It had been some journey. The man had been flanked by pursuers with gunfire, nearly struck by a meteorite, and had a close-up experience of a solar flare. Perhaps a little too close. But at least he got to ride the tail of an icy comet. It was a great view being surrounded by the pale white and blue trail as chunks of ice bombarded the hull of his shuttle. But with so much that had happened, Gaivahros had wondered if the craft was going to be able to make it upon entry of the planet. He prayed to whatever God was in the universe that it wasn't going to flake away and burn up upon entry.
Vegeta was close now. The entirety of its scope couldn't even fit on the monitor screen. The image slowly grew larger and larger as the shuttle proceeded towards the body. Plate and structural frame began to creak as the craft entered the planets mesosphere, the sudden change in temperature from the planet's global heat making slight thermo-expansion in the metal. It wasn't too much of an issue, Gaivahros thought; that was just basic thermodynamics.
What wasn't normal was the sudden jolt and rumbling of the shuttle as it passed into the stratosphere. A sudden thump sounded from the front of the ship, the sudden force, pressure and temperature change from entering the planet's gravitational pull at such a fast velocity caused the hull to implode a little. An amber light flicked on inside the cockpit, with a status screen shimmering on the side monitor. Internal temperatures had begun to rise, and the engine was starting to overheat. With much of the front hull collapsing in on itself, there was restricted airflow and cooling inside the engine bay.
Apparently God wasn't going to be taking his call anytime soon.
"Okay… this is gonna be cutting it close." Gaivahros braced himself. It was the only thing he could do at this point. With the ship out of control for the moment within the stratosphere, and much of the ship having been damaged prior, he could only wait out the turbulence until he had reached the troposphere. It wouldn't take much longer, but the ship was already in a critical state—amber lights flicked to red, and a low siren began to sound within the cockpit. Gauges on the status monitor began to pulsate into the red, nearing critical levels. If it took much longer, the engine would explode, taking the craft with it.
The Heran held his breath and reclined back in his seat. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, waiting for the inevitable.
The ship stopped rumbling. The tinge of red against his dark sight shifted to a below orange. Opening his eyes, Gaivahros paused for a moment before they shifted to the monitors. Gauges dropped to mid-point. Heat levels inside the shuttle began to drop back to comfortable levels. The craft was stable, dropping at a steady pace as it entered through the planet's troposphere. With a sigh of relief, Gai'vahros wiped the sweat from his brow.
Now all he had to do was regain control of the shuttle.
"Alright… gotta make a three-point landing." He reached over and tapped on a few buttons, disabling the autopilot. He placed his hands on the control wheel.
The shuttle drifted over the sky like a shooting star. An aura of blue and white and orange coated it, leaving a trail of bright colours in its wake. The craft passed over a large city-like area, no doubt bringing some attention to itself from the denizens below. At a steady incline, it made its way towards an open expanse outside of the city boarders.
With a heavy crash, the shuttle landed almost nose-first into the ground, embedding itself in the hardened rock. Gouts of mist and steam radiated from its body and poured from the rear jets. The once silver-gold hull was tinged with browns and oranges from the incredible heat from planetary entry.
Pistons fired and gas fired from around the edges of the cockpit bay. The hatch flipped open, and Gaivahros lurched forwards before stepping out of the cockpit. Pushing himself off of the edges of the hatchway, the Heran landed with a soft thud on the earth. He turned to take a look at his landing skills. "Yup. Nailed it." Sparks flew from in and around the shuttle. "Alright, fine. Seven out of ten."
This wasn't going to be able to fly again. Even with the nano-repair unit being somewhat intact from the ordeal, this was going to take some heavy engineering to get it up and running again. Only problem was that he had no supplies or spare parts to get it working again.
The city was his only bet. Only issue was that it was a great deal away from the landing site, with the tops of its buildings barely noticeable over the horizon. He had best start walking.

It was a strange yet silly sensation for the tall incomplete android; who'd recently discovered her warp upgrades to the boots she donned. Not in a good way; she'd been teleported into space and back again to Vegeta in a blink of an eye; the volcanic world she'd landed on teeming with a strange life.
All sorts of races had been on that planet, though a few people yammering on about some Mazoku Dominion had faintly caught what would be interest from the female android. Jishu was still quite confused, it'd sounded like an organization but at least someone had upgraded her memory capacity so fighting didn't take up more than fifteen percent of her memory space.
With a loud bang, she'd appear way above the ship Gaivahros stood under and promptly fell quite a distance and made a large dent in the ship. It was almost comedic how it happened, but broken wires sparked around her as she laid dazed. "That hurt.." She muttered quietly, though it had been with a monotonous voice. She was not programmed with a tone of voice; but it sounded feminine and dull.
Jumping down, the weird person in front of her caught her eye. "Oi you clod, watch where you're landing, you made a mess viewable from space!"

