Notes: -This topic is also used with x70 gravity, flavored as the air around Avalon being corrupted due to the explosion of the hovercraft technology that kept the island afloat. If that's a problem, please let me know-
Prologue:
When was it that this tragic chapter unfolded in that particular tale? Ah right, it was around the same time one of Earth's most powerful guardians had gone rogue after an ancient virus infected him. While the chaos in North City was raging the floating island of Avalon seemed unaffected by the events that were unfolding. Indeed, within the city on top of the island life continued as normally. Although some of the KAOS troops and several knights had rallied to help defend North City, a majority of the knights and the KAOS troops stationed at the island had remained to ensure that the island they had helped build would remain free of the chaos and suffering that conflicts tended to bring with them. Some even speculated that even the corrupted Vipoi knew not to attack Avalon, for the consequences it would have would be incredibly grim. Nevertheless, on this particular day it seemed one being didn't care about that at all.
On the outskirts of the city a little girl was chasing a puppy, excited cries coming from the child when she suddenly saw the dog stop in its tracks and bark several times toward a shadow that was up ahead. As the girl reached her canine companion the child saw a tall and slender-build being standing several paces before her. It was a humanoid, albeit clearly it was an alien judging from her features. To describe her as simply as possible one could have said she resembled an unusual crossing of a female human in facial features, and the general outline of her body but possessed a more insect-like touch to her features. A tough carapace covered her body, and a crown-like piece of it rested on top of her head. The creature gazed down at the duo, her obsidian-colored carapace having an eerie glint to it as the dog barked and snarled threateningly.
"W-What's wrong Rufus?"
However, instead of a proper response the dog barked even harder, as if it was trying to tell her something. A sudden step forwards from the bio-android caused the child to step backwards, feeling instinctively threatened by this being's presence. It felt as if this creature could easily kill her with a simple glance, and she wouldn't be that wrong about that thought.
"You're loud..."
A feminine voice mumbled those words in an annoyed tone, and yet when the dog barked once more something unbelievable happened. The bio-android raised her leg, bending it just a little forwards to hover above the puppy's back, and before it could finish its series of barks she slammed her heel down into its body, causing it to be send crashing into the ground with a loud cry. The puppy released several pained noises, as if it was trying to tell the girl something.
"Don't b-bully Rufus!"
The child's brave shout caused the bio-android to look at her with a hint of curiosity in her eyes. That was a human child, and yet she lacked the potential her sister had. In the end it was a boring and weaker life-form, insignificant and meant to be disposable like an insect. With a loud exaggerated sigh the Bio-android raised a hand toward the child, and expelling the smallest amount of ki into an invisible blast of air was enough to knock her several steps backwards onto the grass. Even more amusing was how the attack seemed to had caused to get the girl teary-eyed.
"How amusing, to think a mere child has the guts to stand up against-"
However, before she had been able to finish her sentence the bio-android felt a light sting in her foot, a gaze downwards revealing that the little puppy had tried to bite into her foot, of course being incapable of penetrating the carapace covering her body. Such defiance! it amused her, and it would serve to give the little puppy a fair treatment. If the puppy desired to die a hero's death, then she would give it to him. Then again, maybe she could just use the puppy to scare the hell out of this child? With a nimble shift of her footing she tossed the puppy's body into the air, raising one of her hands upwards into the air before making a clean severing motion with her hand, the sickly sound of flesh tearing being heard before a scream pierced the fresh morning air of the island.
The child's face had turned a ghostly pale color as her obsidian carapace had been stained red with bits of blood, and at the child's feet the cleanly severed head of the puppy rolled to a halt. The child staggered onto her feet, tears flowing down her cheeks as she picked up the head and looked with a mixture of anger and dread at her, causing the bio-android to exclaim cheerfully.
"Go ahead and run little one... Go and call forth your guardians!"
And with those words the child ran, as swiftly as possible into the direction of the city. Little could anyone have known that on that particular day that puppy's sacrifice would be the first of many that would end up being made. It took only several minutes before the child reached her home at the outskirts of the city. Although she ran into the backdoor of her house, the child's screams were quick to alert her parents.
"What's the matter dear---- Drawe come quickly!"
The child's mother had almost screamed out at the sight of the puppy's severed head in her daughter's hands, and when her father arrived downstairs the nightmare began.
"R-Rufus?! Who did this to your dog darling? I'll skin them alive!"
The child trembled visibly as she pointed outside the window, a bright light shining inside and when her parents came to look at the window...
A small ominously glowing crimson-tinted sphere that rested above the outstretched hand of the bio-android, who with a mischievous smirk declared.
"Those weren't the guardians I sought, better luck next time I guess..."
The sphere was tossed downwards, seemingly heading toward the direction of the house, and after crashing into the window detonated into a fiery explosion that consumed the entire house, causing the bio-android to laugh maniacally.
"At least you didn't stay separated from your puppy longer than a few minutes!"

Chapter 1: KAOS versus Chaos
The fiery inferno that briefly raged as the energy projectile exploded within the building was brief, but an eerie sight to behold. The bio-android continued to laugh as the flames settled down, leaving only a collapsed collection of debris in its wake. Screams came from the ground below her, various citizen of the island, insignificant bugs running away in fear, thinking that enlarging the distance between themselves and the predator chasing them would save them. The fools, if only they realized there was no escaping this predator unless she permitted it! However, her curiosity was quickly drawn to a swarm of energy sources she could detect. It was curious but she could sense various individuals approaching her, and while their power levels were modest compared to the power her sister radiated the bio-android couldn't help but find herself intrigued. It was unusual of humans, or Earthlings in general to have such a power level. If she was to follow the tradition of placing them in numbers she estimated each individual to be roughly around ten to twenty thousand in strength. To have such a power upon this planet was a pretty great accomplishment, and perhaps she would reward them for it.
