Vol. 1 - Chapter 5
Home! From the Radditsu District to the Wastelands!
[ Thread PL: 3,951 ]Home! From the Radditsu District to the Wastelands!
It didn’t take long for a few soldiers to catch up with Kizuki as he soared across the sky, flying towards the Radditsu District. “OI! OOOOOIII!” One of them began to bellow, which forced the previously frozen Saiyajin to turn his head back towards them, the wind whipping those thick spikes and two large bangs about. He figured he’d have a tag along or two. Turning down his ki, he’d slow down to the point of stopping, as three Saiyajin Soldiers did the same, one of them was a bit on the pudgy side and clearly fatigued. The other two looked like your standard male. “Something wrong, Soldiers?” His eyes never left the fat one, out of shape and huffing, Kizuki’s eyes ever so accusing, as if he was telling the other man he was pathetic with just a look. “Ah.. Ah.. Kussooooo, he’s fast.” Not that fast, but the out of shape Saiyajin continued to mutter under his breath as one of the other two spoke up. “We will be escorting you into the main Public Hall. We were just informed to have all visitors register there during their stay on the planet. It’ll take but a few moments. We’re on high alert at the moment, as you can tell.” He’d simply nod, understanding the situation at hand and what war does to planet. He still knew little of what was going on, but it was all in the life of a species such as this. They spent their entire lives warring, fighting, and planet conquering whether for themselves or some other powerful overload. Hell, even for someone who had enough to give back. Without much to say after, Kizuki would fly at a casual pace, surrounded by the three as they traveled into the Radditsu District.
It didn’t appear to be much, if anything at all. Everything seemed dark and poorly maintained. It was filled with a lower class of Saiyajin and other beings alike. They stared at the quartet, Kizuki and the three soldiers. It appeared maybe the thought he was one of them, dressed as he was. Though, Kizuki’s armor looked a bit outdated compared to their own shiny, brand new battle armors, gloves and boots. Kizuki didn’t particularly think he would be staying here much longer than just registering. The sights and smells were not his taste. “Is there where you’re sending all non-military personnel? In this.. area?” He didn’t want to horribly offend them. “Shithole is more like it.” The fat one grunted. Kizuki could tell that one was a poet with words right from the start. “For now.. at least until we get clearance to start sending people back towards the capital. Whenever that is.” One of the other two replied. “And where would one go if they didn’t want to stay here?” Kizuki followed up with that question, as the portly soldier once again spoke up, this time, with a laugh. “I suppose you can try the wastelands. Good luck. Nothing but Saibamen and other beasts out there. Not much to look at.” It already sounded better than this place Kizuki thought to himself.
Eventually, they would guide the Saiyajin outsider into the main Public Hall. The hall itself was massive, with crowds up people filed in, either complaining or looking for some sort of handout. Seems like this part of the planet was where the low class stayed, and where they were “looked over.” Kizuki would end up in front of a large desk, a humanoid sat on the other side of it, looking quite annoyed no doubt after such a hard day’s work. They did not appear to be Saiyajin, as their skin was a blue-ish color, their hair a bright red. “State your purpose for your visit, please.” They would say in quite the rude tone. Kizuki would arch a brow slightly, before answering. “Visiting. My pod was badly damaged, as I, myself, was badly hurt after my last.. excursion.” Kizuki would clear his through, was it really an excursion? He was frozen for over 2,000 years and was a fugitive of some other planet he had just escaped from. But this clerk and THIS planet did not need to know the details. “I came here to seek refuge before I go back out on my way. My records show this is a Saiyajin home world thus I assumed it was my safest refuge. I am not from this Galaxy. I was born elsewhere, in another Empire. A product of my race’s thirst for planet conquest.” The desk worker would huff, rolling his eyes. “Sure. I get it. Though, if you’re on the run from anyone I’m sure the Galactic Patrol will take care of it.” His brow arched higher. Galactic Patrol? He had heard of them, but never seen them personally. He never had a need for them, as Saiyajin were as all the warrior they needed. “And, if you couldn’t tell..” the blue skinned man would wave his arm around to motion throughout the building. “..This invasion with Earth is really keeping us busy. We don’t have time to deal with fugitives. So, tread carefully. Look here.” He would point to a spherical robot, with one red “eye” on it. The machine floated over to Kizuki, scanning him completely. “And welcome to Planet Vegeta….?” The Saiyajin would once again clear his throat. “Kizuki.” “Right, Kizuki. You’re now registered as a visitor. Be on the lookout for any announcements as to when we are allowed people to leave the planet. Or you could go purchase yourself a scouter and find out that way. Either way, stay out of trouble. NEXT!” Kizuki couldn’t have gotten out of there any quicker. Shuffling out of the line, he’d make a beeline for the exit of the building where his escort service of the three soldiers awaited him. The soldiers would do a test scan, confirming that he was indeed registered as a visitor of the planet. Before they left, he had inquired about the wastelands the fat one had sarcastically suggested earlier and before long, he was headed in that direction.
