Thread PL: 157 133 Heavy Weights equipped! Active PL: 39 283 Gira wiped the sweat off her brow as she trudged through the Fortuneteller's Desert. Her goal here was a rather simple one; find the mysterious palace of legend it contained. This was more of a goal for fun, though. Gira had been working so hard lately, she wanted to take a little bit of time for herself and do some fun things. She had grown up in this region, so she heard the legends of the desert. Legend had it that a mysterious fortuneteller made their home here. Beyond a simple desire to take a break from her daily grind, the hybrid hoped to find him or her today so that she might have them read her future. She felt... rather uncertain about a lot of things and having someone look into her future and tell her what was going to happen would help set her mind at ease. This of course was a secondary goal. The temperature was rather inhospitable, however. Still, that being the case, Gira was having a good time. She felt like a character in a movie, out on a mystical quest of adventure. She wasn't entirely sure she would even find this palace. Her goal was to have a good time though and take a break from all the seriousness. With that goal in mind, she had certainly succeeded already. Finding the palace would just be the icing on the cake to this day. For that, the teen could handle a little bit of heat. Even though that was the case... Gira couldn't help but feel like this would be easier with two sets of eyes. It was unlikely that anyone would be out here just randomly, but she hoped that she would stumble across someone. If for no other reason than this would be more fun with two people as opposed to her doing it solo. The girl sighed and looked up at the yellow sphere in the sky that was causing the almost unbearable heat. Even though she was boiling hot, sweaty, and wandering aimlessly in the desert, she felt far more relaxed than she had been the past few months. For once, she was simply on a quest to have fun first and foremost. Gira reached down and grabbed the bottle of water clipped to her waistband, taking off the cap and taking a generous swig. She sighed with relief, clipping the bottle back where it was. The hybrid looked out at the endless expanse of sand... miles upon miles upon miles of it. Sure, she could just fly overhead and look for the palace that way, but what would be the fun in that? Plus, who is to say that the fortuneteller didn't cloak his palace in magic that prevented it from being seen except from a very specific angle? The teen wasn't sure what this being might be capable of. From what she understood of magic, which she would readily admit was very little, anything was possible. Wiping the sweat off her brow once more, the hybrid continued onward.
Here you are! lol I'm terrible at thread starters. Edoma

[PL: 83,230 HW ON: 20,808] "You're joking, right?""Not at all my good man, the cards never lie!"The teen was having trouble believing quite a few things today. For starters, he couldn't believe that it was this hot in winter, even in the desert. The heat was intense, feeling like it was trying to choke Edoma every five minutes or so, only to be staved off by the occasional gulp of water. Luckily the hybrid was prepared, having a nice large bottle of water sitting on a purple cloth table. Which brought him to his current situation. To preface, in his travels, the young saiyan heard of a mystical fortune teller in the western desert. Now Edo was usually rather skeptical of earth stories, especially about their heroes and in turn their strength. However, this seemed different. Perhaps it was because it had more to do with intelligence than muscle, or just because of it's more immaterial nature. Regardless, the teen was interested. This man... This man, on the other hand, was nothing more than an unintelligible fool. Edoma had found a large tent in the desert, complete with a sign saying "Xamma, the all-knowing!" For someone who only had a year on earth under his belt, it was perfectly reasonable to assume this may very well be the place Edoma was looking for right? Well, he couldn't be more wrong. Instead, this all-knowing Xamma looked inquisitively in a glass ball only to say, "Ah yes! I see... I see! A man, NO, a woman. With green hair? She seems to be blowing glass bubble from sand!" At first, the saiyan was astounded, giving the benefit of the doubt that maybe not everyone can see what goes on inside a glass sphere. However, when he asked him what that was supposed to mean, he started babbling about the lady suddenly growing older, then sprouting tentacles, never giving a straight answer, only becoming more outrageous. Finally, when the green haired old lady finished transforming into a complete octopus, the teen tried to head out. Of course, Xamma wasn't having it, insisting that he could tell Edo's fortune with an ordinary deck of playing cards. He drew five total, reading them out as he did so. "Jack of hearts, ace of diamonds, ten of clubs, queen of spades, king of diamonds." Then for the next minute, he wouldn't give any fortune, only celebrate how he managed to draw a straight. After this, he would finally say, "Ah yes!" one more ah yes and Edo would make him scream 'oh no!' "This is a very conflicted fortune. This indicates piles of gold coins in your future but at a great personal cost." One again Xamma would refuse to go into specifics, leading Edoma to the inescapable conclusion, that this man was what many would refer to as a 'fraud.' Now ten Zeni down, the young fighter started to walk back to the dojo. Though with the sun blazing directly overhead, combined with Edo's notoriously bad sense of direction, you get the perfect recipe for a lost teenager. Luckily for our lost adventurer, he would soon sense a higher than average power level. Forget higher than average, it was higher than his own, at least while he was weighted. More importantly, it was familiar. What could be more comforting for a wandering soul than a familiar face, even if he couldn't quite place the energy signature. As the saiyan drew closer, slipping and sliding with the uneven sand in his haste, he did indeed recognize the person said power belonged. For once Edo didn't need too long to remember a name, there's no way he'd let himself forget a fellow teen, half saiyan half human that easily. Not to mention, being a teenager, embarrassing moments tend to stick in one's mind until their teen years are done, and he certainly had one the day they met, albeit a small one. "Hey! Gira!" he'd call out. "God I hope I'm right about the name," he muttered to himself, already doubting his memory. Gira Let's do it! I hope this is a good post like I said I'm still shaking off some rust

