist on this 'ere planet!"
The foxman jumped up from his resting place, tail swishing back and forth, ears twitching lightly. He was pumped. He was ready for another go, that much was for sure. He straightened up, scratching his fur just below his eye as he walked away from the fire and away from his things set off to the side. He didn't want to ruin them after all. When he was at least about fifteen feet away, Pocky started to stretch.
"Hmmmmm.. Now whazzit yeh said about them ki and all that? Focus, focus, focus. Something in mah stomach. Yeah sorta. Awright!! I GOT IT!! I know what tah do! And I can do it, I know I can. Just give this fox a minute and you'll see!"
Maybe he needed to be reminded of what a minute was, because this little minute he promised only stretch on for an extra four before his Ki spiked up again. It didn't blow up in his face this time, for as soon as it spiked like he made it before, it fizzled out again. His ears drooped back and he stared at his hands, glaring at them.
"Now hold on a dang minute." He closed his eyes this time, the excitement left with his confidence, and he tried to summon the power again.
Another three minutes pass before, BAM! He didn't throw himself to the ground this time, but it sure did blow in his face again.
"WHAT IN TARNATION?! I HAD IT! YOU BOTH SAW IT! I did..."
Clearly frustrated, he turned towards Celmaru looking about ready to bite someone.
"How come it comes so easy to you? Whacha suppose t'be anyway? You ain't no human, least not one I ever did saw. Is it cause I'm Zoen? Are we not capable of this 'ki mastering' shtik?"
His ears dropped fiercely, and though he looked angry with his deep snarl plastered on his face, Pocky's body language said he was sad.

Celmaru stopped eating immediately after Pocky tried to summon his power again. Dropping the dinosaur meat in his hand, Celmaru stood up, pushing down in his other leg to bring himself upwards. Pocky seemed to have it down at first, but in the end, it was all the same as before. Closing his eyes to suppress his anger, Celmaru just couldn't restrain himself; he wasn't known for it.
"I'm not Human. I'm not fully Saiyan either, that's all I'm going to say to you with that attitude. And no, Zoanthropes can learn about the Mastery of their Ki...I know a canine that can fly as well as I can.....but the thing is YOU'RE NOT LISTENING! You can't keep calm, and you keep letting your power explode! You can't seem to get it, so I'm going to force you to get it! I gave you time, but now I'm not waiting whilst sitting on my hands!"
Celmaru turned towards Phae, an calm, yet fierce look in his eye.
"Where did you find this dinosaur?"
"Just over the nearby ravine, why?"
"I'm going to make a fox listen to his teacher."
Grabbing Pocky by his snout, Celmaru turned towards were Phae indicated. Taking a solid swing in that particular direction, Celmaru launched Pocky over the ravine into the dinos' homes. Flying after him, Celmaru floated over the wild dinos, watching the potential slaughter take place. He folded his arms again as he watched the poor, dense fox land in the nest, his fate unclear.
"If you want to live, learn quickly! If you continue like you did earlier, then you'll die...so have fun, fox!"
Celmaru was prepared to save his dense hide from danger, but he would wait until he was being torn to shreds. Celmaru's patience was thin, and it only became thinner after having to wait on Pocky and his stubborn inability to stop, listen, and learn. Phae appeared shortly after, wrapping her arms around her husband.
"If you love the dino-meat so much, then have a whole family of it to enjoy!"
"Celmaru, this isn't the best way to foster someone's growth."
"Someone like him needs to learn that the word won't wait on him to figure something out. Either he learns, or dies."

When the foxman’s muzzle was grabbed, he gave a yip. But that yip was nothing compared to the screeching sound he made as the half-Saiyan launched him from where they were right into the lion's den. Well, technically the T-rex nest, but semantics. His muzzle hurt like a bad scrape, and that was nothing compared to how his rump felt when he landed and skidded down the rest of the ravine to the flat bottom.
It didn’t hit him till he hit his back on the ground where he was. He may have been loudly screaming his head off on the way down, yet Pocky achieved a new octave as his eyes settled on some of those giant carnivorous lizards. And then their eyes set on him.
