Earth was her home, her place of life and where it was she will live out all of her days. Raising her fist against any who would arrive to attempt to step on the world’s neck. Even if it would cost her her life someday she knew that this was going to be her duty. Standing out behind the house that her mother had left her in the mountains Aina walked over to a few small knickknacks her mother had kept. Each one had meaning to the both of them as it was from the small times they had finally reconnected and buried the hatchet with one another. When her mother rushed off to defend another planet she understood the position as it was a planet that the Kagami were on. A planet she could at least draw some thanks from the Saiyan Empire and maybe just maybe interact with and become one with the populous and teach togetherness in a better way then master and slave. Opening her eyes, she exited the small home and walked outside her white protective suit gleamed ever so lightly underneath the half moon lit sky. Drawing two daggers from her sides she began to ‘dance’ with the blades. Moving one way then another she constantly was moving her spry body. Glinting metal in the moonlight was all that was seen of the blades as she turned and began to carve up a nearby piece of a log stood upright. Each slice was precise and each slice was with a purpose. Impacting and carving out notches she had found a pastime that helped her aggression leak out from its place buried deep within herself. Carving the large carving of a large winged bird she stopped moving as the music and dance she was performing was over and she looked at the half-created carving. It seemed that most of the outer carvings were complete and now it was time for the more precise things. Setting down the large knives she had just been using she pulled out a pair of filet looking knives. Turning Aina began to work once more her only outward sense was that of Lhinith. The spirit deep within was keeping a wary ki eye looking for any who may approach Aina. ( Gira )

Thread PL: 157 133 Heavy Weights equipped! Active PL: 39 283Gira flew over the Eastern Lands, her way lit by the bright moonlight. She was out searching for the one called Aina. Now that she was back on Earth, she figured it was time to keep the promise she made to Mimi on Shikk and deliver the necklace. It was a simple matter to track her down, the offices of the BBA telling her where she might be found. While she had already looked around a few other places, this was last on her list. If she didn't find her target here, then she would have no clue what to do after that. With a curious "hm," Gira reached into her shirt and retrieved the chain from around her neck, examining it briefly, running her thumb tenderly around the ring. She wondered the significance of it. From how the Kagami that gave her this mission spoke, she figured that it must have some sentimental value to this "Aina."
Coming up on her goal, Gira noticed faint glinting in the distance. Reaching ahead with her sixth sense, she could feel a sizable power. This had to be her. By the time she made landing, it appeared that the dance of blades was over. Gira stood about thirty feet away from Aina, watching her for a few seconds before approaching her. "Yo!" She gave the woman a friendly wave as she smiled. After that, she put her hands in her pockets and continued to casually approach her. "Hey, are you Aina? I heard you might be out here. I met someone and they wanted me to give you a message."
Gira hoped that her sudden appearance wasn't too jarring. As far as she knew, Aina wasn't aware that she was looking for her. She had never even met Aina before, so she could understand if her sudden appearance in the middle of the night at what looked like her home made her a little apprehensive, thus her friendly and casual greeting.
Sorry for the lackluster opening post. xD

Aina would turn her attention of the approaching ki signature thanks to Lhinith. The goddess basically screaming into her mind telling her someone was coming and to be ready. This would make her tense up instantly and her attention while appearing to remain at the carving in front of her instead would sway toward the woman who approached. When the person landed Aina would finally open her crimson eyes and look over toward Gira. The friendly wave alongside the tone of her voice would make Aina’s grip on the knives loosen ever so slightly and her muscles to relax. It would be obvious to the other fighter that she was relaxing.
Raising a hand in response Aina would wave at her with a very small wave of acknowledgement showing that yes, she noticed her. Yet she did not speak quite yet as Gira approached her. “I am Aina. May I ask your name and rank. As you have to be Blue Banner to of known of my location so easily and readily.” Her words would come out as she spun the knife that was in her left hand down and into the holster on her hip. Turning toward Gira she would be able to see that Aina had several of the knives strapped to her body with an empty holster on her right hip and a pair of holsters on her legs above her boots and another pair strapped just above her hips one on each side.
Looking over at Gira the red eyes giving off an ever so slightly demonic looking glint to their ruby red depths inside the moonlight. Almost looking like something from a horror movie she did not really flinch as she still held the knife in her right hand. “And you have a message for me. What is the message that you have for me?”