The armored soldiers that rushed toward her were the brave men and women of the Blue Banner Army, specialized soldiers known as KAOS. They specialized in dealing with powerful and dangerous threats, as they had shown during their heroic actions during the events that unfolded at West Capitol. Those particular soldiers were KAOS troops that had volunteered to stay at Avalon, some because of their fondness for the peaceful island, others because they wanted to raise their family on the island. However, most of them also shared a deeply ingrained affection for the girl who had once been known as the idol of the Blue Banner Army: Reikiko.
"Surrender at once and you'll be given a chance to represent yourself in court!"
One of the younger soldiers had declared those words boldly as the swarm of KAOS troops came to a halt, seemingly swarming all around the bio-android as if they had entrapped her in a bee swarm. The words that were spoken caused the bio-android to laugh briefly before shaking her head in response. Such an old-fashioned statement that founded like it came straight from a comic book wasn't going to work on her!
"Hah! Surely you jest. Surrendering is for the weak, how about I provide you an alternative: Find my sister Reikiko and bring her before me, I might spare your island if you carry out this task in a timely manner."
Several of the veteran troops glared at the bio-android. There was no way they would listen to the demands of some nameless monster who wanted them to hand over one of the members of their community!
"The people of Avalon are a family to each other, and not a single one of us would think about betraying one of our own! Especially not our Reikiko! I won't allow you to destroy that smile, nor the things that make her smile!"
The veteran who had spoken shouted in anger, a comment that many shared and clearly the tension in the air was growing stronger by the second. It would likely take only a bit longer until a fight would break out, and indeed... Just like one might had expected it did!
"Guess I'll have to be a bit more forceful in my demands. Perhaps I can draw her out of hiding if I kill the precious guardians of her home."
The Bio-android rushed in a bee-line toward the veteran who had spoken to her earlier, the rallying effect of his words making her believe he was likely a leader figure of sorts. Of course tactical thinking made her believe this man would be a key in breaking the swarm's moral, and crushing him would surely make them panic. However, despite her having gone easy on him by merely swinging her fist into a punch at his face, she had to admit she was surprised the man was able to guard against her blow. The fact he had only been send several paces backwards, even when using both of his arms to defend made her realize she shouldn't get too soft on them.
"Captain!"
Some of the armored soldiers rushed from her side, around four at each side darted toward her, the boosters at the back of their suits causing them to propel faster than normally, but clearly not fast enough for the artificial warrior. The bio-android easily slid backwards to avoid the first attack that was punched her way, and a series of sweeping kicks from her pursuers were easily deflected before she decided to retaliate. The first KAOS soldier found himself on the receiving end of an axe-kick after she had avoided his attack, sending the man crashing into the debris of the building she had destroyed moments earlier. The second soldier, who roared in anger at the harm inflicted onto his friend prepared to raise a weapon, some sort of machine but before he could fire it the bio-android raised a hand, a spark of energy appearing at the tip of the finger she had raised into his direction, when a moment later a highly condensed beam of energy rushed straight at the soldier, the armored warrior feeling the front of his armor pierced, going straight through his chest and leaving again out of his back. A gasp came from him, bits of blood hitting the front window of his helmet when the last thing he heard was his leader's voice shouting:
"Call the medics, squad C withdraw our wounded, all other squads ATTACK!"
Of course the battle that followed afterwards was a simple bloodbath. It took less than an hour, but by the end of the battle the district was leveled into a war-zone of burning buildings, debris and a sea of corpses. There was only one survivor among them, the veteran warrior from before who could only stare in horror. Avalon, the beautiful island of Avalon... their paradise was being annihilated.
"Who.... What type of monster are you?!"
The man shouted in anger, and despite his armored suit warning that the energy of his was running dangerously low he grasped a hold of the large knife attached to the holster on his leg and swung it toward the grinning fiend before him. Of course it was useless, for he found his knife knocked out of the hand by a brutal slap of the woman's tail, and a moment later a hand wrapped around his throat, her grip so strong it seemed to tear into the suit.
"Me? I'm a Bio-android, and I'm simply a lonely girl who is offended by having her sister go on a vacation without her~ My name? It's Yuriko."
And a snap later the man's body turned motionless, tossed onto the ground like a ragged doll.
"Come now Reikiko! The time for games has ended!"

Chapter 2: How to kill a monster
An eerie silence lingered within the Millennium Hawk, despite the large royal spaceship nearing Earth's orbit Reikiko couldn't help but feel her concern about the safety of her home and the people who lived there. It had been several hours since they were last able to establish contact with the scientist who was hiding in the shelter at the deepest reaches of the island's internal works, and Hikari had just finished preparing a projection to help explain the upcoming battle with Reikiko's sister. It was a battle they couldn't go in unprepared, an even if Reikiko was to fight her sister on her own, she would need the assistance of at least Kaula or Hikari in hope of besting the opponent they had come to kill. The group was on the deck of the ship, and near a large projection screen Hikari was gesturing at the figures that were on display before them.
"As discussed before our opponent is the Bio-android Yuriko. Aside from being in possession of the same techniques as Reikiko, she also possesses an unknown assortment of techniques that have yet to be shown to us. On terms of a raw power level she would roughly classify as... slightly above six million. Currently our only means to defeat her is a team-based assault. It's for that reason our strategy will involve around a escort formation with Reikiko as our focus. If one of us gets separated in one way or another, try to ensure the following objectives are met: Your survival and for someone to remain at Reikiko's side. As long as either of us assists Reikiko in our Super Saiyan transformation our victory should be within reach. If you end up being injured, retreat to safety and help escorting the stragglers on the island. I want everyone of us to be able to return home! Miss Radasha, please try to assist with the evacuation, there might be some friends of your daughter that might need aid."