The wastelands were in pretty poor shape, though he expected this. It was still a better alternative than being subjected to the overcrowded district he was just in. Also, not being able to leave the planet because of this invasion with.. Earth, was it? He could not say he had ever heard of the damned planet, but they must have done something to warrant an invasion. Perhaps the Arcosians were still in the business of planet trading? Or had the Saiyajin of this era gotten to be a more confident in themselves and had gone into planet trading on their own? Or was this Earth a planet that posed a threat to this Empire? He would stop his questions once he approached the side of a large mountain. Floating up a bit, he’d aim his right, gloved palm at the face of it and fired a beam of bright, blue ki directly at it. In a loud explosion of smoke and rubble, quite the hole was created. Slipping in, Kizuki would do a bit more rearranging, firing off blasts of his ki energy to get the hole to be deeper. The hole itself was higher enough on the mountain where only something else that could fly would be able to reach him. At least he didn’t have to worry about anything that couldn’t fly. Emerging from the hole, Kizuki would land on his booted feet and proceed to find something to make fire with. After that would come something to eat. Anything would be sufficient. On his trek, Kizuki could feel something looking over his head from behind, the feeling of fast approaching wind was tickling the back of his neck. Without much though, the Saiyajin would throw his body to the side as quickly as possible, as a large, black reptilian tail smashed into the dead earth of the wasteland. Landing in a crouch, Kizuki would turn to see his assailant. It happened to be quite the beast. Large, mean, some sort of snake-like creature, larger than most he had ever seen at nearly 10 feet. How opportunistic. This barren wasteland had brought food right to him, both the snake and Kizuki thought. As the large, fanged mouth of the beast came forward to strike the Saiyajin, Kizuki would move his body each time, able to stay away from those snapping jaws much to the discontent of his new reptilian friend. It was just too big, and Kizuki was just too fast in comparison. “Ah’. It appears some of my reflexes have come back. Now..” As the snake struck one last time, the Saiyajin had lept up a bit as the head of the beast collided with the ground. This allowed Kizuki to come down fatally hard on that skull with his elbow, hearing and feeling the crack of skull against it. The brain of the beast would surely swell with blood as it lay twitching on the ground. He’d put it out of its misery, aiming a palm at the beast to sever the head from the body. The blast was hot to the point where the beast did not bleed, making it easier for Kizuki to haul it away with a trail of blood behind him. Hoisting his prize over his shoulder, he’d begin to float in the air with it, but it appeared he attracted more than just his beast. Scurrying about under him were what appeared to be Saibamen, the little green monsters he had not seen of for quite some time and even when he had, there was very little interaction with them other than a few training sessions. Appearing at his new “base of operations” the two little green men had followed him all the way home. With a frown, Kizuki would throw the beast into the manmade hole that was his home before lowering himself slowly down in front of the two little, green stalkers he had just made. They “kikikikikii”ed at him, growling and blithering in their own little way, maybe going over a strategy to take him down? In any case, whatever they discussed didn’t seem to work. Launching themselves towards him in a screeching roar, with claws extended, Kizuki managed to eliminate this new threat as his palms shot out in front of his body, open hands firing off two beams of ki instantly at them, engulfing the things and ending their lives as they collapsed to the ground, one completely aflame. Seems like their kind burned easily, or that one was severely weak. Spitting off to the side, he would float back up into his new “home,” dragging the corpse of his meal into the main “room” where he would coil the beast around itself. Once again, he’d use his ki to cook the meat in a blaze, charring and broiling the body to the point where the skin popped and the meat sizzled with the natural juices that only a snake this large could produce. Satisfied, he’d pry off those gloves and toss them aside, stuffing his hands into the beast and ripping off chunks of sizzling reptile meat, tearing at it with his mouth and swallowing in huge gulps. Ahh’, this was what he was missing. Surely, the only thing left of this beast in a few moments would be bone, with evening approaching the area soon, he’d sit in darkness until morning came, to which he figured he’d go out and see what else the planet’s wastelands had to offer.
