(Heavy Weights On)
Yuki had woken up after her eight hours of sleep. She was happy that her and Yu still weren't stuck on planet Yurei. She stretched and decided not to get up right away. She wanted to stay in bed a little longer. Ten minutes later, Yuki slowly sat up in bed and stretched her arms up. Something caught Yuki’s eye as she looked out the window of the spaceship. She could see a small spaceship traveling in the same direction they were. Yuki jumped out of bed and took a quick shower.
Once Yuki was dressed she headed over to Yu’s room. He was sound asleep. Yuki walked over to the control panels to make sure auto pilot was on. She slowed the ship speed down and took a tracker so that if she got separated from the spaceship, she would be able to find exactly where it was. She then wrote a short note letting Yu know she would be back soon. Yuki then put on her oxygen mask and tank on her back. She exited the spaceship. I hope this isn’t a bad idea Yuki thought.
The other spaceship wasn’t far from Yuki. She stayed crouched on the top of her spaceship seeing if anyone had spotted her. Yuki then pushed off from her ship and glided through space. She then landed on the other spaceship. Yuki sighed as she took a few breaths. She looked back at her space ship.
“Intruder!” Yuki heard a voice yell from behind her. Within seconds, Yuki felt her arms get pinned behind her back. A bag was thrown over her head so she couldn’t see. Yuki screamed out for Yu’s name. I should have known better Yuki thought. As Yuki struggled she felt a hard punch make impact on top of her head and everything went black.
-
A few hours later, Yuki woke up. Two androids stood before Yuki. She tried to get up but felt her arms tied behind her with steel. They must know my power level Yuki thought. She was in a small room. One light was on above her head. It lite the whole room up. The two androids in front of her were clearly robots. The looked like robot soldiers. I guess some androids are still made to look like robots Yuki thought.
“Look I didn’t mean to intrude…” Yuki started to say when one of the Androids spoke up.
“No talking until our leader shows up,” the Android said. His vice even sound robotic. Yuki gave a loud sigh and decided to do as they said. She was already in enough trouble. This never happens to Yu when he hops onto other spaceships Yuki thought as she gave a pout face.
A few minutes later, a door opened between both of the Androids. They both faced each other and gave a slight bow as a figure walked into the room. He was an old guy who looked human. He was a tall man with grayish hair and a short gray beard. His entire right arm was made out of metal. He gave Yuki a small smile as he walked into the room. In his left hand he had a cane which he used to help him walk. The other two robots exited the room.
“Yuki Kokonattsu, it’s a pleasure to meet you. I’m sorry for the hospitality my men put you through. We don’t take intruders lightly. Where is your brother, Yu?” The man asked.
Yuki didn’t speak. She kept her eyes staring straight ahead of her. The old guy then pulled up a chair and took a seat. “I’m sorry for my rudeness. My name is Professor Kinzoku (Metal). I’m half human and half android. I was born on Earth with my family. When I turned eighteen I was drafted and forced to go into war. I lost both of my legs and my right arm in that war. After that I went to school for engineering. I ended up getting my master’s in the field. I then built my own two metal legs and my own right arm. One day my heart started to give out. I had my trusted assistant/wife implant a metal heart that I had worked on for years. It ended up granting me a much longer life than her. She passed away a long time ago; after she died I left earth and landed on a planet where androids existed and I eventually became there professor. After their leader died, I was anointed to be the next and I accepted the position,” Professor Kinzoku said. He then paused and covered his mouth as he coughed.
“I’m just an old man trying to keep my new home at peace. I’ve heard stories about your brother and you. I wasn’t sure if you’d be a problem or not. I can’t have my planet going to war. I thought we could help each other out but that depends on you,” Professor Kinzoku went on to say.
“Can my hands be released?” Yuki asked as she finally looked at the professor.
“I’m not sure I can trust you,” the professor replied. Yuki sighed out loud. There’s no point getting myself in anymore trouble Yuki thought.
“Look, I’m sorry I intruded upon your ship, to be honest I wasn’t even sure what I was doing. I just got this feeling inside that was pulling me in that direction. Sometimes I end up making bad decisions because I listen to my gut,” Yuki said as she looked down at her feet.
“I’m not going to hurt anyone as long as none of your men attack me,” Yuki continued to say as she looked back up at the professor. The professor gave her a small smile.
“Some of the decisions must turn out good or you still wouldn't be alive today,” Professor Kinzoku said as he slowly stood up and walked around behind Yuki. He then released her hands. Yuki rubbed her wrist from where the steel was holding her.
“I don’t have zeni if that’s what you want,” Yuki said slowly not sure what was going to happen to her.
“You do owe me. How about this? You come to my planet for three days. During those three days you train with my Android soldiers. You will teach them and in return I will teach you an upgrade to one of your techniques that I have heard about. On the third day, I will return you to your brother. No harm will come to you, I promise. You can learn something out of this,” Professor Kinzoku said. Three days Yuki thought.
“This isn’t a trick right?” Yuki asked as she stood up.
“No trick, I’ll even let you send a message to your spaceship letting your brother know where you are. My androids could learn a few things from you. Like I said Yuki, I’m just trying to live out my days in peace. I know what it’s like to lose the ones you love. You and your brother may have an evil side to you but deep down you also have a good side. I can see it in your eyes,” Professor Kinzoku said as he turned to walk out of the room. Yuki didn’t move as she thought for a second.