There it was, Earth came into view and while their spaceship steadily descended toward the planet's surface Reikiko couldn't help but shudder instinctively. She could feel it, the malicious presence of her sister, so close to her home. Even worse was that feeling of those countless souls being snuffed out, some of them belonging to people she even remembered from her personal interactions with them. Once the ship reached a suitable altitude and the group was ready Reikiko whispered under her breath.
"Alice, keep the ship secure, we got a sister to kill..."
It was rather easy to notice Reikiko's rage, her eyes narrowed into a glare while her energy level spiked upwards, a strong gust of wind blowing as her ki-generated wings beat strongly and with a powerful burst of speed she rushed forwards, barely able to contain herself from rushing ahead at a faster pace than her companions. She was glad she had two Super Saiyans by her side, in the end she seriously was worried about facing her sister in a battle to the death, especially knowing that the Bio-android has ascended into a perfect form.
From their current location it took several minutes before they reached the Western Frontiers, and when the island of Avalon came into view Reikiko couldn't help but sigh in relief as she saw several large shuttle leaving the island, a handful of armored KAOS soldiers and knights of Avalon escorting them. She could even sense the familiar presence of a certain Majin girl and her mother on one of the shuttles.
"Don't worry Kaula, Xi and Patsy-nee are among the people in that shuttle---"
However, while the group descended toward the shuttles things turned from bad into downright terrible. One of the knights spotted them, shouting something at his companions when suddenly excited cries came from the guardians.
"They came! I told you they would!" "Look, even Kaula is with them!" "What did you expect? She wouldn't let Avalon's little apple goddess come here by herself!" "Look, they even brought someone new with them! is that Kaula's sister? They do look alike..."
The knight that approached them briefly exchanged words with Hikari who frowned with a clear hint of concern in her eyes. According to the knight Yuriko had ceased her attack about two hours ago, disappearing from the surface of the island, and obviously the remaining guardians took this opportunity to evacuate everyone on the island who had survived the initial carnage. Nevertheless, where she disappeared to was unknown even to them. Hikari didn't like the sound of that, at all. Yuriko's psychological data didn't show any hints of cowardice, so it was very likely that this was... a trap.
It seemed it was a thought shared by Reikiko who rushed toward the island without saying a word, when at the same time those in the group with the ability to sense energy, or had a scouter on would notice an energy presence was building up to a peak of roughly three million.
"EVERYONE WATCH OUT!"
It was the only warning Hikari could give before the island detonated in a huge explosion, chunks of the island heading straight toward the shuttles, and while the purpose behind Reikiko's charge had been revealed, a powerful surge of energy escaping from her body as an obsidian-tinted barrier wrapped around the air. Chunk after chunk blasted against the barrier, causing the Homunculus to groan under the pressure, and when after several moments the rain of projectiles ended the Homunculus lowered her barrier, panting from the exhaustion of protecting so many people during the attack.
"There-There were people inside! I sensed their souls the moment you killed them... YURIKO!"
A almost feral roar escaped from Reikiko's lips when from amidst the floating rumble and debris, seemingly kept in a static case of levitation due to the energy that was wrapping around it, the sight of the bio-android grinning at her from amidst the destroyed core of the island filled her with pure rage.
"You never were good at playing a wizard Reikiko. Never too early, always too late. And now you'll also be too late to save your friends from my little companions!"
The Homunculus turned her head sideways, and to her fear she saw the one thing neither she or Hikari had thought of. Flying from a small distance away was a small swarm of child-like versions of the Bio-android, one of the wicked abilities of a Bio-android to create her own spawn!
"The Kaos troops won't be enough to stop all of them..."
However, it seemed that when the swarm of the Yuriko jrs headed for one of the shuttle their friends were on, Kaula rushed in a bee-line toward them, disappearing from the group while Radasha chased after her. Good, at least Kaula would be safe from Yuriko for a bit longer then. Yet, it seemed not only Reikiko was angered by this sinful display of spite that Yuriko shown.
"You... you destroyed our friends.... our home... just to spite your own sister? I HAD ENOUGH OF YOU!"
The Homunculus could feel Hikari's aura spiking upwards, her usually blue-colored ki turning into a pure golden color while her hair slowly spiked upwards, and the teal-colored eyes of the hybrid glared with hatred at the Bio-android. To see the usual calm and gentle Hikari turn into such a furious embodiment of anger and hatred... the destruction of their home was one crime that Yuriko would soon come to regret!

Chapter 3: Fall of a dark angel, rise of a golden warrior
The first one to make the opening to their duel was surprisingly enough not Reikiko, but Hikari who in all her rage lashed forwards, heading in a bee-line toward the bio-android. Of course Yuriko expected this, she even welcomed it, but to her surprise it seemed Reikiko had decided to join in on the attack right away, raising her hands upwards to allow her ki to channel into a large sphere of energy before she shouted.
"SOLAR FLARE!"
The flash of light that came was akin to a gigantic flash-bang grenade being detonated, blinding the Bio-android who instinctively raised her arms to deflect the upcoming attack from the Super Saiyan. However, instead of the expected attack Hikari had disappeared from sight, a blurring after-image left in her wake as she reappeared behind the bio-android, a sweeping kick of her leg crashing into the bio-android's back. The kick contained plenty of power, enough to send the bio-android flying forwards while Reikiko darted toward her foe, her arm swinging forwards while her hand balded up into a fist, intending to send it crashing into the gut of the bio-android. However, instead of the expected attack colliding against Yuriko she found her fist being grasped mid-swing, and with a malicious grin the bio-android headbutted Reikiko, causing the Homunculus to let out a pained cry as she raised her other arm, slamming her remaining fist into the side of the Bio-android's head.
