[Thread PL: 6,502] [@patrolmanbanjo]
In the early hours of the morning, deep in the desert of the western frontier, an Arcosian by the name of Defrosch awakened. But what would he decide to do today? He had already done speed training earlier this week, perhaps he could train his ki sense today? No, no, that didn't seem right to him at the moment. That only left flight training.
The thing about flight training is that it can be done in many ways depending on the weather. For instance, while doing flight training in less than safe conditions such as during a storm could bolster stability an maneuverability whilst flying, it doesn't give a clear indication of maximum normal flight speed nor does it gauge distance traveled as dictated by ones stamina.
For this purpose; flight training is done in two parts- evaluation, which is in calm weather- and execution which is done at any other time.
Today was a good day for the evaluation portion of this training. So, without a moment to lose, Defrosch secured his belongings and got out of the canyons, gathering his ki. "Right... Lets try..." He looked towards the eastern lands. "That'away!" With a burst of speed, the Arcosian recluse blazed across the sky!

It is yet another day of training in our favorite namekian’s pacate eastern lands’ life. This one happened before the meeting in Kami’s Lookout by the way. Nemo was practicing some movements outside of his home. We can see him performing iterations of punches and kicks in a slow pace, as if building the movements sequence in his brain. It is said that if you practice the same mechanical movement over and over, the pattern becomes stored in your cerebellum, allowing for a practically involuntary execution. This is how the samurais of old times (and here I’m making a reference to real world samurais in other to make a point) perfected their abilities: by repeating everything over and over again, through a rigorous discipline of daily training.
Nemo was “fighting” his ghost opponent, exercising his strikes when he suddenly felt a power level approaching really fast. It was a stronger ki, almost twice as powerful as Nemo’s… however, that was because the Namekian was wearing his cloak, which served as weighted clothing to further increase the effectiveness of his training. He was also wearing lighter weights such as weighted boots , belt and a set of wrist weights. As other normal clothes, he had a maroon set of pants on and no shirt. Without all those hindering his power, Nemo would actually be over twice as powerful as the incoming stranger. So he didn’t bother much, other than the fact that his choice of a home didn’t seem to be working so well regarding the intended reclusiveness.
Nemo stands by the river calmly waiting for the newcomer to arrive, wondering what he or she would be doing in such a remote place.

Defrosch darted and rolled through the sky, doing low dips whilst flying across bodies water, running his hand along it, creating a few cut-waves via his gradually improving speed, this silly action never got old. Cuz hey, who said training couldn't be fun?
He would then begin to fly through the Eastern Lands- rocketing into the sky past Satan City, soon after weaving through the Bamboo forest, his aura trail zig-zagging around the jungle trees. He would also pass through the Spinach Wastes, flying along the ground with some running paddock animals, as if he was playing around with them, joyfully cackling. "Ahhh, that never gets old.." He mused to himself after flying away from the farms towards a nearby valley that had a big lake and some rivers.
Defrosch then decided to have a little rest. He was barely in this area anyway. It seemed alright for the most part. Plus, sticking to training in the desert alone is a fools errand. It pays to have more than one environment scouted out you know!
So, it was time for some sight seeing. Little did he know, someone had made their own home here; and a Namekian no less!
"Oh.. Didn't realize someone was here.."

The intruder of “his lands” proved to be a clueless alien. And nothing less than a frost demon! Or arcosian for that matter. It was the second one he saw on Earth; he only wondered if his personality was anything like Dravocn’s. He imagined not; what are the odds of finding two changelings in the same planet and they be goodie two-shoes?
Soon enough the alien lands in front of the slugman, stating his obliviousness to the fact that someone resided in such a remote place. You couldn’t blame the black skinned alien in that regard. ~ ”Yes, this is my home for the time being. May I ask what one such as you is doing around these parts?” ~Nemo interrogates.

