((A continuation to 'Through the Looking Glass' - takes place before Zerori lands on Earth IC on Wod Souls. Her PL is about 2,600 for this thread. You're up @banjo))
~-~-~-~-~
The last time they left off, Zerori and the cybernetic ‘BREU’, she was in the midst of training and taking the chance on her mark. Crowds of people from the city were running from the crash of the sign she had narrowly avoided and some even stopped to foolishly take media captures. It didn’t matter to her – clad in the armor of the Red Doll persona she used for just this purpose. Among the people, her visor locked onto one person and one person only; before her, nearly blending completely into the shadows was a cloak-clad figure.
He was it; she was certain of that. If it wasn’t her mark, and she did make a mistake… Oh fuck it, She thought with a scoff behind her helmet as she quickly closed the distance between her and hooded figure. Hand outstretched, she grasped tightly to the fabric that clothed him and pulled back. Her boots grinded into the carbon-coated streets as she reached up with her other hand and made a swift gesture before planting the shaft of a blaster firmly against the chest of her prey.
Under her finger tips, she could feel a slight tremble, either from the viciousness she picked him out or pure fear – she didn’t care. She gazed at the face of the figure from under the shadow of the mask, taking a couple of steps back when she noticed more than a fearful expression. Shoving him to a wall and eliciting a gasp of surprise from him (now sounding slightly male) she spoke, “Your name.” It was demand that booked no argument, firm and unmoving. She could swear, however, that he was going to stay silent. “Speak or I shoot.”
For a few tense seconds, he almost said nothing before she growled softly with impatience, “N-No Name. Just an… observer!” He seemed to confess with panic, confusing the woman. She didn’t want that answer – it was useless to her, but by the tone of it…
Not completely convinced, she let out a savage snarl before turning to throw the man against the wall. With a fearful cry that turned into a pained one, he slammed into a wall before falling on his side. As he did so, the hood fell back to show his face and head full of dark blue hair. It was almost impossible to tell, since she was testing the waters here, but when she saw it… a grin came to her face behind the visor. On the ground, the stranger scrambled to his feet while simultaneously trying to pull his hood back on, “You’re crazy! Get away from me!” With a final yell, he took off down the street in a mad dash. Whether or not he was truly in fear or using it as cover to play victim didn’t matter to her.
She didn’t move from her spot as he disappeared behind the corner into the darkness. After a second, she raised her forearm to look at the PDA closely.
A small dot would be seen moving along a grid-like surface.

A personal note to our readers, this is a tale that happened years ago, back when BREU was still called Kurasao. Before we dive into the blue skinned alien’s and the saiyan hybrid’s little flashback, let meget you situated with what led both characters to their memory trip. It is soon after the BBA members left to the saiyan’s home planet and BREU decided to enjoy the opportunity to chill for a bit; something that would later turn into his World Tour of the Booze trip. He was relaxing in these springs, drinking some melomel when he had his attention drawn by flying birds and a female yell echoing through the silent woods that hid it from sight. When he gets to the source, he figures out he just met an old acquaintance of his. And thus, this sets us back four years ago, in this planet called Eid-2 where Kurasao (as BREU will be addressed in this story) took a job.
So, our favorite alien is scanning the streets with a high-powered set of binoculars looking for his target. It is then that he sees this weirdo clad in power armor sliding down the window panels of a close edifice. That moment, Kurasao’s mind drifted off his objective and locked into this much more interesting character. Kurasao couldn’t resist the urge to investigate. The brenchian then makes his way down to the streets fast enough so he wouldn’t lose track of this individual. It looked like he was also looking for someone. Perhaps a mercenary like Kura himself. And perhaps, with a bit of luck, this element could lead him to his target.
Kurasao followed the armored stranger to the street and watched from behind the shadows as the figure threw his/her hands at a hooded individual and slammed him against the wall. By the sound of her voice, and by just me using the pronoun “her”, you can tell Kura figured Zerori out for a woman. And he pretty much was sure now that this person was indeed tracking someone down. When the man-in-the-hood refused to grant the “gentle” lady, she hurled the figure on the wall, causing him to lose his disguise and reveal his blue hair. How nice. Kurasao happened to be looking for someone like that. But if that was really his target, what the hell this woman was doing going after him? That was the million dollar zeni question.