Gira had been trudging through the desert for quite awhile longer. She had thought for a moment that her quest was at an end when she came across the place of the Xamma the All-Knowing. Her first clue that he was a waste of time should have been the fact that while she expected a palace, what she got was a ramshackle tent in the middle of the desert that smelled like cheese and old man. Her second clue was the enormously vague and nonsensical prophecies he told her about how she would marry a billionaire Arcosian and have many children. She wasn't an expert on alien physiology; that was more the area of expertise of her best friend's mother, but she was fairly certain that Arcosians reproduced asexually. The teen of course brought this up to the man, but received only a flustered response about how they were to be her husband's children. Gira wasn't buying what this snake oil salesman was selling, however.
He clearly said earlier that she was the one that was having the children. Gira was nice to the man and paid him a small sum of money, but she was quick to leave and continue on her wandering journey to find the real, true, fortuneteller's palace. She had not been traveling much longer when she heard a vaguely familiar voice call out to her. Gira turned and looked towards the source of the voice to see a boy around her age slipping and sliding through the sand on his way to her. She recognized the boy, but it took her a moment to remember his name. Then it hit her; Edoma. They had met almost a year ago. They went along with another Saiyan on a mission to find a toy called "Oozaru Arms." It turned out to be nothing more than a cheap toy made of balloons, but the journey to obtain them was a lot of fun. Upon seeing Edoma, she gave him a big smile and waved.
"Edoma!" She walked to where he was to meet him. "Yo, long time no see!" She greeted him. "I thought you left the planet or something. How have you been? What are you doing here?" Lately, she had been meeting a lot of old friends. Gira was beginning to wonder if there was something bigger at work here. Fate or something like that.

"Yeah, it's good to see you again," he said glad to see a friendly face in essentially the middle of nowhere. She then noted she thought the fellow teen may have gone off planet. Edoma left the planet? He certainly wouldn't mind stopping home for a while, mostly to tell his father of his exploits on earth. Still, he had yet to either beat Dura or find his mother. Regardless, the teen never managed to leave earth, and honestly wasn't too bothered by it. For now, he had his own little adventure to discuss with Gira.
"Well, I was looking for some fortune teller that's supposed to live out here. So far though all I found was some little tent with a very strange man who said I would find a mountain of gold coins at a great cost. Whatever that means." To be fair, this very well could have been the fortune teller he was looking for, he was given very few details himself, so upon meeting Xamma, the hybrid was sure that this whole thing was a wild goose chase. He then figured it was safe to tell Gira why Edo was looking a for this fortune teller in the first place. "I was HOPING he could tell me about with this weird feeling I've been having for a while now. At first, I thought it was a lack of recent training, but even after I train it comes back after a little bit. So I figured someone with some mystical power could tell me."
Edoma glanced back towards the direction of the tent, honestly a little let down, this feeling had been with him for a while without stopping, only temporarily sated when he fought. That would hopefully change now that he had some company, having someone else with him certainly couldn't hurt. "What about you? What brings you out to the desert?"

