On WoD: Souls, we let YOU get all of the major roles, rather than NPC characters. You could become (or create as a new character) the President of Earth, or the master of the Turtle School, the creators of the Kamehameha, for instance. If you wish to inquire about going for a ranked position, either with a character you already have or a new one, send myself or another member of staff a PM for details.
Players must have 10,000pl before they can 'officially' claim a given role and receive it's benefits, though they may create new characters who are intended to fill this mantle and handle this 'unofficial' period as desired. (eg. a prince soon to be king, a star pupil of the elderly master, a temporary replacement who who doesn't expect their upcoming promotion, etc.)
The races with the brackets by Open positions are only for completely new characters. If you have a created character that is not the applicable race, we could potentially sort something out. PM us.
Earth
Kami - Maeve
The guardian of all Earth, considered to be the protective God of the planet. Kami can create the Dragon Balls, the eponymous orbs that grant a wish to whomever can gather all seven. Kami also has access to two other facilities, the Hyperbolic Time Chamber which allows one year to pass in a day within a special room on the Lookout, and also can give out to novice warriors sacred Holy Water which gives a power boost of 12,000 PL.
Turtle Sensei - Aritcho
The master of the Turtle-style martial arts following founded by Krillin, Turtle Sensei automatically gains three techniques, all of which he can teach to students without taking up one of their PL-technique slots:
Kamehameha Wave (Offensive) - the signature 'beam' attack of the Dragon Ball series, fired with the traditional chant within the name.
Thunder-Shock Surprise (Support) - an energy attack that debilitates the opposition with a painful blast of lightning, though it does not actually damage - it just hurts.
Kienzan/Destructo Disc (Special) - A 100% attack that cannot be blocked by barriers that can be charged up to a 300% maximum. If it hits someone stronger, regardless of PL, it has the potential to sever limbs.
Crane Sensei - Samba
The head of the rival martial arts style founded by Tienshinhan, Crane Sensei automatically gains three techniques which can be taught to students without taking up one of their PL-technique slots:
Dodonpa Ray (Offensive) - a thin, concentrated beam of destruction which explodes on contact with an object.
Solar Flare (Support) - a blast of light projected from the hands to temporarily blind the opposition, plus any upset onlookers.
Kikoho/Tri-Beam (Special) - A powerful blast which charges at 133% per turn, and can be charged up to 532%. It focuses some of the users own life-energy as well as battle-ki. Using repeatedly can lead to death, and even just one blast can damage the user.
President - Vi-Poi
The elected leader of Earth.Has a monthly income of 1000 zenni. Oh, and executive power over the planet.
Namek
Elder-Guru - Helix Crust
The wise master of the Namekians. He has the ability to create the Dragon Balls, to heal people of most injuries and to unlock their true potential - a set boost of 15,000 PL. He can also teach the gift of Healing (Support) to non-Namekians.
Master of Warrior Clan - Rhytid
The head of the warrior-caste. He can teach the techniques of the Special Beam Cannon (special), a piercing beam that ignores barrier techniques which charges at 125% to a maximum of 250%, and the multi-form - a technique which can create copies of one's self, but dividing your power by equal measure.
Master of the Mazoku Caste - Xylo
The lord of the demon caste, the Namekians who in the past one-thousand years have become impure and war-like. He can teach the ability of Hellzone Grenade (special), a blast technique that equals 100% PL that can be charged to 300% with an additional homing effect, and also the ability to Magically Materialise anything, from clothes to weaponry. Anything used in battle is equal to the power of the user.
Saiyan Solar Empire
Queen of Vegeta - Habana
The King/Queen of the saiyans. This powerful warrior gains the Power Ball special, a technique which can create an artificial moon to induce the Oozaru state(s) without a natural moon.
Saiyan Commander - Shemha
Working directly for the ruler of the saiyans, the commander of the SSE operates independently and in their stead if the monarch is unavailable. They know the Final Flash special, a draining beam technique that grows more powerful with every charge - 100%/233%/399% on its final charge, should they get that far. They can also teach saiyan's under 20,000 PL how to control their tails and how to master Oozaru (after 20,000 saiyans can still learn these from the commander, but they can also teach themselves).
Arcosian Empire/Fiefdoms
Lord of Arcose - Koldar
The leader of the arcosians. This tyrant gains the Death Ball special, a blast which starts at 150% power but charges at a rate of 75% to a maximum of 300% which has the power to destroy planets regardless of battle outcome if the attack hits the planet during a saga thread, once the thread reaches its conclusion. They also only need 50,000 base PL to destroy a planet with this technique, rather than 100,000 and a 10x+ transformation.
Soma Squad - Somatotrope
The leader of an elite squadron who answers directly to the ruler of the Arcosian Empire, and also teaches at the battle academies within its borders (the force/school takes the name of the character). This individual knows the Imprisonment Ball special, a 100% Barrier that, unlike standard barriers, is launched at an enemy trapping them in the ball until it is either destroyed by the person inside or detonated by the creator, regardless its destruction is the equivalent to a 66% PL attack that cannot be dodged with a technique (but can be negated by a barrier technique). They also teach the Time Stop [SU2], which operates as a variant of the zanzoken or dodge techniques but, at this level, can be used to "dodge" for somebody else (the 100% PL rule applies to YOUR PL if you save somebody else).

Earth
Serpent Sensei - Bing Gan
The master of a school of martial arts that had once faded into obscurity, the Serpent Sensei has three techniques to offer, each of which can be taught without using a students technique slots.
Serpent's Bite (Offensive) - A swirling beam of Emerald Ki. If charged enough, the head of the beam morphs into that of a snakes head.
After-Image (Support) - A technique which allows the user to increase their speed tremendously for a brief moment, allowing them to dodge enemy attacks--provided the user is speedy enough, of course.
Boomslang (Special) - A tricky ball of energy. The Boomslang is a 66% attack, which can charge up to 264%. Once fired, the attack will chase after the target, homing in on them twice.