'Goodie two-shoes' might not be the most accurate way to describe Defrosch, but in some ways it wasn't entirely untrue! He wouldn't be the kind of person that goes out of his way to bother and antagonize people, he was- for the most part- a reasonable sort. Yet at the same time, Defrosch is an individual that is a bit too easily bothered by the actions of others and would without hesitation attempt defend himself if attacked.
Defrosch looked over at the flowing river. This wasn't something he'd regularly lay eyes upon.. That is unless it were to rain in the desert an subsequently make the canyons there have some pseudo-rivers for a while. "Hm. Fair enough... I was doing some flight-speed training. Thought I'd take a breather around here since I haven't been in this valley before." Defrosch saw no reason to argue, its not like this Namekian's choice of shelter was something to complain about.

Nemo couldn’t be considered the most sociable person around; he enjoyed his solitude and silence. Plus, he was in the middle of his training, so he really didn’t wanted to be bothered by someone he didn’t invite. According with Defrosch, he was just practicing his bukujutsu when he ended up coming across with the grumpy namekian. ~ “I thought you people didn’t breathe” ~ Nemo states, taking what the arcosian said literally. ~ “Regardless, I’m in the middle of my training. I do not wish to be interrupted” ~ The green skinned warrior affirms stoically.

Defrosch felt a little odd. To him, this situation is like looking into one of those fun-house mirrors. A reflection is there, yes, yet since the mirror would is in a certain altered shape; the reflection looks distorted. Both were stoic lone wolves, yet where Defrosch had his sharp wit, this Namekian gives off a vibe of blunt directness.
"Ah, its a figure of speech." Though Defrosch could go further into it, that might agitate the Namekian further. "But I understand, I'll be silent then be on my way shortly." Defrosch would then back away a bit further, opting to sit cross legged on a nearby rock in what looks a meditative pose.
The fact is, he was silent; as promised.

“A figure of speech”. Perhaps one day Nemo will learn not to be so literal and understand what those mean. The arcosian then guaranteed he wouldn’t be a bother and simply moved on to a nearby rock to begin to meditate. Sure, it was the namekian’s home, but it is not like he had a deed for that terrain or anything, so he simply couldn’t claim the entire valley as his own and shoo Defrosch away. But that didn’t change the fact that Nemo wasn’t happy with the undesired guest. ~ “Very well” ~ The green skinned warrior addresses the changeling turning away and heading back to his session of repetitive movements.
Not many kicks and punches later, Nemo couldn’t help but have his attention gravitate to the trespasser. He wasn’t doing anything wrong…. as he promised, he was just relaxing in the big rock he turned into a seat for his meditation and wasn’t doing any noise at all. But Nemo just couldn’t focus in his training. Not only he wasn’t comfortable with executing some of his techniques, as he would be pretty much showing all his tricks to a complete stranger whose true intentions he knew nothing about, but he also couldn’t feel his usual tranquility when training. Not that he was only able to concentrate on training alone… he actually enjoyed a friendly spar every once in a while. It was just that the presence of the unknown alien was annoying him.
And so, he finally yields to his anxiety and addresses the frost demon again: ~ “So… you’re just gonna stand there?” ~

As the Namekian continued his training, Defrosch remained silent, paying no mind to anything but his own thoughts; which were mostly regarding what he was going to eat later on for lunch.
Chicken soup or fish & chips..? A hard decision, no doubt.
It took Defrosch a few seconds to realize he was being spoken to- he was likely far into his meditation. The entire time he didn't really even move... Damn, you could mistake him for a gargoyle statue or something. Granted, a gargoyle would be out of place simply on a rock in a random valley.
"Hmm? Oh... Uh.. Yeaaah?" Defrosch raised an eyebrow in confusion. "I mean, I could just... Go further down the river now I guess?" Defrosch stood up and began to casually walk that way, just as he said...
What a weird Arcosian...

The arcosian is dragged out of his thoughtful state by the namekian’s call out and suggests he would be just keep following the river then. The thought was actually pleasing to the lonesome warrior, but if he was going to stop and think about it… his solitude had already been defiled anyway, so he might just as well take advantage of it and try making the disturbance a bit profitable at least. ~ “Well… since you’re already here anyway, I was wondering if you would like to spar. I could use a practice partner, actually” ~The green skinned warrior suggests.