As the man managed to stand on his feet, he takes off through the street. The woman then begins to fiddle with her hi-tech thingamajig. Kura wanted answers as well as observe this armored woman to see what she was capable of before taking any action, so he decided to stick to the shadows, waiting to see what the armored lady would do next.
OOC: Kurasao's pl for this thread will be considered 4.666, his starting, just like Zerori was when we started the roleplay in the previous thread. BREU will count as a flesh-and-bone person, with none of his bio-android/cyborg racial goodness and his techniques for this will only be Tekila Shot and a generic Barrier technique analogous to his Energy Absorber (Defensive) technique, that is performed by yelling loudly and releasing an invisible shockwave to block the attack, rather than by absorbing it through the iconic device, since he doesn't have it yet, as he has yet to be androidified by the time this flashback took place.

Tilting her head at the machine in front of her visor, she mumbled to herself in satisfaction, “Yes, that’s right. Lead me to the nest…” When the dot stopped and then changed direction she chose that as the cue to begin to pursuit. There was sufficient distance between them that he’d lose his guard and most likely change shape to hide himself. Luckily, that wouldn’t remove the tracker.
She took one step before taking a pause; her visor beeping only slightly to indicate something of odd power behind her. Keeping still, she watched the indicator for a few seconds to see if the distance of said ‘interest’ moved any closer. Two seconds… three seconds, she waited. It stayed there, unmoving but it was still caught in the sensor.
Should I stop to investigate it? She thought herself cautiously. When her eyes glanced down at the dot in the PDA to see it moving much faster now, she realized that she couldn’t waste the time. If they’re truly following me, I’ll know and take them out too, She assured herself darkly, taking off with a brisk sprint toward the direction of the target.
Metal corners and various obstacles that consisted of stair-rail bars, rubbish piles and sometimes even people slowed her down a bit. It was an exhilarating feeling to jump and dive, side-step and dodge past anything that could potentially pause or touch her; almost as if she was playing a game of ‘Tag’ and everything else was the tagger. Ever se often, she would find herself glancing at the PDA on her wrist to see the target as they changed direction once more before she picked up the pace once more. When she started to notice the streets and walk-ways ending, she made a quick decision to get high.
Roof-top level.
Like the namesake of her species (or part of it), she latched onto the nearest ladder that hung off the side of the building and swung up onto it, engaging in a climb the most adept of tree monkeys. Upon reaching the top, she run a few paces toward the middle of the roof before turning around and rushing at a break-neck speed toward the edge of the roof before jumping off. Her boots clunked against the metal of the ledge before being pushed off against. Like a 18-wheeler, she trucked across the rooftops with practiced ease, but with the finesse of a 10-ton robot. Speed was her ally, however, and in order to catch him she had to use every option available to her. That meant roughing up some building to continuously pick up said speed.
When she finally met with the dot in the PDA, the no-named stranger, she stopped immediately to look out at the edge of the building. High enough to not be spotted by un-suspecting ground walkers, but visible enough if someone looked up at the rooftops. And as she looked at the people below her, she saw one particular individual do just that.
“You’re not getting away this time!” She yelled, purposefully bringing attention to herself. The man she searched for booked it while many others just stared at her, giving himself away with certainty. Taking a few steps back, she ran into a huge jump and soared across the air before landing on the ground in a roll around people. She took back off after him, just as he seemed to make some gestures and rounded a corner.
If only she paid attention to said gestures before passing said corner… then she would have seen the hammer that nearly laid her out completely. It smashed against her helmet, breaking it open on the visor before she fell against the ground and laid still for a few tense seconds.
When she finally got up, bring a hand to the side of her face, she looked up to the handful of similarly dressed figures that clearly meant to attack her! Fuck, is there… is that three of them or just one?! She thought with disorientation, struggling to get to her feet. “You just… made a big mi… mistake-!” She tried to sound intimidating through the reverberation she felt in her voice.

