“You’re certain this is the best idea Bana’? This won’t exactly sit well with whatever sort of rulership that the AE has at the moment” Jala said as the Eclipse came in for a landing in the main spaceport of the Dore Outpost, thankfully due to the nature of the Eclipse’s power dampening technology and its lack of Empire insignia’s Jala was able to easily make a claim that they were simply here to visit. After all what was a little white lie about their arrival when they were planning to take control of the entire planet? “Honestly I don’t much care what the rulers of the AE think about this, I EXPECT them to be mad. But honestly it doesn't matter, they’re most prominent leader was killed by Zucceta when she’d only had the standard super saiyan form, by all indications the recent lot of temporary rulers have all been WEAKER than Wyntre, the last one got put on the throne by a mercenary but she’s since vanished.”“The Empire can always use more able fighters and Beppa has some of the best mercenary’s in the quadrant, between Pin and Shemha we should be more than capable of whipping them into proper shape for the war. Of all the Arcosian world's Beppa should be the easiest to bring into the Empire, they will appreciate an influx of work to be paid for and the prospects of having leaders actually invested in them growing strong” Habana explained earning a nod of acceptance from her mother. With the Eclipse docked the saiyan duo exited the ship, it took a few moments of them walking through the port for some of the locals to recognize something was amiss. Saiyans were almost certainly quite uncommon on Beppa, but with the ever present tensions between the two Empires it didn't take long for someone to recognize that the duo were not just random saiyans. A few of the locals made moves as if to block Habana’s path but a stern look from the Queen broke down the tough appearances they were putting up when paired with the readings that their scouters were likely providing, even without transforming Habana was more than capable of wiping out the port and everyone in it. But she hadn’t yet, and the Beppan’s seemed cautiously optimistic that it would remain that way. Noting a pair of Beppans that were keeping close to them and had above-average power Habana halted “You two would have your time better served spreading the news to whoever is acting leader of Beppa. The Saiyan Solar Empire has come to make an offer”
“The Arcosian Empire has done nothing for the people of Beppa, you’ve been left without substantial chance to do the work your people excel at. Fighting. The SSE will soon be at active war with the Mazoku, we want more allies, strong allies, with the Arcosians you will be wasted, with the SSE you can stand strong as apart of a real Empire.” The Beppans nearby listened with great interest, some seemed unsure if they should trust that the Saiyan Queen was being honest, but quite a few others seemed VERY interested in the offer. Habana however chose not to concern herself with the civilians for now, instead making her way through the Outpost to find the acting leader of Beppa, the news would most certainly travel quickly but with any luck not TOO quickly that whatever amounted to ruler-ship of the AE could arrive to delay her.

[Habana is seeking to claim Beppa for the SSE, her offer has been made to the Beppan’s and as there is no proper leader of Beppa I’ll be having a NPC leader popup to agree to join the Empire if nobody contests this / if Habana successfully fends off the attempt to contest her claim. I figure as the Beppan people are merc’s by nature the general attitude of the people will be neutral until things are decided.]

[PL: 15,167] Koshu rolled over in his cave the next morning the same way he did every morning: a soft tired groan, and a numb determination to take on the day. Quickly pushing himself to his feet before someone came in to beat him into consciousness, Koshu washed his face off with the small pail of water in the corner of his room. Yesterday, he was a hero to his people, but today he would almost certainly be just another cog in the system. And he was… Surprisingly alright with that. As long as there was fulfillment, the fifty year old was certainly fine with complacency. As Koshu trudged out of the small cave that he called his dormitory, a punch immediately whistled through the air, and within a split second Koshu's dark skinned fist had smashed against the wrist of an opponent. Koshu looked up, locking eyes with his fellow saiyan and engaging in a few more lightning quick blows back and forth before stepping back and bowing. His opponent was surprisingly merciful. Either he was gracious towards Koshu for his actions the previous day, or he was not in the mood for unnecessary brawling today either.
But it seemed that the truth was neither of Koshu's two proposed hypotheses. The saiyan across from him spoke, revealing that the brief combat was only a greeting for the more important issue. "Koshu," grunted the saiyan, with a hint of affection. "A young man named Eppe needs to find his way to the water hole nearby, but nobody's ever taken him on out there before." This was a strange statement, as most saiyans from the cult were sent to the watering hole much earlier on in their childhood. Perhaps this young man had slipped through the cracks. "His mother is sick. Need you to show him the way down there."
Koshu furrowed his brows for a moment and sighed tonelessly from the back of his throat. "Sure," Koshu spoke finally with a shrug, loosening up his face as he stretched out sideways. "Where's the kid?"
The child seemed to have much more spirit in him than was typical of Beppan-Saiyans.
"First trip to the pond?" Koshu's hands were on his hips, looking down at the excited youngster strangely. How had this kid gotten all the way to age thirteen without being sent out to get water?
The child was bruised and beaten, as was characteristic of most of the zenkai cultists, but his spirit seemed completely unharmed. "Sorry," apologized the child with a grin, respecting his elders but simultaneously playing with the fifty-something's authority. Koshu immediately took a liking to this kid. "That's alright then. Let's go." The saiyan shook his head, letting loose a short smirk. A child, thirteen years old, who'd never once in his life been outside of the mountain catacomb of Beppan saiyans. Koshu felt he had been relatively isolated in his life, but that was ridiculous.
As the two darted across the red smoldering plains, Koshu reminisced on his own trips to the ponds, and to the outpost. Almost all of them had ended traumatically, in viscous fights, but there was something enticing about that too. Every child ought to have an experience that roughs him up to the outside world. Even this dancing three foot tall rascal, Eppe.