Gira let out a sigh of relief when the girl said that she was indeed Aina. 'Good, good, so this is her.' The hybrid looked at the girl in confusion when she was asked her name and rank, stating that she would have to be in the Blue Banner Army to know of her location. "Well, i'm not in the army. I am a Z-Fighter though and I have a lot of good friends in that organization." As Aina turned to face the teen, Gira made note of the knife holsters placed on various points on the hybrid's body. 'Jeez, got enough knives there?' Gira joked internally to herself. Her good humor faded slightly though as she got a glimpse of the girl's eyes. They were incredibly off-putting. Not at all like the Kagami she met on Shikk. "Um, anyway, I just kinda asked around. The name's Gira by the way." She chuckled slightly. "And yeah, about that message..."
She reached around to the back of her neck and unhooked the necklace, bringing it out from under her shirt and showing it to Aina. "Does, uh... does this look familiar? Someone named Mimikku wanted me to give it to you. We met on Planet Shikk awhile back and defended the planet together. She told me you were part of KAOS, so I kind of already had an idea of where to look for you." She scratched her head nervously before realizing she never gave her the actual message. "Um, anyway... she said that she is going to remain off-world for awhile to protect someone that needs it, and that she's sorry. She wanted me to give you this too." She approached Aina with the necklace and held it out to her. "She's your mother, right? The way she was talking made it seem that way."

As she mentioned not being part of the military it raised her brow ever so slightly. For her knowing mind there was but a few people that knew of this place and even less that had ever seen it. Yet the mention that she had friends within the BBA made Aina finally relax the hand that had been holding the knife off to the side. Spinning it quickly into the open holster she smiled at her. “Since you come in peace and know my name it is good to meet you Gira.”
Aina would respond rather quickly as Gira reached for the necklace that she had and showed it to Aina. The eyes of the young Kagami would widen and then soften almost instantly as she looked at the ring. For memories came to her about the few stories her mother had shared with her about her father and what it was that it meant to have such a thing around. Dangerous for an assassin yet sentimentality was something that never bothered her mother and it did not bothe rAina in the slightest bit. “Sounds just like my mother… To rush off and protect those that need it. She has always done that for as long as I have known her. Charging headfirst into situations that could lead to her death and still fight on.”
Taking a step forward she reached for the necklace taking the ring and chain as it hung there. If Gira allowed it she would bring it to look at it. Her face would soften even more as she looked at the ring. “This was my fathers… A proud Saiyan who died in a cowardly act by those who could not best him in honored combat. My mother carried it with her around her neck because of just how much he meant to her and how his death consumed her. Nearly drove her mad from what I have been told. As she herself told me that she was there and watched the attack happen being unable to do anything to stop it. She managed to somehow get the ring from his body before the goddess within her took control of her body and got her out of there. Or so that is the story she has told me…”
Taking a few breaths she would obviously processing what this meant. It would not be more than a few seconds before she turned her gaze back from the ring to Gira with something of a smile on her face. “This is her way of telling me that she will return someday. To return and to pick this up and she left it to me for safe keeping. Thank you for this Gira. If you have nowhere to go you could stick around. I was about to burn the excess from my latest carving.”