The sneaky breanchian remains bhind his shady cover, watching the armored lady. She remains there for a few moments after checking some beeping on her gadget. Kura could only wonder what that meant. He wouldn’t move a muscle though, controlling his breath as to not provide the least sign of his presence. She then finally made her way towards the man-in-hood. Good, that led Kurasao to think she didn’t actually figure him out. Perhaps the beeping was something else. He then also began to move, although stealthily as fast as he could as not to lose track of the predator nor be noticed following her blue haired nameless prey.
After making her way through several obstacles, the agile hunter tights her fists around the metal bars of a ladder and begins to climb it up. Kurasao figures the wisest thing to do is to NOT follow her trail from there. He would stick to the streets, observing from below. He soon watches the woman’s jumping body, moving from a rooftop to another. Kura keeps his tactics of hunting from below; if at anytime he didn’t see the woman jump, that would mean she had stablished herself at the location and would be most probably busy gently beating the crap out of our little runaway fellow before finishing extracting whatever information out of the blue haired man. Then, while she was with all her eyes upon her target, that would provide the perfect momentum for Kurasao to make a safe approach. That was his plan.
Then, the armored woman suddenly jumps of the roof. It seemed the brenchian was wrong; he thought she followed the figure up the edifice. No. She was just getting herself some better view range for her hunt. But can you blame Kura? He didn’t have all those fancy stuff Zerori had… so how the hell could he know where the target was? Kura continued to make his way past the people and behind the two, never taking his eyes of Zerori. It was then that all of a sudden, the girl falls to the ground. The blue skinned alien sees as someone hits the armored one as she passes by a shady corner. – “HA! Noob…” – Kura mumbles to himself, mocking the lady for her carelessness. It seemed that even with all of her neat toys, the woman was a bit troubled now that there were more of them. Kurasao sticks to the shadow, keeping his role as an spectator. He wanted to get a better look at the assailants, make sure there weren’t more. He also wanted to see the woman move a little bit to see what she was capable of, before going and “saving” the damsel in distress.
Kurasao bids his time for the time being.

When she got to her feet, staring at the constantly shifting assailants in her vision, she was certain that they were about to step forward to continue their attack. From the broken helmet she snarled at them, leaning down into a stance to attack them should they approach any closer. From what she could tell, they were dressed in darker colors with all cloths covering over their faces in different fashions. Some had red-tinted hair, while others could be seen with darker hair. As her vision started to clear, leaving only the insane throbbing that threatened to knock her back onto her ass, she turned a shoulder toward them to hide the other arm.
She would begin slowly making the gesture to activate her arm canon.
The largest one that held the hammer, Damn him, took another step closer and seemed to grumble in the language of the planet. With her helm only working to half capacity, she could only pick up a couple of the word translated; though they were pretty convincing with the tidbits of ‘escape’, ‘wench’, ‘slaughter’ didn’t leave much to the imagination when it came to their intentions.
Biting down a sound of pain from a particularly painful throb, she lifted an arm to beckon them with a couple of fingers toward her, “Y’wanna go?” She slightly slurred. If they thought she couldn’t get a pot shot in from the distressed, they’d soon be sorely mistaken! For a few tense moments, no one moved an inch; waiting for the other to make the next move. A bead of sweat rolled down her cheek, touching a piece of the metal and dispersing into different lines before her eyes focused on sudden movement.
It was a close call, the delay in her reaction time nearly pausing her, but she narrowly avoided the swipe of the hammer in a swift step back, bending her back to feel the air pass by her nose. Using the momentum, she twisted her body to the side and planted on foot into the ground while swing the other up to slam into the side of the attacker with her heel. The movement nauseated her, shifting her center of gravity. When she balanced back out, watching the body fall to the ground with a cry, she suddenly lost track of the other two that weren’t part of her focus.