He said he can teach me an upgrade to one of my techniques Yuki thought. She then ran out the door and called out for the professor’s name. Professor Kinzoku paused down the hall. Yuki ran up to him. She held her right hand up and said, “You have a deal, sir. Three days.” The professor then smiled and shook Yuki’s hand.
He then turned around and started to walk away. Yuki didn’t move and she started to feel a bit awkward just standing there. “Follow me Yuki,” Professor Kinzoku said from down the hall. Yuki smiled and quickly caught up to the professor. They both entered the Pilot area of the ship. It was a medium size room. This is where the pilot sat and flew the spaceship. The same two robots that had guarded Yuki were in the room typing on the computers.
“Captain, we should be landing shortly,” A female voice said from the pilot seat. Yuki looked out the window to see the planet in the distance. It didn’t look very big to Yuki. She then noticed the professor take a seat in one of the chairs. Yuki walked over and sat down in one of the other seats.
“I heard about your most recent accomplishment, Planet Yurei. I heard a rumor about it a few months ago and made sure my people stayed away from that area in space. Who knew that the King was truly a fake? All those lives killed for his enjoyment. He got what he deserved,” Professor Kinzoku said as he folded his hands in his lap.
Yuki nodded her head. She couldn’t help but think back to his story he had told her a few minutes ago. “Professor, I’m just curious but how come your wife…” Yuki trailed off as she saw the professors face frown. He seemed to be lost in a memory.
“A stubborn woman she was. How I loved her dearly. After, my operation there was problems and it took a while for me to be able to fix them. Once, I perfected it I started to work on one for her but she refused. She told me that when her time came, she wanted to go. It broke my heart but I obeyed her wishes and stayed with her till the end,” Professor Kinzoku said as he seemed to come back to reality. He looked over at Yuki.
“Real pain is watching the ones you love die in your arms. After that day I knew Earth had nothing for me, so I left to start a new life. I didn’t know when I had my metal heart implanted that I would have to go through that. At the time all I wanted was to have a little more time to be with her. I was fifty when I had the surgery. She was an engineer like myself but she also had a doctor degree. Now I’m two hundred and five years old. She passed away twenty years after my transplant. I won’t ever forget those extra years that we got to have with each other,” the professor went on to say.
Yuki gave a small smile. “I’m sorry for your loss,” she said. The professor gave his head a small shake and then he gave Yuki a smile.
“It’s all in the past. We all make decisions. Some we will regret and others we won’t. Life is a learning experience,” Professor Kinzoku said.
Yuki nodded her head and stood up. She walked back over to the window. Now the purplish planet was a lot closer. It still looked small to her though. Yuki turned around. “Can I send a message to Yuki before we land?” she asked. The professor nodded his head.
She walked over to one of the computers and typed in a message. It said:
Hey Yu,
It’s Yuki. I’ll be away for three days. If you need me send out a message, don’t worry I’m fine. I’ll be on planet android. On the third day Professor Kinzoku will bring me back to our spaceship. Don’t get into a lot of trouble without me.
From your sister,
Yuki then added the coordinates to where planet android was just in case and sent the message. Hopefully he won’t destroy our spaceship while I'm gone Yuki thought as she started to get a little worried. Yuki then walked over to her seat and sat down. She buckled up.
“Alright, everyone please buckle up we are about to enter our atmosphere,” the female pilot announced. The two androids sat down and buckled up their seat belts. The spaceship became very rocky as they enter the atmosphere. Yuki closed her eyes wanting it to be over with already. A few seconds later the ship stopped rocking and it came to a slow speed as the ship landed. Everyone then unbuckled their seat belts and stood up.
“I think we’ve had enough excitement for today. Yuki you’ll start first thing in the morning. I need to go take a nap,” the professor said as he chuckled. “Our pilot will show you where you will be spending your nights. She will then come get you in the morning bright and early,” Professor Kinzoku said as he exited the ship. Yuki exited the ship as well.
She waited outside. The pilot eventually left the ship and walked over to Yuki. “Hello, Yuki. My name is Sokudo. Please follow me,” Sokudo said as she started to walk. Sokudo looked like a teenage girl. She had black hair with the ends of her hair colored blue. She was Yuki’s height. She wore blue jeans and a white t-shirt. They walked straight into a lobby from the flight deck. Sokudo quickly talked to the receptionist behind the desk.
Sokudo then lead Yuki to her room. “Alright, I’ll be back in six hours. Then your first day will begin. I suggest you take a nap. Bye!” Sokudo said as she waved and left Yuki alone in the room.
Yuki looked around the room. It was small and the walls were painted blue. There was a full size bed in the middle of the room. Yuki decided to take a nap. She set the alarm clock that was placed next to the bed. Yuki then climbed into bed and fell asleep.
“Come in,” Yuki called out. Sokudo entered the room. She walked up next to Yuki.
“I’m glad to see you’re awake. Would you like to get some breakfast before we head over to the training area?” Sokudo asked. Today she was wearing a yellow jumpsuit with some form of armor on top of it. Her hair was pulled up into a pun. Yuki nodded her head.
Both girls left the room. Yuki started to get curious. "Sokudo, is everyone on this planet, some form of android?” Yuki asked.
