“Boxing, huh?” The young woman nodded as the younger girl finished feeding the remaining fish to the tiny kitten. Her mind traveled back to Hell, and her battle with Gekido. That man had used boxing to destroy the woman, even when her strength was dozens of times his own. She smiled softly, before looking across the fire at the girl and kitten. “I fought a man who used that as his style. He utterly destroyed me in combat. In fact, I think he would’ve killed me if not for the circumstances we found one another in.” Laughing softly to herself, the woman sighed and continued speaking. “Anyway...about your crime-fighting and superhero career...don’t let that keep you from enjoying your youth. I had my fair share of escapades when I was your age, but mine didn’t involve fighting criminals and super-hero stuff. Hell, I didn’t even know what Ki was then. I think my instructor was a cheat, but it didn’t stop him from teaching me the most valuable lessons.” “All life is sacred; only by sacrificing life do you discredit your own, taking away its value. Only kill when that is the only option left to you; and even then, only when faced by an absolute evil!” The young woman smiled, recalling the time she’d told the old man she was going to kill some bully that had beat up her friend. The old man had sternly rebuked the young Tulip, before demanding she beat him up in order to vent her anger. She’d been crying by the end of it, knowing with every blow she’d hurt the man’s pride more than his body. It was her own inability to be a true fighter that had led to her victory that year in the Woatera World Martial Arts Tournament, which allowed her to restore that damaged trust. The woman than smirked and added another comment. “Also, bikinis are the best clothes for battle; it allows maximum flow of ki energy throughout the body. You’ve heard of that, right?” The woman smiled and waited for Gira’s response, oblivious to the common sense answer for anyone on Earth.

Gira listened intently at the story of her battle with someone who used a boxing style. She used to do that, until she figured something more sophisticated was called for, which led to her creating her own fighting style, following her coach's advice at last. Tulip's story interested her. She wondered what circumstances the other hybrid was in that prevented her from dying. She'd have to probe someday. Gira looked over at the kitten as it curled up next to her and lied down, deciding to take another nap.
The younger hybrid kept listening as Tulip spoke about her old master and the values he instilled in her. What she said about killing interested the hybrid the most. Gira couldn't kill anyone. She had never been put in the situation before, but she figured that she would lack the will to pull the trigger if the situation ever arose. The thought of taking another life sickened her; even if that life had lost all value. When faced with unspeakable evil, Gira wasn't sure she could put an end to it. The hybrid hoped she never had to make that choice, though somehow, she knew that she would be forced into the situation eventually.
When Tulip mentioned that bikinis were the best clothes for battle, Gira raised an eyebrow. "Really? I... haven't heard that before." She chuckled. "Speaking from experience?" Gira quite enjoyed speaking with Tulip, but talking about the two of them training together really got her wanting a good fight. She witnessed Tulip's power from a distance before. It was frightening at the time, but now that she knew the woman, such power excited her. She decided to ask if they could train together before parting ways so she could take the kitten home.
"Hey, Tulip." The girl's tone was one of excitement. "You wanna spar? Get a leg up on our training? I've gotta work hard if I want to get strong." Gira grinned at the hybrid sitting across from her. "Plus, maybe I can learn a thing or two from you."

