Dango had definitely gotten stronger since the death of his master, but one thing was for sure the young warrior wasn’t strong enough to face a threat like his master had. It was time for him to return to the desert once again, and to train his body through the grueling environment like his master had taught him. Once he was in a wide open area he began to shadow box with himself imagining a strong enemy was battling him. The particular enemy that he had in mind was the very demon that killed his parents, and his master gave his life vanquishing.
The bought was getting intense, and the young earthling was giving the shadow of the demon his all, but the speed of the demon was too much for the warrior to keep up with. He continued to trail the image of the demon until the demon finally dealt what would’ve been a powerful blow. The sheer thought of the attack was something that knocked the boy on his hind quarters. ”Damn it! Why can’t I beat you?” He would shout as he slammed his fist into the sand beneath him. Dust would fly as the boys frustration would begin to take hold engulfing him in a rage. His fit was halted by the sound of screaming. Without hesitating the man began to run throughout the sandy desert towards the sound of the screams. Once upon disturbing noise he caught sight of a little girl, and her family backed against a rock formation with a pack of wolves apparently hungry prepared to strike a fatal blow. Without hesitation the young man leapt into action moving his body at a high speed that only made him appear to be a blur. Once upon the wolves the boy began to fight the enemies with all of his might. A few punches, and kicks later the pack of wolves decided the meal wasn’t worth having their heads beat into jello. After the threat had passed Dango turned his head back towards the group with a stern look on his face. ”What are you doing out here in the desert? Not to mention you brought your daughter with you; this place is extremely dangerous.”
After scolding the family that had literally risked their lives to come into the desert the father would speak. “We come looking for help from the one the people of Ginger Town refer to as the Desert Coyote. There is a Zoan that is attacking our portion of Ginger town not far from here. He is a beastly entity that wants to take our daughter from us. Do you know where we can find the Desert Coyote?” Dango would nod, ”Yeah, I know the fellow quite well you are speaking to him.” Slowly he would look at the clouded area above him, and a smile would form as he thought about fighting a zoan. This was personally something that he had never before done, but perhaps this fellow would give him the training that he was looking for. Okay, I will take on this zoan, and make sure the pest disappears for good." The group of people made their way to Ginger town, and the hero departed from the group taking a seat at a local restaurant looking onward in the hopes that the zoan would show up.

A Zoan on the Attack!

"UGHHHHHHH, Mitsu do we really have to do this?" Chip asked in an annoyed tone. Mitsu looked behind her back, to see her zoanthrope friend struggling through the heat. She puffed in annoyance. "Yes, we do. Now, stop being lazy and let's finally get to Ginger Town!" The zoanthrope groaned, she still didn't want anything to do with Ginger Town, but she had to do what Mitsu wanted, which was to hunt down the "Desert Coyote." They found certain posters and wanted flyers in West Capitol that told of the zoanthrope criminal. Being the kind girl Mitsu was, took up the the wanted flyers, not for the money, but to catch the criminal. Chip was originally stoked for the mission. She could finally get some action into her life! Just imagine it! Fighting a wanted criminal, who was a zoanthrope just like her! But, her intentions of fighting were cut off by Mitsu, who said that they weren't going to do any violence whatsoever. But instead befriend and talk it out with the wanted criminal. The girl was confident that everyone had a heart, even criminals, and that violence was unnecessary. "All we need is kindness!" Mitsu said before they started their trip to Ginger Town.
So, here they were. An exhausted zoanthrope and a teenager walking across a hot desert. Chip complained most of the way to Ginger Town. Soon, her complaints were met. The heat became unbearable. So much so that Mitsu agreed they should rest somewhere near. The nearest place was a local restaurant, so they entered. Mitsu came in first, urging Chip to come faster. The zoanthrope slouched inside the building, before taking in a deep breath. "AHHH GOD! FINALLY! AIR CONDITIONERS!" The tiny beast soon stood up, shapeshifting to a massive seven feet! She wanted to take in as much of the cold air as possible. No one really noticed the two when they entered. But when Chip, now in her massive seven feet, walked up to the waiter, they screamed in horror.
The scream would be followed up by the reactions of the other customers, also screaming. Chip stood slightly confused. Why were they screaming all of the sudden? "I-It's the Desert Coyote!" someone shouted. Then, it all made sense. Everyone here thought Chip was the wanted zoanthrope criminal! She was a fox, but people commonly get mixed up between a coyote and fox. Also, her massive height must've been threatening. The customers must've never seen the Desert Coyote in person, so they simply assumed Chip was the wanted criminal! Many people ran out of the restaurant, some hiding in the corners. While Chip stood there in annoyance, a person wearing what appeared to be a blue cape sat in a seat next to the zoanthrope.