“No…. no… no no no… no no no no no! NOOOOOOOO!!”
The young foxman leaped from his back and began running his little hiney off trying to escape the giant tyrants nipping at his heels.
“DEGNABIT CELMARA!! THIS TRAINING OF YERS IS ABOUT AS USEFUL AS A TRAP DOOR ON A CANOE!!”
His ears perked up when he noticed something off to his right, and he perked up good for it. Dashing to the right and narrowly avoiding the giant bumbling lizard, the foxman got to climbing in between a little crack in the walls. It was barely big enough to fit him, were he any bigger he wouldn’t be fitting here at all.
“How in tarnations am I supposed tah learn anythin this way? One fry short of a Happy Meal, that’s what he is.”
His tail was dangerously close to the entrance, but there was no real way he could curl it and keep it from getting grabbed. This worry kept his mind sour as he tried to figure out a way not to get killed. One of those bumbling beasties smashed it’s head into the rock facing, causing the fox to yip at it. Some dust crumbled into his head, and he shook it off.
“If his brains were dynamite, he couldn’t blow his nose.” He mumbled and whined as the giant smashed it’s head against the rock facing once more, causing more than a few small rocks and pebbles to drop onto the foxman's head.
He couldn’t stay here, it seemed. If those testosterone pumped bumble brain lizards had any say in the matter at least. And by the looks of it, they have plenty to say as the rock facing shook again under the weight of another smack. Pocky looked up as the cracks in the stone dropped a few more pebbles and rocks on his head. Maybe he could climb up in there and just settle there until this whole thing blew over, and those prehistoric fart knockers left.
Climbing into that small little crevice seemed to be too much for the foxman, he was just too big for it. In a stroke of bad luck, he felt his tail get snagged, and he yipped so loudly he rang his own ears to dizziness. And that’s when he felt the yank. Screaming like a little girl, he was yanked out by giant teeth, and sniffed by another set of giant teeth. Then those giant teeth wanted to say hi. With a wide, open mouth.
“BACK YER TRUCK UP YEH YELLA BELLY BOBBLE HEAD FREAKAZOIDS!!”
Pocky raised his hands up in anticipation of those teeth chomping down on his torso, and in his panicked stupor, he almost didn’t see how he blasted a ki ball right up into that lizards wide open mouth. It screeched in agony as anyone close enough could smell burned skin.
The one that held him by his tail swung him around, throwing him up in the air. While twirling in the air he looked up, which was actually down, to see the dinosaurs large mouth open wide enough to swallow him whole. In a panic, he tried to muster that ki ball again to shove it at the monster. Each time it sparked but went out again.
“Come on.” Fifteen feet, fizzle in. “Come on!” Ten feet, fizzle out. “COME ON!” Five feet, fizzle in. Him; coming at full speed at the T-rex’ throat! “DEGNABIT!!”
Just as he landed in the giant lizard's mouth, he blasted the ki ball right at the back of the things mouth. It choked and spit him out real fast. On the ground, he wasted no time rolling to his feet and high tailing it out of there. Literally. His tail was sticking up like a flag mast.
“YEH KISS YAH MOMMA WITH THAT MOUTH?!”
He screamed back at it, and tried to find another place in the ravine to hide.

Floating a few hundred feet above Pocky, Celmaru held his arms across his chest, folded tightly. Phae pointed out Celmaru's rash decision to throw the poor fox, going against his idea of training.
"Celmaru, you're going to send that poor fox to his demise..."
"Just watch Phae, if he can't bring out anything in a desperate situation, then he'll die. He's Human enough, and most Humans bring out immense power in extreme scenarios."
"He's a sheltered and clueless boy, Celmaru."
"Hmph. If he wants to master the Ki within his body, he's going to need to change into something completely different from that."
"You method of teaching is unorthodox and crude."
"Do you have a problem with that?"
".....Why don't you act like this with me?"
"What?! Phae, I can't simply hurt you, or scold you without a reason!...Or can I harm you...at least not on purpose..."
