Ornee scratched the back of his feathered head. The time patroller who had started to announce the matches had gone missing. It was now the vargas' job to do it, but he knew barely any of these fighters."Uh... In the Major League we have Cipher 24 and Vi-Poi battling in the quarter finals!"
ROUND THREE of the Major League's Multiversal Tournament has begun! Player Versus Player Matches have a set 48 hour timer for posts. Failing to post in time will result in disqualification. After ten days pass (*10 minutes IC), if a knockout, ring out, and so on is not accomplished, judges will decide a winner. Without further adieu, get to punching each other.

He knew this match was going to come sooner or later. Cipher 24 both dreaded and anticipated this match up. Virtual Poi, his former boss. And just after he had managed to defeat his Universe 12 counterpart, the mad android Realigner Red. One would think beating one version of Vipoi would be enough to give Cipher some more confidence, but that wasn't the case. Realigner Red had just been a malignant program running around in Vi's body. Vipoi however had been his boss, and the last time the two were together, he was VERY pissed off and beat Cipher senseless. And now they were in a situation where Vipoi would be ALLOWED to brutally mutilate him. At least the power limiter on everyone would give Cipher a chance. And who knows, maybe Vipoi had calmed down since then that he'd be reasonable. Oh who was he kidding? The kid held a grudge like nobody's business. The crowd was cheering wildly as Cipher stepped into the ring. In the audience, he could see Porsalynne and Charlene, his daughter cheering just as wildly for her father, while his wife gave him a supporting smile. At least no matter the outcome, he always had them. Cipher then turned his attention to his opponent, his former boss. He couldn't back down now. He stood up to Vipoi on Vegeta, and that was when the childish android greatly outmatched him. Here, things were even, and Cipher was going to beat some sense into him if he insisted on being juvenile. ------------------- Thread PL: 500,000 KP - 3/3 Vi-Poi

Deciding -- for the moment at least -- to embrace the strange, tottering episode that was the Multiverse Tournament, Vi-Poi cartwheeled and flipped acrobatically as he landed into the ring, striking his signature KAOS Pose as he slid a squeaking landing. Huffing a gelled tousle of hair out of his face, he smirked at Cipher 24 before his face turned still and cold. He was psyched that he was going to properly settle things with his former trusted lieutenant, the guy who’d betrayed his trust in the moment it counted most. Vi-Poi had always put faith into KAOS. And he’d never questioned that faith. Cipher broke that faith to pieces on Vegeta, and had change Vi-Poi’s mind about a lot of things. KAOS was gone. The Blue Banner Army was shifting into dormancy. What good was having the best fighters in the Universe, if none of them would ever fight for what was right? Peace had been achieved, maybe. But would it have panned out that way had Vi-Poi not put life and limb on the line insiting that domination had no place in the galaxy? He still had his doubts about the SSE. It was a system built on slavery and planet trade. The galaxy might be blessed by a good queen or two, but what happened when those good queens died?
The trappings of the GALACTIC LEAGUE OF WRESTLING floated in behind the small azure android – the fleet of cameras, and his tag team partner that never really did anything besides sulk and grunt, Glubleek the Unlosing.
Glubleek the Unlosing cast Cipher a bored look before resuming his gnawing on something like a fried chicken leg.
Straightening out of his pose and putting his arms akimbo, Vi-Poi surveyed his foe. So, he’d beaten Realigner Red? Big deal! Realigner Red had been an uncoordinated, uncaring mess. Vi-Poi would expect any KAOSer worthy of the rank to be able to out-fight that thing. A pang of anger made the hairs on his neck rise as he looked into Cipher’s eyes. Former KAOSer. Vi-Poi glared intensely.
“I bet those four arms really helped,” He said, making an obscene pumping motion with a fist before squirting a spit to one side. He began to walk towards his opponent, a golden aura rising from his pale shoulders. A wild wind shot through the air, building until it whined like a pedal-steel guitar. And though it reined across the little world that was their ring, the wind didn’t touch Vi-Poi. It came from him.
“Guess you must think I’m a real jerk, huh?” Vi-Poi asked his betrayer as he neared. “That’s okay, the feeling’s mutual.” Finding a good distance, Vi-Poi stilled. “How's life in exile been working out for ya? Jump to defend any slaveowners, lately?” Vi-Poi asked conversationally, stretching into Liang’s Tiger Stance. It’d feel good, trashing Cipher with Liang’s moves.
Gathering his chi, he could feel the power sweeping through him now, that special merged energy that had been with him ever since he fused with the ghost of Poi Toques on Namek. The pure, joyous feeling was there, but it did nothing to temper his anger. If anything, his aggravation towards Cipher was enhanced by this focusing of the spirit, elation and rage combining into a thrilling righteousness.
He glowed as bright and yellow as Earth’s sun.
“I’m gonna wipe that stupid mopey look right off your face, you crystal clown-looking fuckhead.”

