Denim fled the cold northern half of the world having lost to a demonic man after having gotten into a fight with a Saiyan woman named Amar, her son, and a one-eyed goat man as well as some young man with a kid. She was quite cold but alive with her child on her back in a backpack yet willing to keep going as she floated down into a desert to camp for the night. It was freezing like the north even with her torn up snow gear on so she opened her back took out her kid and a capsule and threw the capsule out to reveal a big four story beach house. No time was spent getting inside and once in there she dashed about the house after putting her child Silk on a kitchen counter in order to find some clothes. She'd then strip out of her snow clothes and put on some black robes with a blue obi and focus her mind. A message erupted from the depths of her mind going out as far as she could to her ally Alaistair and t said, "Alaistair, I got into a bit of trouble while training up north. I'm fine along with Silk but we've made a detour and ended up in the desert. I'm sure if you focus on my energy you can find me." With this information released only to him she hoped he'd come soon. Denim then made her way over to the counter, a space big enough for three tall stools and sat down in one waiting for Alaistair to arrive. She was exhausted yet after having pummeled people and gotten pummeled herself in order to protect her kid during what was supposed to be friendly sparring Denim now found her body was siphoning off energy to every part of her body to reduce the pain. It also seemed to feel like it had gotten stronger. "I'm almost to my big goal," she told herself as she thought of her desire to attain something far superior to superhuman strength. It was all she could do to hold back her excitement as she witnessed Silk crawl around the counter for the first time ever and giggle. Perhaps the child was reacting to her joy, or perhaps not. Either way both were performing amazing feats. Alaistair

(Thread PL: 246,194)
Alaistair had been socializing in the Cherry Valley Loft's hotel lounge with some of the civilians staying at his hotel. One of them had been a small time soldier in the BBA that was stationed in the Southern Capital for the next several months, while the others were simply friends visiting! After a bit, he had chosen to go get some grub from the restaurant in the hotel, when he'd been given a message telepathically. He straightened up, his brow furrowing as Denim explained that she got into some trouble.
"That bastard Zyajin," Alaistair thought to himself, before sending a reply to her, stating, "I'll be there in a few seconds."
Alaistair looked over at Dorgia, signalling him that he was in charge while he went out. Without waiting for the stony old man's response, he sprinted out the door and rocketed into the sky! He let his energy sense guide him to Denim's location, feeling that she was out in the Western lands of the main land. Without much time, he bolted through the clouds, a jetstream following him because he was moving so fast! He landed yards away from Denim, seeing that she'd set up a small hut of some sort. There were bruises upon her arms, while the baby was crawling along the counter.
"Denim, what happened," Alaistair questioned, walking up to Denim and the baby under this structure they found, "Did someone attack you while training?"

"I'm all right," Denim stated turning to face him at he landed near her at what seemed to be hyper sonic speed, "I just went up into the mountains far to the north to train by myself ran into a nice enough seeming Saiyan woman and then learned she wasn't so nice. She-she tossed Silk and I got mad at her and upset quite a few people in the region doing the same thing as I."
She bowed her head then added softly, "Hope you're not mad I just wanted to go out and get stronger. I'm close to a new source of power I know it! I've got to have that power to solidify my ability to protect Silk and prepare for the future."

Denim explained what happened, stating that they were both alright. However, this saiyan person apparently grabbed and tossed Silk, warranting Denim to rightfully get angry! This, however, caused other training in the area to become annoyed and fought her? On top of this, she thought that Alaistair would get mad at her for training herself! He shook his head in response to her stating this, replying verbally too, "I am not angry at you. Knowing you're safe is more important right now, along with Silk. I want you to tell me everything that happened and who was involved."

"Ok, I guess I can list them off," Denim stated raising up her right and slowly counting off who was there. "There was me, Silk, and that petite Saiyan woman with brown hair who seemed older than me I believe. Then there was a goat man with one eye and curved that stepped in. I think one of them was broken, anyway, the Saiyan woman's son also came. He had greyish colored spiky hair and after I told him what was finally going on he was quite upset. Next, there was a muscular demon man with a red skin tone like yourself, maybe he was human though as he didn't have any horns or a tail like a demon and so I thought he might be human too. Lastly though there was a kid with black hair and a sword I think that tried to step in and help me. I'm not 100% sure if he died or not but I don't care sine we're alive."
Denim ended chattering on about her situation and tears began to form in her eyes. "Al, I-I, uh am a weakling. I can't be this way. I can't always rely on someone randomly showing up like you to save me. I've done this when conquering planets, I've done this in scenarios like this, I just really need you to help unlock the rest of my power. I don't want to have this happen again. I've already died once and that really hurt."
Denim took here left sleeve and wiped away her tears. Under her robe, in spite of being injured, she allowed her power to flow and caused her muscles to begin bulking up. She was going to continue the harsh fighting Sansho put her through. She wanted to because she realized he was right when he said she wasn't worth his time or at least indicated it. It was likely Alaistair would see and feel her power rise butshe didn't care. She needed to fight more in order to get to her goal quicker now. People were just becoming uncommonly as strong as she was lately.