"Hah! Is that the limit of your power Reikiko? Your rage barely stings me!"
The Bio-android grinned smugly when suddenly a series of explosions detonated into her back, causing her to stagger and release her grip on Reikiko. That pesky Saiyan was still there? Perhaps she should teach her a lesson! With a rapid dash the bio-android headed upwards, breaking the distance between herself and Hikari in a matter of moments, and while the two of them exchanged a flurry of blows Reikiko joined into the offensive. Despite the two of them landing several clean hits onto the bio-android it seemed they did little to harm her properly, and their exchange of fists and kicks was brutally interrupted when a tail-slap send Hikari flying backwards through the air, and Reikiko's angered knee-strike into the Bio-android's chest was only met with a loud exaggerated sigh from Yuriko who after a quick jab at Reikiko's throat caused the Homunculus to kick and flail against the Bio-android who only tightened her grip around Reikiko's throat while she asked with a hint of amusement.
"You were meant to be greater than this Reikiko. The only one of us to be truly favored by our father. Yet you abandoned your true nature for the weakness known as humanity!"
A fist landed in Reikiko's stomach, the series of punches that were made causing her to let out several cries, the sharp pain as she felt that with each strike the sound of her bones breaking accompanied the burning hatred she felt toward this monster. It seemed it was a hatred that Hikari felt also for the bio-android spotted her ki surging violently, and it brought her onto a rather wicked idea. Leaning to whisper into Reikiko's ear, the words that followed were the prelude to the horror she was about to witness.
"Maybe I'll kill your hope first while her power shines the brightest."
With a toss of her hand Yuriko knocked Reikiko down toward the ground, her hands forming up into a familiar triangle-shaped formation.
"Ki..."
She had to move! If that attack hit her she was going to be done for! Yet no matter how much she struggled, her body refused to even move a single muscle. and it wasn't just from the damage, she felt that something was robbing her of the ability to move. Did one of those strikes of her sister end up being laced with poison?!
"Ko..."
No... it was to late, she had to warn Hikari! To tell her to get Kaula and Radasha and get the hell out of Earth! It was a hopeless battle! Why did she even think that she could beat her sister with the advantage of numbers? As if attempting to make a defiant last stand the Homunculus shouted at the top of her lungs.
"RUN HIKARI!"
Yet it was too late. The energy that had started to pour out of her sister's body had steadily gathered in the space between her hands, and a moment later her voice boomed through the air.
"HO!"
The Kikoho rushed down toward Reikiko, who felt the overwhelming power of the attack send her crashing into the ground below, and with a painful crash she fell into the barren wasteland beneath the battlefield. Her body was scorched, her mind steadily slipping away and while her power was doing all in its might to recover from the damage inflicted on her she couldn't help but wonder: Why the hell was she still alive? There was only one possible reason: Yuriko wanted her to witness a horror even greater than her own death... Her heart-beat was weakening, and her energy steadily slipping away. She could see Hikari rushing down to her side, and yet even when she tried to say something she couldn't... Her body was too damaged to speak, let stand even move.
"Don't.... DON'T TOUCH MY REIKIKO!"
The hybrid screamed at the top of her lungs, the golden aura starting to spark fiercely around her body, and before Yuriko could even properly register the change in her opponent, Hikari had reappeared behind the bio-android, hands lifted upwards into the air as a ki sphere started to spin above her, and with a sweep she thrust it down into the back of her enemy, making the Bio-android be send reeling forwards, the ki attack actually making her carapace crack beneath the pressure.
"HAHAHAHAHA! That's it!"
Yuriko's wicked laughter accompanied a sudden burst of energy that blasted the hybrid backwards, and while her eyes narrowed into a predator-like stare she exclaimed gleefully.
"To think you would surpass my sister... now you are worthy of being killed by me!"
Did... Hikari just ascend even higher while consumed by her rage? But... it would only serve to provoke her sister into killing her! why couldn't she have run?!

Chapter 4: The price of overconfidence
To Reikiko the act of being powerless to help Hikari was a nightmare. Although her heart was screaming for her to get up and join the fight, the Homunculus felt her body still refused any command it was given. Up in the sky above her Hikari was engaged in a brutal clash with the bio-android, each lunge of the hybrid sending a violent gust of wind into the direction she punched or kicked. And yet, even despite all that effort Hikari's attacks seemed to lack the finishing power to defeat Yuriko. The Homunculus her sister had just been send reeling backwards from a punch to the face that had been packed with a surprising amount of strength, and while her body shifted back into a neutral pose she looked with a hint of excitement as the Super Saiyan pulled a hand to each side of her body.
"Ka..." "Ka..."
It was a familiar move to Yuriko, one that she had mastered herself and as if to taunt her opponent she started to make the proper motions to mimic her opponent. While Hikari had learned the ki beam through observing several records of the Turtle Hermit's attacks during the events at West Capitol, the bio-android herself actually possessed the genes of an ancient martial arts practitioner who possessed that technique. The moment they pulled their body slightly backwards, the hands moving slightly forwards to in front of them.
"Me..." "Me..."
The moment their hands were pulled backwards, a blue-colored sphere of energy started to pulse and glow into existence, dramatically flashing with the violently burning energy. The ki that had started to gather was starting to influence the very air around the two of them, their auras sparking with jolts of electricity as the ki surged recklessly around them. This was about to become a deathly clash...
"Ha...me..." "Ha...me..."
The sphere had started to grow so large it almost pushed their hands away from each other, and Hikari's glaring expression told Yuriko enough. That woman was preparing to settle it with this attack, this technique that would possibly devastate one of them. In the meanwhile Reikiko felt the energy within her body slowly returning, and preparing to use this opportunity to her advantage the Homunculus raised her hands upwards into the air.