Strong hands grasped her shoulders and the bend of her elbows before slamming her down into the ground. With a painful gasp, breath escaped her and further disoriented her sight to almost constant blurring. Shit!
The faces of her attackers couldn’t be seen, darkness creeping in on her vision, but she could feel her strength leave her. “I’m… not DONE YET!” She roared, thrashing against them before she threw a leg up and slammed the tip of her boot into one of their heads solidly. When an arm released the blaster wrist – she wasted no time.
Every disperse of the canon would be followed with a yell or cry or bellow of pain. It didn’t matter where she aimed; only that she would blast at bodies for as long as they were up right; only when they hit the floor would she cease her firing to catch her breath and gain control over her bodily faculties. Need… to keep track of that little SHIT… And she lifted her head to search for the stool pigeon.

The brenchian merc kept watching as Zerori was still surrounded by the cloaked figures. Kura could only wonder how this woman would fare against them after the episode of her headbutting the maul in the hands on the big fella. It seemed the guy would go for another swing of his weapon, but this time the armored woman managed to keep herself from being smashed by it, going Matrix on the hooded figure’s attack. Kurasao could almost see the scene entering a slow motion… if the iconic movie was an actual thing in the universe this story is unfolding, that it. – “Not bad” – The blue skinned alien mutters to himself, stealthily repositioning himself in order to get a better view of what was happening, but while still preventing his presence to be noticed by the little group. He then watches as Zerori retaliates, hitting the man on his flank, causing the huge assailant to drop to the floor. It seemed that this damsel wasn’t in distress enough to require saving from our blue skinned prince charming.
Kurasao thought it was too soon to vow for the armored girl’s capability of handling herself alone out of the situation when she was subsequently slammed against the ground by one of the other two elements in the vicinity. But she was quick to recompose herself, counterattacking by kicking the man in the head. Kura stick to the shadows, analyzing every movement Zerori would make in her flailing against the assaulters. It was then that she started shooting the little group with energy. Geez… this girl seemed like a walking arsenal… – “Awesome” – Kura couldn’t resist but engage in another brief dialogue with himself…
It was good that the girl was exerting herself though. If she would take him to the blue haired man and he proved to be Kura’s actual target, it would just make it easier for the mercenary to snatch the bounty from the armored chick. He kept stalking and observing; at her first movement, Kurasao would proceed to follow her from within the darkness of Eid-2’s streets.

As she looked around for the son of a bitch that got her into this mess, because she was not going to admit to biting off more than she could chew, she watched as he just barely scrambled past a corner. From the perspective out of the helm, one eye rolled in frustration, “Just… my fucking luck…” She hissed, taking a few tentative steps forward to see how much her head would swim. She took a deep breath when the vertigo almost had her fall, staggering a bit before she began stomping in the direction of the ‘No Name’. He had a name and she was going to found it out!
Once she passed a corner, however, she paused and felt the familiar itch of someone watching her. It may have been more of her prey’s cronies, it might be a couple of scared on-lookers seeing if people would die (and they did) – but something felt off about this feeling. “I’m being watched… and they better stay out of my way,” She threatened in a mutter. Taking back off in the direction of her foe, she ignored anyone that was in her way, pushing a few when her legs wouldn’t let her avoid them and throwing her shoulder into any obstacles that seemed flimsy enough for her to break through.
When she hit a door that was a bit too tough for her shoulder, she slammed against it to stagger back a few steps before throwing her arm up to blast it instead. As it melted off it’s hinges, she had to wonder… How the hell did he get so fast, all of a sudden?!... This route, I can’t stay on it! She realized, her eyes wide with shock. It was completely in his favor and more likely to lead her into another situation with either or a hammer or (given that her luck was going down hill) a blaster.
Looking up, she scanned the foot holes and hand holes that she could access before looking back down to prepare herself as she threw her body into a brisk climb up the vertical surfaces. She slipped a few times, feeling the slick surface shift under her gloves, but gave a short sigh when she reached the top. As she looked around the area, her gaze locked on to a series of lights that were shutting off one by one in a pattern away from her position. “Tch, like I thought; creating an ambush, eh?” She scoffed and stood completely on her feet. She needed to act quickly or she’d lose her cool completely and… this mission has already suffered enough set-backs to have her fail it now.