Cipher watched in stunned silence as Vipoi entered the ring. Just what the hell was he WEARING? The guy looked like a complete spectacle. Sure, this was a contest, but this was just absurd. Cipher let out a weary sigh as he tried not to roll his eyes. This was the leader of Earth ladies and gentlemen. A clown granted a crazy amount of strength. Had he actually chosen to do this willingly? Or had he been roped into this little stunt? The world may never know. But hey, maybe if he was indulging in such stupidity, maybe he was in a better mood? Then came the obscene hand joke. Nope. Still pissed off, and as petulant as ever. Cipher's gaze hardened as he watched the younger android walk towards him, glowing as a strong wind shot around the ring. Cipher stood strong against it, his white hair flowing behind him. "A jerk? Hardly. Hypocrite, petulant child, paranoid lunatic, total and utter fuckwit, those would be more appropriate. But then again, who's throwing around insults?" He watched as he slipped into a familiar stance. Wasn't that Liang's fighting stance? So Vipoi was now stealing his former subordinates moves? Or was it some sort of crack at Cipher for his 'betrayal' (if you could call disagreeing with your boss a betrayal). Probably the latter. Trust Vipoi to be so petty. "I actually was busy helping put an end to an intergalactic conflict. Which is more than we can say for other people in this ring." While his role in stopping the fighting between the Mazoku and the SSE wasn't a large one, he at least had the knowledge that he did more than his self absorbed boss. Suddenly Vi's power flared, glowing gold like a miniature sun. Not that it really mattered. Their powers were fixed. This was just another flashy show of force from the boy used to being the strongest. But he didn't have that power here. They were on even ground. How would Vipoi fair now that he couldn't simply overpower his enemy? As Vipoi let out his last, childish barb, Cipher's body began to glow a pale green. Unlike Vipoi's own raging aura, Cipher's seemed calm, collected. The wind blowing off of Vipoi seemed to shift away from the android as he stood there, looking down on his opponent. A picture of calm in contrast to Vipoi's raging storm. "Tell me, how is Liang? Has he come back yet? Or is he still AWOL?" Funny how he regarded Cipher a traitor, yet he held the guy who had quietly abandoned the BBA with such high regard? -------------------- Ki Control [MP3] charging, 100%-200% next turn. Vi-Poi’s expression grew tight as Cipher began to charge his energy. This was it, then. And with the Vargas making everything equal, there was no room for error. “Is that right?” He asked sternly, voice hot with anger. “You betrayed your friends like a complete a-hole. You weren’t there for peace. You were there for yourself.” Spreading his feet, he let out a loud howl as he let his energy burn around him, his golden aura flaring into a blinding white light.
“HAHHHHHHHHHH!” He yelled between clenched teeth, the ground beginning to rattle. He dug deeper than he ever had before, aided by the boon of the Vargas. He let it fill his circuits, let it flow through his new spirit blood.
There was a shimmering well that he was drawing from, and he was hauling up all the spiritual energy, all at once.
His anger melted in the face of the flow of pureness, of basic goodness that was Poi Toques latent energy.
He’d never put all of himself out there like this before.
Across the veil that separated this reality from the next, back on Earth, back in the decommissioned Big Blu – which was entombed in a long and dim warehouse, slowly being picked apart by machines that look a lot like hermit crabs – the main computer which had housed Vi-Poi’s backups suddenly flashed alive despite being disconnected, and promptly exploded in a gush of fire and smoke. The satellite network revolving the Sun, which also were home to his iterative copies, crackled with lightning, becoming bright as stars as they turned molten.
In the former home of the century-dead Poi Toques, in his old bedroom – now occupied by two bored brothers in bunkbeds – the television blipped on and began to scroll ancient video games, to the astounded delight of the room’s new occupants. They played for the rest of the day on ghostly controllers, staggering out of their room like red-eyed zombies when dinnertime came.
In West City, in an old underground Red Ribbon Army bunker that had been recently sealed, a huge dead mainframe inexplicably burst from the ground, rocketing up through the air. The flying computer, boiling in flames and wreathed in electricity, nearly killed a hoverlimo driver, causing him to veer sharply out of the way, giving quite the scare to a newlywed couple in the back seat. The computer soared high in the sky before bursting apart like humongous fireworks, alighting the sky for miles in a brilliant flare of colors.
Back in the ring, flooded in warmth and a clear sense of well-meant power, Vi-Poi stood in a meditation, feeling that power rush into him like the pure, cool rains of autumn that wash away the unbearable heat of summer. He felt a terrible thrill lift through his conscious spirit, and laughed in response to that joy.
“Come on, then!”