"Ki-"
Her aura flared lightly around her body, much smaller than normally, likely a sign her strength still had yet to return properly. Still, for a moment she could have sworn she felt a nostalgic presence. Perhaps it was her imagination but she could have sworn she felt her master's presence resound from within her, the aura burning slightly more brightly, and as if her mind had drawn forth from the comfort of the idea she was being aided a shimmering image of her master appeared beside her, a hand resting on her raised arms.
You can do it Rei!
"Ko-"
At the same time the obsidian energy of her body started to channel into her hands the sound of a loud 'HA!' shout accompanied a violent rush of energy, and looking forwards Reikiko could see that Hikari had just launched her Kamehameha wave at the bio-android, who had met the beam attack with her own mimicked version. The two beams pushed against each other, and despite the fact they seemed to be equal on the surface, a narrow look at the struggle shown that the energy was steadily drifting back toward Hikari, threatening to overwhelm her attack. She was about to be defeated!
"HO!"
the beam rushed head-on toward the Bio-android's back, who found herself trapped within the pincer-attack, and while the Kikoho burned into her back, the attack doing enough to make her stagger, the struggling power of the Kamehameha from Hikari had regained its strength, blasting in a straight line toward Yuriko whose body soon became consumed in the fiery rays of their two attacks, that finally led into a detonation that obliterated the ki presence of her sister. While the dust cloud still raged she could see Hikari rapidly move beyond it, seemingly heading her way and while she approached her the hybrid asked concernedly.
"Rei, are you alright?"
However, when the Homunculus was about to reply her eyes widened in a look of disbelief. A shadow emerged from the dust cloud behind Hikari, and before the hybrid could turn around the sickening sound of flesh being pierced could be heard, and a moment later the sight of a splash of blood coming from Hikari's back, causing the hybrid's transformation to be negated and with a loud thud she collapsed forwards onto the ground.
"Never turn your back at me..."
For the first time Yuriko's voice contained a hint of seriousness in it, her tail seemingly sweeping back as she looked with a hint of amusement as Reikiko seemed to had abandoned any sense of her own safety to rush to her companion's side. At least she would grant Reikiko the chance to spend the last moments of her companion's life by her side. It would make her terror taste even sweeter!
"HIKARI!"
The Homunculus rushed to the woman's side, kneeling down beside her and while her hands glowed with an eerie black light, attempting to close the wound and mend the internal injuries of the hybrid the words that followed made her realize the harsh realize.
"I pierced her heart with my venom, at best she has a few minutes to live... spend them wisely!"
And amidst Yuriko's maniacal laughter Reikiko could only curse her helplessness as Hikari tried to say something. the whisper barely audible as the Homunculus leaned closer, tears rolling down her cheeks. Was this the end? Was she about to lose everything she held dear to her, simply because she lacked the strength to kill her sister?
...
Her body trembled visibly, the nightmarish experience of feeling the body of a loved one growing cold in her arms reemerging within her memories. This was the same thing that had happened to Tamako. Was this the cursed fate that awaited her? Losing all she held dear because of her inferior strength?

Chapter 5: A dark blessing
Was this the end? Was this the way her story was about to end? Being unable to avenge her master, being forced to lose her home and now her beloved ones? Despite her desperate attempts to heal the injuries of the hybrid, she could feel Hikari's life slowly slipping through her hands, the poison that the bio-android had injected into her slowly taking effect. Although Yuriko had given her the opportunity to spend those last minutes beside Hikari, she could feel her sorrow blending with hatred as the bio-android looked down at her with a mischievous grin, as if she had been aware she just destroyed something, or in this case killed someone precious to her. It was during the moment that Hikari whispered something that time seemed to grind to a halt for her. It first begun with a familiar voice, one that whispered within her ear in a soft and pleasantly gentle tone.
Is this the way you want it to end?
It took only a moment for Reikiko to register the owner of the voice: The ancient presence that slumbered within her, the originator of the Homunculi and the woman whose genetic material was used to create her: Reinforce. Of course she didn't want to let it end like this, but what could she do?! It wasn't like Yuriko was an opponent she could beat, and yet at the same time she could have sworn that her consciousness had briefly drifted into her own mind, allowing her to stand face to face with the ancient being.
"But what can I do?! This is an opponent that is way beyond my league!"
The ancient Homunculus chuckled softly, slowly stepping forwards and while she leaned forwards, hands folding up behind her back as she assumed a rather carefree and playful pose the woman known as Reinforce replied, asking a question with a hint of amusement in her tone.
Has that ever stopped you? When you fought her the first time at the site of your master's death you were ready to die for the sake of avenging her. Did being weaker than others stop you from killing that Supah Saiyajin during the battle where you tapped into your hidden powers for the first time ever? You always were aware of the risks and consequences, but you never allowed anyone to stop you from doing what you desired. You who were willing to do anything for power, tell me: why do you hesitate to use your greatest gift?
Reikiko couldn't help but give a pained look at those words. She knew what Reinforce was talking about. She possessed a gift, an ability that would likely grant her the means to challenge her sister. However, that power wasn't just a technique... it was a covenant with the darkness. A pact that would allow her to tap into the dark powers of the Homunculi their lineage, but it would twist her into becoming something 'else'. She knew the origins of that power...
That's right, the Blessing of the Dark Goddess is the one gift bestowed upon us by our mother. A fragment of her power as a Makaioshin. While it's a blessing we can give, the potential power is wasted on anyone but one who possesses the twisted blood that runs through our line. I won't deceive you by saying that everything will be fine: But at this point. Are you truly willing to forsaken all, even if you still got a potential ace in your sleeve?