Koshu was strong enough to defend him, wasn't he? A little stop by the outpost couldn't hurt, could it? After all, it was only yesterday that one of the elders was talking about how they needed more salt for keeping the meat. Who could cry over spilled salt?
Of course the saiyan knew that this detour was far outside of the bounds of acceptable behavior in the cult. If anyone in the cult was found acting outside of the consciousness of the group… It could only lead to discord in the society. After all, keeping the group a secret was incredibly important. If the Beppans knew about the lineage of saiyans living in their mountains for so many generations… It would certainly become sport to hunt them down. And as much as the Beppan Saiyans loved combat… They were incredibly stubborn about keeping their lust for battle within their own walls, seeking zenkais from the mercy of eachothers fists rather than the vicious outside world.
But… One quick stop couldn't hurt.
"Left here," grunted Koshu gruffly, pivoting on a dime and propulsing off the tip of his foot in a ninety degree angle, rocketing his jump towards the outpost. Eppe may have been a firecracker, but he wasn't so stupid to question an elder's directions in the wilderness. And so the two traversed the red plains one leap at a time, heading towards the oasis that was the Dore Outpost.
Objectively speaking, Koshu should've immediately recognized the strangeness of the situation and turned back when he saw the shuttle descending nearby the outpost. But something about Eppe's spirited dashing and snarky remarks drove the normally tame man forwards. If a child could be so cavalier about the situation, why couldn't he? After all, Koshu was one of the most powerful members of the community now. What couldn't he take on?
Koshu's foot clashed into the ground, kicking up a short storm of red dust around him as he planted his second leg and slid to a halt. Reaching out with his left arm without a second glance, the elder caught the saiyan child mid leap and placed him down on the ground. "We're going to stop and pick up some salt," Koshu remarked firmly, refusing to cue in on the social stigma surrounding the situation. "Just a few minutes."
Eppe didn't seem to understand the situation at all. "This is the pond then?" the boy asked eagerly. There was water at the outpost of course, but this was a far cry from the solitary basin that the saiyan tribe typically derived their drinking water from. Beppans fluctuated in and out of the hub like swarms of ants, each one carrying pots and supplies to transport to their individual outposts, or heading inwards to purchase the necessities that the land couldn't provide. Even then though, many more of the hulking green creatures hung around the outpost simply to pick up work. This was where the most potent mercenaries this side of vegeta could be recruited, and for pretty cheap prices, too.
Keeping his head up high and the child close by his side, Koshu quickly paced towards the entrance of the large market, but paused briefly, taking a glance over to a small congregation. Several of the energy sensing Beppans had gathered near someone who was quite obviously an offworlder, while other merchants simply trudged along, unaware of the gravity of the small coup gathering at the street corner.
Almost compulsorily, Koshu found his feet pacing towards the offworlder. This was finally one step too far for Eppe. "Where are we going?" The child asked quietly, trying to swallow the slight quiver in his voice. But Koshu was in a trance. There was something about this alien… Some scent drew him close, as if instinctually. He clenched his fist.
The saiyan's body quaked, and the his eyes locked on the tail of the offworlder. How did she have a tail if she wasn't from the tribe?
Koshu pace's picked up, and the young dark skinned saiyan next to him knew better than to question him now. He was on a mission. Pushing through the small ensemble, the short but sturdy saiyan ducked outwards, his ear and eyebrow piercings glistening in the hot light of the volcanoes, his tail stirring slightly under his green jumpsuit. Koshu's dark skin was torn with scars from his constant injury as a child, and his body was sculpted by the chisel of battle. The sides of his head were shaved, and his distinct bush of saiyan hair was pulled back into a single tuft, its stark grooming somehow enhancing its primal ferocity.
The gravity with which Koshu spoke could've been perceived as ridiculous. He spoke to the woman with a conviction and fascination so severe, that although he was asking her a single simple question, it came off as if he was making the most outrageous hypothesis of all time. "You… You're a saiyan?"

Habana smirked as she noted that her slow walk through Dore was beginning to draw quite a lot of attention, some of the people from the starport even going so far as to cautiously follow along, while she hoped that it was made up of those interested in the offer she had told her initial tag along to go spread to the leadership of Beppa she had to imagine that more than a few of them were there because they could not trust that her claims were genuine. Habana stopped briefly as she felt something odd, a comparatively substantial power approaching her and Jala, the feeling was quickly paired with the sound of approaching footsteps and a child’s voice, Habana slowly turned to face the new arrival genuinely quite surprised by what she found. She’d expected a Beppan, or maybe even some Arcosian representative of the AE to be approaching her angrily. Instead what she found was a man probably around her mother’s age who by all physical appearances seemed to be a saiyan, however, he seemed confused by the idea that she too might be a Saiyan and even beyond that Beppa was quite the odd place for a Saiyan to take up residence. “Correct, I am Habana Queen of the Saiyan Solar Empire and the Saiyan people. Who are you?” Habana questioned feeling no need to correct him that she was technically just half saiyan, his power was substantial enough that back in the Empire he would have certainly held a decent position, at least as substantial as her mother had held prior to Habana becoming Commander, but with a briefly shared look with Jala the elder saiyan seemed to have no clue who this man was.

Koshu's eyes glistened with bewilderment as the woman quickly stated that she was was a saiyan, and chalked out a full extension of the acronym she had dropped moments earlier. The Saiyan Solar Empire.
Koshu was no fool. The myths of his people, the stories of the godlike saiyans of old who had gone extinct... All of the stories, passed down generation from generation began to shatter before his eyes. And for some reason, he was absolutely fascinated by it.