A strange look crossed the girl’s face, before her gaze fell on Tulip. There was a tension in the air, as the girl took a slow breath and whispered in an excited tone. “Hey, Tulip...You wanna spar? Get a leg up on our training? I gotta work hard if I want to get strong. Plus, maybe I can learn a thing or two from you.” It must be that Saiyan blood; it makes the girl eager to challenge her limits even against an opponent a thousand times stronger than her. The woman’s gaze traveled to the kitten, purring softly on Gira’s lap. Pulling out a capsule, the woman summoned her sleeping materials. A huge mat and pile of blankets appeared, which the woman dumped on the ground near the fire-place. Motioning for the girl to set the sleepy kitten onto the warm blankets, the woman stood up and began walking towards the huge clearing. Stretching one hand out, the woman activated her ki. Energy flowed through her body, making her tank-top ripple visibly in the still air. Stopping a hundred meters from the fire, the woman turned to face Gira. Her gaze was serious, as the woman took a slow breath. “I don’t know if you can sense ki, Gira. But out of respect for your dedication and the desire to not fatally injure you, I’m going to adjust my strength accordingly.” As she spoke, her silver ki vanished and her presence became less than a quarter of what it had been moments ago. The woman hadn’t worked with this little ki in a long time. Throwing a few elbows and feints, the woman ended with her feet shoulder-width apart, one palm thrust forward and her other hand a fist clenched by her hip. Her emerald gaze remained on Gira, unwavering, as the woman spoke firmly. “Here I am, Gira. Just one step on the path to your dream of defending all you love. Let’s make this training worthwhile for both of us.”

Gira resisted the urge to jump for joy, gently picking up the kitten and setting it on the blankets Tulip provided. It stirred for a moment as Gira picked it up, but once the kitten was set on the blankets, it curled back up and went right to sleep. The hybrid followed Tulip eagerly to the clearing where they would be training. When Gira felt the other hybrid's ki flare up, she spread her stance, putting her right knee forward and her right leg back and lowering her center of gravity. She then Put her left fist even with her knee and her right fist back, making her arms parallel with one another. She flared her ki as well, though her energy was much lower than her opponent's. When Tulip said she was going to set her energy to a level Gira could handle, she shrugged.
"Yeah, I can sense your power. That's why i'm so excited. But you have a point. Can't do much training if you break every bone in my body." She joked. She had a Senzu in case of emergency, but she'd rather not use it in training. The teen half-Saiyan felt Tulip's power slowly dwindle down to a level near hers. She'd wait until Tulip appeared ready, then Gira would shift her stance forward. When her friend and training partner spoke of making the training worthwhile for both of them, Gira nodded eagerly. "Yeah. We'll make it a good fight." Her tone was calm and cool. She was in full combat mode now. "Here I come!" She gave her opponent a warning before flying forward as fast as she could, aiming a punch at Tulip's face. This was a feint, however. The real attack was the elbow the girl aimed right at her opponent's stomach.

“Yeah, we’ll make it a good fight!” Gira’s phone wasn’t as soft before; it was more pronounced and full of cool determination. After entering her fighting stance, which was unorthodox to the older hybrid’s untrained eye, the girl had taken a deep breath before speaking. After her response, the girl’s weight shifted forward. “Here I come!” She exploded forward with speed, evidently betting it all on her intensity and training. But, it wasn’t training and determination that won battles. As the fist of the girl shot towards Tulip’s face, the woman’s hand was already moving. The girl’s foot wasn’t planted upon throwing the punch, evidence of her feint. When the girl’s stance slid forward and her body dipped inwards, Tulip’s palm was already resting against her forehead. If Gira’s intended elbow struck Tulip’s stomach, she would find that the woman had already tightened her muscles in reaction to the girl’s movement; partially to shield against the damage, but primarily for what would come immediately afterwards. As Gira’s elbow slammed into Tulip’s stomach, the woman’s clenched fist would come forward, slamming into the girl’s unguarded forehead. If the punch landed, it would definitely be felt. Whatever the outcome, Tulip’s next words would be a testimony to whatever fighting occurred next. Her lips would curl into a smirk, as she muttered. “What matters most in the real world isn’t training or skill...it’s experience and willpower.” Thrusting her feet out, the woman would enter her previous stance and wait for the girl’s next assault. Then a different look would cross Tulip's face, as a revelation dawned on her. "Wait...by boxing did you mean Muay Thai or whatever that other thing is?"