"Okay," Alaistair would state in between each small description. The saiyan mother's description reminded him of someone he met recently at the Loft. Maybe a month or so ago... When Alaistair recalled and had a sneaking suspicion on whom, which caused him to tightly crack his neck after Denim finished her descriptions of these individuals. THe last one, the demon guy that looked human, could've been anyone as far as Alaistair knew! However, what he noted about this individual was that they seemed to have a fight-loving mentality about them!
Denim begun to break down into tears, finding her to be losing control of her energy. Alaistair walked up to her, putting his hands on her shoulders and telling her, "Denim, dear. I need you to think of where you are right now instead of what happened in the past. You are here, with me and Silk, in the middle of a desert! All alive and well."[/color]
Alaistair pulled her in for a hug, a hand cradling the back of her head with the other at her back, if she allowed him to. He thought to himself, "She is too keen on trying to strengthen herself in this manner... It may be time to teach her how to balance herself out, if she's so intent to become strong."

"I'm alive... that's right..." Denim muttered to herself, "...but I shouldn't have let that happen." She whispered to Alaistair as she felt him pull her into a hug and place a hand softly on the back of her neck. Denim craned her neck away from Alaistair to her right looking at the desert beyond their current location and the vast emptiness. "Alaistair, we may be in a desert but what if this place isn't safe either? I might not be so lucky like the last few times where people have clearly spared me in some form or fashion. I have experienced death, and like I said, I don't want to do that again." Her power would recede and her bulky form would return to its normal state as she finished speaking. She did this because even though she didn't feel safe here now in the back of her mind Alaistair was here. He, who was her only major ally in her mind at the moment, was here to help her. "Al-Al if you don't mind though, now that you've maybe calmed me down here just a little, please back off. I don't want to do something I could regret." Denim told him feeling her heart rate increase inside her chest. She really wanted to kiss him again like she had before, no, push their bond further. Him coming here in her time of aid proved he was serious about her but she needed to prove herself to him in the long run. She recalled him indicating she was more then special to him in the past and that he loved her but she wanted to tie the knot. They'd only dated three to four times but Denim knew he was a man she'd always come back to for things. He was reliable. She looked to Silk crawling on the counter and now watched as the little girl flipped over and batted at her long Saiyan tail. "I'm glad she hasn't transformed ever into a giant ape," Denim thought to herself remembering how her future form had done so when Denim cruelly pushed her out onto Konats' surface, "it'd ruin the moment." She pulled her hand behind Alaistair's back and gently placed it on just above his tail while leaning her head forward so it rested on his neck. Alaistair

"You say that to someone's been in that position before," Alaistair replied after she spoke and calmed down a bit. She requested soon after that he release her and give some space. Yet, she brought a hand just above his tail. The giggle of the tyke was acknowledged as she played around with her own tail like a mutt, as well as a comment about her not going ape on them! He snickered and commented, "Aye, that it would."
Alaistair released her from his hug, now that she was calmed! He'd not step away unless she wanted, though.
"Speaking of control, it seems to me that you will be needing to learn just that," Alaistair stated, "It's become readily apparent that, yes, you are able to control your energy and increase it sixfold. There is no arguing that! However, we have to take this to the next level, since it is important that you and I do not fall behind those who'd try to challenge and harm either of us."
While she was feeling she was in the midst of a breakthrough, it appeared to Alaistair that she didn't know how to achieve the next stage. She was a human, and not many got to the point that she was at and even fewer beyond even Alaistair's own strength! They are easily able to adapt their minds and push through barriers that should be hard to break if they know what that barrier is made of. In this case, to Alaistair, her ki was so split apart from her physical form that it'd cause her body to be like a balloon and inflate, instead of assisting her body to adapt itself.
He asked her, "You wish to get stronger is something I've not let go unnoticed, and I've helped you develop control that energy of yours before. However, do you trust me to help you?"