"Oh, that guy." Gira frowned slightly at the mention of the fortuneteller in the tent. "Yeah, I met him too." She chuckled upon recalling the "fortune" he gave her. "That guy told me that I would marry a rich Arcosian and have a bunch of kids. I had to inform him that Arcosians reproduced asexually. That made him pretty flustered." She giggled slightly. "But that's funny, i'm actually out here for the same reason! I grew up in this region, so I heard a lot of stories about the fortuneteller in the desert. I had some time to look, so I figured i'd just go on this little... "side quest" I guess you can call it." She smiled warmly. "I thought it would be a lot of fun. I guess it kind of is, but I wish I could find this thing already."
Next, she decided to focus on what Edoma said about a "feeling" he had that he was trying to find out about. Gira reached out and felt his power. It was quite low, but then again, he could have weighted training gear on. "Are you wearing your weights? If so, you should be pretty strong without them. That feeling you're having could be an omen to something greater..." She remembered how she felt right before she unlocked her Super Saiyan form. She didn't get angry very often, even in a fight... but there were a couple of times before she unlocked the form where she felt a flash of anger and power when she was pushed into a corner. Little did she know at the time, this was her knocking at the door of Super Saiyan.
"I assume you've heard of Super Saiyans, right? Awhile ago, when I wasn't as strong as I am now, I had some strange feelings that I couldn't quite explain either. I soon discovered that what I was feeling was... I guess the best way to put it is that it was my inner Super Saiyan trying to get out." She thought for a moment. "Hmm... if that's the case..." Gira seemed like she was thinking pretty seriously about something. Eventually, she grinned and nodded to herself. "Okay! If you want, we can train and help you unlock this power."

Edoma couldn't help but let out a small chuckle upon hearing his fellow hybrid meeting the miss-fortune teller. "Sidequest huh? Interesting, that's a fun way to put it," he mused out loud. "Yeah, I think it's been pretty fun, especially since I get to get away from the north for a while. Seriously it is FRIGID this time of year. Besides that Xamma guy is at least worth a laugh looking back." He chuckled again.
"Something greater..." he once again thought aloud. Gira than asked if the saiyan was wearing his weights. "Of course, I try to wear them as often as possible. I even got them reweighted a few days ago, the damn things were getting to be too light." Edo wasn't entirely sure what a great omen and his weights had to do with each other. Casting them off as just an afterthought, the teen tried to think of what this clawing feeling could possibly allude to. It was the most present when he was just sitting around doing nothing, but was most intense when he was fighting, as if whatever was trying to break free was most stimulated during training, then tired out afterward.
Then came the million zeni question. Had Edoma ever heard of the legend of the Super Saiyan. Of course, this was less legend these days and more, select few of the most elite fighters that achieved the powerful form. It was more legendary in the sense that it was awe-inspiring than mysterious. "Of course I have, growing up on Vegeta, that's all the other elite kids would talk about. My instructors always said it was something I shouldn't worry about." Then he remembered exactly what his mentors and instructors would say. He wasn't lying, just not telling the whole truth.
'You ARE part human, that's what will hold you back. I'm afraid someone like you could never reach such a state.' Of course, he also remembered when they told him he would stagnate after he reached age twelve, which he felt he could walk right up to them, push them as lightly as he could and still knock them to the ground and laugh in their faces.
Edoma was snapped from his recollection when he heard Gira tell about her own similar experience when she became a super saiyan. "Wait what?" Edo asked bluntly. Surely there was no way someone with her power could reach something that powerful with such a low energy level. Unless she was weighted as well, in which case she could very well dwarf her fellow hybrid quite easily. Then she offered to help him reach that very state of being his teachers said was impossible. "Could you!? Yes please!" he replied ecstatic. This made him forget all about whatever it was he came to the desert for in the first place. "Wait so that means, you really ARE a super saiyan?"