Gira smirked when her elbow dug into Tulip's stomach. The half-Saiyan didn't have as much of an advantage as she thought, however. Right as her attack connected, Tulip threw a punch at her forehead. Gira's vision exploded into white and she was sent flying backwards, tumbling over herself before leaping to her feet a good twenty feet or so away. The teen rubbed her forehead, which now had a red mark in the shape of Tulip's fist. "Owww... that's a punch." She listened to the advice Tulip gave her. "Right, right. I get that now." Gira grinned as Tulip questioned what she meant by "boxing."
"Nope. Not sure what Muay Thai is. I kind of abandoned that style for regular combat though. Boxing really isn't too useful in a real fight. I learned that. Too much upper body action, not enough lower body action. Anyone who knows what you're doing can counter easily. That's why I developed my own style. I call it Dragon Style. The stance kinda looks like a dragon if you squint. My friend, Kaci helped me with it." Gira got back into her stance. "Let me know what you think later!" Gira thought about a potential good strategy for facing Tulip. She was down to her level now, so she had a chance, but what Tulip said was true. Training and skill doesn't matter. Experience and willpower does. While she couldn't do much about the "experience" part, she had plenty of will to spare. The teen hybrid smirked. "Now, let's continue!" With that, Gira charged right at Tulip again.
A stupid move, one might think, but she wasn't going for another punch. Just short of colliding with her training partner, she immediately changed course and pivoted behind Tulip, aiming a kick at her back. Gira felt downright giddy at showing her new friend her style. She had only really showed it to her rival, Kallabash before now, and that was because she needed it to stand a chance of winning their spar. This fight with Tulip though seemed like it was going to be a lot of fun. Gira could feel her heart beating quick and the adrenaline rushing through her veins. Combat truly was her drug of choice.

Dragon Style? A unique and original technique designed to look like a dragon and enhance one’s abilities? Seems decent enough. But, I can’t let that insult to Gekido stand. The young woman smiled softly as her hand left her waist and her other hand balled itself into a fist. Letting out a slow breath, the woman’s stance shifted, her hips rising and her feet coming together again. Slowly bobbing back and forth, the woman launched into a volley of jabs, hooks, and uppercuts that would be almost impossible to follow. The other girl spoke, delivering a cheerful ‘let’s continue’. Hopping back with her guard up, both fists just under her eyes, a small smirk crossed Tulip’s face. “You say boxing isn’t too useful? I have a friend that would argue it. In fact, I’m going to take a feeble shot at emulating his all-too-powerful right hook, just to demonstrate what a real boxer and true ‘pressure is about.” Her voice was too late to impact Gira, who was already shooting forward. The girl threw out a second punch, which the woman dodged as she took a step forward. When her fist started to dart forward, the girl planted her feet and shot to one side, rotating her center of gravity and launching a reverse kick at Tulip.
A kick was more powerful than a punch; that’s what common sense and anatomy dictated. After all, the legs carried all of the body’s weight almost all of the time, while the arm’s are only used to lift and work. But, with training, one could make their arms as strong as their legs. When two trained fighters fought, though, it was almost always suicidal to try to stop a kick from behind with your fist. But that’s exactly what this hybrid intended to do. Boxing is one-third arm strength; two-thirds footwork! As her emerald gaze followed Gira’s sudden shift in movement, she slipped one of her set feet slightly to the rear of the other. Planting both firmly as Gira vanished from sight, the woman pivoted her entire body, instantly coming around to face the girl as the kick was being executed. Her left fist came flying out, slamming into the ball of the girl’s foot. Both would stop, locked in place. Bringing all of her body weight into the punch, the woman would attempt to completely throw Gira back using her single punch. Rocking back on her feet, the woman would raise her guard again and wait for the next move of Gira. Show me more of this Dragon-Style; carve it into my body with your strength, Gira!