Eppe now joined Koshu at his side, and the small boy planted his feet firmly next to Koshu's leg, looking on at the conversation with wide, probing eyes. The child had heard her assertion of course, but he wasn't quite ready to believe it. Could the saiyan race really have lived on outside of the Beppan mountain hideout?
Lips curling up into a strangely quivering smile, Koshu chuckled from the back of his throat with a quiet disbelief. He looked on at her strange, lightly scarred pale skin, absorbing the vision of her armor and sculpted form. Something about this encounter filled him with a primal urge to challenge this strange offworlder. She seemed to be slightly offput by his own experience. Did these other saiyans not know of the Beppan tribe? And how many of them were there.
"...And," Koshu grunted out, chewing on his lip for a moment, before narrowing his brows and focusing his wide eyes once more. "There's just the two of you?" He paused, eyeing the nearby ship with suspicion. "Or are there more on there?"
Almost in disbelief, the man added gruffly. "The ship... From the Saiyan Solar Empire." The man tasted the words in his mouth, and felt the strength of their venom. An Empire of saiyans could not exist. The idea, Koshu could grapple with, but fully comprehending the concept of an extra-planetary saiyan legion... The sentiment seemed surreal, ridiculous.
Koshu pictured legions of these light-skinned scouter-clad piercing-less saiyans and almost laughed out loud. It couldn't be true, there was no way. And yet..?

Habana chuckled at the astonished look on the man’s face, he seemed far more astonished by the idea that she was a Saiyan than made much sense to her. Almost like he was unaware that there even were other Saiyans out in the universe. Occasionally such Saiyans existed but in her experience, they were generally young and lacked a connection with the rest of the universe such as the child on Earth or Brassica.
Even Brassica however simply due to time and exposure to others coming to her planet had learned enough to know that the SSE existed. Perhaps this man simply had not expected to see another Saiyan on Beppa? But if that was the case how long had he been here?
Another Saiyan joined them, a child at that which indicated that this man was not alone, at the very least he had the child. That meant that there was at least a chance for there to be yet another Saiyan somewhere around here provided the child wasn’t a hybrid. She turned her attention away from the man briefly to give the child a friendly smile, though as the older Saiyan spoke up she returned her focus to him.
Habana smirked as he questioned whether they had come alone and marveled at the idea of the ship being from the Empire. Something seemed really quite off about this man, he seemed almost confused by the idea of the Empire having ships.
“Yes, it’s just the two of us right now. My ship is designed for quick and stealthy space travel. I have a much bigger ship that I use when I want people to know that I’m visiting but the amount of people needed to pilot it effectively makes stealthy travel a bit difficult and I'm the only person needed to take control of this planet.”
“I’m still waiting on your name by the way” Habana added with a friendly smirk hoping to jarr the man out of his confused and seemingly a bit dazed state.

Koshu noticed Eppe flickering into his peripheral and grimaced. His priority was keeping the boy safe, but he couldn't pull his eyes away from the strange pair of saiyans before him. As the dominant saiyan explained the nature of her spacetravel graciously, Koshu's eyes shimmered over to the stealth ship, and assessed it's size within the context of her claim of having a much larger ship. If this empire existed —and at this point, how could it not— they certainly had many more ships where this one had come from. But the last phrase of her sentence was jarring. She intended to take control of the planet. Suddenly, Koshu's muscles tensed, and he glared at the woman with new suspicion. Could this be a trap by Beppan mercenaries, designed to hunt down the tribe of saiyans? Was this "saiyan" merely a plant, designed to gain his trust before following him back to the mountain, calling in the calvary, and— Sure, this woman claimed to be of a saiyan empire, but as far as Koshu could reasonably confirm, the Beppans were still the last tribe of sayians in the universe. There was no room for carelessness. He had to protect his people at all costs. But if she really was from a universal saiyan empire, and had come to conquer the planet… What could that mean for his people? Suddenly, the woman's jarring smirk was far less endearing than it was a few seconds ago. "My name is Koshu," he husked aloud, eyes gauging her reaction. Before the child could speak, Koshu anticipated his words. "This is Eppe." For some reason, something twinged in Koshu, and he felt the need to elaborate. "He is a disciple of mine."And there it was again: the strange scent, and the surge of instinct. His toes curled. Frustrated with her playful dominance, Koshu's eyes waxed with rage. "I know when I'm being spoken down to." He spat angrily, clenching his fist. "You talk damn big," The saiyan spoke breathily, before darkening his tone. "Why don't you show me a little bit of this Empire's force, Habana?" It was a challenge. "Or how about you?" Koshu turned viscously on Jala, eyes focused on her. There was none of the instinctual connection that he had with Habana, only a pounding demand from his pride, a desire to beat her into submission. "Beppans aren't the only conquest on this planet you have to worry about," Koshu slipped out, tossing out the implication of his tribes existence and power with reckless abandon. Queen Habana

“Truth be told I suppose I AM talking down to you a bit when I say I’m the only person needed to take control of the planet even if that wasn’t necessarily my intention. But of all the people I’ve felt since arriving here, you’re the first that has put that notion even a touch in doubt assuming that you’ve either got a whole lot more power hidden away or others stronger or as strong as you.” Habana stated with a shrug
“I talk big because I am big, and while I would ordinarily be up for a quick match I do still have a world leader to convince. You’re the strongest warrior I’ve detected around here though so since you’re interested in a fight with either of us how about you go a few rounds with Jala while I wrap up my business here. She can show you just how much power the Empire is packing since you seem oddly unaware.”