"Nice to meet you too!" Gira smiled after the introductions. There were few things she liked more than making new friends. Her expression softened upon seeing Aina's reaction to the necklace. It appeared to have struck a chord with her emotionally, but she wasn't sure why. After Aina spoke of her mother, Gira smiled again. "Yeah, she was real brave. Neither of us got to do much fighting, though. My sensei, Articho, did most of that." As Aina approached and took the ring in her hand, Gira let the chain go and allowed the other hybrid to take the necklace, listening as she spoke of her father. "It sounds like your father was an honorable man. I'm sorry that he died like that. A Saiyan deserves a better end."
Gira gave her condolences, looking slightly uncomfortable as she did so. The hybrid wasn't good at those sorts of things. Rarely ever was she serious, and it was even more rare for her to be in a position where she felt like she had to give her condolences. She smiled, however, when Aina told her what the ring meant. "Oh, wow. I'm happy to have gotten it to you safely then. It's... also kind of touching that she trusted me to carry it to you. I'll have to thank her for that if we meet again." Then she was offered to stick around for awhile if she had nowhere to be. "Yeah, that sounds fun. I don't really have anywhere in particular to go tonight."

“Articho? Well I guess that is why his school down here on Earth is empty. Even got a way inside as I wanted to learn something more than by myself. Went and got the dogi and he is not there. So I have been busying myself.” She would speak in response to Articho’s name came up. It was obvious that she was clearly a little annoyed by the circumstances of her lack of training but it was not an outward style of annoyance. Nodding in agreement to Gira it had seemed that she was right as his two daughters were both honorable fighters.
“My mother is a good judge of character. Or at least she is normally.” She spoke as she began to gather up the pieces of her discarded carvings. Tossing the pieces as she gathered them into a stone pit that looked rather freshly made. After all of the pieces were tossed into the pit she would strike a match and toss it inside the pit igniting the lumber.
Moving to take a seat she looked at Gira. “So you fought alongside my mother on Shikk? So what did you guys stop from destroying the planet? A Mazoku or some other being that wished to invade and or destroy the Saiyans?”[/color

"Oh! You wanna train with Articho-sensei too? He's a real good teacher. Taught me a lot. I'd say he's a very good choice." Gira smiled at her new acquaintance. "I hope he can get to you soon. Maybe we can all train together sometime?" Once the fire was lit, Gira took a seat near Aina, taking a granola bar out of her pocket, opening up the packaging and munching on it, savoring the chocolatey goodness. "I like to think i'm a good person. I try to be, anyway. If your mom's a good judge of character, I guess her trusting me like that means i've done a good job." The teen looked over at Aina as she asked about the situation on Shikk. She seemed curious, which Gira could understand.
"He was a Heran named Gekido. I met him on Konats too, though he was there for a different reason than why he went to Shikk. I wasn't there for his initial villainous speech, but from what I gathered, he just wanted to fight a "worthy opponent" I guess." Gira scoffed. "I like a good fight as much as the next Saiyan, but I don't go to a planet and threaten to commit genocide to find one." She took another bite of her granola bar. "I did learn on Konats that he was Mazoku, though. He mentioned that he was going to take a report back to Xylo, so i'm guessing he's at least allied with them. Figures that they would attract scum like that. Not sure of his opinion on Saiyans. He didn't seem to mind me too much. Even said he has respect for me."
Gira narrowed her eyes seriously. "Not that I care, though. I don't want the respect of a genocidal maniac who allies themselves with the likes of Xylo." The half-Saiyan chuckled and scratched the back of her head sheepishly. "Sorry, i'm normally not like this. I just get really mad when people treat life like it isn't worth anything."

“That would be cool. I would not mind training with other people beside myself…I think I have spent enough time training to myself with my blades as it is easily evident…” Aina spoke as she turned her gaze toward her away from the slowly crackling fire. It was obvious that Aina was certainly someone that was difficult to gain any sort of traction with despite her obviousness and bluntness of her words.
Upon hearing the name she blinked a couple of times. That name rung true within her mind as she remembered that she had spoken to one time back inside of an earthen town. “The name sounds familiar. I believe I ran into that man at one time during a patrol. I could be wrong though. And heading to go and find a worthy opponent… I swear that man sounded more like a Saiyan than a Heran. I understand Heran are bloodthirsty but that is a bit… well off putting.”
Listening to her words about the Mazoku it made her smirk a little. Yet it would seem that the Heran at least had something of honor despite his attitude. Aina nodded in agreement to the assumption about Xylo and perhaps you could respect certain enemies. Taking a few breaths as she looked at the slowly starting to flare fire. “I have a feeling that Xylo had a full reason to doing it all… Yet I will defend this planet and I feel that you will as well. These knives have seen so many… so many others blood upon them. For once I just hope that they wont anymore.”

