Name: Chezant (pun on Chestnut)
Alias: The Courageous Canine, The Fearless Fido
Species: Zooanthrope (Dog)
Gender: M
Age: 25
Appearance: Stands slightly shorter than Yamcha. Has a messy, mutt look to him, with reddish brown fur color, a scruffy tail and fox-like ears with a cream colored tail tip, underside and insides of ears. Has a pretty athletic, trim build due to his rigorous ‘training’ he goes through, albeit nothing too extremely muscular like the likes of more powerful fighters and heroes.
Hero Outfit: Wears a green vest with blue sleeves, an orange ‘belt’/midsection of sorts, alongside black boots with green stripes and blue soles, alongside a reddish scarf and goggles for a ‘mask.’
Personality: Good minded if not a bit easy to please and naïve, Chezant has a good heart and genuinely wants to do the right thing by protecting people. He can still get scared of people who have power levels far exceeding his own, but he is able to put that aside and keep fighting to the best of his ability. Still, it is that same tenacity and gung-ho attitude that can land him in more trouble than is what would be healthy for him.
History: Chezant was born in a normal, small part of the Eastern Lands, where he spent most of his life. He was more or less average in every aspect of his life; a good kid with a good heart willing to do whatever was needed of him. But ever since he was a mere pup, the mongrel had one burning desire above all others; to be a hero. Like the famed Hercule Satan, or King Chappa before him. Ever since the day he first saw Mr Satan take down the evil Cell (in a recreation of the scene, sure, but everyone knew it really happened!) he was determined to become as strong as he could, just like his heroes!
Dedicating much of his life to his hero training (aside from the odd jobs he took to finance it), he had managed to make something of a name for himself…as the local wack-job who might as well believed he could fly to the moon if he wanted to be a hero. Still, Chezant persevered until he finally got his chance; a group of thugs trying to rob an old cat-lady! Springing to action, he finally got the action and recognition he had yearned for: granted he nearly got killed in the process, and only won through a few lucky strikes, but he had proven his caliber when he beat up the thugs and stood proudly as the police warned him not to interfere like that. Regardless, Chezant knew that this indeed was his calling; he would dedicate his entire life to being a hero to whomever may be in trouble; whether they want his help or not.
Managing to scrape up enough money from his minor vigilante work to make an outfit and get an old, outdated arm cannon, he would continue trying his best to save the innocent; although while his actions may have been well intentioned, some lunatic running around in a weirdly colored outfit and brandishing a laser blaster, albeit relatively weak and more of a stun-gun to higher power level individuals, generally put him at odds with the Police Force of whatever city or village he was ‘protecting’. His naiveté, misplaced but genuinely good intentions and his clean record where perhaps the only two things that were keeping him from being arrested.
Time passed, and while Chezant would help bring in criminals without complaint (much to the uneasy thanks of the community), he couldn’t help but feel unfulfilled; he just wasn’t doing ‘enough’ for the good citizens of the Eastern Lands. That was until there came heroes and villains that put his own powers to shame, such as the recent Saiyan Invasion. Try as he might to fight alongside, or in the case of the villains against, he was always swatted away without a second thought. Beaten up and broken, he recovered from his numerous incidents with a new knowledge; he had a long way to go before he could become a true hero.
Searching for training facilities that would push his body to the limits, he took up a few jobs to pay for the expenses of such advanced training facilities. And when he joined, he went in giving it his all. That wasn’t to say he nearly broke every bone in his body and ripped every muscle to ribbons from the gravity chambers that many of the more powerful warriors and heroes used. Miraculously, he survived and had managed to (somewhat) sharpen his skills in combat. With that being said, he continues his duty as a mighty ‘warrior’ of the people (and hopefully not die in the process.)