“If you’re interested in what you see and want a chance to reach similar levels I’ll offer the same invitation to you that I intend to offer to all of Beppa, join the Empire and thrive rather than wasting the clear potential you and your disciple have here. Give it some thought while you two have your fun alright?” Habana said giving Koshu and Eppe a grin, she would then take a step back away from them only to vanish with a quick application of the after image technique.
Nobody present had the power to keep up with her speed once she really cut loose, she’d spent enough time speaking with Koshu that a rush to the leader of Beppa was now a lot more worthwhile. With any luck, Jala would wrap up her brawl with Koshu before Habana dealt with her negotiations.
Jala sighed as Habana vanished from sight her Scouter briefly lighting up as it registered a massive increase in power from her daughter, thankfully the device was a newer model capable of sustaining itself even in the face of the second super Saiyan form’s projected power output.
“You’ll have to forgive her rush, she’s not overly fond of leaving Vegeta without knowing for certain one of our more capable warriors is around to defend it in her place, she’s eager to have the planet brought into the Empire as quickly as possible. You mentioned the Beppans not being the only ones here we would need to worry about. Are there other saiyans? And on a similar subject why do you seem so uninformed on the Empire?” Jala questioned her tone far more formal compared to her daughters though not without a hint of friendliness due to the man being a saiyan.
“And if you remain interested I am more than willing to show you a bit of the Empire’s power if it will help” Jala said tapping her scouter a few times doing a long range scan to find any sort of nearby uninhabited location “As I’m unfamiliar with the area you can lead the way to a preferred area to fight, otherwise my scouter indicates a reasonably unpopulated area nearby.”

Koshu's face remained cold and expressionless as Habana prattled off her accolades, thinking out loud about the possibilities of the situation on Beppa.
The dark skinned saiyan didn't doubt that she was powerful, as the gathering crowd around her was certainly large, and she seemed more than confident. But confidence could be faked. There was no way to tell how powerful one's opponent truly was until their back was against the wall in combat.
Giving one last cheeky remark, the saiyan queen teased at Koshu's "potential" and invited them to join her supposed empire. Koshu's vehement pride was put off by the remark, and he shifted back into a stance of unease and suspicion. Before he could respond though, Habana stepped back and vanished into thin air. Eppe was left to think she could teleport, but Koshu was slightly more perceptive, and understood the more terrifying implication: she really just moved that damn fast.
Completely distracted by the saiyan queen's speech, Koshu forgot for a brief moment that Jala remained behind.
"What's going on?" Eppe marveled in a low tone, looking up at Koshu with wide eyes, "Is she for real?"
The five foot six saiyan clenched his teeth underneath shrouded lips, jaw jutted out slightly in anxiety. His eyes remained fixated on the spot where Habana vanished until his thoughts were shattered by another voice.
Quickly, Koshu's eyes snapped to Jala, registering each calculated word she spoke. The Saiyan Solar Empire wanted to obtain Beppa swiftly. And from the power that Habana displayed, it was clear that they could do so.
So what would this mean for the Beppan saiyans? Liberation or assimilation?
Just as his mind cut through the thoughts, Jala's own dialogue followed, asking him if there were other saiyans, and about his own lack of information on the Saiyan Solar Empire.
Koshu paused for a moment, processing his thoughts, and yet still managed to speak rashly. "Before this moment, I was unaware that other saiyans existed in the universe." He spoke shortly, and with a punctual air.
Now though, the second saiyan was tapping her scouter, scanning for something. She offered to take Koshu up on his challenge, and his cautiousness began to thaw once more. "You want to give me a demonstration?" he asked, cracking a grin.
The only path to trust was earned respect in battle.
"Let's do it then. Afterwords, you'll answer all my questions, and I'll answer yours." Now it was Koshu's turn to smirk. "Sound like a deal?"
If the saiyan agreed to his proposition, Koshu would turn around, gazing across the red plains of Beppa and consuming the scenery, triangulating an area far enough away from the mountain cult to make it out of range of a scouter, but close enough to make an escape or call for help.
"I know a place," the saiyan grunted abruptly, turning back to face her so that one eye of his met hers. "Follow me."
Koshu would then bend his legs slightly in a lunge, Eppe immediately mimicking his form. With a single fluid motion, Koshu would launch forwards, his legs snapping out like springs and clenching together side by side as he rocketed through the air. Although the two were unable to fly, their controlled leaps could transverse miles in a single bound.
Cutting through the sky, Koshu's eyes would lock on a familiar landmark: West Volcano Aparika. Forcing himself downwards, Koshu would swipe Eppe out of the sky and plant his own feet in the familiar lunge, facing the opposite direction of his momentum and allowing red dust to form a cloud around him as he skid to a stop.
The scenery was a pounding saturated red, and one's eyes could easily be deceived by the mirages, ripples of heat, and overwhelming color of the landscape. Although the terrain was mostly flat, several mountains could be seen off in the distance, and the hill nearby seemed to crackle and pulse with the land, occasionally belching up a drizzle of flimsy magma. The heat of the terrain was palpable, and although Koshu had lived his whole life under the oppressive warmth of Beppa, he still preferred the refuge of the cool mountaintops.
Koshu jutted his head to the left, yielding a powerful crack in his neck. "This look good to you?"

Jala blinked a few times as Koshu explained that he had not even known that Saiyans had existed outside of Beppa, how the HELL was that possible. Sure it was possible for a Saiyan on some outer world with no contact with the rest of the universe could have theoretically not encountered another Saiyan before, and if their pod was destroyed by some means before they were old enough to understand the information it was able to provide then yes such a Saiyan might not know of their heritage.