To the hybrid's surprise, Tulip managed to block her kick with her fist. Gira grinned, excited. This was certainly a fun fight. Tulip had all sorts of tricks in her bag that she didn't expect. Now she was going to box with her! Gira certainly didn't expect that. Once the other hybrid threw her, Gira righted herself in midair, floating above the battlefield for a moment. 'Not bad at all. She's a skilled fighter. Its been awhile since i've had a fight this good.' The half-Saiyan's grin grew even wider. 'But it's not over yet.' While Gira had been boxing throughout all of high school, her skill in the sport had never really been challenged. She hadn't fought anyone on her level before, most of her opponents being normal school kids. This would be her first time facing off against a boxer at her level.
Her grin still on her face, Gira flew downwards at Tulip as fast as she could, landing behind her and pushing off of the ground with her feet to lunge at Tulip's back, dropping low to avoid any potential high blows. She'd lash out with her leg after that, attempting to take Tulip's balance out from under her with a sweeping kick aimed at her legs. Should that work, Gira would follow up with a powerful gut punch before she would hit the ground. The force of the blow would make it appear as if she was trying to punch Tulip through the Earth. Gira wasn't playing around now; she was done warming up. The teen half-Saiyan was confident that Tulip could take whatever she dished out.

When the girl flew up into the air, Tulip’s stance didn’t shift. The older hybrid held her ground, fists raised. She wouldn’t let the boxing stance drop until she’d demonstrated every ounce of technique she’d witnessed from the powerful Heran. When Gira suddenly blurred through the air, Tulip was already moving. After the second time, a tactic gets stale. If you use it a third-time, it’s tantamount to suicide. As Gira braced herself behind Tulip, the woman had already turned to face the girl. There wasn’t even a need for fancy footwork this time; she’d read the hybrid’s movement before it began. With a short hop as Gira’s entire body swept into a low, powerful kick, the woman avoided the entire kick. Gira took a step forward, probably trusting her most powerful sneak attack would work. As the woman landed, her right hand exploded into silver ki. When Gira’s punch shot forward, the woman stepped forward at the same instant. Gira’s punch narrowly missed Tulip’s side as the hybrid shot forward, using Gira’s motion to add momentum to her next move. Bracing both of her feet firmly, the woman swung her entire body forward, using her ki to accelerate and increase the force of her punch. It was aimed for the same point Gira had been; her stomach. If hit with enough force, it would doubtless make the young girl recall the evening’s meals. With a resounding boom, the punch would end. If Gira dodge it, that would just lead to the woman resuming her former stance as she distanced herself back. If not, the woman would let her hand drop as she walked past Gira. “Using the same tactic more than once is asking to get read like a book. You think that having the ground behind an opponent is an advantage? True, it’s hard to attack something directly behind you. But reusing the same tactic three times is extremely stupid. Fortunately for you, I’m a mostly-gentle teacher, who shows a bit of tough love occasionally.”

Gira smirked when Tulip dodged her attack yet again. She was getting too eager. But how could she help it? She was facing off against a Super Saiyan. Sure, she wasn't using the form, but according to what she had read, great power was kind of a prerequisite to unlock the transformation. Just as Gira was about to change up her tactics, perhaps with an aerial assault, Tulip threw a powerful punch at Gira's stomach. The blow was packed with ki, so saying it hurt like a bitch would be an understatement. As the blow struck the girl in the stomach, she doubled over, trying not to lose her dinner. After a few seconds of gagging, the hybrid stood up, listening to Tulip's advice.
Gira grinned, trying her best not to show that she was in pain from that last shot. "Thanks for the advice. I need to calm down. I'm getting too eager. Going up against someone like you, I need to rely on more than just my strength. That's gonna be a new one for me." Gira's grin widened. "But you know... you have a weakness too; and I have a plan that just might work." The teen half-Saiyan backed up, putting a little bit of distance between her and Tulip. 'She's underestimating me. I can use that to my advantage. If I can just get her to think i'm trying the same strategy again, I might be able to catch her off-guard with something new. But I can't be too obvious about it...' The hybrid's smile remained on her face. "You ready?" Gira wouldn't wait for a reply, lunging at her opponent with new ferocity. With a mighty roar, Gira vanished from sight, appearing to Tulip's left about fifty feet away.
She drew closer about twenty feet, then vanished from sight again, appearing in front of Tulip. She almost got the rest of the way to her target when she vanished again for the last time, reappearing at Tulip's back, finishing her charge. Right as she was about to strike, the hybrid vanished from sight again. If Tulip reacted the way Gira suspected, this would hopefully work. She reappeared in the sky above her mentor, gripping her wrist with her left hand and aiming her open palm at Tulip. "Tell me what you think of this strategy! Aether Cannon!" Gira fired a weaker, less destructive version of her signature technique, a baseball-sized ball of yellow energy rocketing right at her opponent.