When Edoma mentioned that it was cold up north this time of year, Gira smiled, recalling her spar with Wyntre Cold up in Yunzabit. If she didn't know how to use her ki to keep herself warm, it would have been incredibly easy for her to freeze to death in minutes out there. "Tell me about it. Ever been to the Yunzabit Highlands? It's incredibly cold up there. I'm talking nosecicles and everything." Gira giggled as she recalled the intense cold. "But that's good! Always where your weights. I'm wearing my own right now. They're getting to be incredibly light, though. I'd go and get them reweighted, but..." She frowned. "I don't think I can get them to be any heavier. I bought the heaviest they had." The hybrid chuckled lightly.
"I've taken to gravity training lately. It seems to give me more of a benefit than these weights do most of the time." Gira stretched and grinned at Edoma. "Pardon my saying so, but your instructors are full of it. Anyone with a high enough concentration of Saiyan blood can become a Super Saiyan. I did it. My sensei did it. Neither of us are... "purebloods." I know you can do it too." Gira began digging in her pockets, finally procuring a small capsule from her pants pocket. Pressing down on the top, she tossed it into the sand. In a puff of smoke and a loud boom, her spaceship appeared on the sand. It was a spherical contraption on a tripod, standing at several dozen feet high. Out of the ship's bottom, a long cylinder came out, a door opening up on it. An elevator.
"C'mon, follow me." Gira walked through the doors of the elevator, waiting for Edoma. When he decided to join her, a robotic voice sounded through the elevator as the doors closed.
"Good afternoon, Miss Gira. Is this a new friend? I don't believe he has been here before." The voice was male in nature, with a bit of a british accent.
"More like an old friend, SAM. This is Edoma. He'll be training with me in the gravity chamber today."
"Ah, good afternoon, Master Edoma. I am the AI, SAM. I am designated as Miss Gira's Spacecraft Assistant Manager. Charmed." There was a brief pause before the voice started up again. "Now then, training room, Miss Gira?"
"You got it, SAM." After a slight rumble, the two would feel the sensation of being pulled upwards into the ship for a brief few seconds before it stopped.
"Third Floor. Training Room. Miss Gira, Master Edoma, have a productive workout." With that, the elevator doors opened up to reveal a white-tiled, circular room. In the center was a pillar that went from the floor to the ceiling. On it was a control panel, but the display was currently blank.
"Here were are! My gravity chamber. Not bad for used, right? I cleaned it up real nice. I got it from a guy called Retus in the Saiyan capitol, so it kinda smelled like sweat before. I thought it would never come out." She smiled at the man. "So, ever done gravity training before?"

"You think Yunzabit's bad? Try Mt. Frappe, at night!" laughed Edo. "It was so cold I was hallucinating," he half shuddered, still smiling. "I'm just glad I can laugh about it now." he sighed more to himself but still loud enough for Gira to hear. Gira revealed she was also indeed weighted, though from the way she spoke, it sounded as if her weights were starting to become more of a hindrance than a help. She then went on to recall how her sensei and herself were both half-breed super saiyans, but not before discrediting his instructors. That gave the teen another good chuckle, a year ago he would probably have gone off on Gira for insulting his teachers. Still, two super saiyans, both only half saiyan. Certainly gave Edoma a good morale boost. This caused the hybrids energy to spike ever so slightly with excitement.
Gira then pulled out a capsule containing her spaceship. Widespread use of capsules, and to this day, the teen would always jump just a tiny bit when anything larger than a human car would pop out. The other teen motioned for Edo to follow her onto the newly lowered elevator. The hybrid was then greeted by a male robotic voice. That was new, Edoma never really had the pleasure of talking to an AI, usually, that was the adult's job. "Er, nice to meet you SAM." he replied with a polite trepidation.
Very soon the two reached Gira's training room, it certainly brought back some memories of his time back home on Vegeta. This certainly was a familiar sight, bringing back all sorts of childhood memories for the young saiyan. He was then asked if he had ever done any gravity training himself. "Technically no, my dad let me sit in on one of his gravity training sessions in his own ship, but I was eight, and not quite ready for it at the time, had to leave pretty quick." He returned the smile, hoping to convey that he was more than ready now. "I have a feeling this time will go a lot better."