But this was a fully grown Saiyan, he knew what a Saiyan was, and had a disciple of at the very least Saiyan heritage, importantly he had called the child his disciple and indicated no blood relation to Eppe meaning that the child was likely not his meaning there was at least one other Saiyan present, the fact that Eppe bore no resemblance to a Beppan meant he was likely a full blooded Saiyan meaning there were at least THREE Saiyans on Beppa.
Jala half listened and simply followed along as Koshu lead her to his preferred battlefield, notably, he did not take flight instead using his power to perform impressive leaps, the child performed similarly if a bit less impressive leaps. Jala simply took to the air as she followed after them trying to make sense of the situation.
Tapping her scouter a few times Jala pulled up as much information on Beppa as she could narrowing her searches by Empire activity on the planet. For the most part, direct Empire activity on Beppa was minimal due to its status as a mercenary world at least as far back as most records indicated. The problem there was that the Empire did not always keep the best records with its record keeping deteriorating the further back things went.
It was a headache trying to figure out what the hell was going on and part of her wondered if this was some sort of prank set up by Habana and Pin.
Koshu’s insistence that answers would only be given once the fight was over was now more than a little frustrating, the heat of the battlefield was more than a little uncomfortable though her internal upgrades appeared to be mitigating that discomfort to some extent. “It’s fine, at this point I’m hoping to make this quick if only to figure out what the hell is going on. I had assumed you were a retired soldier or something to that effect, but with what little you’ve said that is clearly not the case. Regardless I hope you can provide an interesting fight at the very least” Jala said giving the other Saiyan a playful grin.
It would be interesting to see how he fared, while difficult to tell exactly Jala had a rough guess that Koshu was in the same age range as herself a bit of a rarity to encounter a Saiyan both at that age and a clear active combatant. Many older Saiyans in the Empire were retired or had always been non-combatants. "Before we begin, do you want me to go all out on you or stick to my current power?" Either way, Jala felt fairly assured in her victory, initiating an overdrive would just make it all the faster.

Jala seemed more eager to talk than to engage in combat, but there was no way Koshu was revealing himself to this woman without a fight, saiyan or not.
And besides… She was likely much weaker than him, or much less experienced in combat. Koshu was born in the heat of battle, he spent every waking moment of his childhood fighting his heart out. There was no way he would lose to this empire. It could not cultivate warriors more determined than those raised by the act of combat.
Koshu's tail swayed slightly, wagging and then pulling close to his body, wrapping around his waist.
She assumed he was a retired soldier… Certainly, his battle scars could imply that. His age, his rugged body could have been born from years of wear in the military of the empire. But instead, each scar across his flesh was a deep reminder of his battles not in far off wars, but his own experiences. His left shoulder had a gash from years ago, in one of his most fateful battles, when he was only a teenager. Other wounds, like the ones on his biceps, were more fresh, and ready to reopen at the slightest damage.
But his scars meant something. His scars were what he imagined badges were to empires. His wounds were the records of his will to fight, his wounds were his purpose as a saiyan. There was nothing in life if not the rush of battle, the skill of the fight, and the vicious clash of man against man.
Koshu's cocky grin was gone now. His face was painted with scathing determination, and he resonated his battle lust against that of the similarly aged saiyan across from him, brows tensing. But his concentration was broken when she asked a question that Koshu simply didn't understand.
Not going all out? The idea didn't quite register in the saiyan's brain. How could one engage in battle with their whole heart and not put their power into it?
Did she mean… Fighting him like a child? The only custom in Beppan-Saiyan society that allowed for one not fully investing in a battle was the training of children. Koshu's pupils dilated in rage for a moment, before fluxing back to their controlled pinpoints.
"Do you intend to treat me as a child?" Koshu growled, with thinly veiled ferocity, "Don't you dare patronize me, saiyan."
Immediately, Koshu dropped down onto all fours, his upper body elevated higher than his rear end, in a stance of some sort of primal ferocity. He was ready to pounce. For one last time, Koshu spoke with a strange disgust, and he intended for it to be the last time he spoke until the battle was won. "Show me your strength!"
With that, Koshu leapt forwards, vaulting through the air with incredible speed and hopefully colliding with the other saiyan. If his pounce succeeded, he would follow through his momentum, grappling his opponents shoulders with his hands, slamming Jala's body down and pinning her to the blazing hot Beppan soil. His knees would slam on either side of her body, straddling her to the ground with uncanny battlelust. If she hadn't circumvented his assault, the Beppan's quick fists would begin pounding down across her jaw brutally, showing no mercy to those who made mistakes in the heat of combat.
Koshu was going to see how much this "saiyan" could take. He was going to break this "empire" fighter, Beppan style.

Jala rolled her eyes as Koshu took her statement entirely the wrong way, it had been her best attempt at not entirely overwhelming the strange Saiyan but the more he spoke the more clear it became that he was going to need to be handled somewhat like Zoraba though he appeared to lean far more towards genuine pride compared to the outright arrogance of Zoraba. As Koshu asked Jala to show him her strength he immediately launched forward, she could have avoided the pounce with relative ease, he was fast but not anywhere near as fast as her ability to react. He grabbed hold of her by the shoulders but despite the violent nature of his starting the fight Jala’s expression remained entirely impassive as if entirely unphased by the imminent danger Koshu likely believed he posed. As quickly as he grabbed hold of her Koshu shoved hard trying to bring her to the ground, resisting it would have been possible, probably relatively easy all things considered if she put some real power into shoving him away, but Jala was curious what Koshu’s full plan was so she allowed him to bring her to the ground, a few sharp knees followed that managing to break Jala’s impassive expression briefly. Then Koshu cocked his fist back for a quick strike and Jala decided that would be enough of that. She’d allowed the warrior his chance to show her what he was capable of, now she would hold him to his demand and show him what she was capable of as if flipping a switch a light would begin to glow in Jala’s eyes and she felt a surge of energy rush through her body as she initiated her Overdrive. Koshu’s fist connected with her face but she could scarcely feel the impact at this point, for the primal saiyan it would be much like a normal person trying to punch solid steel, and none of his successive strikes would feel any more pleasant or yielding. “You’re quite strong Koshu, you have the talent to be even stronger though if you have the proper equipment and challenging opponents,” Jala stated matter-of-factly almost entirely ignoring Koshu’s attacks. “You wanted to see my strength. Here it is” With Koshu as close as he was Jala had little room to wind up her strike, luckily with a stronger push she didn't really NEED to wind up, she adjusted her arm pressing her knuckles against Koshu’s ribs before snapping her hand forward into a very quick but deceptively powerful punch.

