I don't think there should be a thread limit for people. People who have less time to RP would get less people to RP with them because they wouldn't want to waste a slot on them. Take me for instance. I live in Korea right now, and sometimes my work days can span 16+ hours a day, 5 days a week, and sometimes weekends. Other times it could be a normal 8 with weekends off. This is why you haven't seen a lot of Kayle in the forums because the 16+ thing happened for the last 2 weeks because of inspections coming up. I usually have no idea what kind of week it will be until I work it. Knowing this, people probably wouldn't want to thread with people that have work schedules that can do that to them, and it would limit our RP even more than our IRL duties already do. If this happens, there is probably no reason for me to stay because I can see no one wanting to take the gamble of threading with someone that may, at a moments notice, take up one of their thread counts and not be as active. This is not saying I will quite if this is a thing. I will stay because I like it here, but I can for see this making the site be more of a personal fan fiction for people with my work life.
Now as the for the solo post word count, I do agree with that. I mean we are role playing, not writing novels here.

If people are just padding their word count then the quality consideration would be low to disincentivise this. Additionally, when a thread started should have no bearing on how you are graded, it should be based on the time of grading (I believe Zuni references vipoi noting this), otherwise you would indeed have all sorts of weird issues. It's kinda similar to how when you join a saga your pl is locked so you can't do solo threads on the side to fluff yourself up mid-battle. ---- I'm not sure a specific cap really needs to be enforced, but if you're in an excessive number of threads it's likely you won't be giving them the care/diligence they deserve. Could be helpful to get a general reading on how many threads would be considered reasonable, but honestly I don't see it as much of an issue if, for example, you have 3 threads with slow posters, and so decide to do a solo and another group thread. Personally I wouldn't do so, as I'm not a thread hooker, but hey (5)