Cipher's eyes narrowed as Vipoi dodged the question, instead simply accusing him of being selfish and a traitor. Selfish? Him? When had he actually done anything for himself? Even his questionable actions on Konats, as regretful as they were, he did for the protection of the galaxy from a feared threat. Cipher watched quietly as Vipoi's energy flared up, a blinding storm of energy. Cipher would miss the spectacular fireworks going on around the world, and to be honest, Cipher didn't care. Right now, he was concerned with the arrogant boy in front of him. "You say I betrayed my friends, that I was acting in my own regard. Yet most of my friends supported my actions, and I acted to stop you from dragging both worlds into a war, even if it cost me exile."He took a step towards the young android, his own energy a calm aura around him, tempered and disciplined. "But let's look at you, shall we? You build your own private army, stage a fake saiyan attack, mortally wounding a governor, just to justify staging an armed coup against your own planet. How many people died that day Vi, under YOUR orders." Another step. "And when you couldn't get elected officially, you used your army to seize power again! And during a time when we thought Bing, our friend was dead, and the saiyan threat was looming as well! You were more concerned about your own power!"Another step. "And we finally had peace with the saiyans, when we could put the past behind us, you invade Vegeta! All due to a perceived threat to YOUR power!" Cipher was now standing right in front of Vipoi, looking down on him with disdain, no longer afraid of him. "So tell me, who's the self serving asshole here?"Cipher had done a lot of things in his life he regretted. But the biggest one was helping this self righteous brat get as far as he did. -------- Ki Control [MP3] charging. 200%-300% next round. KP - 3/3 Vi-Poi

Vi-Poi ran his fingers through his heavily gelled and permed curls, putting his hands behind his head. “You finished?” He asked, as their ring shook violently around them. “A-ah say! Dis boy’s gotta lotta yap n no snap.” He said in a perfect pantomime of the animated Ostrich-Chicken, Blowhard Paozuard. “You don’t get to wrap yourself around Bing like that, okay?” Vi-Poi closed his eyes. “He was my friend. Not yours. And I was the one that saved him. Where were you?” He sighed languidly, and his golden aura seemed to thrum in response. “You were with me in West City. Didn’t seem to have much misgivings about it then. We evacuated everybody, didn’t we? Did I do things that were bad? Sure. I was an incomplete person. A machine building up bad dreams. Now, though…” His eyes flashed open. “Now, I’ve become who I’m supposed to be.”