The Heran hybrid had hardly taken two steps forward before he was stopped by the harsh crashing sound behind him. Sharply he turned towards the ship, his eyes meeting with a newfound dent in the back of it, on the panels just above the exhaust ports. A rolling, conceded groan poured from Gaivahros' mouth as he sunk low, lurched forwards. "Why is my ship constantly taking a beating? What did it ever do to anyone…?"
A thud sounded in front of him. Arching back up, he caught the full visage of a person in front of him. Her getup was very odd, and yet looked rather elegant—perhaps even "cool". Armor adorned most of her body, a dark indigo and violet color scheme about it, with gold accents in places. A short skirt veiled her thighs, held up by a gold belt. But what was with her hair? And why was her head so… prominent?
Her tone of voice didn't do much to help in deciding whether or not she was friend of foe. Or at the very least, a nuisance. She even called him a clod! How rude.
"Eh? What do you mean "watch your landing"?" he exclaimed, leaning into her with his hands on his hips. "You're the one who should be watching where they're landing! I mean, just… just look!" The man stomped over to the front of his ship, and turned to face her. "If this—THIS"—he waved his arms about, framing a picture for the android—"is so viewable, then how the hell did you not miss it? This isn't a landing pad, y'know!"
A sudden explosion erupted from the back of the ship where the girl had landed. Chunks of metal and circuitry flung outwards, flying across the immediate area, soaring over the heads of the both of them. Blackened smoke and bright white and orange sparks poured and hissed from the now open cavity in the hull.
With a defeated sigh, Gaivahros hung his head and closed his eyes. "Of course you ended up rupturing the fuel inline…" After a pause, he shook his head and made his way back over to her. "Ah well, what's done is done! No use in wallowing in the past, right? It's not like fretting about it is gonna repair the damage." A hand grasped at the tail of his cape, lifting it up in front of him. His free hand patted and dusted the cloth off before letting it go. "Listen, I need to get to that there city over there," he spoke, pointing a finger towards where the tops of tall buildings loomed over the horizon. "That's probably my best chance of getting some parts to repair the ship. You fancy tagging along?"

Jishu looked at him indifferently as her eyes nor voice gave away any sort of emotion. A piece of metal sent flying through her hair; lit on fire as if it had gone through ki. The golden accents to her hair glowed with energy, along with even the black doing it slightly. He leaned into her and she stared right back up at him, calm despite his rage.
He stomped over to the ship and made some ruckus about fuel intake, before pointing to the city. "Well excuse me, princess. I can't exactly control where I warp to, and I can't exactly fly either. I'll follow you." Her tone was still flat and creepily devoid of emotion as she strode towards the city..

Gaivahros gave out a light huff as he crossed his arms over his chest and turned his nose up at her. "Hey, now. Don't call me "princess." Boys are allowed to have soft, long, flowing hair too," he replied in half humour, walking past her. Though her tone was somewhat mono and without much personality, it seemed as though they both had a similar sense of humour. They're going to get along swell. Probably.
The android had opted to follow the Heran, riding by his side as the two of them made their way towards the city. Gaivahros had hoped that it wasn't going to take any longer than a few hours—at the most, before the sun set. With no supplies, it would end up being a test of survival out here in the wastelands. The gravity here was much heavier and dense than it was on his home asteroid, so flying was out of the question; he'd waste way too much energy doing so, and he couldn't just leave this girl out here on her own considering she couldn't fly at all.
As the two walked on, the Heran turned to her. "So… where are you from, anyway? You come from this planet too, or… just visiting from off-world?" It was idle conversation, but he wanted to get to know her a little more, especially if they were going to be together for some time. Plus it beat a long travel's worth of awkward silence.

The Heran made some dumb reference to whatever the hell a princess was; claiming boys could have long flowing hair too. Standing there with a totally stupified expression, the tall six foot Android simply shrugged. "I don't know what you mean by the hair thing, though I come from no planet. I was born through two creators, names I shall not disclose."
Her voice held no emotion as she strode forwards, eyes fixed on the path ahead of her as the android thought to herself, looking at what a princess meant in the dictionary she had in her head. The dictionary upgrade from Beppa had also been quite useful, albeit there was more information to be added to her knowledge of the alien being.
"Where are you from, and what are you?"

Gaivahros watched the android make a dumbfounded expression. He wasn't entirely sure what she was confused about, though her words told him soon enough. He slipped his hands into his pockets and lifted his head towards the sky in recollection. "Well, you see," he began, his tone like a parent trying to explain something to their child, "princesses are like… really important girls. They wear long, flowing dresses and have beautiful, long, golden hair. Kinda like mine if I decided to dye it."
The Heran couldn't help but snicker. The thought, clear in his mind, of Jishu looking like an old fairy tale princess with that gormless expression of hers was simply too funny.
A momentary silence drifted between the two of them when the girl had asked Gaivahros about himself. He wanted to keep the past few hours to himself, but he wasn't one for lying either. "Well… I come from space," he replied finally. "I came from an asteroid far from here. It was where I grew up. And it was my home. But…" He paused, struggling to maintain his composure. After a moment he smiled from behind the scarf and let out a soft chuckle. "There comes a time when the chicks leave the nest, so… I thought I'd go out and see what was beyond home.
"As for who I am… Well, I'm just a guy looking to go beyond the stars."