Sokudo looked at Yuki and gave a small smile. “Yes, some are like Professor Kinzoku. He saved them from dying. But most are built androids. Our history goes way back. I’m not even sure who the first android was but over time, androids lives do end as well. None of us will live forever. Some of us even choose when we want to die so we can feel more normal. More human so to say,” Sokudo said as she kept walking. The two headed to the dining hall and ate a small breakfast. Once they finished, Sokudo lead Yuki to the training area.
Yuki was surprised at how big the training area was. A huge patted mat covered the ground for where practice fights took place. Aid tents aligned the mat. Yuki saw some Androids either having oil added to their joints so they can move easier. Others were having their parts repaired back on. Most of the androids looked like regular humans. Although, there were some who had the robotic look like the two on the spaceship.
Sokudo lead Yuki to a huge tent. Inside, Kinzoku was seated and finishing his cup of tea. He was reading a newspaper. When he heard Yuki and Sokudo approached he folded the newspaper and looked at them.
“Good morning, ladies. I’m glad you’re on time. We have much to do today,” the professor said as he stood up. “Yuki, today I would like you to practice physical combat with some of my soldiers. I know your used to that type of training so it should be easy,” the professor said as he started to walk out the tent. Sokudo and Yuki followed him.
“So you want me to teach basic physical combat?” Yuki asked a bit confused.
“Yes. Don’t worry, I already informed everyone and Sokudo will stay with you to make sure there's no trouble. Today, you'll be working with our teenager soldiers,” professor Kinzoku said. “Sokudo will be your assistant,” the professor continued to say as he stopped in front of a small group of androids.
The four androids got into a line as the noticed the professor. The held their arms straight down on either side of them. “Greeting, Professor,” they all said at the same time.
“Alright, this is Yuki. She will be your instructor today. Do as she says and don’t give her any trouble, got it?” the professor said. They all said yes sir as a response.
“There all yours,” professor Kinzoku said as he patted Yuki on the shoulder and walked away. Yuki gulped as she looked at the four androids.
“Alright everyone pair up!” Yuki ordered. Yuki was surprised to see the four androids got into two pairs. Hopefull this won't be too difficult Yuki thought. She noticed two of the boys were twins because they both looked alike. They had brown shaggy hair and blue eyes. They looked to be about thirteen in human years. The other two androids were girls. One had red hair tied back in a ponytail. Her eyes were the same color red. The other girl had short pixie hair and it was dyed purple. Her eyes were the color green. Both girls looked to be around the same age as the twin boys.
“Do they have names?” Yuki whispered to Sokudo.
“Here, we let them name there selves. Like code names,” Sokudo replied back to Yuki.
“Alright, I want each of you to get into your fight stance,” Yuki said.
The group got into position as they faced there competitor. The two boys both placed their hands up and out in front of them. The two girls had their fists held out in front of them. Yuki got into position in front of Sokudo.
“We will demonstrate first and then you guys will try it,” Yuki said. Yuki then went to punch with her right fist towards Sokudo’s face. Sokudo blocked it. Yuki then threw her left fist towards Sokudo and she blocked that one too. They continued this combo taking turns who threw the punches and who blocked them. It was a basic practice. Yuki finally stopped and faced her students. “Now you guys try, start of slow and then start to move faster,” Yuki said.
Yuki walked over to the boys and watched as they practiced. The twins were pretty good at their timing and were able to move much faster. “What should I call you guys?” Yuki asked as they were practicing. The boys replied saying to call them Fire and Ice. Yuki smiled at their code names. She then made her way over to the two girls practicing. They were a bit slower and more cautious when throwing there punches. Yuki found out the girl with the red hair was named Rose and the girl with the purple hair was named violet.
“Stop, time for your next phase,” Yuki said as her and Sokudo got back into a fight stance. Yuki went to charge at Sokudo but Sokudo ducked. She then got behind Yuki and went to kick her in the side. Yuki turned around and blocked it with both of her hands. She grabbed onto her leg and threw Sokudo over her shoulder. Sokudo did a back flip and landed on her feet.
Yuki then looked at her students to see their mouths wide open. “I want you to take turns at charging your opponent. Be able to block their moves and attack back. Fighting isn’t just physical guys, you need to be smart about your attack movements,” Yuki said as she walked back and forth. I sound like an actual trainer Yuki said as she smiled. “Now go on and try but remember no harsh blows,” Yuki said as she stopped walking and watched her students.
Yuki went to the girls first this time to watch them. Violet charged at Rose with her right fist. Rose jumped up into the air to get out of the way. She then flew under violet and stuck her foot out tripping Violet. Violet fell on her face. Rose waited for her to get back up. Violet charged at Rose, she faked a right punch and made impact with her left fist hitting Rose in the stomach. Rose gasped for air. Violet gave a small smile. Rose did too and told violet she did well.
“Rose is usually better then Violet, those two are best friends but when it comes to fighting they have a small rival going on,” Sokudo whispered to Yuki as she walked up next to her.
“A rival is always good just as long as it doesn’t get too out of hand. It could ruin a friendship,” Yuki whispered back to Sokudo. Yuki then walked over to where the twin boys where fighting.
Ice charged at Fire with his right foot aiming for his face. Fire blocked the leg attack and went to go punch Ice in the side. Ice flew away from his brother and landed on his feet. He motioned for him to attack. Fire smirked as he took off towards Ice. Fire flew up into the air and tried to punch Ice in the face with his right fist. Ice blocked it but he didn’t see the left fist coming. Ice gets punched in the face with Fire's left fist. Fire then kicks Ice in the gut with his right foot. Ice falls to the ground. Fire walks up to him and ask if his brother is okay. Ice quickly flies up and punches Fire right in the face with his right fist.