On paper, Koshu's assault was successful. But in reality, he knew from the second it began that something was amiss. Hurtling through the air with incredible speed, the saiyan's feral pounce made direct contact. But strangely... He felt some sort of force. Even with the momentum of his speed, and the strength of his grapple, there was something missing. Within milliseconds, the saiyan realized the fatal fact.
When his maneuver followed through, there should've been an impact, a typical short period of resistance, followed by a lack of balance and then a takedown. But in his interaction with this strange saiyan… The period of resistance was ever so slightly longer. His impact didn't immediately knock her off balance. Koshu realized that as he slammed into her, she spent a second too long before hitting the ground... simply because… She was deciding wether or not she would allow herself to be knocked over.
In spite of the unsettling power dynamic in the fight, Koshu's mind streamlined itself into the singularity of ferocious combat. And that was his mistake.
If Koshu had been a more discerning fighter, he would've realized from that initial impact that he needed to pull back, and reevaluate his opponent's strength. Although the saiyan had Jala in a straddle now, the truth of the matter was that Koshu was in no position of advantage: he was wide open.
But even as these thoughts occurred to Koshu, making time seemingly move in slow motion… A prideful lust pushed over his body. For some reason, he felt the need to punish his opponent. She would allow him to knock her over? She decided to leave herself wide open? She was so arrogant to believe that even when he had her pinned to the scalding volcanic soil, he couldn't harm her? Fine then. He would take full advantage of it, and use her arrogant fabrication to crush her.
And so he cocked back his fist with a malicious passion, and rained down the first blow. His punch tore towards her, crackling through the air with an almost supersonic potency.
But right before the cathartic collision with the saiyan's jaw, her eyes suddenly flickered into an unnatural glow. Koshu's instincts kicked in, more urgently than before. He certainly needed to step back and reevaluate the situation, it was possible that she was able to activate ki through her eyes—
But it was too late to pull back the lashing whip that was his fist now. And so he followed through, lunging his body into the strike, pushing with the full force of his muscles.
Koshu felt his knuckles crack. Within a few seconds he realized that this was no ordinary crack. Although the initial collision with her solid steel skin barely hurt the saiyan, the shooting pain that tore through his arm suddenly made him understand the extent of his injury. Quickly, Koshu turned to his arm, testing his physical facilities. That was the dark skinned saiyan's fatal flaw; for a brief moment, he forgot he wasn't really in control. He didn't have the time to spare.
Koshu twitched each of his fingers for a moment, quickly coming to the understanding that it was simply a torn ligament, and not shattered bones. But in the dark skinned saiyan's brief period of distraction... Jala turned the fight around.
He couldn't even see the punch. But he felt the impact.
Koshu at least had the good sense to pull away from the blow, to ride it out and lurch his torso upwards, partially mitigating the short strike. But that was all the good fortune he would have.
From the minute that Jala struck back, Eppe knew that she was completely in control of the fight. Although the boy was unaware of the minute details of her advantage that Koshu had taken stock of, a single blow allowed the child to completely analyze the situation. It was against the code of honor for a Beppan Saiyan to comment on or interfere with another's fight. But even so, Eppe couldn't help but bite down on his lips, brows curling up in empathy as Koshu let out a low, deceptively unstrained grunt.
Stumbling backwards, Koshu was on his feet. But his body was in ruins. The saiyan's ribcage had partially shattered, half caved in from the blow. It was the left side of his body, the opposite side from his bloodied knuckles.
"FUCK!" Koshu boomed in catharsis, before locking his jaw and squeezing his eyes shut, screaming through clenched teeth in a piercing groan.
The saiyan nearly collapsed, dropping low to the ground and supporting himself with three limbs. His good arm helped to hold up his body weight and his bad arm cradled his broken ribs, pulling out a roll of bandages from the inside of his jumpsuit. But there was little that could be done for the internal bleeding.
Twining the bandage around his bleeding fist, Koshu yanked his hand away from the roll, tearing off the piece that now shrouded his knuckles. He used the newly wrapped hand to hold on tight to his half demolished torso.
From an outsiders perspective, Koshu's reaction to his injury would seem almost inhuman. The saiyan was obviously crippled across his entire body, but he displayed terrifyingly few signs of suffering. The only hints at the intense agony pulsing through his nervous system was the occasional sharp cringe, visible only in the tensing of his spine and the tightening of his face. The dark skinned saiyan had been beaten to the edge of death by his own brothers and sisters so many times that it almost appeared he was going through the motions. He made dying look effortless.
Jala was obviously speaking: her tone was cold but agreeable. But Koshu couldn't understand a word she was saying. His ears were overwhelmed a harsh ringing, and his hearing was muffled, as if a bomb had just exploded above his head.