Cipher listened quietly at Vipoi's response. He did regret his actions on Konats, but he could at least know that he was doing something about the saiyans. Vipoi had waited until Bing and Zucceta were on his doorstep before acting, and reports showed that things hadn't gone well for him. Then he did something Cipher hadn't expected. He actually acknowledged he had done bad in the past. Cipher had been convinced the blue android would try to justify his actions, to act like he was in the right. The whole thing brought a chuckle from the pale android, and a small smile. "Why Vipoi, I do believe that's the first time I've heard you acknowledge your mistakes. Perhaps there is hope for you yet."Cipher seemed to visibly calm as he looked down at his former boss. "We've all done things we regret. Even me. But that's not the issue. It's whether we acknowledge those mistakes, and improve on them." His anger at Vipoi seemed to melt away, as his energy formed around his hand. "But enough couples councilling. People came here to see a fight!" Cipher braced himself, swinging aki charged punch at Vi's midsection. ---------- Atlas Fist [MP3] used at 300% 1,500,000 PL to knock Vi out of the ring. Vi-Poi drew in a breath as Cipher 24 sprung at him, rapidly closing the distance as his fist glowed with spiritual thunder.
He’d only have a moment, and Cipher was already too close for Vi-Poi to risk backsplash from a full-throated Supa Bazooka. There was only one choice, then.
His heart skipped a beat. The last time he’d tried this old move, it fizzled into nothing. And during his training, there’d been something blocking him. If that same thing blocked him again, he’d lose for sure.
Vi-Poi stretched an arm out to one side.
He snapped his thumb and forefinger. His fingertip crackled with blue lightning . Don’t be afraid! a voice inside him shouted. Bad can be used for good.
The warm goodness flowing over him suddenly leapt to his fingertip, turning the blue glow into a milky golden whiteness. Vi-Poi grinned brightly as the come-again power exploded out from that one finger. It was a ball the size of a marble, leaping with a frantic, stormy energy. It was fragile, like all good things must be.
For the first time in Vi-Poi’s life – both of them -- he surrendered completely to his chi.
He swept his arm in front of him, his only ward against Cipher’s rearing punch a spritely shine dancing on a raised fingertip. Just before Cipher’s leaping fist smashed home, the tiny marble became a supernova, erupting into a blinding flash of light.
The Mega Nega Bomb grew and grew until it pressed upon them both, seeming to draw them inward with its own gravity. It chimed and sang with energy.

Cipher closed in, fist poised to strike Vipoi's midsection. The blue android didn't seem to move at first, but Cipher was looking out for any sign of a counter attack. Vipoi was no novice after all. He expected some sort of defense. But he hadn't expected this. As his fist collided with the small marble of energy, Cipher's eyes widened in shock and horror. He recognized that attack! The same attack he used to hold the Western Capitol hostage. Is he insane!?Cipher was pushed back as the bomb bloomed into a nova of destructive force. His ki charged fist, pushing back against the blast, was the only thing keeping Cipher from being swallowed up. What was Vi thinking? Using one of his most destructive attacks at point blank range. Of all the things he could have done he picked that!? Cipher couldn't even see Vipoi through the storm of ki. Had he been swallowed up by his own attack? Cipher's Atlas Fist struggled against the bomb, the two forces pushing back at eachother. Cipher could see the bomb bulging inward as the fist matched its power. And then it erupted. The entire ring engulfed in the mushroom cloud. "DAD!" Charlene cried out from the stands. Porsalynne rose to her feet, fearful of what happened to her husband. But then she paused. She could still sense him through their link. She gave a sigh of relief. He was alright. Within the smoke, Cipher took a deep breath, steadying himself. The concussive force of the bomb pushed him back, but his own attack had nullified most of the damage. A little shaken, but overall fine. But he couldn't relax just yet. Though he couldn't see him through the smoke, he could sense Vi's energy. He didn't know how badly, if any, he was hurt by his own attack. But Cipher couldn't let up. Thrusting his arms out, Cipher began firing a barrage of ki blasts towards the source of Vi's energy. The crowd, at first stunned by the massive explosion, began cheering again as the fight renewed. -------- Both attacks cancel eachother out. KP - 1/3 (+1 due to no tech usage) Vi-Poi