“Alright that’s enough,” Yuki calls out to the two boys. “Even though you’re related, that doesn’t mean you should beat each other up,” Yuki continues to say.
The boys gave each a smile and shook hands for a truce. Yuki then lead the group to the practice target section. There were target sheets on poles. Yuki stepped up to the yellow line. She held up her right hand and formed her magma ball. Yuki then threw it towards one of the targets. When her magma ball made impact it blew up the target sheet.
“That is an example of one of my techniques. You will all learn in time what your own techniques are. Some of you may already have some,” Yuki said as she looked at each of them.
The two boys wanted to show Yuki their technique. She watched as they both walked up to the yellow line. Fire was able to create a red beam from his eyes and hit the target. While Ice formed a white beam from his eyes and was able to hit the target. They remind me of Yu and I with our different technique elements Yuki thought as she smiled.
As for the two girls, they both admitted they could only do physical combat at the moment. “Don’t worry you two; I was always doing physical combat when I trained with my empire. It wasn’t till I got more experience on my own that I started to learn my own techniques. Alright everyone let’s get back to your physical combat training,” Yuki said as she clapped her hands and lead her group back to where they had started.
For the next few hours Yuki continued to teach the two pairs different physical attacks. She would then let them practiced as she watched over them. Yuki had never worked with Androids back on her home planet. It was a new experience for her but she realized Androids were just another species trying to survive. The sun quickly went over their heads as the day came to an end. As the sun started to set, Professor Kinzoku returned. He dismissed the students for the day.
“You did well as a teacher, Yuki. You could open up your own school one day,” the professor said. He then coughed into his hand. Yuki noticed the professor looked a little weak but didn’t say anything about it.
“Teaching isn’t my thing. I’m more of a fighter,” Yuki responded to the professor as she wiped the sweat off from her forehead. She didn’t realize how tired her body had become just by doing simple attacks all day long. Teaching isn’t easy Yuki thought.
“Well you’ve taught those kids some good attacks. I’ll make sure they go over them. Anyways, you’re free to go back to your room. I’m sure there serving dinner in the dining hall. Sokudo will keep you company,” professor Kinzoku said as he walked away.
“Is he okay?” Yuki asked as she watched the professor walked away.
“I’m not sure; I think it might be his metal heart acting up again…” Sokudo said as her voice faded. The two girls headed back to the hotel and got some dinner. Yuki noticed that Sokudo seemed very quiet so she didn’t try to make too much small talk. Once they finished eating, Yuki said good night and headed back up to her room. She took a long hot shower. Yuki then got into her pajamas and got into bed. I hope Yu is okay Yuki thought. She turned onto her side. I wonder if maybe Professor Kinzoku is…dying she continued to think as she got a sad feeling. Yuki then felt her eyes close as she fell into a deep sleep.
Yuki woke up before her alarm went off. She took a quick shower and got ready. She then sat on her bed waiting for Sokudo. It was thirty minutes passed the time Sokudo was to show up. Maybe she slept in Yuki thought. She decided to head down to the lobby to see what was up. Once Yuki got to the lobby she saw Sokudo talking with another Android. When she spotted Yuki she excused herself and walked over to her.
“Sorry, I was running late this morning. Professor Kinzoku had me do some errands for him,” Sokudo said as she approached Yuki.
"It's fine. I just wasn't sure if I should head to the training area or wait for you,” Yuki said as she grabbed an ice coffee. Yuki noticed Sokudo was in her same training outfit today.
“I figured you eventually would. There be no point for you to try and escape. I hope you don’t think the professor is keeping you here as a prisoner. He would have let you go if you didn’t want to come here. He’s not a bad guy,” Sokudo said as she too grabbed a coffee. Both girls left the hotel and started to walk.
“I wanted to ask, are you like him?” Yuki asked a bit curious.
Sokudo gave a small smile as she looked at Yuki. “My parents and I were attacked while we were travelling through space. A much bigger spacecraft had got in our path and they intruded into our ship. My parents hid me in one of the small compartments since I was only four at the time. I was born with a heart condition that the doctors weren’t sure how to treat it. The intruders killed both my parents and robbed the ship of everything. They then sent the ship into a frantic and had set a destination for the spaceship to crash into the nearest planet,” Sokudo said as she looked out into the distance. Her face was expressionless.
Yuki held her breath as she listened to the story. “Luckily, I was protected in the compartment of the spaceship and I ended up crashing onto Planet Android. Some of the Androids solider found the ship and heard me crying. They were able to open the compartment and they took me to Professor Kinzoku. From that day he raised me but when I turned eight my heart started to have problems. I started to get really sick and my lungs seemed to not function properly. I would be in the hospital for months trying to keep my heart going and have my lungs cleared from all the fluid,” Sokudo said. They both stopped walking as they reached the training area.
“Professor Kinzoku gave me a choice. He saw me as a daughter to him. In a way I see him as a father since he’s raised me from a little girl. I choose to have the transplant for my heart and lungs. I choose to live a longer life. This all happened fifty years ago but my aging is much slower since I had the surgery at such a young age. I don’t regret my decision, sometimes I think about maybe leaving this world but then I realize the only people who care about live here. I owe my life to Professor Kinzoku,” Sokudo said as she finished her story.