However, before she’d do so…
Turning around, she gazed into the darkness where seemingly no one lingered; she knew better. The sheer amount of eyes upon her since the entire journey had finally gotten to her completely. “Show yourself now!” She demanded, uncaring if she was heard. Hopefully, she was too far away for her declaration to inhibit her mission. “If you’re tracking me to track my quarry, you’d best come out now or I’ll sink the mission faster than you can catch up to him…”

Kura’s pursuit of the armored girl’s pursuing the runaway blue haired character continues. He was trying to keep an eye on both Zerori and the fleeing target. We can see the saiyan hybrid dashing through the alley like a demolishing ball, going through anything trying to bar her progress like a juggernaut. She was doing well until a mean door proves to be more than her body could take in a single slam. The brenchian shakes his head in disapproval. The female mercenary decides it’s best to shoot the obstruction open this time, but appears to have changed her mind, deciding against keeping that same trajectory. Perhaps having her head almost turned into puree by that huge fellow’s weapons a few moments ago made her a bit more wary of her choices on how to proceed with this manhunt.
It was then that Zerori begins to climb a structure again, going for the top. Given the location, this time Kurasao wouldn’t have many options than follow her up in he didn’t want to lose her out of sight. He stealthily approaches as the woman makes her escalade and follow her up, jumping to the shadows as soon as he reaches the elevated terrain. However, sticking to the shadows would do him no good anymore. Zerori was aware of his presence. Not now… she had already perceived she was being stalked for a while. This was especially clear in her tone. She dares the blue skinned blonde to come out of his hideout.
For brief moments, it seemed that the mercenary was talking to no one as there was no response from Kura; he thought for a moment how beneficial could it be to keep playing that game of dog following a cat following a mouse. He pretty much figures out it would be counterproductive to try to hoodwink her since she probably could find the brenchian anyway with all those trinkets she had at her disposal, what would only delay both parties allowing for the hunted one to escape. ~ “Alright, alright… no need to ask twice, doll” ~ Kura says, not in a reference to her Red Doll alias, as he had no way to know about that… Kura was just that intrusive regarding social matters. He likes to give people monikers. He was just unsure of what to call her yet and went with something more generic, given the fact that she was a female.
The stalker comes out of the shadows. Zerori would see a tall man, standing six feet and three inches (or a hundred ninety one centimeters). His hair wasn’t weird like the current hairstyle we see in his game profile; since he was in prison for a while, his hair was pretty long back then, still blond and almost reaching waist length. He was also bigger than the usual, displaying a bulky physique as you don’t have much to do when you’re a convict other than exercise yourself, a regular habit he would keep for seven years. He had amber-colored eyes and fine traces that would make you consider him a very handsome man if you can get past all the blueness. Unlike Zerori, he wasn’t using high-tech protection, wearing an all black leather-ish sort of clothing for a complete stealth-merc cliché figure. And to make it worse, yes, he had a cloak, but he takes it away to reveal his face to the woman in the power armor. ~ “I don’t think that would be beneficial to neither of us, would it?” ~ The still-not-an-android-yet alien points out.

It’s not in my head, She thought herself as she waited, knowing that every second would prove to be out of her favor if her quarry escaped completely. If she was wrong, she would need to make up a lot of time. If she was right then she could knock out two birds with one stone. When a couple more seconds passed, nearly prompting her to turn back around to try and resume the hunt, a voice made her pause. Male, young and from an uncomfortable close distance, Zerori turned to face a figure walking out from the darkness. The part of her face that was exposed from the helm showed an eye brow twitching at the mention of ‘Doll’, unsure if he knew about her alias or if he just made a very, very lucky guess. As he approached the saiyaness tilted her head at him, his words making her think for only a moment before responding in sarcasm.