Gira listened as Edoma explained that he had not trained with increased gravity before, but he did sit in on one of his father's gravity training sessions when he was eight years old. While he did have to leave fairly quickly, the hybrid was impressed that he was able to even stand the gravity at all. "That's okay. We'll start at a nice and easy ten times Earth's gravity." She looked up towards the ceiling. "SAM, activate the damage shield and boot up the gravity device. Ten times Earth's gravity, please."
"Certainly, Miss Gira. One moment." Once the AI went silent, the lights dimmed, various beeps and trills coming from the gravity device. Then a low tone sounded, echoing throughout the gravity chamber. Once everything fell silent, the air suddenly grew incredibly heavy. Gira didn't seem at all bothered by it, having done gravity training at this level many times to get novice fighters started with their own gravity training.
"And here we are. I hope it isn't too heavy for you. Now, time for warmups!" Gira then began to do several backflips, shadowboxing every few flips for a few seconds before changing the direction of her flips. Once she got tired of that, she began to do squats. After a few minutes, she finally stopped, giving Edoma a smile. "Okay, I think that does it for me. So, what I normally do is have people try to catch me. That would definitely be a challenge, but we're looking for something a little more specialized. We're looking to help you become a Super Saiyan." The teen thought for a moment. "Um... okay, so, the key to obtaining the Super Saiyan form is anger plus power. Any Saiyan powerful enough can do it. In fact, I heard it's even easier for hybrids like us to do it."
Gira put a finger to her chin as she thought some more. "You're not quite powerful enough yet. You're close. Incredibly close in fact. However, you need just a little more power, so that's what we'll work towards. Let's start by getting you used to the gravity." The teen slipped into her battle stance. "Okay! Come at me with everything you've got!"

Edoma lurched back, taken unaware by the increase in gravity. However, he managed to stay on his feet quite easily. "Feels just like Vegeta," he noted, a warm smile coming to him. As Gira performed her warm-ups Edo did the same. His time on Earth made him feel lighter than he was originally used to. Of course, after a year of training and fighting and whatnot on the blue planet, the teen had grown far too accustomed to it. The hybrid began with some regular jumps, waiting to add his own flips and such until he was acclimated to the higher gravity. It was a bit of a slow process, at least compared to his sparring partner who was no doubt used to much higher gravity.
Gira then described her usual training regimen. Catching her did sound like it could be a good start for some a little lower on the power scale. Then she described what it took to become a super saiyan. Power and Anger. Edo took a minute to think back. He'd been angry before, but he never experienced the rage required to unlock the super form. What he feels most the time is usually frustration. The saiyan didn't quite understand how it worked. was this one of those 'you'll know when the time comes' sort of thing?
Regardless, it was time to focus on training. Seeming to forgo the game of tag mentioned earlier, Gira urged Edo to come at her with everything, which he was all too happy to oblige. "Alright then, let's do it!" He started off with what would appear to be a head-on charge. However, that would not be the case. Ideally, the teen would use his speed to get behind his opponent and start with a swift kick to the back with plenty of follow up. That would not be the case, albeit fairly close to what Edoma actually attempted.
While he managed to get used to just standing and a few warm-ups in ten times gravity, fighting was a whole different story. Every move the teen made had to be re-worked to compensate for the new weight on his body. There was also the fact that he didn't want to damage Gira's training room, though as long as he stuck with melee he should be fine. If the charge itself would be any sort of success, Edoma would find himself at Gira's side instead of her back, his kick more of a leg sweep.

At Edoma's observation that the gravity felt just like planet Vegeta, Gira smiled. "Yup. I thought that this setting might be the easiest for you. I remember my first time on Vegeta. Thankfully, I had already trained in similar gravity, so it wasn't that hard to move around." After warmups, their spar was finally about to begin. Edoma came at her rather quickly. Definitely quicker than she expected, then went at her flank and attempted a leg sweep. He was still getting used to the gravity, it seemed. The hybrid leaped over his leg sweep with ease. Gira was wearing her weights, true, but even so, the teen was still a great deal faster than Edoma. This was more true thanks to the increased gravity.
Edoma still had to get used to it, while Gira had trained in gravity of this level, and even beyond this level, many times. After the hybrid landed from her leaping dodge of Edoma's kick, she aimed at her opponent with her outstretched palm and unleashed a barrage of ki blasts, standing up from her crouched landing position and charging at her training partner, still keeping up her barrage of blasts. Once she reached Edoma's position, Gira lashed out with a kick towards the side of her training partner's head, following up with a series of punches and kicks to his face and midsection. "Come on, show me what you've got!"