“I can understand, I have nothing against what professor Kinzoku has done. I’ve had near death situations where I’d hope I’d be able to get through it,” Yuki said as she gave Sokudo a smile.
They both headed to where Professor Kinzoku was talking to one of the Android generals. “Good Morning, Yuki,” the professor said as Yuki walked up to him. Today, the professor was wearing what looked to be like a training outfit. He didn’t have his cane with him either. Is he…going to fight? Yuki thought.
“Good morning, Professor. If you don’t mind me asking, are you going to be assisting with the training today?” Yuki asked. The professor laughed at Yuki’s question.
“I may look weak but I can still fight, Yuki,” The professor said as he walked out into a group of Androids soldiers. Yuki followed him.
“Professor, why are you training all of these Androids to fight?” Yuki asked. The professor seemed to think about his answer. He looked back as Yuki.
“Every Planet needs an army, Yuki. Not all Androids here are trained to fight, a lot of them actually volunteer to do it. You’ve only seen one part of this world. The other parts are families just trying to live a normal life. It’s my job to make sure this planet stays safe,” Professor Kinzoku said. Yuki just nodded her head. I guess he’s right. Ever since I was little I was trained to fight and it was always my dream to become part of the Arcosian Empire Yuki thought.
Yuki stood and waited for what her task would be for the day. Sokudo walked up next to her. They both listened as the professor talked. “Morning everyone, so today we’re just going to do the usually physical attacks. I want you all to know though how proud I am. I know together we will be able to face anything that comes our way,” the professor said and everyone started to cheer once he finished his little speech.
Yuki looked around and saw how happy all the androids were. She started to miss her empire. She missed her brother. I just have to finish up today and then I can leave tomorrow Yuki thought. She couldn’t help but look down. Yuki knew her empire was in trouble. After this Yu and
I should head back and see if we can help at all before it’s too late Yuki thought.
She then felt someone lightly shake her shoulder trying to get Yuki’s attention. Yuki looked up to see Sokudo standing in front of her. “You okay?” she asked. Sokudo had a concerned face on.
Yuki shook her head trying to get her thoughts to stop running through her head. “Yes, was just thinking about my own empire,” Yuki said but then she quickly changed the subject. “Alright, what’s the plan for today?” Yuki asked Sokudo.
The professor walked back over to Yuki. “You and I shall train. The others will be training too. I think you’ve earned it from yesterday,” professor Kinzoku said.
“Um…”Yuki said but couldn’t think of any words to say.
“You don’t believe that I can fight, well I’ll just have to show you. Sokudo,” the professor said. Yuki took a few steps back. Sokudo walked over to the professor.
“Let’s prove to Yuki, this old man can still fight,” the professor said as he gave a chuckle.
Both Sokudo and the professor got into a fight stance. They slowly started to walk around in a circle. Sokudo then charged towards the professor with her right fist. The professor easily blocked the punch. Sokudo then went to punch with her left fist. The professor caught her fist he was about to throw her up when Sokudo kicked off from the professors gut. She flew a few feet back. “Don’t hold back Sokudo,” the professor called out to her.
Sokudo eyes started to glow. She quickly took off and started throwing fast punches at the professor’s face. The professor quickly blocked each and every one of them. The professor then landed a right punch into Sokudo’s gut making her gasp. Her hands started to glow and she placed them both on the professor’s shoulders blasting him back a few feet. Yuki looked to see Sokudo’s hands had lightning moving around them. A lighting shock must be her technique Yuki thought. Yuki looked over at the professor he was down on one knee. He slowly stood up.
“Do you surrender?” Sokudo asked. Yuki watched as the professor dusted off his clothes. He then vanished. Yuki blinked. The professor quickly appeared behind Sokudo. He took his right hand and chopped Sokudo between her neck and right shoulder. Yuki watched as Sokudo crumpled to the ground, passed out. What? Isn’t that unfair? Yuki thought. Yuki couldn’t help but feel herself get a bit angry with the professor.
“That was an unfair move,” Yuki said as she walked over to them. Two androids came over and picked Sokudo up. They took her to the nearest aid tent to wait for her to wake up.
“Yuki, in a fight you have to find the quickest way to take down your enemy. A move like that could give a person time to escape or finish the fight,” the professor said.
“This was just a training practice. You were trying to show me your strength. Not who could win the fastest,” Yuki said as she clenched her fist.
“You’re angry with me. That’s good. Now I know you won’t hold back…I mean with your times two as well,” professor Kinzoku said as Yuki gasped. How does he know? Yuki thought.
“I do my research. I know a lot about different races. Brenchian’s were probably one of my favorites to learn about. Even if I hadn’t know about your race I would still be able to tell that your holding back because I know how strong those kings’s you had faced were. You also have been wondering why you can’t sense our power levels. That’s because your ki sense cannot sense an android. I’ll be honest Yuki my power level base is 40k. So you’ll have to go into your times two to make this interesting,” the professor said as he gave Yuki a smile.
“Let’s not hurt yourself professor,” Yuki said as she smirked back. “Alright, let’s fight you old timer,” Yuki continued to say as she walked out onto the mat. She started to do a few stretches. This could be fun Yuki thought. She watched as the professor walked over too.
Yuki went into her times two level. She realized she had her heavy weights on so her power level would be lowered because of that. If I have to I’ll take them off but for now they stay on Yuki thought as she got into her fight stance. Yuki waited, she hoped he would make the first move but he didn’t.