Gira grinned when it seemed Aina was warm to the idea of training with her and Articho. "Yeah, I saw a bit of your blade work. Impressive. Really makes me want to train with you." Her grin soon faded, however, as Gekido was brought back into the conversation. "He was the first real bad guy I ever met. The way he spoke just made my skin crawl. I wonder if all bad guys are like that..." Gira looked to the fire after she spoke, looking like she was thinking. "He isn't like a Saiyan, though. The Saiyans I met... have a lot more honor than he does. Sure, he has his own twisted notion of honor, but it's wrong."
She sighed and pulled her knees up to her chest. "Yeah, I feel the same about Xylo. He seems-- well, I suppose I can't really tell because I haven't met the guy before-- but I hear he's a fair ruler at least. He hasn't personally genocided anyone either as far as I know, so I guess that's a bonus. Still, if he comes to Earth looking for a fight, he's gonna get one." Gira's smile returned. "But yeah, you're right. I'm a Z-Fighter now, so protecting Earth is kind of in my job description. Not to mention everyone I care about is here. I'm sure you can relate. Protecting this planet is in your job description too, and i'm sure you've met lots f people that are worth protecting."
Gira finished off her granola bar before pulling two more out of her pocket, offering one to Aina. "I don't wanna kill people either, for the record. I've been told that sometimes you don't get a choice, but... I don't know. I feel like we always have a choice. I just hope i'm not put in that position. I like to fight for fun and to protect what I love. That's it for me. If I can continue to do that, i'm content."

“I would love to train with someone in them… To be honest most of those I have had to learn from are those trying to take my life. So sadly it is them or I that wind up stuck with one on the ground. Luckily that has not happened since I joined up with Earth’s Military a while ago.” Revealing that small tidbit of information about her past was not something that Aina did lightly. As she was testing this woman inside of her mind to see what it was that she would do with it. Would she take the information and run with it asking a million questions or would she take time to internalize it and come up with a more proper answer and question in response. That was what she was wondering about as Gira continued to talk about Gekido.
She would not in response even though Gira had shifted her gaze toward the fire. It was obvious to her that this event seemed to have a profound impact on her. Despite that it seemed she would stay resolute in her convictions which was something admirable. “Honor can be easily twisted and morphed into something unrecognizable to anyone else if one is pushed and twisted enough. Be it by outside forces or internal ones. I know my own code has been tested on several occasions. Yet thanks to the bond I have developed with my sister I can use her as a sounding board and get things off my chest before I allow myself to get twisted.”
The response came as she watched Gira move and pull up her knees to her chest. It seemed that this topic had unnerved her a little more than she had thought. When she brought up the Z-Fighters she had only heard them mentioned in passing from Ninjin in one of their meetings. As her husband was supposedly one of them but all she had ever seen him do is sleep on the couch in their living room or train in the gravity chamber. This little morsel tickled her mind as she wanted to know more. Before she could ask she was offered a granola bar.
“No meat in these? Can’t have any but in small bits otherwise I get violently ill.” Grabbing the granola bar she tore into the packaging after taking a moment to check the brand. Taking the bar to her mouth after being certain there was nothing in it that could kill her she took a large bite as she listened to Gira speak. Swallowing the bite, she nodded to her but chimed in once more.
“Sometimes that line is crossed for you by the person you are fighting. In war there is kill or be killed. I have always seen it as this. If I did not take down the person across from me in the moment that they are coming after me then they could be coming after someone else’s family. Someone else’s brother, sister, father, mother… And in that moment I stand resolute that I will stand in front of them. Even if it were to cost me my life I would end there and make things safer for others.”
Finishing what she had to say she took another bite of the bar and after swallowing she continued. “Though I want to know. My sister spoke quite highly of you Z-Fighters. Then again I think she said she trained several of your members back in her earlier days before she became a mother. Yet that is of no consequence. I wanted to know just what do you guys do that the BBA does not do?”