Was this the price she was going to be forced to pay? To defeat her sister, to avenge the death of her beloved companion and her late master... Would she have to forsaken the humanity she clung so dearly at and become a monster? Surely Hikari wouldn't have wanted to see her become such a creature, a fiend of darkness. Yet if she didn't act now Yuriko would kill her, and likely grant Kaula the same fate shortly afterwards.
"D-Don't let her... get away with this."
The words that were whispered by Hikari caused Reikiko to look at her in disbelief. Those eyes suggested she knew what Reikiko was struggling with. Eyes that told her that no matter what she did, she would accept it without any questioning. Even if she became a monster... she would still remain Reikiko. It were the last words spoken by the hybrid as her eyes closed themselves and her breathing ceased. Whether it were those words, or the realization that she had been unable to save another person, one she could have saved if she had been stronger that caused 'something'...
The air started to grow chilly, as if the very warmth was being drained from it. The Homunculus slowly rose onto her feet, causing Yuriko to take a step backwards, a smirk still on her lips as if she was admiring the spectacle she had created by killing her opponent. She had enough... The rules she had put into place for herself had led to a loss like Hikari's death. The desire to retain a sense of humanity, to resemble them rather than a monstrous alien had caused her to be chained by that human fragility. Her weakness had caused her so much suffering, but above all... she would be willing to let the darkness consume her if it meant the death of the monster that caused this.
Her obsidian aura started to seep outwards into a visible aura, but unlike before it flared almost drastically stronger, burning so strongly it pushed the bio-android backwards slightly. Reikiko's power level was rising, and it was rising steadily to her peak. Was she going to defiantly try to delay the inevitable? The way she was right now made it clear she wouldn't be able to defeat a bio-android like her. But what was this ominous feeling... It was as if a dark presence stirred within the rising aura, and then it began.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
A loud scream followed as the Homunculus raised her hands to her head, trembling in a mixture of pain and anger as the energy flowing through her body became so intense her wings burst free into their full length, and aside from the ki aura it seemed a secondary, faintly noticeable purple tint was wrapping around her aura, as if a different power was flowing through her.
"I don't care about the price they demand of me..."
Even if they would take her body and soul, if they would consume everything she represented. As long as she could obtain the power she desired it was fine. She could feel it, almost see it even. The sight of Reinforce encouraging her to break the taboo, to go beyond the light and step into the darkness of the abyss.
"AS LONG AS IT ALLOWS ME TO KILL YOU!"
A roar escaped the Homunculus her lips as her wings shattered and the dark aura that flown around them had started to grow solid, a cocoon of dark threads wrapping around her body, soon covering her entire body into a sphere of energy. Yuriko couldn't help but find her body shivering lightly in excitement at the sensation of her sister's manifested wrath. It was as if gravity itself was being distorted in the place they stood in, growing heavier and colder by the moment and then it happened. A loud shout accompanied a burst of wind that threatened to blow the bio-android almost backwards, the sphere shattering into tiny fragments as an unexpected figure reemerged from within. The tall figure clad in the white armor-like carapace... the azure-colored eyes that glared at her with pure malice in them and the tail that threateningly swept back and forth behind her... There was no mistaking this person, especially not when she spread her wings and lifted her body into the air, declaring with a tone that was as cold as ice and laced with such poisonous hatred it could only belong to one person.
"This is the last time you took something away from me sister!"
It was the bio-android form of Reikiko...
--- Short explanation: In this post Reikiko unlocked her x25, that has two different looks depending on the following: If used regularly Reikiko will resemble her human-like Homunculus appearance If used while under the influence of 'Dark Blessing' (Blessing of the Dark Goddess) Reikiko will submit to her inner-darkness and be temporarily corrupted into a monstrous (bio-android) form while in her transformation.

Chapter 6: An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth and... evil for evil
It was a rather unexpected change, and while it was debatable whether it was the transformation or the actual increase in speed from it, Yuriko was too late in getting her guard up to defend against the approaching attack from Reikiko. The Homunculus lashed forwards, her three fingers curled up into the same shape as a human fist that crashed into the cheek of the bio-android. The impact of the attack was surprisingly devastating, to the point that the gust of wind that blown from the point of impact caused the ground beneath them to crack lightly, and the bio-android was send flying several meters through the air before she recovered mid-air.
"Don't get cocky!"
Yuriko shouted in anger, tossing several sphere-shaped ki projectiles in rapid succession into her direction. She could likely had dodged those attacks, maybe even deflected them but there was the risk that one of those projectiles would possibly hit Hikari's body. She couldn't permit such a thing from happening. The Homunculus stepped forwards, raising a single hand into the air before her ki started to surge violently. The obsidian energy visibly poured outwards into a wall-shaped barrier that stood defiantly against the projectiles barrage, and when the last one among them made the barrier crack lightly the bio-android saw her opportunity, rushing toward the black wall and with a swift blast tore through the remaining defense, intending to get a surprise attack on Reikiko.
Unfortunately for her sister Reikiko was more than prepared, for the moment her barrier broke her body had already dropped into an offensive stance and the first punch that was lunged her way was easily dodged by a sidestep, her own knee striking the bio-android's gut, and while her sister staggered backwards from the hit Reikiko prepared to slam her fist into the chest of her sister. However, this time Yuriko had prepared to retaliate, grunting under her breath from the pain of the attack while she swung her arm, the fist colliding against the Homunculus's face who from the sheer pressure of the attack felt herself stumbling backwards, her sister taking the opportunity to land a barrage of swift punches before a finishing attack of the flurry of blows send the Homunculus crashing backwards into the ground. Although she could taste her own blood, wiping it from her lips as she climbed back onto her feet Reikiko was far from done. She would never be finished until Yuriko was obliterated!