Phae had a pouting look on her facial expression, making Celmaru feel guilty, yet flustered. Looking away from Phae, his face becoming slightly red, Celmaru continued to watch the near-helpless fox. Celmaru truly beheld a sorry sight. Pocky was cowering in a crack within the wall of the ravine, the surface being bombarded by the dinosaurs. Celmaru sighed as he watched, starting to wonder if this country bumpkin can actually learn about Ki. Then he heard Pocky speak about him....and how his mind was a bit screwy.
"I HEARD THAT, FOX!"
Phae jumped a little at Celmaru's sudden remark, concerning her further about Pocky's safety.
"Celmaru, are you sure this will work?"
"Well, if it doesn't, he'll die. So we'll see soon, now won't we?"
Celmaru's face was dead serious, still looking directly as Pocky, as if he could see him through the dinos and the rocky wall of the ravine. Pocky's ki was fluctuating rapidly, shifting around in a nervous craze. His arms still crossed at his chest, Celmaru simply waited for Pocky to be a man....fox.....fox-man. Pocky started to leave the tiny crevice after the dinos started to leave, but his tail got snagged. Celmaru could only slap his face with his palm as Pocky yelped loudly, making Celmaru's ears ring.
"This fox.....he's going to be a challenge. Phae, you might be right about his safety....the dinos are coming back."
"....."
Audible screams from Pocky were hear all around him, echoing throughout the mountain range. Celmaru's own power surged slightly, but not from a lack of control, rather from an overwhelming amount of irritation towards the dense fox. The fox in question, however, was being held up by his tail, facing the giant maw of a T-Rex.
"....."
"....."
Celmaru, moments later, sensed a tiny amount of Ki being shot from Pocky.
"There you go, you damn fox."
Pocky shot a ki blast directly into the dino's maw, tearing it apart from the inside. But then Pocky was throw upwards by the other dinosaur, making his fate unclear once again. Celmaru simply watched as Pocky struggled to muster more Ki.
"Focus...."
15 feet.
"Concentrate..."
10 feet.
"Listen to your body, Pocky...."
5 feet.
"Celmaru, he's going to be-!"
Pocky finally shot another Ki blast into the opposing dino, killing it from within just like the first. Watching the bumpkin fox sprinting away with all his might, his tail sticking up proudly, Celmaru could only smirk at his ability to react under pressure.
"Hey Pocky! Do you realize what you just did? You used your Ki, successfully at that!"
"Celmaru, there are more dinosaurs coming his way..."
"Eh, there's only a few more left....they're just a bit angry about him killing their family members."
"You're going to kill that poor fox at some point."
"He needs to learn that the world isn't going to wait and let him learn to defend himself, Phae. He needs to learn himself, as well. I can't teach him everything. Either way, everyone's Potential is revealed when they're exposed to an extremely dangerous situation, causing adrenaline to be produced, reducing pain, stress, and allowing that person to attempt amazing feats...such as Ki Mastery."
Celmaru awaited more feats from Pocky, as he slowly began to descend to the bottom of the ravine, albeit still above the dinoaurs below them both. Celmaru began to expect more from Pocky, now confirming his ability to use Ki outside his body.

Hiding just inside a crack in the ground, Pocky's ear twitched when he heard Celmaru jibe at him. Was that a compliment he just received? Honestly he couldn't tell, but he hoped so. The dino's hadn't noticed him yet, but they were smelling around for him. As the calm settled in, the foxman felt pride swell up in his chest. Chewing on his thumb with his back molars, he laughed at himself. He did it, he actually did it. Twice. In succession! Biting down on his thumb wasn't helping quell the excitement in him. Stretching his arms out, he wanted to fist pump the air, but his arm touched the rock his back was resting against. Pain shot up his arm.
"Agh!?" He looked at his arm confused, noticing it was scratched deeply. He tried to think of where he got the scratch from, and then remembered the teeth of the last T-rex. Maybe that's where he received the scratch. "Gotta be..."