The older hybrid paused in her walk and turned to face Gira as the younger girl gagged from the impact. After a few moments of struggling to breathe, the girl rose to her feet. There was a small grin on the girl’s face; an idle thought crossed the woman’s mind as she saw the girl’s emotional display. Did I look like this when I fought Levlidian? I know he beat the hell out of me the first two times, leaving me battered and defeated on the ground...but all I could do was grin from a battle well-fought. Her mind snapped back to attention as Gira finished speaking. The woman hoped the girl hadn’t just spilled the entirety of her new battle strategy, while Tulip had been lost in thought. The young hybrid began backing up, switching her stance as she made her way backwards. Gira finally stopped, the same grin on her face. As her feet stopped, the girl fell towards the woman, shifting into a sprinter’s stance. Before Tulip could raise her guard, the young girl had already shot within twenty feet and her ki surged, forcing the girl out of sight. Tulip’s gaze instantly shot behind her, hand raising to block the incoming strike. But… it was met by empty air!? The woman felt the surge in kyi increase, as a voice shouted from above. Her emerald gaze shot over her shoulder, as she saw the girl floating above her in the sky. “Tell me what you think of this strategy! Aether Cannon!” Thrusting her palm towards the woman, the girl fired an orb of yellow energy at the woman. If it had been fully charged, it might have been a threat. Thrusting her hand out, the woman casually snatched the orb out of the air. Crushing it into nothing in her bare hands, the woman began clapping slowly. “Nice; you threw me off your scent for approximately twenty seconds. I’ve let you have your fun for the last couple of minutes; I think it’s my turn.” Her silver ki surged outwards, rippling the grass on either side. Tulip didn’t let her ki setting shift from its previous place, but activated her own potential from that limit. Her ki crackled around the hybrid’s body, silver electricity that signified her cutting loose. Gaze falling on Gira, the woman grinned and spoke. “I’m not one for strategy or planning; I just step forward and punch whatever is in front of me.” There wouldn’t be a step or shift in movement, One second Tulip was standing on the ground in front of Gira, and the next she would be floating in the air directly in front of her. As ki crackled down the woman’s arm, she flicked a sideways punch towards the girl’s chest. It wasn’t intended to injure the girl severely, just knock her back into the ground. If it worked, Tulip would shift to the ground, landing mere feet behind where Gira impacted. Raising one foot back, the woman would wink and speak softly. As she spoke, the woman braced with her planted foot and sent a powerful kick sailing towards Gira. “If I were you, I’d dodge this.”

Gira groaned in frustration as Tulip caught her attack. She thought that might work. Clearly, she should have put more power in that attack. Still, she did what she aimed to do; evade Tulip's senses. At the compliment Tulip gave her, the half-Saiyan grinned with pride. "I've got a good teacher." However, the wind began to pick up, creating a fierce gale that forced Gira to cover her eyes. At the sudden power boost, Gira braced herself. She got many times stronger in an instant. This wasn't even close to her friend's full power though. She knew that. Even though that was the case, this was going to be a difficult battle. When Tulip indicated she was going to attack, Gira got back in her stance. 'I haven't been on my toes this much in a long time. I can't let my guard down for even a sec--'
In an instant, the girl's opponent closed the distance and hit her with a light sideways punch. Gira was sent flying into the ground, impacting with a loud "BOOM" and skidding along the forest floor before stopping herself just shy of impacting with a tree. The teen hybrid didn't have much time to react as Tulip sent a powerful kick right at her. Gira planted her hands on the ground and launched herself into the air and over Tulip, using her ki to fly backwards to put twenty yards or so between her and her opponent. Putting her hands out towards her Tulip. Her aura surged briefly as she conjured a ball of ki in each hand, about the size of a fist.
With a grunt of effort, the half-Saiyan threw both of the ki balls at her sparring partner. As soon as she let loose the first attack, she conjured more ki and released an onslaught of blasts at her opponent. 'Damn, she's strong. I've gotta pay more attention.'