Sensing the momentary exposure of her defense Yuriko charged forwards, the pouncing motion reminding one of a predator the tail that swept through the air looked like it was about to be faster than Reikiko's defense, when curiously enough the bio-android's stinger seemed to pierce through Reikiko's body entirely, the Homunculus shimmering in and out of existence.
"An after-image?!"
However, before Yuriko could recover from her mistake a surge of energy came from right before her, causing the after-image to detonate in a fierce explosion that send the bio-android stumbling backwards, her carapace scorched and cracked in several spots from the sheer power of the explosion. The bio-android tried to focus her senses, hoping to figure out where her sister had disappeared to, but by the time she caught a hold of her presence she was... right beside her?! A sweeping kick send the bio-android staggering a second time, the follow-up of several punches and kicks causing the bio-android to feel her strength slowly fading away.
"Curse that Saiyajin... if that bitch didn't intervene in our battle I could have fought you at my full power!"
"DON'T YOU DARE TALK ABOUT HER!"
A ferocious shout came from the Homunculus who gathered her hand upwards into the air before sending the Starlight Breaker straight down into the bio-android's body, the point-blank range of the attack not only sending the bio-android crashing backwards into the rumble of one of the destroyed fragments of the island, but also knocked Reikiko back, and yet even with all this damage neither of them seemed to intend to give the other some slack. While Yuriko lifted a hand into the air, conjuring a crimson sphere that was send flying to Reikiko, the Homunculus herself unleashed a quickly charged Dodonpa that slammed into the bio-android before she collapsed into the debris. The crimson sphere of energy that Yuriko had send seemed more devastating, exploding at point-blank and sending Reikiko to collapse into the ground.
"More... I need even greater strength to best her!"
The purple energy coiling around her started to become even more savage, burning and steadily corroding her own ki with its own while at the same time her irises started to show a purple glow to them.
"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!"
A bestial shout came from the Homunculus who dashed straight toward the debris her sister had collapsed in, a shout that the bio-android eagerly met with her wicked laughter as the two engaged in a exchange of fists and kicks. Each blow only served to infuriate the other even more, and the air around them continued to grow heavier by the moment from the overwhelming energies that were being unleashed at their full power. It was finally after several moments that their attacks reached a conclusion: a draw. The two of them hit each other at exactly the same time, sending the other reeling through the air and after having made some formal distance the bio-android declared confidently.
"How about we settle this once and for all Reikiko? One attack, one winner... one corpse."
She wanted to finish this fight, and there was only one way that a battle like this would reach its conclusion: a struggle of their strongest attacks. This was it, her chance to end this battle. An opportunity to finish this battle at last, to defeat and slay the one who had taken away almost everything she held dear... Judging from Yuriko's tone and expression she clearly believed she was still superior compared to Reikiko, that there was no way the Homunculus would be able to defeat her when it came to a struggle of pure power. Perhaps... perhaps it was time to show her the harsh reality: that the bio-android known as Yuriko was about to die!

Chapter 7: Last one standing
Finally... it was finally time to settle this once and for all. Of course there was going to be only one attack she would use to answer this challenge from her sister. The technique that represented the start of her grudge on Yuriko. She could see it in the bio-android's eyes, that wicked amusement that told her that the two of them shared the same idea. There was one technique that was praised as the most destructive and powerful technique currently known to mankind, a technique that could burn through everything, an attack that knew no equal when it came on raw strength alone. It was also the most powerful technique the woman who had been her master had taught her. The technique that was so devastating it could destroy not just planets, but the very wielder of that power also.
"There is only one answer to that challenge..."
Reikiko glared at her sister while she raised both her hands into the air before her, steadying her footing while allowing her energy to flow freely. There was no restraining, no concern about her surroundings. The only thought that lingered in her mind was the desire to destroy her sister. She was going to pay for what she did, and she would do it with the technique of the very woman that the bio-android had killed so long ago!
"Ki" "Ki"
Of course she expected it, the moment she whispered the first part of her technique her sister had mimicked her pose, the golden glow of her ki burning brighter by the moment. She was going to have to defeat the Kikoho of her sister, and at the same time it felt like Yuriko was mocking her. To use the technique of her master was a dishonor, a theft even! Perhaps it was that thought, that hatred that fueled her very being. She could feel it, that rage blending in with her ki, stimulating the energy to burn viciously around her.
"Ko" "Ko"
Although her aura was burning to an inhuman level, she couldn't help but find herself annoyed by the fact her sister's own aura was burning just as strongly. Right now on this planet there was likely only one being that could match them with this amount of raw power. Yet it wasn't enough. She needed to destroy Yuriko, to eliminate her very existence so that she could finally get her revenge!
"HO!" "HO!"
The two shouts were made in union as the aura condensed into the space between their hands, and as if it was the window to a realm filled with infinite power the two ki beams were created. With an amazing speed and strength they rushed at each other, their speed seemingly equal since they met in the middle of the space between the two combatants, but a victor had yet to be decided. The two ki beams struggled intensely, blending and pushing together in a game of tug-of-war yet slowly but certainly it seemed the Bio-android's side was advancing closer, consuming more of Reikiko's beam.
"ghhhg"
A grunt came from the Homunculus as she felt the heat of the beams steadily drawing closer to her, scorching her carapace and making her find her footing slowly being grind backwards. Was this the limit of her power? Was she going to die here, even after this ascension? She said she was willing to sacrifice anything from herself to get the chance to kill Yuriko, yet was it still not enough?
No... I won't fall here, not against her!
The purple energy flowing around her body started to pulse more violently, growing larger as if to respond to her thoughts, and while it started to blend with her own obsidian energy she heard a familiar voice humming playfully in the back of her mind.
