This is the same night Vi-Poi and BREU ran their onslaught on the Fenix Corporation’s office building. The events in this tale take place right after the blue-skinned alien came back to the facilities and sought Dr. Slouch to fix his energy absorber which started to malfunction after BREU absorbed way too much ki with them at once. It was around 4:00 am by now and since BREU was a biomechanical lifeform and didn’t have the need to sleep, he pretty much had a one or two hours at least ahead of him before everyone in the base started waking up. So he would pretty much enjoy the solitude and silence to do some training by himself. Of course, he would earn his powers back faster if he went on a quest to absorb some life force off living prey, but he decided to listen to Dr. Slouch this time and increase his power level by the old fashioned method of physical exercises. He would get to spice it a little with some sophisticated equipment that was reserved for the members of the KAOS team.
He left for the hangar as soon as he leaves the lab sector of BBA’s facilities. There, he finds Big Blu landed, in all of its majesty. He proceeds to the the ramp that leads to the interior of the elite transportation and makes his way first to the sleeping chambers reserved for the crew inside Big Blu’s bowels. There, he goes to his personal locker and opens it to retrieve a bottle of moonshine. His motors were running well with the absinthe he retrieved from one of the shops in Fenix Corporation’s edifice’s food court, but nothing could compare to his special a hundred percent alcohol sauce. It was rare to see BREU walking around without a spare bottle. If anything, he would fill his reserves before going on a mission.
After he was done, he proceeded to the training chambers, which had restricted access to unauthorized members. Only the elite was allowed to access the gravity chamber, according to Vi-Poi. BREU approached the metal door and placed his hands on the digital recognition device. A green light glows around where BREU’s hand was placed, signaling the system acknowledged him as an authorized member and granted him clearance to use the room. Once the metal door opens, BREU goes in the large room.
Once inside the room, BREU proceeds to put his moonshine bottle on a safe stand. The bio-android then figures it’s best to do some warm-up before undergoing gravitational changes. He stops by the center of the room and do the usual stretching up. With his muscles ready he gets started with a basic sequence of warm-up exercises. He starts with jumping jacks and follow a sequence of supine bridge, split stance dynamic adductor mobilization, quadruped extension rotation, rocking ankle mobilization, scapular wall slides, the walking spider man with reach and hip lift, high knee skips and last, some marching on the spot. All this took but about 20 minutes. Once done, he proceeded to get himself a rope and jumps unbrokenly for the next 30 minutes. The last 10 minutes of his warm up consisted of repeated slow motion kicks, punches and movements.
Once he was done with his preparations, he proceeded to the center of the room to access the Gravitron’s mainframe. But as he was about to press the buttons and get the heavy program started, his scouter registered a power level in the vicinity. Someone was awake. The in-built device registered a power of 10.916, right about BREU’s current power level of 11.000. The bionic man’s power was actually higher, peaking at a little over 15.000. However, the mission he just carried out, allied with his intense warm-up had depleted a bit of his energy reserves a little, specially considering absinthe doesn’t have the same alcoholic content as the moonshine, which means it isn’t as optimal to power BREU’s internal engine as the latter. The brenchian wondered who was coming. Perhaps a potential sparring partner?
OOC: For the sparring, I thought it would be more fluid and fun to have both characters at the same power level. So I'm having BREU's pl go down a bit due to fatigue and sub-optimal fuel. Make your grand entrance whenever you're ready.