He felt a puff of hot air on his head, causing him to look up. Another screech escaped him as he saw an open maw of another T-rex, and it was sniffing him. Shivers went down his spine despite the heat from the beasts breath. Throwing his hand out in front of him, the foxman concentrated on where the ki was in his body and tried to manifest it in his hand. It took some effort, but not nearly as much effort as he had been previously using with no effect. This time, he knew where to draw it from and so he did, thrusting it forward. To his chagrin, he didn't get this one inside the mouth like the other two. Instead it hit the monsters nose, and it reeled back as the air filled with the smell of blood and singed skin, then the monster fell to the ground.
While the last one was distracted, he leaped out of his hiding spot and ran for it once more. He caught whiff of the psycho and his seaweed wife, and took a moment to look around. There they were above him. A small growl formed in his throat. Sure, Celmaru's tactic worked, but it sure wasn't called for. At least Pocky didn't think so. He saw the last one finally coming for him, and this time he was ready.
Turning, he raced to the wall, and leaped up the wall a couple of meters before it reached him. Unfortunately, though freedom could be just a jump away, he didn't think he'd make the jump. So instead of trying and failing, and from there possibly falling into the things mouth and being eaten for real this time. He turned around, just in time for it to ram the spot he was in. With a yip and a screech, he jumped and ended up on the things head. Before he was able to do anything, he slid off it's face and onto the ground.
"Degnabit. Can't we just be done with these shenanigans already?"
Jumping up from his spot on the ground, he ran away from it a little bit, and then turned halfway towards it. One hand was off to the side, and he was concentrating on creating an orb in his palm without looking. It turned to him and the stupid thing reached down with its mouth wide open. It roared at him and started to charge him.
"Ah, shyaddup! I've had it up t' here with the lot of ya!"
He felt the ki rise and pass into his hand, then he threw it forward, shooting the ki ball in it's mouth. It died like the rest, but it's momentum carried it closer to the foxman then he would have liked. Attempting to move out of the way had him falling into his previous hiding place, rough on the way in. Then the place went dark. He looked up when he started to feel warm liquid roll down part of his face, only to find that he was stuck momentarily with the beasts body right above him.
"Well, I'll be..." Adjusting himself he tried to move it. Alright, so his physical strength wasn't up to par with his ki output, but that can be remedied. "Looks like I gotta blast myself out."
On the surface, it would seem real quiet with no action indicating Pocky's whereabouts. Then the creatures neck would glow, exploding gore and blood all over the place, and then Pocky would emerge from the hole made, leaping a ways away. His red fur was made even more red with the blood covering him. He quickly took off his sash and his cherry blossom hip armor and begun to fret over the pretty fur armor of his.
"No! Please don't stain, please don't stain!"

Celmaru could only continue to watch as Pocky finally was able to manifest his energy, this time with greater response time. He and Phae were still floating above the dinosaurs, and he didn't intend to land until they all were finished off in some way by Pocky himself. Although Pocky had a clear lack in combat experience, and his fear affected his ability to use his own Ki, Celmaru knew that his failures would only disappear from here.
"Finally, some improvement."
As Pocky fought the other dinosaurs, Celmaru and Phae began to bicker with each other.
"Celmaru, Pocky could still be eaten by these things."
"He's got enough instinct to prevent that from happening."
"And if his instinct doesn't save him?"
"I'll save his sorry ass then."
"You're being rather rude today, Celmaru."
"I'm being a teacher."
"You're acting like your Father."
"....Your point?"
"He isn't the best teacher, you know."
Pocky had blasted himself out of a dinosaur, spilling blood and gore all over the immediate vicinity. Celmaru continued to descend as the fox fretted over his clothes, hoping it wouldn't stain. Touching down upon the dusty ground, Celmaru unfolded his arms, walking up to Pocky.
"We'll continue this later, Phae."
Looking down at the small fox, Celmaru flashed a small smirk at him.
"Now Pocky, do you realize that you had nothing to worry about? Your power measures up to eight thousand....most of the prehistoric monsters out here are only at about a few hundred, just maybe by chance, roughly around one thousand. You were fine. But despite that, you finally learned how to manifest your Ki, and it was rather effective at one of its jobs. Now that you can create Ki blasts, we can get to the more advanced stuff!"