Still positioned in a sprawl on three limbs, Koshu dropped his head down, panting heavily, his back heaving up and down with each breath. Dropping to his knees, the saiyan looked as if he was going to finally collapse. But he wasn't ready to stop fighting yet.
The Beppan planted one leg upright, and then fought through the suffering, swinging his other leg into position and pushing himself to his feet in a full stance. His right arm was still wrapped across the left side of his lower chest, locked in place like a brace.
Eppe's fist formed a ball, and the boy diverted his gaze anxiously. Koshu let out a long low relaxed moan.
"You fucking imposter."
His eyes snapped open, and his gaze spiraled up to meet the "saiyan" across from him, irises filled with vicious vindication. Time seemed to stop as Koshu spoke, each word coming out jagged and choked. Each pang of agony tightened his body.
The injured man's dellusions were a combination of lightheadedness, inability to comprehend defeat, and that uncanny glow in his opponent's eyes. Whatever the reason was, Koshu was not going to ignore his instincts again. These women were not sayians. Their empire was a facade.
"You're no saiyan," the primal warrior's voice started out low and grew into a deafening snarl, his lips peeled back in hatred, "You're a fucking imposter. The Beppans sent you, didn't they? DIDN'T they?" Slurring his words now, his previous conviction was suddenly becoming drained by blood loss.
"I'll never TELL YOU where we are!" Koshu barked. He winced again in pain, and then activated the the uncanny ability of the Beppan-Saiyan people: transforming pain into rage.
"Who the fuck are you!?"
But it wasn't enough. The sheer force of his injuries suddenly overwhelmed Koshu, tearing him apart piece by piece. He had never experienced such acute agony.
Collapsing into a sprawl, the saiyan was caught in a fervor, desperate for death, and desperate for the location of the Beppan Saiyans to die with him.
But by the time his rage was released, Koshu wasn't sure if he believed his own words. His head was completely clouded with pain; few experiences through his childhood had prepared him for a beating this severe. And so, Koshu's three legged stance gave out, and he finally came crashing down, slamming hard against the hot Beppan earth.
All of the pride in the world couldn't fuel a broken machine.
exiting and requesting a Zenkai with light weights, assuming Jala does not finish off Koshu's unconcious body :0

Jala sighed to herself as she floated herself back onto her feet, Koshu had thankfully not made any foolish effort to resist being thrown by the force of her attack, doing so would have very likely caused even greater internal damage or if his grip was impressive enough maybe even ripped off his limbs in the process.
To her surprise as she touches down her scouter began picking up spikes in the other saiyans energy signature indicating that neither the blow nor the landing had actually rendered him unconscious. Perhaps she had held back a bit TOO much? Even more surprising was when he began staggering back to his feet, no small task for someone who at best was working with a quarter the normal amount of rubs and a substantially higher number of rib fragments.
“You reall-” Jala began trying to warn the saiyan that he ought not be moving around so much, she’d aimed for a debilitating but non-lethal blow but it COULD become quite a bit more lethal if he kept staggering around like that and had one of the broken ribs puncture something. She was cut off however at his furious and confusing declaration.
He followed up with another odd claim, that she was not a saiyan. Part of Jala initially wondered if he’d realized she had some cybernetic augmentations, though if he did he was only accurate if he would also consider someone like Zucceta no longer a saiyan, her initial assumption was proven wrong however as he claimed they were sent by the Beppan’s, a VERY odd claim based on what information Jala had.
Perhaps what few saiyans existed here were at odds with the Beppans? The guess was shored up as he declared that he would never tell them where ‘we’ are after yet another furious question from Koshu Jala prepared to explain that she had no clue what he was on about and to point out that she had at no point actually asked anything about whoever he was hiding.
However that was when Koshu promptly tipped forward completely unconscious. It appeared that he had expended what little strength he had left on his bravado filled ranting. Sighing Jala walked over tapping her scouter to get a read on his power, low but not fading which meant he was not dying yet. “Bana wanted to wait on calling it in but if I don’t have the Zenith make it’s way here he’ll probably die without the medbay” Jala muttered to herself, it wasn’t hard to convince herself to send a call for the Zenith,
Habana wouldn't mind due to the potential in Koshu to be a powerful ally and the Zenith would still take long enough that Habana would likely secure or be securing control of Beppa by the time Koshu was loaded into the medbay.
Elsewhere Habana was having her patience tested by the leaders of Beppa, the mercenary world technically was headed up by a council of sorts however while she had caught them in a meeting (conveniently discussing her arrival and her claims of her intentions) the council explained that they were for the most part simply the legislation of Beppa, they ensured that the will of the Baron was made law.
For the most part the council was interested in what Habana was offering, the failing state of the Arcosian Empire was not an ideal place for a mercenary world to be working in as they had requirements to have work approved by the Emperor or Empress, but without an acting leader they could not take on quite as much business as they wanted.
The problem was that while the council liked the idea, as they had explained they simply made the will of the Baron law, it was up to the Baron to decide if Beppa would join the Empire.
When the council explained where it was that Habana could fine him she had required a repeat of the answer followed by a question of ‘are you serious’ to them, followed by laughter and a departure from the council’s chambers.
Now Habana found herself exactly where she needed to be, the Baron’s seat of power. The Dore Stadium, the largest structure in Dore and home to Beppa’s (in Habana’s opinion) greatest export Galactic Pro Wrestling. She’d been a fan of it for quite some time even after Beppa became apart of the Arcosian Empire.
She knew instantly how to get the Baron’s attention, and more than likely how to get him immediately interested in joining the Empire, in all likelihood he already knew of her presence on Beppa which unfortunately meant she’d not be able to take him entirely off guard but this would have to do. With lighting speed and liberal application of her platforms Habana dashed high into the air above the Arena and then simply allowed herself to drop.
