I don't know every single thing that warrants a judged soul going to Heaven or Hell, but there is one thing that seems to be obvious from it that sounds pretty broken to me, for several reasons: Killing someone or intent to kill someone. I will quote from Somatotropes' recent judgement:
"Well, you left out the part where you tried to kill a bunch of people you were fighting with. But don't worry about it. Hell isn't so bad. We had some kooks jumping from Heaven trying to get into it. Can you believe it? Had to put up nets it got so bad."
The first problem that I would like to bring up is the fact that while Soma was sent to Hell for simply trying to kill someone, another character by the name of Polara, as well as Tekuma were sent to Heaven even though they attempted the same. Polara attacked Kaile first and tried to kill her from what I have heard, and it seems like Tekuma wanted to kill Plato, yet they weren't given the same treatment as Soma. I know that there are different staff members that play Yemma, but that is no reason for there to be inconsistency. Is there not a judgement page that lets them know how to judge people? Are they allowed to do whatever they please? If that is the case, what would make sense is if there were other IC judges, because this just makes Yemma seem Bipolar. However, I would prefer an actual judgement thread that tells staff what type of people should go where.
Another problem with this is the reason that people are going to Hell. Killing? Really? May I remind everyone that throughout the DB series, killing is something that is required in order to stop criminals from killing the innocent or taking over planets or destroying them. I am confident that someone like Gohan wouldn't go to Hell even though he killed Cell. It is for this reason that I really think this should be changed. I understand that it would be hard to determine if the target of the killing is bad or not, but what should matter the most is if someone is killing someone in order to protect their planet or planets controlled by their group (Soma), self defense, or to stop someone from going on a senseless murder spree.
Also, I think it is unfair to send people to Hell for killing in anyway also because there is no other way on this site to stop a criminal. Say I am in a DE with someone trying to destroy a city and I knock them out. What is stopping them from making yet another DE to destroy that city? There is no mechanical prison system, so ICly, people can break out whenever they please. OOC Voluntary imprisonment won't always work, so that isn't a viable argument against my own. Without an actual prison system, the site is basically forcing my character's hand, JUST like in the show where there is no way an Earth prison would hold Cell, forcing Gohan to end him.
My opinion is this: Create a Yemma Judgement thread letting the staff know how they should judge people in order to be consistent, and to change the killing judgement since sometimes it just doesn't make sense. If the killing judgement doesn't change, then there has to be a prison system, or else the whole judgement system is partially broken. I would like thoughts and opinions from all parties please, then after a bit we can wrap this up with an official vote.