Guess I'll lend a hand~ If it's for Onee-sama's vengeance then it's energy spend worthwhile!
That voice... It was Keiko! Of course she should have known that even after her ascension the harvested energy of her younger sibling should have remained dormant within her body. Still to think she would willingly help her kill Yuriko. It was as if she was standing right beside her, firing the Kikoho alongside her! Slowly the energy that was being channeled into the beam seemed to be pushing the Bio-android's attack backwards, a strong push forcing them back into a stalemate.
"DIE ALREADY REIKIKO!"
Her sister shouted in anger, causing the beam to suddenly push closer to the Homunculus again when all of a sudden she could sense it happening. Something within the depths of her soul was stirring, and soon the source of this sensation was felt.
Don't be nervous, I simply allowed you to tap into the power that is rightly ours. Now make that fool's death a spectacle to enjoy!
The sudden burst of power she felt from Reinforce's subtle act seemed to be the last stepping stone she needed to unleash her full power, for the Kikoho burst freely, consuming her sister's side and after a short struggle to push backwards she saw her sister's body being consumed by the Kikoho's fiery rays. It was a delightful moment, the sight of her sister's enraged expression as she screamed in agony, the attack causing her entire body to be vaporized while Reikiko finally felt the strength in her body to slowly fade away, falling onto her knees while her regenerative powers were working on an overdrive to mend the damage her body had taken.
"She is dead.... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA SHE'S FINALLY GONE!"
Her laughter was almost maniacally while she collapsed onto the ground, briefly closing her eyes to whisper softly.
"I finally destroyed her Tamako-sensei... Hikari... People of Avalon... She won't harm anyone else."
But the price for this victory was an expensive one... Hikari had fallen in the battle, and she was forced to ascend into this vile and corrupted monstrous form once more. Nevertheless, she had finally avenged her master by killing the one person she despised the most. Still, what was left for her? Avalon was annihilated, Hikari had died and the source of her grudge had died. She felt... surprisingly at ease, and yet also kind of empty. Or perhaps she was merely tired.

Silence... An eerie silence lingered in the air as Reikiko could feel the malicious energy that had fueled her slowly fade away. Although she was joyous at having accomplished her purpose, that long-lasting desire to kill her sister Yuriko having finally been accomplished, the Homunculus couldn't help but feel the cost for this victory had been way too strong. If only she could have taken the risk and ascended into this form earlier, then perhaps Hikari would have been standing beside her, congratulating her on a victory rather than... Letting out a pained groan Reikiko pushed her body upwards, unsteadily climbing back onto her feet and started to walk away from the battlefield with slow unsteady steps. It took her only a few moments before she reached the spot where Hikari's body laid. She wanted to reach out to her, but the fear of feeling that cold lifeless body of her beloved companion was a sensation that terrified her, so in the end she manipulated a bit of her own ki, wrapping it around the hybrid's body and using her own telekinetic-like ability lifted the girl into the air.
"I'm sorry..."
It was a death she could have prevented, another failure that had cost her something precious. A sudden gust of wind caused Reikiko to raise a hand to her face, shielding it from the dust that was kicked up, but it was at that moment she felt two things that made her shiver to the depths of her core: The first was the feeling that in a far away place on a planet a destructive attack was just unleashed, its overwhelming power easily felt by her while at the same time she could also have sworn she sensed someone familiar... Someone incredibly familiar. She slowly lifted her gaze into the air, a look of disbelief on her face as a obsidian-haired woman clapped her hands in an applause, a look of amusement on her face.
"Congratulations on defeating our sister Reikiko."
It was the woman who called herself Tsukiko, one of the Chimera sisters who seemed to hold little interest in the conflict between the sisters, and instead pursued to complete the ambitions of their creator. She couldn't help but glare in distrust at her sister's sudden emergence, but instead of a hostile reaction she received a most unexpected thing from her sister...
"I mean you no harm~ Surely last time I shown that I am on your side. In fact, let me provide you more evidence of my alliance: As we speak there are two things you're ignorant about."
What kind of cryptic message was her sister trying to give her? While she acknowledged the fact Tsukiko would be unlikely to try to kill her, even in her weakened state she didn't like the scheming bastard. Nevertheless, she at least gave her sister a listening ear. It was a decision she clearly wasn't going to regret...
"Number one: That girl you're grieving over is still alive. Your sorrow must have dulled your senses, for the flame of her soul still flickers feebly. While it's a peculiar thing, it seems her body has produced some anti-bodies that are countering Yuriko's poison. Nevertheless, to develop a cure you'll need three things. First and foremost, the venom extracted from Yuriko's twin-sister, Motoko. While this would normally be an easy case for you to handle, I'm afraid she left Earth several weeks ago, and the only one who might have an idea of her whereabouts would be the Blue Banner Army who seem to have encountered her during a patrol. Unfortunately their leader is kind of cray-cray right now so good luck getting something out of him."
That was an understatement, Vipoi was infected by a dangerous virus, and the only way she could think of a proper way to save the android was to obliterate him entirely and get the BBA to rebuild him. At the same time there was clearly more left to the problem...
"Second you'll need a suitable doctor to create an antidote, I think the ancient Tuffle civilization had some excellent doctors back in the day. Well, aside from that there is one more issue... Your lovely little companion? The Saiyan girl and her mother? They are about to become overwhelmed by the swarm of Yuriko's spawn..."
What?! Couldn't she have told her earlier?! Steadying her telekinetic manipulation of Hikari's body she allowed her regeneration to stir into full overdrive, rushing head-first to the direction of Kaula's presence. No way would she allow ANYONE to kill Kaula, she had experienced the pain of losing someone precious to her more than enough.