She decided not to wait any longer. Yuki charged forward. She swung into the air and tried to kick the professor in the face with her right foot. He blocked it. The professor then sent a left upper punch towards Yuki’s left side. She was able to dodge it and flew up into the air a few feet. She then landed on the ground. This time, the professor came at Yuki, he threw a combo of right and left punches. Yuki was able to block them. She then punched the professor in the gut making impact but he didn’t seem to be affect by the impact. The professor then grabbed Yuki’s arm and threw her across the mat. Yuki was able to land on her feet.
Yuki took a few seconds to catch her breath. He may be old but he still fast Yuki thought. She heard a beam charged up and quickly jumped to the side just dodging the professor’s laser beam. “Hey!” Yuki yelled at the professor. “I thought this was just physical combat?” she asked as she placed her hands on her hips.
Professor Kinzoku laughed. “Yuki, this is a fight. Not just physical. I want you to use your techniques,” the professor said as he charged up another laser beam. Yuki quickly dodged that one as well. Yuki quickly then charged at the professor. She was able to punch him in the face with her right fist. She quickly flew up into the air and threw her right hand up. She formed her magma ball in her hand. I’ll go easy. For now Yuki thought. “Magma Ball!” Yuki yelled as she threw it where the professor was standing. A small crater was made where the professor had been.
“Missed me,” the professors voice said from behind Yuki in the air. She quickly turned around and dropped to the ground dodging his laser beams. Yuki looked up and watched as the professor formed his own ki ball in both of his hands. Oh no Yuki thought.
The professor started firing ki balls towards Yuki. She had to fly up into the air and dodge each one. She ducked and turned and flew off avoiding each ki ball. Yuki had enough. She quickly formed her lava whip on both her arms. The lava turned into the chains. Yuki stopped and stood in position as ki balls got thrown at her. She whipped her chains out and destroyed each ki ball making them poof before they could hurt her. She quickly saw the professor was distracted and she threw her right arm chain out towards the professor. The chain wrapped around his right ankle. He was caught off guard.
Yuki took all her strength and slammed the professor into the ground hard. Smoked formed around where the professor lied. Yuki let her lava whips disperse as she slowly walked over to the professor. Other androids that had been watching the fight also walked over to the small hole the professor was in. He slowly stood up. His face was covered in dirt. “I didn’t know you knew that technique, Yuki,” the professor said as he started to wipe the dirt off his face. He coughed a little too.
“My Aunt introduced it to me…” Yuki said slowly.
The professor chuckled. “Why didn’t you use your Blaze Ball? It would have been more powerful than your magma ball,” professor Kinzoku asked.
Yuki scratched the back of her head with her right hand. “It would have also created a bigger crater in your training area,” Yuki said. The professor seemed to take that in and he nodded his head.
“Well you did well, you caught me off guard and that’s how a fighter can win there fights. People don’t realize that you need to be smart in a fight. Well enough for today, I’m tired and I think it’s time we get some rest. Tomorrow, Yuki, I’ll teach you that technique I promised,” Professor Kinzoku said as he started to walk away.
Yuki was about to ask what technique when she heard someone approach from behind her. Yuki turned to see Soduko awake again. “He always cheats when we fight. I think he’s afraid I’ll beat him in front of everyone,” Soduko says. Both of the girls then laugh. Yuki looked up at the sky. She hadn’t realized how fast the day is on Planet Android. These days are shorter than on Earth Yuki thought.
“How do you feel?” Yuki asked as they both started to walk back to the hotel.
“Sore neck but other than that I’m fine. I’ll get him back. I heard you were able to catch him off guard. Not many people that have faced him have been able to do that,” Soduko said as they entered the hotel.
“Hey, do you know what technique the professor is going to teach me?” Yuki asked a bit curious. Soduko gave Yuki a smile.
“You’ll have to wait till tomorrow, good night Yuki,” she said as she walked away.
Yuki sighed as she went back to her room. She then took a shower and got into bed. One more day and then I can get back to Yu she thought as she fell asleep.
Yuki finds herself sitting at the kitchen table in her old childhood home. At the stove her Uncle Hyo is cooking up some lunch for the two of them. Yuki can tell it’s a dream because the house is bare. The only thing in the kitchen is the table and chair she is sitting on. The stove her uncle is cooking on is in its rightful place as well. There is nothing else in the room. The walls are bare from pictures that used to be hung up. Hyo seems quiet as he cooks.
“Hyo, what are you cooking?” Yuki asked. Her voice sounds a bit off. Hyo then looks over and Yuki and smiles.
“Cooking?” He says as he turns around Yuki watches as the stove disappears before her eyes. Her Uncle walks over to her and takes a seat.
“Yuki, your brother and you will be heading to Planet Kanassa soon. Now I’m here to warn you. If things get overheated, leave. You can live to fight another day Yuki. Your brother and you have already gotten stronger in such a short period of time. I know you might not want to flee but the empire will be rebuilt. We just need members to survive so that they can rebuild it together after. You and your brother should fight like hell though if you get the chance too,” Hyo said.
“How will I know if we should leave?” Yuki asked.
“Go with your gut instincts but stay together as a team, don’t leave one behind although I know you guys would never do that,” Hyo said as he gave a small laugh. “Well my time is up, I have to head back,” Hyo said as he stood up. He walked over to Yuki and gave her a pat on the shoulder. “Just remember what I said, okay kid,” Hyo said. Yuki nodded her head as tears came to her eyes. She watched as Hyo turned around and started to walk away. As he walked his figure faded away.