Jishu looked at him as a tiny speck of irritation blossomed inside of the Android with the blue skinned freak getting in the mood to mock her. "Well excuse me then. I didn't know."
Her tone had a faint sharpness to it, as opposed to the monotone sound it had previously.

He snickered from behind the red cloth. He looked across at her, and had the urge to give her a gentle pat on the shoulder. He stopped himself short, fearing that she might break his hand or something similar. "Hey, don't worry about it," he responded in a more cheery tone, trying to lighten the mood. "It's not like you offended me with the questions. It's normal to ask that kinda stuff to a new person, right?" Though it, indeed, didn't offend him, it still gave the Heran some trouble. But he would have to learn to cope with that.
He let out a small hum, and wrapped a hand around the opposite wrist. A light tug at it caused the bone to click. "Nah, but in all seriousness… I'm not really sure of what I am. I was born on a Petri dish inside of a glass tank. I don't really bother with thinking about 'what I am' more so than 'what I want to be'. A journey of self-discovery, so to say."
The blue-skinned man paused for a moment, letting a sober silence drift between the two, before speaking again. "I've been thinking, but I've noticed that whenever I'm around a robot, I can't sense their power. Do robots and androids like you have "power"? Or do you just hide it?"

Her purple eyes had become chips of blue ice, her power ten times weaker but through his body language alone, it was obvious he had sought to touch her in some way but thought differently of it; a wise decision. The information given was extremely odd, how life was born from a scientific tool.
A synthetic being off all people; one to have a similar history to her own. Those who played god and gave life to beings not born of a womb, but born through science and technology; though with androids it was a touch of engineering added in.
"I don't know why. Perhaps because our ki is made out of electricity, or not made through a beating heart and life force. Our ki doesn't fade as long as we have working bodies and processors."

Gaivahros noticed her eyes turn a different colour, although he didn't think much it outside of them looking pretty. He wasn't entirely sure of exactly how the android was feeling, what with her tone and expression being so mute. Admittedly, he wasn't sure if robots and machines had feelings in the first place.
He listened on to Jishu's words, his attention fully given. He couldn't come up with any rhyme or reason to disprove the android's theories—it was scientifically sound that an android's ki was based around their own electricity, and thus something people can't sense. He didn't really have much choice but to accept it until a new theory debunked the old.
"I guess that makes sense," he responded, giving a small shrug of his shoulders. "That would explain why I can't sense any other electrical equipment. Though it would be nice to be able to sense how powerful a microwave oven is."
The tops of the tallest towers upon the horizon were beginning to come into view clearly now, showing more of their lengths as the two got closer. It would probably take another few more hours before they were at the city border.

Jishu's eyes had indeed turned a cold blue, eyes sparkling faintly with irritation and the faintest bits of anger. He talked about being useful if he could sense how powerful a microwave oven was.
"Don't trouble yourself. They have electricity but they do not have A-1500 Energy Processor units, as most Androids do. It's a top of the line ki processor tied to the android or cyborg's functioning systems and generated electricity."

The Heran nodded, placing a thumb and forefinger on his chin as he began to ponder. "I see," he began, taking in the information and trying to make sense out of it, "so robots and androids use some sort of processor-slash-engine to convert electric energy into ki. I guess it's somewhat similar to a fusion reactor, only smaller and portable…"
Gaivahros hummed for a moment, deep in thought about the revelation of such technology. He had considered the benefits of having such a thing inside of an android. If this processor could convert electricity into ki, then partnering it with a kinetic generator would create a never ending loop—the proverbial "infinity engine". That could be something to add to the shuttle with a few adjustments. He'll have to see if there was one of these 'A-1500" units in the city.
Flinging his hands behind his head and leaning his head back, he once more looked up towards the sky. He was enamoured by the planet's blue-magenta skies. It reminded him of a cascading nebula. "Well, I'll be the first to admit that I haven't a clue about how androids work, despite my knowledge of cybernetics. Not gonna lie, you interest me somewhat—" he let out a soft gasp and held out a hand, waving it "—"N-Not in that way, because you're a girl or anything! Just, y'know, purely scientifically!"
That could have gone smoother, he thought to himself.

Jishu stared at the Heran before her, though her faint knowledge of thought processes meant his distracted eyes had to be thinking about something. "Don't bother. You have to be totally mechanical or over three fourths mechanical for it to work.'

He shot the girl a quizzical look. It took a moment, but he finally clicked on to what she was assuming. With a snicker, Gaivahros responded, "Hey, no, I ain't thinking about putting processor and engine things inside of me. The only thing I wanna put inside of me right now is a nice, cold smoothie. And probably an egg sandwich."
The two continued through the wastelands. A minute or so later, the Heran stopped. Nearby, among a few large boulders and desert trees, he spotted a trio of wolf-like creatures that were grouped up around the trunk of the tree. Two of them were laid on their fronts, while another was sat up. Seemed as though they were catching the shade beneath the canopies, out of the sun's rays. The thought of it suddenly made Gaivahros a little more hot.
"Hey. You see those animals over there?" he asked the android, nudging his head over in their direction. "They're pretty adorable. Don't supposed there's something in your databanks that could tell me what they are? Y'know, besides the fact that they're dogs."