“Beneficial? How does stalking me in the hopes of whatever you plan to gain benefit me? As I see it…” She started, taking a few sauntering steps forward in the hopes of intimidating him before she continued, “-you’re hoping to take my mark for your own and kill me in the process.” Her voice was sharp, almost lethal, as she hissed at him in distrust, “So what’s your angle? Tell me and I promise one of two reactions: I’ll kill you quickly if you’re here for my prize or I’ll cut you in on a deal if you work for me. Temporarily, of course…”
Unbeknownst to him, however, the thought of getting rid of any witnesses was far more preferable to allowing a stealthy snake to slip from under her nose. I must be in a bad mood…

For obvious reasons, not even Kurasao’s “charming” entrance was enough to soften the saiyan hybrid girl’s heart regarding his little stalking of her. She wanted to know how it could be of any advantage to her having the alien following her around. ~ “Oh… I guess you don’t appreciate some fine company? That’s a shame” ~ The ironic brenchian responds to her comment. She then points out what she believed it would be Kura’s true intentions. Not a bad guess, I would say… ~”You hurt my feelings with such an insinuation… such a nice guy as I… I was even thinking in saving the damsel in distress back then. Guess I did well in keeping in the shadows, since you have such disdain for my presence” ~Kura stages a sad face. She then goes direct, asking the brenchian what were his intentions and tries to intimidate the intrusive man; he could see the deadly stare through the hole in her helm, but didn’t seem to be coerced at all. ~ ”The thrash talk is good, although it would have had much more of an effect if I didn’t get to witness your little nearly beheading misadventure a few moments ago” ~ The blue skinned mercenary says in response to Zerori’s threat, making a small pause before he continues. ~”And, work FOR you? That’s cute. Mind you, the only person to boss me around is myself, so I’ll be a chevalier and rephrase that for you. I will work WITH you. And yes. TEMPORARILY, like you eagerly said yourself. You don’t like these terms, then I got news for you. Every second you stale here. it is more time for the man who is impressively always one step ahead of you to prepare another hammer or fade way from your amateurish tracking skills. You can be as lovely as to elongate his handicap some more… or you can have an experienced – and must I say handsome – mercenary contribute to capturing our dear Mr. Runaway. So, what’s going to be, princess?” ~ The blond smirks.

Zerori eyed the alien, giving an eye roll when he went on about his ‘fine company’. She’d yet to see it, honestly, if his asinine rebuttals were anything to speak of. If she had fur her hackles would have rose at the mention of her near beheading, stepping towards him threateningly, “I have a disdain for your presence because I could feel you at my back the entire time! Save your sarcasm for someone who would actually believe you!” Feeling her head throb from the pain of her attack and the heat in her blood from anger, she paced violently back and forth as he spoke. She wanted to shut him up or get him to help her, time falling away from her every second.
There was a chance she could catch him and there was a chance he was already gone.
She turned back to him, pausing her pacing, as he spoke of them working together. Is he mad?! He ignores any possible plight against me and thinks that working with me is gonna work? Her chest rose and fell quickly, belying her impending rage before she paused. After a second or two, she growled lowly and rolled her shoulders back, “…Fine…” She said softly, her gaze smoldering him as she stepped up to him to close the distance between them, “I’ll… trust your judgment on this matter. If something goes wrong, it’s on your head and even if it takes shooting through you… I’m going to finish this.”
She stepped back from him, letting a sigh pass through her nose before nodding in the direction she needed to go, “After. You.”
