Voting no on the chance outcome that PL will be graded normally with Shoki. If that's not the case, I can see for a bonus with them, however, I think things like G training in AL need to be nuked, since someone could conceivably pull a 3.7 modifier with this.

Mm, makes sense. With this boost, you wouldn't need to 'eh i can has gravity' in the afterlife.

I don't see a need for the bonus in the afterlife, if the lmb is going to be there already, what with the Shoki to PL conversion being 1:1.

The PL:shoki is 1:2, no modifiers. If your vote here was dependent on the 1:1 with modifiers, please alter if you wish. Will close in 24 hrs.

I think I'm settled here at no modifier still.

You can't running interdependent polls in tandem like this guys, for exactly the reason you're commenting on above :X (It is something I have pointed out in the past)
and Zucetta, it sounds like you may not have considered how this all pieces together - no part of the poll you reference included a removal of shoki conversion, which is already a 1:1 ratio, so now afterlife now automatically gives a 1.5 pl modifier by default cause of this new bonus you have put through.
If this goes through how it currently appears, afterlife will be awarding quadrupal(triple and a half technically) pl gains potentially...

STAGE 3 - VOTING
- Once a discussion is moved to voting, a new and separate [Poll] thread should be set up with appropriate options based on the relevant discussion thread. Staff should raise any queries/complaints about wording of the options or those which were made available IMMEDIATELY.
I wasn't aware of your interdependency hoops, and nor do I really care, as I think I respect our staff team enough two simple, if related, polls within the context of each other, and even with one poll solidified and a whole day to change their votes (and everyone has been around, and everyone knows about the other poll results and this one's extension in the face of that) the vote results have mostly remained the same. Perhaps my mathematics is bad, as I've only just woke up (and tbh it was never my strong suit), but I can't quite get to how PL gain has quadrupled. I just see two extra routes to it, without making the afterlife seem too punishing (which was previously pretty much unanimous in staff, and the majority of members seemed to reflect this sentiment, too). We have the following; 1) Remaining shoki converted to PL (I'm not sure if you've been deliberately vague on how this conversion actually works; is it straight, or does it take PL modifiers suchs as LMB or weights into account, or what?) 2) Half shoki gain in PL, non-modified (so if you gain 1000 shoki, you get 500 pl. This isn't much of a boost, tbh, but it takes the edge off of shoki pursuit). 3) Optional: Once you get a body, you can once again pursue straight PL or zenni. If you pursue straight PL in the AL, you get a .5 modifier boost. These discussions and polls, if you'd take the time to read them, were set up to increase the PL gain in the afterlife, to reduce the perceived punishment of it OOCly. One of the major site issues is everyone to scared for their character to die and enter a kind of purgatory.