“I’ll remember, Hyo” Yuki said out loud.
Yuki woke up and she stared up at the ceiling for a few minutes. She jumped out of bed as she realized today she was going to learn a new technique from Professor Kinzuko. Yuki took a shower and got dressed. She was wearing her black jumpsuit with saiyan armor on top. Yuki placed her hair in two pigtails. She looked around the room to make sure she wasn’t forgetting anything. By the end of the day, I’ll be back with Yu onto our next mission Yuki thought as she left the room for the last time.
She found Soduko waiting for her in the lobby. “I was just about to come get you, I can tell you’re pumped up for today,” Soduko said as she saw Yuki’s smile on her face.
“I’m ready to train and then get to see my twin brother again,” Yuki said. They left the lobby. Yuki looked around her. This planet did remind her of Earth. The only difference is instead of people living here, there are Androids who mostly look like people.
“I’ll never know what it’s like to have a blood sibling,” Soduko said catching Yuki’s attention. Yuki could see the sadness in Soduko’s eyes.
“It’s not always great. They tend to be a pain or annoying at times,” Yuki said trying to lighten the mood. “In a way, these androids are your siblings. I can tell you’re close to a lot of them. Everyone is one big family on this planet,” Yuki continued to say.
“I’ll be honest, I thought all Brenchian’s were nasty little aliens but you’ve proved my stereotype wrong,”Soduko said. Yuki could tell she was joking.
“Well…I heard Androids can get windows installed in them,” Yuki replied back jokingly. Both of the girls laughed as they reached the training area. Professor Kinzuko walked over to the two of them as they approached.
“Good morning, ladies! Sokudo I’m glad to see you’re awake again,” Professor Kinzoku said.
“You totally cheated yesterday and you know it,” she quickly replied back to him. “I demand a re-match!” Sokudo said more loudly. The professor just shook his head at her but he had a smirk on his face.
“You can fight the old man another day. Today, I need to work with Yuki. So I want you to help the other teachers with the students, okay?" The professor asked Sokudo.
“I’ll get on it now,” she replied and walked away.
Yuki followed the professor as they walked a little away from the training area. They walked onto a small hill. Yuki took a deep breath in, enjoying the fresh air. Beyond the hill, there were villages and forest surrounding the area.
“Yuki, I hope you’ve learned something by being here,” Professor Kinzoku said as he looked over at Yuki.
Yuki nodded her head and then asked, “Professor, are you sick?”
He looked away from Yuki. She watched as his face seemed to change a bit paler. She noticed he had lost some weight within the day. Only if you really looked at him could you notice these changes. He then rubbed his chin.
“Yes…but I haven’t told my people yet. I’ve been trying to find a solution to my failing metal heart these past few years. I’ve been teaching Soduko how to create them and other android parts for others who may come here on their death bed. She’s very smart and she picks up on things quickly. I never had children but if I did, I would have wanted my daughter to be just like Soduko. I know she sees me dying as well but she’s in denial. I’ve tried…to bring it up to her but Soduko keeps trying to help me find a solution. She sees me as her father just like I see her as my daughter,” Professor Kinzoku said. He then coughed into his hand.
“I don’t blame her. If Yu…I would do whatever I could to save him,” Yuki said as she looked at the professor. He seemed to agree as he nodded his head.
“So you kept your end of the bargain these past couple of days so I will keep my end,” the professor said.
“Are you sure you up for it though?” Yuki asked.
The professor gave Yuki a stern look, “I’m not dead yet child. I’ll probably live for another decade or so. Did you not see me fight yesterday? I can still fight and I still got my speed.” Professor Kinzoku said. Yuki gave a small laugh at the professor’s response.
“Now do you want to learn this technique or not?” Professor Kinzoku asked.
“Yes, but you still haven’t told me what it was yet,” Yuki responded.
“Just watch me,” the professor said as he took a few steps back. He held his right hand up into the air. Yuki watched as he formed a Magma Ball in his hand, the one just like hers. The professor seemed to be in deep concentration as the magma ball grew and transformed into the Blaze Ball. Wait Yuki started to think. The professor then looked at Yuki.
“I introduce you to the next phase,” Professor Kinzoku said. Yuki watched at the blaze ball transformed into two times larger than its form. It looked as if lava was moving into a ball form. Whoa Yuki thought as her mouth dropped.
“Wait, you knew my technique this whole time?” Yuki asked as the professor released the ball.
“Let’s just say, I met your father once, about a decade ago. He was on one of his missions traveling through space. His space pod had run out of fuel so he landed on our planet. He was friendly to us so we helped him out. Him and I saw eye to eye and he told me about his two children. Your father knew you would one day learn the technique Magma Ball. I promised him, if you ever happened to come to Planet Android, I would make sure you mastered the technique,” the professor said as he started to walk along the hill. Yuki followed behind him.
“You knew my dad?” Yuki asked a bit surprised.
“I only ever met him that one time but I can read people pretty well. Your father was a good man and he raised two strong twin fighters. I can tell you he loved you both with all of his life. The way he would light up when he talked about you too,” the professor went on to say.
“So you found out he was killed?” Yuki asked as her fist clenched.
“News travels fast but yes. I made sure to keep somewhat a track of you and your brother. I just want you to know Yuki that I’m rooting for you both,” Professor Kinzoku said as he gave Yuki a small smile.