"I-I do trust you," Denim stammered looking deep into his eyes, "but like you've said you have helped me before and I've yet to do much other then complain and not offer you anything back in return that's substantial."
Denim folded her arms behind her back when she suddenly felt a large pool of energy form above them. Suddenly, a young woman with long black hair and green wearing a white kimono landed on the roof of her abode. She cried, "Denim, where are you sorry loser? You abandoned me on a planet!"
The voice sounded familiar to Denim whose superhuman powers could definitely hear this person's voice above her. She held up a hand in front of Alaistair and uttered, "I'd love to be unchallenged and control my power beyond a six fold threshold but at times I've felt I've hit my limit. Perhaps I should... just move forward... hold on."
"DENIM!" the woman on the roof of her home screeched. It was definitely the voice of her former ally Jacquette who returned because Denim, having kicked her out on Namek, had never actually signed off on her release contract for the work she'd done. She'd gotten her money but now realized until Denim signed off on her with her Jacqueette couldn't easily get another job being a bodyguard or assistant to anyone else and that's what she wanted to do.
At this point, Denim had to hold her ears and step out walking past Alaistair as she did. She looked up at the roof to find Jacquette kneeling there and asked, "What do you want?"
"Get me out of your stupid contract. I can't work with anyone else until you do. And if I do, I get half my usual rate." the young woman stated.

Denim stepped away, as she replied about not giving him anything substantial to work with. Alaistair shrugged, stating, "If you feel you gotta do something, then-"
Loud shouting came from high above, a feminine voice shrieked, interrupting Alaistair. Denim seemed to think that she should just move, having hit this ceiling, before telling Alaistair to hang on. Alaistair crossed his arms, while getting over to where Silk was on the counter, leaning on it while Denim went to handle her business with this individual! A black haired woman wearing robes that covered her notable figure came down to Denim, and was quickly on about her work that she'd completed long ago, only she needed to be signed off by Denim to be able to go and work on other jobs so she could get full pay from them! Otherwise, she'd be losing 50% of the money for each job she took.
"Ah, she hired someone," Alaistair thought, his eyebrows raised, "She's not too strong, but... Probably if they did some training they could help Denim out. She should be able to more than easily be able to help her out. Gotta see what Denim's going to do though..."

"You..." Denim stated putting her hands on her hips and realizing that the woman before her was Jacquette a person whom she had work for her before. "...I already paid you." "You kind of shouted at me and threw money at me the last time we met. I want to be paid." Jacquette demanded stepping towards her with a mean look in her green eyes. Denim nodded then pulled out a wad of Zeni she had she'd hand it to Jacquette who would then take it from her and put it inside the fold of her kimono. She'd then smile and say, "You're welcome Jacquette now go. I don't think I want to work with you anymore if you've come crawling back to me to do so." Jacquette frowned then turned away saying, "At least you paid your debt back." Denim though would have an even bigger smirk form across her face as Jacquette now started to leave. She'd grab Jacquette's kimono at super sonic speed that outclassed the younger woman, take back her own money save for a few bills, and let go of Jacquette's kimono. Jacquette wouldn't like be any the wiser until she checked later and saw a ton of cash missing or for some reason Alaistair stepped in. But for now the woman would leave thinking her money was paid back to her while Denim secretly tried to stuff the same bills she'd given in the folds of her own kimono. Alaistair

"... Denim," Alaistair spoke telepathically to the silver haired woman, "Don't be teaching your kid to steal from someone you had a fair deal with!"
"Excuse me, miss," Alaistair called out, pulling out a similar value of money from his pockets, "Your cash fell out of your Kimono!"
Alaistair, at this point, would be standing next to Denim. He'd further talk to her telepathically, "It pays well to have friends. This woman's decently strong, but if you pay her to follow you around, it may help you out tons to develop your strength... And also prevent any mishaps from happening! I've got those three back at the Loft handling business and work, and if there's any sort of ruffian that tries to ruin the place, they'll definitely be able to handle it. Even someone around my strength would be wise to not start crap there while those three are present. If you're sparse on cash, I'll help you out there. We'll work something out later."