Defrosch stopped in his tracks, looking over to the river. "Hmm... Well." turning back to the Namekian before slowly wandering back over. "If you really want to, sure." Defrosch tapped his chin in thought. "Okay. So, since this is your place and I was the one that interrupted, you get first move. Does that sound fair?"
Defrosch patiently waited for the Namekian's response before getting into his fighting stance; one leg forward, one leg back, right arm forward, left arm to the left and his tail coming around on his right side. You could call it a 'trident stance' of some kind.

Good. It seemed the arcosian accepted Nemo’s invitation for a friendly spar. In the end, it could prove to be pleasant enough to have a partner to practice with. Indeed it was much better than a ghost fight or fighting himself through that special technique he learned from Master Malac… a different person meant a different way of acting and thinking. He would extract more of an experience out of his training by running away from the usual.
Defrosch offered the first move as a courtesy to his “host” and got into his fighting stance. Not one to waste time with further chit-chat, eh? Nemo liked that, actually. The namekian then gets into his own fighting stance, taking on a more offensive pose as he gladly takes up on Defrosch’s offer. ~ “Very well, then” ~The patrolman responds. He would then shoot a quickly blast aimed at Def’s feet, but mostly as a decoy blast, expecting the warrior to reflexively dodge it. In case he behaved as Nemo expected, the green skinned martial artist would take the momentum to dash and deliver his actual intended attack: a punch to his foe’s stomach.

Defrosch eagerly awaited the action his 'host' would choose to go for first. Perhaps he too was itching to train with another able combatant? Witnessing the fruits of other's training would certainly prove enlightening. It sure beats fighting the desert wildlife and only doing solo exercises, thats for sure!
Defrosch would quickly examine Nemo's initial fighting stance; an offensive one to mirror his own defensive stance. An interesting start!
The first shot was fired, and as the Patrolman would expect, his Arcosian sparring partner would indeed dodge by hopping twirling some paces backwards all the while; keeping his stance together. Defrosch furrowed his brow in anticipation, this couldn't be it...
Like clockwork, through the smoke- Nemo would dash forward throwing a good punch at Defrosch's gut, which also connected. Whilst the punch connected and the duo skidded across the ground...
Defrosch would go for his own first move! "Alright, my turn!" His strike would be simple; using his right arm that was positioned forward he aimed to strike Nemo's chin with an open palm! At the same time, he would use his left arm in an attempt to swing Nemo's attacking arm off to the side.

Nemo’s little trick worked and when he emerges from the smoke, there’s little Defrosch can do to avoid his attack, getting dragged along by the powerful strike to the gut. Still, that was only the beginning and no serious damage has been dished out. The arcosian prepares his counterattack, palm striking Nemo’s chin, what causes him to look up for a moment, as well as repelling the greenies’ arm. He succeeds, but the big warrior takes advantage of the momentum to throw his weight over Def’s head, flipping in an acrobatic maneuver you wouldn’t expect from someone of Nemo’s size and then landing on his feet again. He then retaliates by performing an spinning kick aimed at the arcosian’s flank.

Of course, Defrosch didn't expect the clash to slow down at all- for that is not how true warriors do it! A true warrior keeps the pace up and evolves constantly! As Nemo flipped over Defrosch, the Arcosian made a quick turn to once again face his Namekian sparring partner, bringing up his tail to whip at the incoming kick, but it would only lessen the impact.
"Heh... you're not half bad!" Its not often that Defrosch admits this sort of thing, and it kind of showed. "Maybe I should kick it up a notch~!" Defrosch's presence fluctuated a bit. Nemo might be able to feel a rush of air pass him, which is strange, because Defrosch was still there- Oh, oh no he wasn't! The image in front of Nemo would fade after a few seconds.
"Yo! Over here!" Aha! There he is! He had indeed rushed past Nemo! He also just threw some basic ki blasts towards the Namekian!
