Tomoroko hadn't been back to the Tuffle ruins since the incident in which she had been attacked by the 3 elite saiyans. She had never been able to track down the single remaining survivor to get her revenge, or even just ask him what the hell all of that was about... truth be told she didn't care. She had later learned that Natto was in charge of the planet, and their relationship put her in a very precarious position. Elite saiyans, born as such, would see her as trash as she was born a low-class saiyan... they would see her relationship with Natto as a way to earn rank and authority and to better her own living conditions, which wasn't the case at all. She had to prove it... to everyone! She had to become as strong as she could so that they could all see she was achieving her power on her own, and that she deserved to be where she was, not just because the two of them liked one another.
The young girl wandered through the ruins, using her scouter to analyze every single inch of the ruins within range. She wouldn't let herself get ambushed here again, she would make sure she was prepared for anything this time!
Whenever her scouter suddenly rang, alerting her to a presence on the edge of her scouters range she paused. There was no number displayed yet as it was too far away, and so she took to the sky and quickly began flying towards it's direction. It didn't take her long to get close, landing behind a taller wall and crouching down so that the other saiyan couldn't see her. She pressed the button on her scouter again, picking up his power level as much lower than the one that had attacked her. She breathed a low sigh of relief and then leaned up to take a peek at whom it was.
He definitely was not 100% saiyan... for starters he had no tail, his skin looked slightly off colored and he had... scales? That's definitely what they looked like... Her eyes narrowed on the man as she kept a close watch on him. What was he exactly? He smelled like a saiyan, but looked just enough like one to confuse her. Maybe she would just keep an eye on him for now and see what it was he was really up too... ------------------ Word Count: 420

Manesco stood among the debris and ruins of the ancient ruins, admiring the almost serene beauty that lurked in the devastated landscape around him. The peaceful ambiance wasn't the only reason he had come here however, they were a good way for him to train in ways most other Saiyans might not think of. Primarily because they could fly and hardly needed to worry about traversing the environment. For one reason or another, Nesco couldn't control his Ki well enough to learn such a handy trick, and as such trained under the probability that he might never master the flight technique most others knew. The ruins were the perfect playground for adaptation. Learning to adjust and experiment with how he interacted with the terrain taught him useful methods not just for travel, but even for combat or similar tactical situations. With a destination in mind he breathed deeply a few times, as his weight shifted from foot to foot. He was wearing cloth pants with his usual pair of all-purpose military style boots, and had chosen to go without his armor so that he'd feel his mistakes and learn from them. This particular part of the ruins he had mapped out reasonably well in his head, and had learned a few different routes to get to his set goal point. This time around however, he was testing an experimental route. Counting down in his head his body shifted into a ready position, and a few seconds later he erupted into movement. Maintaining speed and constant momentum was a key to how he trained himself, it kept his reactions sharp and his all-round awareness on it's mark. Dashing forwards Manesco ran up the side of a tilted part of a broken wall, maintaining his balance as he ran along it's edge and then leaped up to a ledge above him. Running along the lip of the open faced building he continued until he had reached a ruined decorative archway that was set up in the middle of the street, from there he jumped the gap between the floor he was on and the arch. Landing along the crumbled edge, he held his forward momentum to prevent sliding backward. Then, before Nesco had crossed the whole distance, he turned and leaped towards a small outcropping stemming out from the building, it was positioned at about the same height as the archway. But it was further away than he had guessed and instead of landing on it, he plowed into it shoulder first, which subsequently sent him spinning to the ground below him. Oh crap. Dedicated to his rule of momentum he rotated his body so that he could roll out of his crash landing and be back up on his feet, but the diverted energy from his landing turned forwards sent him sprawling off balance and crashing head over heels into a pile of debris nearby. Manesco took a moment to catch his breath and determine if anything was injured. Everything felt fine, which was expected, he'd taken worse crashes than that one. Rotating his shoulder to confirm function, he looked towards the roof of the building he'd started at the base of. It was several stories up, and most paths to it were ruined sprawls and deathtraps waiting to happen, but that was his destination. Unfortunately it looked like he'd have to make some adjustments to that route in his head. It was by no means his most efficient path, but it let him practice more free-form adaptation. After standing and dusting himself off, Nesco prepared for round twelve. He'd been there for a while today.

Tomoroko watched this strange man closely, her eyes following his movements through every step of his free run. She found it interesting... it was definitely a good way to build up stamina while forcing oneself not to rely on their power of flight. Whenever Manesco began to get too far out of eyesight, she would take to the air, hiding behind one building after another as she watched him move. She found herself to be quite impressed by the way he handled himself, able to see how he could also use those moves during combat.
"He's definitely an interesting one... not who I thought I'd run into out here..." Tomoroko whispered to herself softly as she soon perched herself on top of the building just behind Manesco. As he leaped from an archway to another building, she could see the slightest step of his foot as he misjudged his distance. She winced as the man went crashing into the opposit building, hitting it first with his shoulder before tumbling down to the ground. She flew up on top of the archway he had just taken off from, looking down at him as he attempted to recover. He failed miserably at it as he went tumbling into a pile of debris, causing Tomoroko to laugh out loudly at the man, bringing her hand up to cover her mouth as she hadn't intended to laugh quite so loudly.
"You know... haha... if you had just focused your energy.... to fly you... haha wouldn't of crashed so hard." She called down to him, a smirk playing her features whenever she wasn't chuckling at the other man. He was definitely interesting to watch, and if she could determine if he truly was half saiyan, then maybe she could push him just enough to really make his training intense.. -------- Word count: 304