I hardly think she can understand what's going on. Denim scoffed while sticking her tongue out at Alaistair for his chastising manner. Meanwhile, Jacquette felt a strong gust of wind blow through her kimono and when it stopped she realized as she placed her hands on the side of it felt lighter. She spun around soon realizing something was missing and found the demon with Denim holding her money. She'd grab it and state, "Thanks, I don't know why you're with that woman sir but for whatever reason don't go trusting her too much. She doesn't take good advice well. I only came back because my contract with her prior was for more Zeni then I had been given at the time I left." Denim, in the meantime, rolled her eye and mentally told Alaistair, She's the one you shouldn't trust. Jacquette seems nice enough on the outside but she works for my parents I can tell you that. I'm sure of it and I don't know a thing about them. On top of that, when I was pregnant, she was an extremely poor judge of noting my physical capabilities. I was told by her to stop training when I was in the later stages of that. Up to that point I literally had no problems, seriously, it was abnormal and to top it off the damage I suffered from her ignoring her was really minimal. I just ripped a few muscles in my stomach and not all that badly either. She's not like your hotel employees who have actual skills nor do I need any of your money to get by dear. She'd then walk over to Jacquette and state, "Alaistair wants to have me make you my friend but I know we tried this before. It won't work." Here eyes would glare deeply into the other woman's eyes with a ferocity she'd experienced in the past. "Of course it won't. You hardly listen to anyone. Like I just told this man here with you I'm only here to get my money." Jacquette indicated pointing her index finger in Denim's face. Denim chuckled and answered, "That's fine. You're not all that strong so I don't want you around anyway." "I wouldn't want to stick around. I think that last time I saw you hired on that creepy woman claiming to be from the future and actually believed her." Denim couldn't fault her there for that information. She had believed that other Silk was actually her daughter from the future but as things stood she'd never believe her again if she ever showed up once more. Jacquette being around would only make her think of that stupid mistake she'd made. She couldn't rehire her even though as she pulled her phone in the folds of her kimono out and looked at it she had setup a contract to hire someone and had Jacquette's name all over the new contract. The power though she was sensing from the woman was all the same though as previously shown. There was no reason to keep her around if she hadn't used her time alone to get stronger like Denim had. "Well, I can tell you that she's not wrong if you're hurting yourself the way you are," Alaistair chastised Denim. She brought the money back to Jaquette, the two of them both arguing about not trusting one another.
Alaistair snickered, while stepping up next to the two as they bickered at each other. He stated, in a callous tone, "The reason I am out here, and also why I think you two shouldn't be bickering and be trying to help each other out is because Denim got jumped while visiting the Northern Mountains with the little one over there just trying to get a workout in!"
He put a hand on his hip, pointing to and from Denim and Jaquette.
"From what I hear, though Denim has issues with you and you her," Alaistair spoke bluntly, "is that you wanted her to take caution with herself in the later periods of her pregnancy and didn't do that! Now, I know you're a mercenary and all, but to me, you showing that concern shouldn't go unwarranted. To try and state otherwise is a pretty damn stupid thing... Which is why I think Denim here should hire you at a much higher rate than what you are working for right now! I'm guessing only, what? 2000 zeni? Less?"

I'm totally stronger then I look Alaistair. A few extra push ups or whatever in heavy gravity don't hurt. And, back then, I really did believe the extra hard work outs would keep me healthy to the end of my pregnancy. I was totally right in that regard and you know what I likely extended my life for it. The healthier you are the better you live they say. Denim answered him mentally while continuing to stare at Jacquette. She hunched her shoulders over too and looked ready to attack her at a moment's notice.
Jacquette glared at her a moment longer then turned to Alaistair with a smile on her face and reached out to pat him on the right shoulder with her hand. She answered, "Yeah, that's totally right! You understand me! I work hard to keep Denim healthy/alive and she pays me for it about 2500 zeni. It's not much but I'll say this we went to the same school together so we should..."
"Ha, I don't think we did," Denim interrupted stomping her foot down next to Jacquette. "You have always seemed too eager to work with me. And, I remember having met you for the first time when you punched me."
Jacquette jumped back from Denim's foot in fear hoping not to get her foot smashed as she came between her and Alaistair and continued to speak as she landed ten from from the two of them. "I-I, alright, I don't have a job just to be your friend or caretaker. I'm supposed to keep an eye on you. I'm sure you remember fighting many other ladies your age throughout your time there. It wasn't just because it was a martial arts school but because it was grand laboratory meant to answer one question: 'What if we returned humans to their ancestral mind set and forced them to pass on the legacies of violence modernity now loathes?' Are they like other many of the other creatures in the galaxy prone to fighting?"