Phae, still wrapping her arms around his neck protectively, gave an apologetic look towards Pocky.
"Well, it seems you also brutally murdered a small family of dinosaurs.....good job, now we have dinner."
Celmaru picked up a small ki source; another dino.
"Oh, nevermind....you missed one!"
The dino, much smaller than the others, was charging towards Pocky in a blind fit of rage. It was slobbering and was roaring like it just hurt itself. Sighing, Celmaru held up his hand, letting his fingers curl to the sky. His hand sparked, cracking with small strands of electricity. Eventually, a large sphere of ki appeared, red ki outlined with white. With the sphere floating mere inches above Celmaru's hand, he shifted the orb to face the tiny reptilian. Stiffly pushing his hand forward, he muttered a short phrase.
"Great Blast Crash..."
The orb of red and white ki was launched, flying towards the dinosaur at a rapid velocity. It made a solid impact, exploding with great force, and obliterating the dino's body. A hint of regret hid behind Celmaru's pupils as he lowered his hand, looking back towards Pocky.
"There we go, now where was I? Ah, that's right...good job."
Phae poked Celmaru's chest, silently telling him to apologize with her dark green eyes. Giving Phae a 'why must I?' look, she only responded silently, giving him another smack to the chest. Sighing, Celmaru tried to apologize.
"Hmph.......Sorry for throwing you in here. But you really weren't listening...at all, I-"
Phae hit Celmaru in the head this time.
"Gah!.....You were a bit anxious, and were becoming frustrated over something that could've been simpler if you listened. So again, I apologize for throwing you in here."
"Pocky, there's a river nearby, you can deal with your bloody clothes there."
Placing her own Ki beneath her, Phae lazily floated over towards the end of the ravine, near the river. Celmaru could only follow suit, hoping to relax a tiny bit. Placing his hands behind his cranium, resting it upon them, Celmaru followed Phae towards the river.
"Come on Pocky, you seem concerned about your clothes. But you're not getting off the hook completely after this....I'm going to make you fight me again."
Celmaru looked back briefly, shouting, before looking back towards Phae again.
"AND YOU BETTER THROW A DAMN PUNCH THIS TIME!....Or at least something...."

He heard the tail end of Phae and Celmaru's conversation just before he was brought into it. "We'll continue this later, Phae."
Upon hearing Celmaru's voice, Pocky nearly had half the mind to turn around and bite the guy for throwing him into the ravine the way he did. But he restrained himself, even tried to keep from looking at Celmaru at this point. Well, he tried. When his power level was mentioned, he quirked a brow. When the beasts power level was mentioned, he looked at Celmaru with deep concern. When Celmaru jested about killing a small family of dinosaurs as if it were a game, Pocky's jaw dropped. He didn't like the notion, no, not one bit. Even a strong twinge of guilt started to build up in the foxman when he realized what he had done. Looking around, one hand raised and slid through the large tuft of fur on the top his head that resembled a faux hawk hair-do. He yanked at it, beginning to look distraught.
"But... those... they were... I's only..."
He looked towards Celmaru for a moment before the last one came out of no where. The foxman almost jumped out of his skin, then Celmaru killed it, and his shoulders slumped. He looked at the hybrid and thought he saw something that looked like guilt in the mans eyes. Though he was being praised for finally doing a ki blast the correct way, he couldn't help but feel guilty at the thought of killing an entire family, creature or not.
His eyes glanced towards Phae, and then back to Celmaru. It was great that the guy apologized, but he also felt it was forced. Like Phae was making him apologize where if she weren't here, he may not have. But he bit his tongue on mentioning his thoughts on the subject. He followed them towards the river with his waist cloth and sash. He didn't say much until he was walking next to Celmaru.
"Yer... don't have to apologize... Nah... it's awright really. You, er... Well it did work, so I'll give yah that." Rubbing his ear, he dug in it a bit as he tried to get some guts out of his ear.
"Sure, yeh didn't need tah go that far as throwin me in a pit of death... but I do tend t'get in my own way. Now if yah promise not t'be throwin anywhere else, I promise t' listen more. We don't need a repeat of this shindig."