Dango looked over at the large zoan with a smirk on his face as he saw the people begin to run out of the restaurant. He then took a sip of a glass of milk that he had bought to quench his thirst from travelling through the desert. After guzzling the drink he stood, and wiped the milk mustache from his lip, and looked at the large zoanthrope that was standing before him. ”Hey there big guy, the name is Dango, the people of this here town refer to me as the desert coyote.” A nickname they gave him because of how he had saved the town on multiple occasions. He then cracked his neck, and began to spin his arms in circular motions as he sized up the zoan. ”Would you happen to be the zoan that is taking children from the villagers? If you are me, and you have a little chat we need to take outside.”
He then watched the zoan for any signs of an attack, and was prepared to react if the zoan were to go on the assault. The zoan didn’t really show any signs of hostile action based upon his body language perhaps it was just purely coincidence.

Once the yelling occurred, Mitsu looked around completely baffled! Did the people really think Chip was the criminal zoanthrope?! Then again, it wasn't really surprising considering Chip's height....and how she was a zoanthrope just as stated in the wanted posters...and how her overall appearance was menacing in itself. No wonder they ran away.. Even so Mitsu tried her best to calm down the panic. "N-No no! You've got it all wrong. Chip isn't the criminal!" But by now almost everyone had already left, everyone except man. That man sat right next to where Chip had backed up to. Before Mitsu could ask why he was here, they already stood up high and tall, questioning weather or not Chip was the criminal. They also said they were the Desert Coyote?!
Chip looked behind her shoulder and simply stared for a second. "Haha...no you've got it wrong, Chip isn't the one you're looking fo-" "YES!...Yes, I am the...Desert Coyote." Chip interrupted. Mitsu coughed and forced out a chuckle. "Chiiiip. What are you doinggg?!" Chip whispered to the point where only Chip could hear. "Could you give us a second?" Chip said before huddling over with Mitsu in a circle. "Why are you saying you're the Desert Coyote?!" Mitsu whispered. "You heard the guy, he's the Desert Coyote. Y'know, the person we're looking for. If I don't tell him I'm the Desert Coyote, he'll obviously not be interested! Besides...I want to fight the guy." "Why would you want to fight him?" "If he's a criminal and steals babies, he's obviously strong, right? I might as well." "Fine, but isn't the Desert Coyote a zoanthrope, not a human? He's not it!" "Why would anyone call themselves the name of a zoanthrope that steals babies if they're not really it?!"
The two argued for a while, with their conversation unable to be heard, before Mitsu finally gave in and agreed for Chip to fight them. "Just don't get carried away with the fight." "Yeah, sure." The zoanthrope began to walk out of the door. Before stepping out she said, "You gonna come outside? I am the Desert Coyote after all."

A tired Pracross laid inside a new vacant inn that was previously filled with screaming patrons, all gone silent. Pracross moved the pillow from his head and opened one eye, barely managing to keep it open. Do the people on earth just... take one unholy nap? All at once? The boy sat up and coughed, scratching his chin as he took one step out of the bed and stood up, yawning. another morning for adventure. His training clothes were starting to become dull to him, but he didn't take much mind to it. He ruffled his hair from his nap and ran down the stairs, tripping, and hitting the floor. Lucky for him, no one was inside the hotel to see it.
He walked out of the hotel and walked towards the silence of the city, where the screams and sounds of traffic went away from. If there was trouble in this town, how convenient he would be to stop the ruckus. He traveled at least a mile before seeing a girl, a large fox-like creature, and a familiar face, the Earthling he trained with before. What's Dango doing in ginger town? Though the boy could've asked the same question about himself. There was really nothing in ginger town except good food and noisy people, just liike all other Earth cities.
Pracross walked over to the conflict and stood a fair distance away, crossing his arms in a stance saying "I want to get involved, but also not". He stared down the girl and the beast. They seemed to have a connection, like that of allies or good friends. Pracross had heard mention in town of a monster, but that was urban legend... right? Why would a zoan attack such a populated area? Weren't those the things from "D&D" that were basically floating alien psychic beast that lived under ground?
Wait, no, obviously not, that's quite obviously a fox or something of the sorts... Not some floating brain, though that would be pretty sick....
Pracross made an attempt to wave at Dango, who seemed on guard. He knew his stances pretty well, he was trying to keep himself casual while preparing for any means of attack. The Girl and the beast on the other hand... the girl looked like she wanted no part but the Zoan was ready to wrestle if he could. It was evident in the eyes. |
