Heavy Weights On. Power Level:23109/69327 with Bio-Metabolize *
*Inside Z-Fighter Gravity Chamber: X10 Gravity*
The Pendulum Room was rather disorienting. Clocks covered every surface, and above a circle in the center swung a giant pendulum, slowly flickering back and forth in a dull, eldritch droning. Walker moved forward, looking about. He had been allowed to train here by Bing, and intended to make good use of the place. A room that simulated time travel... Most impressive. Cracking his neck, he approached the circle. There had been a few ideas for where he might begin his training. He could relocate to the planet of the Saiyans, as had apparently been done before, and fight one of them in ancient times. He could travel to the battle with the Red Eclipse.
Admittedly, the prospect of going back and slaughtering Komoto was appealing. The scum had caused so much pain... but no. He was dead, there was no point in dwelling in personal issues that had been resolved, even if he had not resolved them. The rest of Red Eclipse was not on his current list of priorities. Instead, there was something else occupying his mind. Red... yes, Red was still relevant.
While he had slept, Vi-Poi had gone rogue. ReAligner Red.... The name had sent shivers down his back just by hearing it. "You were the one who missed the fight. Even if you could have done nothing to stop him... It is your duty to see what you failed to resist due to your absence." Walker's self-admonishment echoed through the Pendulum Room, the massive chronal-themed training locale a quiet sepulchure, save for himself.
Stepping into the circle, he exhaled for a moment, then concentrated. With a flash of light, he was gone, and then... Space. Down below was some green planet, perhaps the Namek that Namekians had come from? Supposedly that had been destroyed by Vipoi's corrupted form, according to the others. They had even wished on the Dragon Balls. A truly fascinating thing to think about, honestly. 7 Balls, and you could make a wish? He would have to look into that. Also, odd as it was, he could breath here, it seemed? Perhaps because he was not really here, but in a mystic simulation from the Pendulum Room. Although why... And then his entire world was frozen in fear as he saw the creature Vi-Poi had become. The Red Hair and sheer insanity was... frightening. Vi-Poi usually looked quite composed, from what the Tree recalled. This was.... The initial moment ended, and Walker shifted slightly. The movement, however slight, apparently caught the terror's eye, and his head snapped to the side for a moment.
The arm came up before Walker could react, before he could even perceive what movements made up the attack. Energy came. The attack name couldn't be heard, and it wasn't important anyway. It really didn't matter, did it. The threat Red had posed, and he would have just been another corpse in the pile the way he was now. As he lay on the floor, just outside the large circle in the center of the room, he could feel a strange, clawing feeling. It was.... was this true fear? He had felt nervousness before, certainly. Even severe worry. But this was nothing compared to that. The sheer, primal agony of this feeling...
Slowly standing, the tree was a little surprised to find his legs shaking. It was.... just a flick. A moment and he was dead, nothing gained but a feeling as though his lower torso was roiling. His bark shifted and shuddered, the metal armor clinking slightly despite his standing still. It took several minutes for it to subside, and by the end, Walker was honestly disgusted with himself. What was he afraid of? There was the possibility of being wished back with the Dragon Balls, and he had also heard from many, many sources that the Afterlife was a well-known place. Supposedly, ancient heros had trained there, and Scargot once mentioned that Kami could travel there, despite not being dead.
With all that in mind... Why was he being so damn fearful? He hadn't even really died this time. Shaking his head, he cracked his neck slowly. Well.... That hadn't been much in the way of training, anyway. However, there was another option, wasn't there? If he recalled correctly, the Saiyans had decided that the Earth should have been part of the Solar Empire not long ago.... Standing up, Walker stretched, and moved forward to the circle once more. Even if he was going to die again... even if he would be facing Oozaru, beasts that were 10 fold as strong as the average Saiyan... He would have to fight regardless. Fight and Die, fight and die, over and over...
He would continue to die in here, until he could overcome that damned piteous wailing in his heart, and charge toward his own possible death without a twitch of fear. Placing his fists together, he bowed once, then drew his blade. Stepping into the portal, he paused, and then focused on the idea of the outskirts of the Saiyan Attacks. There was another bolt of energy, and his mind was thrown through time and space to a facsimile of the attack on the North Capitol.
It took him a moment to determine where he was. Far, far in the distance, he could see a massive golden Oozaru and the shapes of various defenders of the planet flitting around it. Around him were numerous aliens, all wearing Saiyan-style armor, and finally, a number of Oozaru, laughing as they battled the outmatched armed forces below. If the battle in the distance was a raging fire, this was at best a minor campfire. Letting his senses probe them, he felt a strength that was not far from his own. In a single battle, each Oozaru might be a passable opponent. Here, he was surrounded.