Oh, she can still move pretty well! Tulip’s eyes widened in appreciation, as the young hybrid launched herself into the air. Tulip’s kick narrowly missed striking Gira’s head, as the young girl launched herself into the air behind Tulip. The young woman’s gaze turned back, as the girl thrust both of her hands out towards the older hybrid. “You do realize that a ki blast or two isn’t going to change thi-” The woman’s words were cut off, as the girl through both of the orbs with a shout. Tulip thrust one hand out, creating a blade of silver. Spinning it in a casual arc, the woman erased both balls with a single cut from her blade. Her gaze returned to the girl, in time to see the first small orb shooting towards her. “So this is your answer.” Her words were muffled by the blasts, as the energy slammed into her and the area around her, sending up a cloud of dust. When the orbs stopped, as the dust cloud slowly billowed outwards, a silence would fall over the area. A single, stray shard of silver spun upwards, barely notable due to its lack of ki. It spun behind the girl, before exploding in a flash of ki. A huge claymore materialized in the air behind Gira, angled so the flat of the blade was only five feet behind the hovering girl. The dust suddenly swirled inwards, before a flash exploded from it. Tulip, clothes dusty and tattered from the barrage, shot through the air, before landing in a crouch on the flat of the sword. Shifting her stance, the woman brought her hand up and set it against Gira’s back. “Ki Barrages aren’t the greatest tactic; it’s better to focus your energy into one decisive attack, or at least plan for three steps after the barrage. Anyway, enough talk.” Silver energy crackled up Tulip’s arm, focusing into her fist. It was a one-inch punch, delivered with only the intent to send Gira flying into the earth. Not severely injure her, but definitely leave the girl winded. That’s why I’m only using the Super edition, not the Ultimate! With that cheerful thought, Tulip slammed her fist into Gira, allowing her ki to fuel her punch’s impact.

The half-Saiyan looked intently at the cloud of dust that was kicked up by her barrage of ki blasts. She could sense that Tulip was still up, but Gira was trying to guess what her next move would be. She was so wrapped up in this that she didn't notice the silver strand until it was too late. Once it materialized into a silver claymore, Gira finally noticed it and moved to turn around, but felt Tulip's fist against her back and stopped. 'Damn it...'
Gira shifted her eyes to the left to try and looks behind her as she listened to Tulip's advice. 'Well, you learn something new every day.' It was clear to Gira now that she had so much more to learn. She was new to combat of this level and it truly showed. Before she could respond to what Tulip said, she felt the searing pain of Tulip's fist burying into her back. Gira's mouth hung wide open and her eyes widened before she was sent flying into the ground.
Gira laid there in the small indention in the earth her body created. After a few seconds, she regained consciousness with a soft, drawn out groan. With a grunt, she forced herself to roll over. 'Well, guess that's it then. I should have expected this.' The teen sat up and took a moment to get her bearings. Once she had fully recovered, she looked up at Tulip and waved at her. "I'm okay!"

Her punch went through, silver energy sparking throughout the air as Gira was sent hurtling into the forest floor. The girl slammed into the ground hard enough to create an indentation, making the taller woman wince. She’d obviously put too much into that strike. The taller woman landed on the ground across from Gira, as the girl started to stir from her temporary lapse in consciousness. The woman walked over slowly as the girl tried to reorient herself. Grinning slightly, the taller hybrid knelt next to Gira and held out a hand. “I knew you would be. Let’s get some sleep and then you can take the kitten home tomorrow. Sound good?”
I think you can wrap the thread up in your post, Gira. It was fun while it lasted!