They continued to walk till they were in a more spaced out area away from the village. Yuki was determined to master her technique. “Alright, I’m ready to train,” Yuki said with a determined voice.
The professor nodded his head. Yuki flew up onto a medium size rock. The professor took a seat by the small stream. He then looked up at Yuki. “It won’t be as easy as learning the Blaze Ball,” the professor said. Pshht Yuki thought. I’ll show him she continued to think.
Yuki stood on the rock and took a few deep breaths. She threw her right hand into the air above her head. She formed her Magma Ball easily. She held it for a few seconds. Yuki then concentrated more of her ki into the ball. The ball grew a little bigger and burst into shooting flames. “Blaze Ball,” Yuki said out loud. She loved the feeling of having that much power in her hand. Yuki held her blaze ball in her hand she lowered her right hand down and looked at it. I must concentrate all of my ki now into my hand Yuki thought.
Yuki tried but the Blaze Ball didn’t transform. She closed her eyes and tried with all of her strength to make it grow but no luck. Why isn’t it working? Yuki thought.
“I told you it wouldn’t be easy,” the professor said as he sat next to the stream. Yuki released her Blaze Ball and watched it disappear.
“What’s the trick then? How do I create it?” Yuki asked as she crossed her hands over her chest.
“Practice,” Professor Kinzoku said. “I know what might help, follow me,” Professor Kinzoku said as he flew up into the air. Yuki flew up and followed after him. After a few minutes they landed in front of what looked to be a big warehouse. The professor walked over to the keypad that was on the entrance door. Once he opened the door, Yuki followed him inside. As they entered, the inside of the warehouse lite up. It was a huge training arena. Near the door was a small room that people could sit and observe the training while not being affected by any damaged occurred in the arena.
“Alright, I’ll be inside this room. I’m going to program things to attack you. Your only choice will be able to form your technique and destroy it, got it?" The professor said as he entered the safe room and closed the door. Yuki nodded her head. She walked to the middle of the arena.
Within seconds, a robot appeared in front of Yuki. He started throwing ki blast at her. Yuki flew around as she dodged them. A second robot appeared and started to do the same thing. Yuki formed her lava whips and started to destroy the ki blast being thrown at her. A third robot appeared also throwing ki blast in her direction. Each blast seemed to be get more powerful. One of the ki blast then skimmed against Yuki's left shoulder and she dropped to the ground. She quickly had to fly out of the way since the ki blast seemed to follow her everywhere. Yuki could feel herself become frustrated. She charged at the robots and started to punch them. A ki blast went straight into her gut and she flew backwards. Ouch Yuki thought.
Anger pumped through her veins now. She could feel her ki building up. Yuki quickly flew around the room as fast as she could trying to get the robots confused. They stopped firing as they tried to find where she was located in the room. Yuki quickly flew high up and threw her right arm up. She could feel all of her Ki travel to her hand. She watched as she formed the lava into a ball two times bigger than a soccer ball. “Super Magma Ball!” Yuki yelled as she threw the ball down towards the three robots. A huge explosion happened when the ball impacted the three robots. A dusk ball formed in the arena. Yuki felt all of her energy drained as she slowly lowered herself down onto her knees. As the dusk ball dispersed she saw the three robots had exploded and the arena had a massive crater from the blast. The crater took up most of the arena floor.
The professor left the safe room and came over to Yuki. “I didn’t say you could destroy my arena floor but I knew that would happen. You did well. Now you have learned your MP3 technique but you must keep practicing it so your body won't feel so drained afterwards,” Professor Kinzoku said as he helped Yuki stand up.
“I had sent a message to your brother earlier, your spaceship should be in the landing strip waiting for you,” Professor Kinzoku said as they both walked out of the warehouse. Yuki felt extremely tired after using her new technique for the first time. Sleep would be nice Yuki thought.
They both walked to the area where all the spaceships were docked. “Thanks, professor,” Yuki said as she looked up at him. Yuki knew this would probably be the last time she would ever see him again.
“Take care Yuki,” Professor Kinzoku said.
“Let everyone know I say goodbye,” Yuki said as she started to walk towards her spaceship.
“I will,” Professor Kinzoku said as he turned and walked away.
Yuki quickly entered the spaceship. Yu was waiting at the pilot’s seat. “Why the hell did you come to this planet?” Yu asked as he had the spaceship take off into space. He put it on auto-pilot set to fly to Planet Kanassa. He then stood up and faced his sister.
“It’s a long story, but I learned a new technique!” Yuki said all excited but then she felt that her body was still drained out. She walked into her room and crashed onto her bed.
“You traveled all the way to Planet Android just to learn a technique?!” Her brother Yu yelled from the other room. Yuki smiled at her brother’s reaction. She then turned onto her side and fell into a well needed deep sleep.

Learning Upgrade to [UP2] Blaze Ball to [MP3] Super Magma Ball
(For Zeni Please)
From your sister,
Yuki
-
Day 1
Yuki woke up to her alarm clock going off. She got out of bed as she remembered the events that happened a few hours ago. Yuki walked over to the window on the right side of the room. She could see the sun coming up. It looked like a small village. With houses scattered everywhere. There were farms with some of the houses too. Yuki heard a knock on her door.

Day 2
Day 2
Yuki woke up before her alarm went off.

Day 3
(Dream)
(End of Dream)
