Hadron had been flying around the great plains for hours. He never felt more free than in this moment. The sterile, bland white rooms of the laboratory never offered him enough space to properly fly like this, but now he was free to do whatever he wanted! Touching the clouds, and flying alongside the birds, Hadron eventually remembered what he had to do: become stronger. But how could he do that? He had a few methods in mind.
Landing down on the grassy planes, he could feel the wind brushing against his face, his hair being messed up by it, and the cool breeze against his skin. Eventually, he let these feelings to the side, and adopted a fight stance, the same he had used during the virtual training sessions. He didn't have any fancy holographic projectors to give him an opponent, but his own mind was more than enough. Closing his eyes, he visualized an enemy in front of him. The same size and height as him. The sillhoutte punched Hadron first, but he countered by grabbing the enemy's fist, spinning him around, and launching him into the stratosphere and into the Sun. Hadron slowly opened his eyes. "No... That's not right. I'm pretty sure I can't do that..."
Slightly defeated, Hadron took flight once more, this time heading towards a forest, instead of no location in particular. Landing was tricky. Well, "landing". He really just crashed into a tree, snapping it in two, but also giving himself a splitting headache. He hadn't really gotten the hang of controlling his Ki too well.
"Ow, oooww!" Hadron cried out, the pain receptors in his body practically screaming as he rolled on the floor, holding his head with both hands. Slowly, he looked up to see the green landscape around him, so peaceful that it distracted him of the pain on his skull. Small animals and insects were roaming around the place, making their homes on the trees and the dirt below. Getting off of the ground, he dusted himself of all the dirt on his clothing, and looked at the tree he had snapped in two. Maybe he could use that for training? He walked over to it, crouching down and holding it by the underside, managing to heft it up to his shoulder with some effort. "Hmm... Maybe I really am stronger than I thought!" And with newfound confidence, Hadron threw the log high up, almost reaching the top of the other trees! When it started to come crashing down, Hadron was already prepared. He had quickly charged his hand with Ki, and brought his fist to the log when it was about an inch from crushing him. The result was expected, as the Ki had supercharged Hadron's attack, causing the log to explode into smaller pieces. Hadron's excited, victorious celebration didn't last for long, before he noticed the alarming amount of splinters in his hand.
Having repeated the same process for an hour or so, having to painfully remove the splinters from his hand every single time, Hadron had already felt more "powerful", that being the only way he could explain it. He felt a better flow of the Ki in his body, most likely as a result of using the Ki-empowered punches. "So... Ki's like a muscle? The more I use it, the stronger it becomes..." Keeping that in mind, Hadron cocked his fist back, directing all of the energy in his body towards it, charging it for as long as he could before striking at a tree. He expected the tree, to break, but not for the excess energy to spill out and destroy about 6 other trees behind it. Hadron just looked wide-eyed at his own fist, as well as the ludicrous amount of splinters embedded on it.
Hadron had decided to become a professional Tree-Puncher for the rest of the day.