((So sorry for the wait >< I'll try and keep up with it x3))

Being the jerk he was, OF COURSE he would have to make another – using the nice word the fellow writer constructing this story along with me used – asinine remark, interjecting as Zerori justifies her disgust for the man’s company. ~ “Oh doll… If you were really feeling me at your back all this long, I can assure you your feeling would be much different from ‘disdain’…” ~ The ass-of-a-man insinuates with a sarcastic smile. [space reserved for a slap]
Zerori seems to have no choice but agree with Kura, although transferring the responsibility for the mission’s results to the blue skinned aliens. That is…. in case it failed, of course. She steps back, probably mistrustful of going ahead of the shady mercenary. ~ “Heh… So here’s how we’re going to do this. Mousie is probably setting you up few miles ahead, oblivious to the fact that there are actually two tomcats after their meal. Keep your eyes open, but let him believe you are actually easy prey… well… if he haven't figured it out already, given your performance so far...” ~ The brenchian divagates for a moment, looking away from the saiyan hybrid. ~ “Anyway…” ~ He then continues to provide his idea of a plan. ~ “See this?” ~ He pulls out a small capsule from his pocket, showing it to his “partner”. ~ “This is a Thread Capsule… It explodes, launching tiny strings that attach to the surroundings and which are specially adherent to organic tissue. Since the threads are so thin, they are pretty much invisible to the eye, although very resistant. I’ve probed this area prior to our lovely meeting and found they all eventually converge to the same point before connecting back to the streets where you’ll pretty much lose sight of him for good, if he reaches there. I’m going to go ahead and place one of these beauties in this final street. That way, when our little fly inevitably hits the spider’s web , he’ll be pretty much helpless” ~ He explains, putting his little trinket back into his pocket. ~ “You just keep going after him and make sure he doesn’t disappear. The frequency of my communicator is [insert frequency here because I’m too dumb to think of one on my own]. You just tune yours so we can hear and talk to each other” ~ Kura puts on a small object at his ear that looks like a scouter without the visor. ~ “Think you can keep your head tied to your neck until the end of this doll?” ~ He mocks the hybrid merc.

She didn’t pass up the opportunity to cuff him on in the side of the head, crossing her arms afterwards as a warning should he attempted to make another half-assed attempt at either ‘wooing’ her or insulting her. He continued, with miraculous patience, and began to explain his plan. The mention of a ‘Tom’ and ‘Jerry’ was lost on her – so much that she raised an eye brow, “Who… the fuck is ‘Tom’? My name is-” She stopped, nearly forgetting that she didn’t want this fool to know her beyond the moments they had to work together. “Just continue,” She drawled with a sigh. Another quip, either done on purpose or to rile her up, and she was sucking in a breath to keep her emotions in check – a very difficult endeavor.
The plan as it was laid out wasn’t difficult – as a matter of fact it was so easy on her part that she had look at him with a dry, dead-panned expression to get it in his head just how unamused she was with him. “You want me… to divert MY bounties’ attention from whatever trick you plan to use in a no-lose situation so that YOU can take the credit for whatever failure I might incur?” Her tone was beyond accusing, heavily tinged with sarcastic distrust and yet finished by saying, “Fine.” She raised her hand to her scouter, inputting the frequency as quickly as she could in her anger. She needed to get away from him before she did something she would definitely regret.
Turning away from him, she took a few steps away before the anger got the best of her. Passive aggression wasn’t her thing, after all and…
“AGH!” She turned around, throwing her arm out and allowing the blaster on her arm to transform and release a large beam-like blast that struck against a wall of a nearby building. As it burned through and the blast disconnected to fade off, Zerori lowered her arm. The wall was blackened and destroyed but she was sated for the moment, anger quickly leaving her.
She turned to him, her eyes zeroed in his as she spoke, “I think I can manage that… if you can,” before turning away toward the edge of the building and jumping off. Upon landing she was unsurprised to find many of the civilians frightened of her appearance, jumping away and crying out as she looked up at them before turning away to embark on the chase once more. She kept mindful of the plan, no matter how much ire it pulled from her, holding on the knowledge that as soon as she finished this, she’d leave the sooner.
Remembering the frequency, she let out a deep sigh before belatedly tuning to the channel, “Testing. Can you receive this? Don’t really give a fuck but can you read this?” She asked, whispering the first part of her second sentence before finishing.