So his first attack went about as well as one would expect given the new heaviness weighing on Edo's limbs. In fact, it was disastrous, leaving the poor teen being pummeled. However, Gira wasn't letting him give up easily, instead urging him to step things up himself, which the teen was more than willing to do. However, there was the slight issue of he was currently getting tenderized. Judging by the aggressive response from his opponent, however, it was safe to assume that this room could certainly take its fair share of punishment. Figuring now was a perfect time, Edoma tried out his relatively new technique.
[V2] - Cherry Shocker (stun) used.
With their gap in power, it was safe to assume this wouldn't leave Gira paralyzed for long, if at all. Still, if it was enough to at least distract her, Edo would try and get behind his opponent, shotgunning a wave of ki blasts towards her. He knew he had to take this seriously, what with the higher gravity and the fact he was fighting a super Saiyan. The hybrid decided to keep his distance for now, following his shotgun attack with his own barrage of ki blasts. The shooting movements would also hopefully allow Edoma to finish getting used to the times ten gravity before trying more physical moves. "Just want to make sure I don't break your training room!" he called excitedly. Despite the rocky start, he was enjoying himself.

Gira was in the middle of charging her opponent, peppering him with ki blast after ki blast when suddenly, she felt an attack collide with her. It didn't hurt, but she suddenly felt herself grow slightly numb. She lost the feeling in her fingers and toes, her concentration broken just long enough for Edoma to stop her assault long enough for him to get behind her, unleashing an assault of his own. Gira turned to face the other hybrid, as the stun didn't last for long, and covered her face and midsection with her arms to guard against the oncoming attack. The bundles of ki burst against her form, generating several small explosions and covering her gear with soot.
The hybrid leaped out of the assault, flying over Edoma's had and to his back before landing on the wall behind him with her feet. With a grunt of effort, Gira kicked off of the wall and rocketed towards Edoma, aiming to strike him in the direct center of his back with a heavy kick. Whether that succeeded or not, she would hold herself in the air with her ki, aiming a flurry of kicks at Edoma's head and back before dropping onto the ground again, landing on her feet. Without missing a beat, she would continue her assault, this time adding a flurry of light punches into the mix. Gira was almost finished warming up. Soon, she was going to get serious.

At first the teen thought he was starting to get somewhere against his opponent, the series of small blasts appearing to be enough to stop her. Of course, he would soon be proved wrong as she sent herself soaring of Edoma's head, giving her the perfect opportunity to land a heavy blow to his back. However, the saiyan managed to brace himself, not in time to block the hit, but at least make it a little easier, the impact still eliciting a pained growl. He then saw Gira going for a kick to the head. This time the teen was ready, bringing his arms up just in time to block a fair amount of the kicks. Then it occurred to him. Edo wasn't making progress with his opponent, but he was definitely starting to become accustomed, or rather re accustomed to the new gravity. It really was like fighting back home, the thought alone giving Edoma a surge of confidence.
Morale boost or not, Edo was brought back to the melee onslaught, receiving, even more, punches and kicks. This time the hybrid was able to keep himself focused, picking up that Gira's punches felt lighter and just a bit slower than her kicks. Edoma tried to use this possible new information to his advantage, using what he hoped was her lighter attacks to allow himself to counter with his own set of punches and kicks. Edo was hoping to start his own high-speed clash to give himself some time to recover some energy from his shocking technique. Though judging by Gira's rising speed, she was about to take this fight up a notch. Whether or not he managed to properly counter, he was hoping he could at least block some of his opponents attacks, trying to gauge just how fast Gira was before the fellow hybrid got serious. Gira noticed her opponent becoming more and more accustomed to the increased gravity, as evidenced by how much quicker he was moving and how he was coming up with more effective strategies. He noticed her lighter punches, countering with several punches and kicks. Gira was struck by several of them, but managed to move out of the way just in time on others. The hybrid knew that ten times gravity would be simple for Edoma to master, but she didn't know that he had grown up on Vegeta, which made mastering the gravity even easier. It was a little bit of an oversight on Gira's part, but it was an interesting development all the same. She figured now was the time to turn up the heat.
Dashing backwards away from her opponent with two leaps, Gira got in a ready position by spreading her stance and clenching her fists, bending her arms slightly. Gira raised her power to its very limit with her weights on, a violet aura erupting around her body. The teen charged at her opponent, crouching down low and sliding towards Edo, lashing out with an upwards kick towards his chin, aiming to send him up into the air. Should that prove successful, she would vanish from sight, reappearing above Edoma to attempt to pummel him with a series of punches and kicks, aiming to send him down to the floor.