With a grimace of irritation Manesco looked up towards the source of laughter, where he spotted a young woman quite clearly a Saiyan watching from the archway. As she grinned down at him - between fits of laughter - he could only feel his irritation deepen, but as she offered her obviously well intended advice about flight, his irritation shifted to embarrassment. Nesco averted his eyes and muttered under his breath about how that was easy for her to say, but let out a sigh and replied calmly. "You may be right, I probably could've lessened the impact... if I could fly." He turned to face her again, his arms crossed over his chest, still slightly covered in the dirt and dust of the ruins. "Sometimes a Saiyan has no control over the genetics he possesses." His faintly luminescent eyes stared her down, the pride and acceptance of who or what he was, clearly visible. "That's why I train. To make use of what I have, to build upon the skills I do possess, and to excel at them. I don't know if I'll ever fly, but I'll be damn sure I don't let it control me."Almost as if to prove his point, Nesco leaped up towards the nearest wall and vaulted himself up a level. Then, using an open window as a foot hold, jumped up again, and caught the edge of the ruined second story. He pulled himself up effortlessly and turned to face the newcomer, now on the same height level as her, no longer looking down on him. He walked slowly along the edge as he spoke again, occasionally kicking debris down into the street below.
"I know my weaknesses, and I train to surpass them. That's just the kind of individual I am." He smirked back at her now, truth be told, he couldn't necessarily say that his fall wouldn't have been entertaining from someone else's perspective.

'Saiyan hunh? Well, at least he's half saiyan... like Etoru I guess... but this guy's a lot weaker than him... why... what made him so much stronger? Is there something with these halfbreeds we don't know about?' Tomoroko thought to herself as she looked down at the half blooded saiyan as he looked up at her for just a moment before pulling his gaze away. He admitted to his inability to fly, which in all honesty wasn't that strange to her. She knew a few people now that couldn't do it. However, he blamed it on genetics, and she shook her head no at that.
"Don't blame your genetics, anyone with the ability to manipulate Ki in any way can learn to fly eventually. The power of flight is barely something that controls you. I can fly, that doesn't mean I'm any less agile on the ground." She stated matter of factly, watching him jump and flip his way up to a more even level to her. Whenever he landed back on the archway where she was sitting, she pushed her feet off the edge, and used her arms to propel herself backwards, flipping up and turning so that she landed on her feet.
"Everyone should train to over-come their weaknesses. That's just the way of the warrior. Frankly though... I don't know if you have it in you... I've seen plenty of half breed saiyans able to do much better then that. What do you say we have a little bit of a contest, see just how good you really are. First one to reach the outer limit of the Destron Craigs is the winner. No flying." She promised as she brought her right arm up, looping her left arm underneath it as she stretched it out, then doing the same with her left arm. She then proceeded to hop in place before stretching her legs a little bit, waiting to hear if the other man accepted her offer.

While he wasn't particularly fond of the lecture the newcomer was giving him, Manesco maintained a polite demeanor and listened to her casually as he approached the archway. She spoke of genetics as if she knew what it would be like, but realistically there's no way this woman could be sure. It wasn't like he hadn't tried to learn how to fly, but no matter how hard he trained, he couldn't maintain the subtle and precise control of smooth flowing Ki properly. Then again, it was true that his theory about it being genetic was just a hypothesis, he had no evidence for the theory either. As he finished the thought, Manesco leaped across to land on the archway next to the woman, and watched as she rotated her body and ended back up on her feet in an agile maneuver. She seemed to be physically capable at least, based on that movement itself, but the extent was unknown. When she challenged him to a foot race, he felt a smirk tug at the sides of his face before it grew further into a grin. Sure, a good challenge could only further his training. Nesco watched as she limbered up without even waiting for him to respond, clearly used to the fact that most Saiyans - himself included - couldn't resist when someone challenged them. "Alright, you've got yourself a race." With one last rotation of his shoulder Manesco readied himself for her signal. "Just don't underestimate me." There was no question he was good on the ground, as he had several years experience trying to work with the skills he possessed to overcome the weaknesses he had. The real questions would be, what level of skill did his opponent possess? How difficult would this challenge be, and how could he use it to improve?

Tomo knew she would have to hold back, there would be absolutely no fun if she just went all out and won their race before Manesco could even cross a quarter of the distance to the Craigs. She listened to his owrds before crouching down as if she was about ready to run a marathon. She looked quite silly in her position, almost as if she didn't truly know what she was doing as he stance was off... but this stance she had learned a long long time ago, and was meant to better manoever in this kind of terrain.
"I would never think of under-estimating you. I'm too focused on showing you up" She teased him further before looking ahead of her with a giant grin on her young face.
"Alright, ready? Go!" She decided to forego the countdown, instead she immediately pushed off of the ruin with her right leg, lunching forwards as her body plummeted down towards the ground. She began straightening up mid fall, then landed gracefully on the ground before she continued her run. She quickly reached where the ledge would have been if Manesco hadn't destroyed the wall and leaped onto the debris. She would hop left and right on the debris, quickly scanning the most solid parts of the structure before disappearing behind it, only to re-appear again as she hopped up onto one of the sides of the buildings. She could have easily flown to the top, but true to her word she began to use lose bricks to help propel herself up to the top. ----------- Word count: 264