The blue alien is forcefully hit in the side f his head, forcing it to turn to the side. Even so, Kurasao doesn’t lose his smile. ~ “Heh… Feisty., I like it” ~ Kura says and then turns his head again to face the saiyan woman. He stares right through the hole in the helmet into her eyes. ~ “Very well, I’ll give you this one. But let me warn you… As much of a fan as I am of a little spanking sometimes… You do that again and you’ll have to learn to tie your shoes with a single hand. Got it?” ~ Kura warns. His usual scornful expression is now replace with a deadly stare, as if imposing his presence on the armored lady to pass on his message clearly. It was then that he explained his plan to Zerori.
The saiyan hybrid seemed to not like Kura’s idea very well, although she ended up accepting to play along. This was made specially clear when she vents her anger at a poor wall, which easily gets destroyed by her arm cannon’s blast. ~ “That’s what I’m talking about! Warning the enemy of how far you are from him like you just did, or whatever other amateurish thing you can think of to make him believe he has the upper hand. After all, if you change your ‘modus operandi’, our target is gonna be wary. So yeah… I’m not asking you to divert no one. You just keep being yourself and you’ll do just fine” ~ Kura says ironically, shaking his head in disapproval of Zerori’s anger release.
After their brief talk, Zerori jumped off the building and proceeded as Kurasao suggested. Soon enough, he receives a transmission in his communication device. We see he is already running too to fulfill his part in the plan. ~ “I read you… I’m already in motion… It shouldn’t take me more than a couple of minutes to get ahead of you two and plant the trap. Keep me informed” ~ Kura says.

The feed came back her through her scouter, reverberating through her ear painfully from the strength of her headache. It was bad enough he had the gall to threaten her after nearly compromising her mission with his distractions. You’re just mad that you’ve had nothing but problems ever since you started this mission. What the hell did that rat say this was? A simple ‘capture’ mission? Or was it assassination? Thinking about it only made her head hurt more, but she was certain she needed him alive. She ran through the streets, dodging past people that almost didn’t see her coming before she nearly pushed them aside. She had some ground to cover before she was certain she’d find hi-
Getting close to a barricade, she reached out and left over it just as all the lights around her shattered at the same time. Alarmed, she grinded to a halt along the ground and froze in a defensive posture. Using only her peripheral vision, she observed around her to see if anyone was trying to catch her off guard. There was little light to reflect off of for her eyes to adjust but any shapes in the shadows would alarm her to anyone approaching. One thing was for sure, however…
“I’m definitely caught in a trap,” She informed the cattish rogue on the other side of the scouter, muttering as softly as possible but not worried about them catching on to their plan. Standing up taller, she took a step closer into the darkness while yelling out, “Show yourself! Did I say I would kill you?” She questioned, a sardonic playfulness to her tone, “I didn’t mean it. After all, you’re very important me so just come on out and I don’t have to start shooting at anything that moves.” She would later realize that what she was doing went against everything this mission was based upon.
The fact that it was supposed to be reconnaissance, for instance…
The sound of steps echoed out from the streets and shadows and Zerori concentrated on her hearing to ascertain where it was coming from. After four steps, her eyes would look to the left but not turn her head; there were three sets of boots trying to be very silent behind her, closing in slowly. In front of her, the boots were loud and she could tell they were trying to drown out the ones behind her. Clever… if I couldn’t hear better than most.
“You said you wanted me… for information, is that right?” There he was, that snake! She needed to keep him here, however so this worked out well. A diversion, it was then… Try somethin’ new everyday!
“That’s right…” She responded, wary of the ambush. “I won’t punch, bite, break or cut you IF you take the limited time offer. So… gonna take the offer?” To add to the allusion, Zerori grinned invitingly in the direction she was certain the hunt stood.
When a scoff reached her ears, she could barely hold back the urge to roll her eyes. Figures, she lamented as he spoke. “I think I like my ass right where it is; watching yours get BEAT!” It was at that moment, as if rehearsed by the goons he worked for, that the lights all shifted on at once in an attempt to blind her and the boots behind her became loud and sped up – closing quickly.
Too bad she liked to fire blind! “Sure thing!” She agreed and with a gesture she was firing behind her with her eyes closed, knelt down to one knee with her arm flung behind her. Shots could be heard all over city as she unloaded them into the unnamed attackers behind her.