Faster and faster Habana fell until finally she came crashing down onto the ring managing a mostly stable landing on one knee as the entire ring and everything in the general vicinity of it shook and the assembled crowd went crazy at the surprise arrival as Habana realized she was interrupting a match.
The wrestlers in the ring took a look at Habana, then each other, then the referee then BACK to Habana who gave them a fierce scowl and indicated for them to get out of the ring. The two large men would ordinarily never given much thought to acquiring such a request but both could feel that Habana was perhaps more than she appeared and decided to exercise caution and exited heading up the ramp to the confusion of the crowd.
“Gimme a damn mic!” Habana barked at one of the nearby officials most of whom were trying to figure out what the HELL was going on. One of the officials with a scouter stopped briefly clearly receiving a message of some sort before doing as Habana asked “I’d like to apologize for the preemptive end to your previously scheduled match, but I’m a bit of a busy Woman so I decided to make this a bit quick, and I think the results will be to everyone’s liking” Habana said into the mic eliciting a mixed reaction from the crowd.
“I am Queen Habana of the Saiyan Solar Empire, and I have come here not just to save Galactic Pro Wresleing, but Beppa as a whole” that got a big reaction out of the crowed, a fair amount of anti-SSE chanting, some ‘what!’s at her claims and a mixed reaction of what she was claiming she was here to do.
“Beppa is in dire need of change, the Arcosian Empire offers you nothing but stagnation, I, and the Empire. Offer you a chance to reclaim the prestiege you had as some of the greatest mercenaries in the galaxy”
“But if I know anything about a true champion of GPW is that they settle things in the ring, so right here, right now, I want to challenge you Korrbin. For your title, and to show you the strength of the Empire, the strength that Beppa and the GPW could be apart of” THAT got a huge reaction out of the crowd, a thunderous mixture of boo’s and cheers, booing for Habana’s arrogant challenge for the title, and cheers for the idea of the match.
There was a long pause and Habana briefly wondered if Korrbin had actually fled, he was hailed as the best of the GPW but there was every liklihood he knew how outmatched he was even if he was twice as strong as someone like Koshu.
Then the lights went out save for five pillars of light leading down the ramp
The familiar music echoed through the stadium and the Baron of Beppa, and current GPW Universal Champion made his way down to the ring, he made no stops for any sort of theatrics with the crowd and as quick as he reached the last pillar the lights returned to the stadium. Korrbin was quickly handed a mic before rolling into the ring.
“I had heard you were around Habana, I never would have figured the Queen of the SSE would step foot in my ring though. Usually I wouldn't just hand out the chances you’re asking for to anyone, usually shots at this” he raises the title high “are earned. But I think we can make an exception, we've had champion verses champion matches before, but not Queen verses Baron” Korrbin said with a smirk exuding a startling amount of confidence and entirely rallying the crowd behind him.
Looking into Korrbin’s eyes Habana could felt as if she could understand some things left unspoken by the Baron, he seemed to know about what she’d been up to since arriving on Beppa and was displaying no actual hostility towards her other than what felt like genuine interest in a match.
Korrbin signaled for the officials to get things started a ring announcer rolling into the ring quickly “The following match is scheduled for one fall and is for the Galactic Pro Wreslting Universaaaaaal Championship, in this corner the challenger, the Queen of the Saiyan Solar Empire HaaaaBANA” the reaction was expectedly mixed with a very heavy lean against her, what could she expect though? “And in the other corner he is the GPW Universal Champion, the Baron of Beppa, Koooooorbiiiiiiiiinnn” an absolute ROAR from the crowd brought a smirk to the mans face as he handed off the title to the announcer who quickly departed the ring as the referee signaled for the bell.
Habana could feel Korrbin was strong, far above average. But still nothing even compared to her base state. That however did not mean she had any intention of simply squashing the man, doing so would do NOTHING to endear her to the people of Beppa, instead Habana fought on Korrbins level initially, the two traded blows and Habana allowed the Baron to get in a lot of his big offensive moves.
Finally he hit her with his finisher, the End of Days. The ref made the count, one.. Two.. and at the last moment Habana kicked out, but in truly spectacular fashion ascending to super saiyan to push Korrbin away. The intensity of the match leading up to that point had somewhat leveled out the crowds opinion on Habana.
Her transformation however was met with a road of approval, even if they didn't necessarily want there Baron to lose it was not every day a crowd witnessed a super saiyan, From there Habana took a far more direct control of the flow of the match and once it seemed like the crowd was reaching a point of dangerous levels of hype and after imaged behind the Baron and grabbed him around the waist wrenching him back for a Vegetan Suplex… and then another… and another… and another, until she’d hit him with ten consecutive suplexes.
Habana pinned the chamion, one. two. three. She could sense she han’t quite genuinely knocked him out but that Korrbin really could not have kicked out even if he wanted. The crowd lost their minds not sure whether to rage at Korrbins defeat or cheer for the sheer impressiveness of the match.
The ref raised Habana’s arm high and handed her the title, to her surprise Korrbin staggered to his feet as well raising her other arm and hooking his arm over her shoulder she helped the man to the back.
To say Korrbin was impressed was an understatement, so long as Habana could aid in bringing even a tenth of that potential to Beppa he was absolutely willing to join the Empire. The full details of the arrangement would be worked out alongside the council but Korrbin was QUITE excited about the future prospects for Beppa.
[ And with that we complete the claim of Beppa for the SSE. I’ll be taking Zeni. ]