As they walked down the ravine towards the river, Celmaru hear Pocky stumbling over his words, putting his guilt at full display.
".....You know, I'm not simply being mean to you because I feel like it."
Still holding his hands behind his head, Celmaru awaited a reaction from Pocky, if any, before continuing.
"My Father taught me the same way, when I was young. He threatened my life in the same way, as well....he sent me to the mountains when I was six, he made me fight someone roughly twenty one times my strength when I was five, he threw at dinosaurs when I was ten, he shoved me into a cave with no food when I was about....twelve?...He even let me leave the planet when I was sixteen!"
His eyes became solemn, remembering his Father, likely still in space somewhere.
"He taught me about Ki in a more....Saiyan way. He beat it into me, but not really in an abusive way. He made me practice it until I could bring forth my power at will at any time....and if I couldn't, he'd show me, then throw it at me. He couldn't help it, and I knew why....he was just a Saiyan, it was in his blood, not one person could really change his blunt and physical form of training."
Phae turned around, still lazily floating towards the river, whilst looking at Celmaru.
"Being only fifty percent Saiyan myself, I could only really follow at a certain pace....failing only a few times before actually getting it right. I honestly think I'm a bit more lenient with you than my Father was with me."
"He also shoved you into a Gravity Chamber often, even as a small child."
"Yes, he did. I was only about four years old when I went into my first Gravity Chamber. He only set it to two times Earth's gravity, but I still had trouble even standing."
"He didn't let you leave until you could stand."
"I remember. I was in there for six hours, slowly being crushed under added weight, before my Mother finally opened the chamber and let me out....heh.....that's odd, Phae and I are sort of acting the same. She made me apologize, and made me intervene before anything else showed up. Meanwhile, without her I would've left you there to leave this ravine yourself."
"This is your first time teaching someone. But really, that's no excuse to endanger this little fox's life."
"I realize that, and I'm starting to think I'm being sort of a hardass on you, Pocky....I'm sorry for that."
Celmaru looked towards Pocky as he said that, making sure that he faced him properly. After truthfully apologizing, he continued.
"Sometimes, he made me fight him, but only if I used ki blasts....and I was only about five at the time. I couldn't touch him because I could barely even bring forth a blast to hit him. Having a Saiyan for a Father isn't won't ever be the best time you'll ever have, trust me. I kind of made a prime example of growing up with that by acting like I did..."
Lowering his hands, placing them in his pockets, Celmaru, Phae, and Pocky reached the riverside.
"I admit, I sort of tried to release pent up stress on you when I was teaching you earlier....in a rather passive-aggressive way...so again, I apologize. Anyway, here we are, go ahead and wash up...I'll be over here."
Celmaru walked over to a nearby ledge, leaning against it. While Pocky would be preoccupied with his clothes (surely), Phae floated over towards Celmaru.
"You didn't have to say all of that."
"I know....but considering that I made him commit murder, basically, I kind of believe I should act a little bit more Human around him."
"That 'murder' was a result of the food chain doing its natural job, Celmaru."
"A fox can't normally kill multiple dinosaurs, Phae."
"He had a much greater advantage over them, and was therefore higher up on the chain."
"....."
Celmaru simply stared at Phae, realizing that they acted like opposites to each other depending on what had recently occurred. But then, Phae formed a small smile on her face.
"Well, thank you for truly apologizing to him, I appreciate it Celmaru."
"....Er...Sure..."
Phae wrapped her arms around her husband in a simple embrace, happy to see her husband acting normally again; like an embarrassed teenager. Celmaru didn't expect this, making his ears and face become overcome with a significant hue of red.
"P-Phae, you don't have to-"
"Let me have this at least today, Celmaru."
"What if Pocky-"
"Shh...."
Celmaru stopped uttering words as he gave up, completing the embrace with Phae. Over her shoulder, he periodically made sure if Pocky was watching or not, hoping to save himself from embarrassment. More crashing sounds echoed around them, making more dino's become known to them. The river made slight splishing and splashing noises as it ran along its course, softly running through a giant patch of grasslands near the mountains.