Gira looked over at Aina, interested in what she said. The hybrid chuckled slightly. "I've only been fighting for a year. Mostly for fun until I joined up with the Z-Fighters. So... we've kind of had different fighting experiences. I've never been in a battle where i've feared for my life. I guess that makes me fortunate. I'm glad you've gotten a chance to fight for different reasons. Not just for survival." Gira looked back at the fire. "Something tells me... you have a very colorful past. Wish I could say the same. I simply lived like your average teenager until I decided that I wanted to be a hero. At first, it was just to get rid of some of this pent up energy. Being part Saiyan and all... well, I gotta fight or else I get restless. But... it soon became something different. The stronger I got, the more I wanted to use my strength to protect, not just to satisfy this primal urge to fight."
The teen smiled in the direction of the fire. "All my friends and family live on this planet... and i'm not about to let anything happen to them." Gira hugged her knees tighter as Aina spoke of honor, her own code having apparently been tested many times. "My mom raised me to stand up for what's right and to care about people. As long as I continue to do that, I know I won't be steered wrong." She smiled once more as Aina took the granola bar, but seemed confused when she mentioned that they didn't have meat in them, so she couldn't eat much or she would become violently ill. "Oh... sorry. If I knew that, I would have brought something different." She took a generous bite of her own bar, letting go of her knees and allowing herself to sit in a more comfortable position.
The concept of honor came up again, Aina stating that if she didn't take out her opponent, they could later come back to threaten someone else or their family. Gira never looked at it like that before. Still, the thought of ending another person's life, even someone who is evil, made her feel uncomfortable to say the least. She believed that anyone could be redeemed if they wanted to be. A beatdown really helped put things in perspective, she figured. Aina's point wasn't lost on the hybrid, though. She remained silent, mulling it over before a question from Gira's new acquaintance snapped her out of it. "Huh? What do we do that you guys don't?" The hybrid looked up at the stars, clearly thinking about it. What exactly was the difference? Gira had never thought of that before, but that was mainly because she didn't really notice a difference.
She looked back at Aina, smiling slightly. The teen simply shrugged. "You know, i'm not sure we do anything different. We both protect Earth, right? Except you guys do it as an arm of the government and we do it... well, as an arm of the Earth's guardian? Maybe it's just because i'm not that experienced of a Z-Fighter. Some people don't seem to be overfond of the army. Especially my friend, Pieter. Though if you ask me, I think it's just because he doesn't like Vi-Poi." She took another bite of her granola bar. "I wish our two organizations could get along better. We're on the same side, after all." That of course being the side of Earth.
It's cool. ^^ Holidays are busy for everyone.