It didn't take long for the beasts to notice him, and when they did, one roared a challenge, flying upwards toward the Tree with a glowing orb in their hand, intent upon smashing the giant Ki attack into the strange figure in non-SSE colors. However, while the beast was strong, it was also quite a bit larger. Dropping downward suddenly, he spun up in a rapid surge of Ki, bringing his blade out, and slashing hard at the creature's stomach, as his voice grated out "CHLOROPHYLL CHOPPER!" The Saiyan made a choking noise, and moved backwards, holding the large cut, and it's eyes narrowed. Down below, a soldier, curious, tapped a scouter's button, just as Walker slammed his fists together, purple eyes blazing.
A storm of Ki crackled around him as the Bio-Android pushed forth the hidden energy within. It would be much easier to just remove the weights he carried, but... No. Eventually, the weights would stop being beneficial, and he would discard them. Better to continue to train under them now. Bio-Metabolize activated, he swept forward, and delivered a heavy kick to the approaching Saiyan, not quite managing to dodge the retaliatory slap it sent after him in return. The blow sent him flying back, tumbling a bit until it was possible to regain balance. Pushing off the air with his Ki, the fighter charged after Walker, hand moving up to send a bolt of Ki at the apparently wide-open opponent.
This proved to be unwise when Walker's head snapped forward, mouth glowing, and his flight stopped quite abruptly, reversing direction as his mouth cracked open. "BUZZSAW YGGDRASIL!" The Oozaru, to it's credit, managed to slow down and half turn, but there was only a fraction of a moment, and it wasn't quite enough. The giant, tree-like beam erupted from his maw, "Branches" splitting in different directions, piercing the Oozaru's flesh like a mess of thorns and spikes. The main trunk impacted the previous cut made in the chest, and the Saiyan screamed, hand flying to the newly torn wound. Gritting his teeth, he flew forward, blade out, and slammed it into the beast's neck, edge glowing with green Ki. By the time the other enemies who had been alerted by the scream could react, the creature was out of the fight, if not dead. If he had been a fleshy biological creature, he would have been panting heavily.
The other soldiers growled, and an Oozaru and a small squad of soldiers headed to his position, their battle against a squad of KAOS members quickly taken over by a pair of Oozaru in similar looking armor. As Walker prepared for the attack, there was a sudden "BAM" and something hit him in the back, a hot, burning sensation ripping through him. It hurt, a lot, and worse yet the momentary distraction allowed the soldiers of the SSE to reach attack distance. Hand raised, Walker attempted to fend off the others, but it was the work of a mere moment for them to gang up on him. Within seconds, he was back in the Pendulum room, feeling the sting of death.
Right, so, good lesson there. On the battlefield, it was stupid to not be looking out for a ki ball in your back while you were focusing on someone else. He'd have to work on that. Don't stop moving, that was probably a good idea. Picking up his wooden form, he grasped the handle of his blade, looking at it for a moment. Hmm... Hadn't he heard something about going for the Tail before? Perhaps during the fight with Hyouza... Yes, hadn't someone tried to cut his tail off? Maybe Cipher...
Either way, it was worth a shot. The flash, the battlefield.... This time, there was no hesitation. Diving down into the chaos, Walker quickly activated Bio-Metabolize again, eyes hardening. A hunter. Yes, he could be a hunter.... Bringing his blade around, the tree slammed into the back of a half-turned Oozaru, grabbing the base of the tail and spinning, the blade blazing with ki as he used Chlorophyll Chopper once more. The blade bit into the tail, not quite cutting it off, and it took another slash to slice it completely off. The Oozaru shuddered, swiping at Walker as he got out of the way, and watched as the form began to shrink, leaving a normal-looking Saiyan on the ground. As he shrunk, his Power Level decreased, putting him from somewhat stronger than Walker to a fraction.
His face impassive, Walker slammed his blade down into the Saiyan, sending him to the ground with a gargling scream. A massive furry hand slammed down next to him, and he was back into the fight. This time, he turned constantly. Rather than staying skybound, he wove in and out of existing pockets of fighting, putting his energies to work where he found a space. Smashing a blow aside, driving a Ki blast into a distracted fighter, even at one point pinning an Oozaru's leg so a BBA soldier group could blow his face up with a heavy cannon. Body straining, he kept at it, trying to help as best he could. The battle ended too soon, the enemy routed, so he merely began the simulation anew, selecting a new area for each fight.
It didn't take long for the fighting to begin to blur together, even the sharp, quick flashes of the deaths that would occasionally occur. A Saiyan Elite, going after him. A lucky shot, knocking him into a pack of enemies that quickly tore him apart. Even one time where an Oozaru had suddenly grabbed him and bitten him in half, although that was quite far along. His wooden form hurt, and things were aching in new and exciting ways when finally, the pendulum flicking back and forth over his head, Walker sighed and moved out of the room. Heading back to the surface of the Lookout, his eye flitted around, taking in the sites. He had been in there for... Hmm. Pausing, he turned and headed for the kitchen. There, on the wall, was a new clock, slowly ticking away, with a small dial for the day, month and year. Peering at it, Walker nodded. 8 hours, same day. That was fine, yes. Turning, he began to leave the kitchen, then paused and glanced at the clock again, just to be sure. It was an odd feeling, losing a year.