{{Apologies busy holidays and getting ill are never a good combination. So here is the post}}
“Only a year? Makes me feel old and I know I am barely old enough to drink. Fighting on the streets and fighting like we do now are two different beasts but they follow the same vein.” Her words came slowly as she watched Gira’s eyes turn back toward the fire. The rest of the hybrids words came out clear and yet still there was nothing from Aina involving them deeper into her mind. Taking a few moments to chew over the words and the remnants of the last bite of the granola bar she had she put together a response for Gira.
[color-coral] “” I do know the feeling on the restlessness… My father was a Saiyan and I have had to go to my sister many a time in order to get things off my chest so I would not go stir crazy. Darn woman still can beat me going full out without breaking so much of a sweat. Lousy golden form of hers…” [/color] She grumbled to herself as despite the obvious admiration for her sister there was more anger toward the fact they had never had a true even fight in their lives. Despite that she had caught the little smile as Gira continued to speak up about that her family and friends lived here. That was the reason that Gira fought and to Aina it was the best reason of them all. Family and friends were the greatest fuel to stoke the fire. Yet as time passed and the words between them did as well Aina honestly gained a small measure of respect for the young woman.
Aina would nod at her assumption that they all were on the same side. Truly within her mind she held that belief depp down within her gut. “I honestly hope that they are able to get along… Though I do share the misgivings your friend does about our Premier. I understand why he does what he does as a military person and I understand how it could rub a few people the wrong way. I for one do not like the way that they took over from the military that I was a part of. Nearly killing me and most that I had served with at one time. It was like if something was not to their liking it was removed from their path. By force of will, strength, or coercion.”
Speaking softly but with putpose she finished off the granola bar with a crunch of the wrapper as she tossed it into the fire before them. It was nice for Aina to actually speak to someone like this. To be calm and collected and yet be able to talk freely. After swallowing she turned her eyes toward Gira. “Do you think that someone like myself would be allowed into the Z-Fighters should I ever feel that the military has gone to far down a path that I cannot walk on?”

Gira looked over at Aina when she mentioned her sister and the "golden form of her's." She grinned excitedly. "Oh, your sister is a Super Saiyan? That's pretty cool. I'm a Super Saiyan too. The power of that form is incredible. I understand how it can be hard to beat." As their conversation turned towards the Z-Fighters and their relationship with the army. It seemed Aina also wished that their two factions got along, but she also seemed to share Pieter's opinion of Earth's president. "I've only met him once. He just said one thing to me. It was a compliment, but looking back on it, it was kind of a backhanded one." She thought back to when she met the rest of the Z-Fighters on Kami's Lookout. She had dropped herself right into an argument between Bing and Vi-Poi. That... certainly was awkward. Thankfully, they split from the rest of the group and had their argument elsewhere.
That wasn't before Vi had told Gira that she was "more than cool enough to be a Z-Fighter." Knowing what she knew now, however, it was clearly a backhanded compliment meant as more of an insult to the Z-Fighters than as a word of approval towards her. Aina's words helped give her a better understanding of Vi-Poi and the organization he led. It was worse than she originally assumed. "Oh... wow, that sounds..." It almost left her speechless. She got a funny feeling about the android that led Earth, but given this new information, she had a lot to think about. Finishing her granola bar, she tossed the wrapping into the fire like Aina and smiled at her as she spoke again, asking if the Z-Fighters would accept someone like her if she ever wanted to leave the military. "Sure, I don't see why not. I've seen all sorts in our little group. Anyone who wants to protect the planet is welcome in my book."
It's okay. ^^ Glad you're better.

“Yea she is. Focusing on her training and protecting her family. One time she just exploded with rage when her mother was killed. That seems to be her trigger moment I believe you call it.” Aina spoke and chuckled to herself as her own thoughts on the whole were. Though having Gira speak up and say that she could understand how hard it was to beat. Nodding to her in obvious understanding.
Leaning her head back and looking up into the sky. Seeing a few shooting stars as she rubbed the side of her head. “I tend to listen to him when he is speaking orders… and to be honest not much else. My own ideas do not matter when I am on duty. So that is what I do nowadays.” Speaking softly she would stay looking up into the darkened sky.
As Gira spoke about that anyone would be welcome made her lower her gaze back from the stars and back toward Gira. A soft smile crossed her lips as she moved a hand to remove one of the belts that held all of her knives. Taking a few moments to remove the specially designed knives she set them aside. “When your Kami returns could you possibly bring me along to speak with them? I would like to actively join the Z Fighters to help you all. I want to do nothing but protect our home world. The only world that we all have of our own. Even if we are alien born on this planet.”
