Kiraburu stood in the open-air market, standing at a stand selling various fruits that were supposedly on sale but border on inter-stellar robbery. He picked one up, sniffed, and set it back down without a second thought. He had no money to begin with and the ludicrous prices only lowered the self-esteem of his zeni account more. The morning dew still laid on the top of some of the cloth roofs that barely protected the goods they covered. Every exhale mystified as it exited Kira's mouth and nose and swirled in a hypnotic pattern. Kira spied selling weapons of a decent caliber. His staff was as strong as steel but he prided himself in what Cassel taught him regarding the various fighting styles of Earth and beyond. As he approached the stand the blue eyed person behind the smiled and nodded courteously, a tightly wrapped head dress of purple fabric shifted slightly. Kira picked up an oddly hilted knife; he turned the blade so that the gleaming metal showed his reflection and the rays of the sun danced across the same surface. He admired the edge of the blade, scraping it lightly with his thumb a few times before a small bead of blood escaped the prison of his hardened skin. He twirled the blade a few times before gracefully setting it back on the wooden table it came from.
"Sorry Dear, don't have the funds right now. It's great craftsmanship though."
The young girl standing behind a table of potential death simply seemed down trodden. A small and forced smile slowly spread across her face before she waved as Kira moved on to the next stall, ready to disappoint another vender.

(Thread PL: 16,273,560) (Suppressed PL: 5)
Vi-Poi walked through the North Cap bazaar, face partially disguised by the gigantic white sunhat he’d taken as a souvenir from Namek. No one had looked hard enough at his shadowed face to recognize him yet, but he’d suppose it’d happen eventually. Maybe followed by the clutch of a clammy hand and a jittery request for an autograph. Or an appeal about some tax audit that they hadn’t heard back from yet.
Come one, come all, I’m the one-stop shop for all your bitching-about-the-government needs.
He wouldn’t have been the only loud hawker here. From one of the booths, taped with jarringly-colorful streamers and littered with neon confetti, a rotund and mustached man was belting out a veritable, unwavering storm of salesmanship. “Cronuts! Get your cronuts here, Yun’s Cronuts. It’s a croissant, it’s a donut, fu-shun-HA it’s a cronut! Nothing tastier has ever graced a tongue than Yun’s Cronuts.” He repeated the sales pitch at a nearly delirious rate, bellowing the lines with the same feverish tenacity as before. The cronut vendor would only stop for about half a second, then resume until Fu-shun-HA cronuts! was beaming back and forth in Vi-Poi’s yttrium skull. If he hadn't of felt the red-faced hawker’s chi, Vi-Poi would have sworn he was a fellow android by the insane regularity of his yelling.
Wrinkling his nose, Vi-Poi walked by, tilting the brim of his hat up enough to see his destination. Freeza’s. The best Arcosian ice cream Zeni could buy. His stomach rumbled appreciatively, and he could feel his mouth water. It wasn’t a hot day here in the North, but that didn’t matter. He’d eat Freeza’s Arcosian ice cream during a blizzard. The Frosty Vanilla Whorl was his favorite, but really, all the flavors were good.
As Vi-Poi passed the overzealous cronuts man, he was singled out by the barker. “You there, young man! I see you heading to the ice cream stand. What better combo to go with that chilly dessert than a steaming hot cronut?”
The small crowd around the cronut stand was looking at him now. Shoulders stooped, Vi-Poi hurried off in a random direction, and found himself at the weapon stands. Picking up a huge spiked ring from a shelf, Vi-Poi turned to a guy in a fur vest. “Think this will cut a cronut in half?” He’d ask Kiraburu, blue eyes looking up from under the wide brim of his floppy hat.
Now in focus, Vi-Poi sensed a significant power residing in the fellow. Another fighter. He mused, gaze drifting to the black rod rising past his shoulder. Guess it makes sense to meet a fighter at a weapons seller.

Key : Nate Pip
Notes : Treat nate as a 0 pl npc for now, Thread Pl is 1500.
Pip and Nate walked down the streets of the North Capitol, The two had been traveling for a while now and were quite hungry, Nate's stomach in particular was rumbling like crazy. "sheeeeesh... pipper can we stop by somewhere to get some food... im starvin!" Nate yelled in frustration, causing a few heads to turn as the two continued on their aimless walk. A fragrant smell, which stood out among others settled around Nate, who breathed it in deeply and sighed. He begun to unwillingly follow the smell, Pip walking right behind him the entire time until they had arrived at what was advertised as a Cronut Stand. "heh.. Cronuts huh.... hey pip could ya buy one of those for me" he'd ask, pip instinctively already having taken out a few coins out of apparently thin air and throwing them over to the hungry android. "heh... alrighty then..." he'd comment before heading on over to buy a Cronut.
Pip however, had an ominous feeling. his eyes begun to wander and scan their surroundings. he found nothing particularly standing out, but the feeling would still not go away. Eventually, he'd decide to just ignore it and turned his attention back to Nate, who was now walking back to Pip with two Cronuts in hand. "heh... seems you gave me enough coinage for two of these bad boys, want one?" he offered. Pip was hesitant, but finally decided to just take and eat it. It tasted bland to him, he didn't particularly like it. Nate on the other hand thoroughly enjoyed it as they begun to wander around the city once again.

Kira turned to the young man in an oversized sun-hat. Surreptitiously he had watched the whole encounter that Mr. Hat had at a stand selling a food Kira never even considered eating and chuckled. What're you so afraid of? Jeez.. he turned ever so slightly to avoid his eyes coming in contact with the giant-floppy-brim and smiled.
“Well, you look like someone who could handle it. Just don't accidentally cut the stall in half in the process… I don't think I've ever seen you before. What's your name?”
Kira subconsciously picked up another small blade and began absentmindedly twirling it around his hand and between his fingers, causing the girl behind the stand to squirm uncomfortably. Kira eyed the the hat man up and down, simply trying to get the lay of who he was and what he might be up to. He didn't look like he'd cause trouble. He just looked frantic for something. Hunger maybe? He noticed the child-like nature of the man and his clothes, including the out-of-place giant that may have stood out like a sore thumb. Well… let's see where this goes. Out of a hunch, Kira brought up something he assumed would get his new friend’s attention.
“You know… there's a really popular ice creamery up the street and around the corner of you have a sweet tooth. They say it's the best in the galaxy~.”
Kira chuckled, hoping this would get the new person’s attention and lead off to a spectacular adventure. Or at least make the day as interesting as the hat threatening to blind him every time he even tilted his head slightly. Ah well. Let's see where this goes. He placed the small blade he had been fiddling with back on the dull wooden table and turned towards Vi-Poi leaning against the table now, a slight grin across his face.

Jiang groaned as the sun beat down on her, she’s tried her best to adjust her coat so that the collar would block the rays just a bit but every step she took caused it to bounce and shift away from any sort of protective positioning. She had VASTLY underestimated Xiang’s warnings about how uncomfortable direct sunlight could be until now she’d managed to get away with either not being out in the daylight or having had a hooded coat or hat to protect herself.
The trip over to North City, however, had necessitated using a bit of her vampiric power to boost her speed and in the process, her hat had gone flying into a lake.
Thankfully though the sun was just uncomfortable and not outright lethal and now that she’d found a neat little open market she could pick up a new hat, as such she’d made a beeline for the nearest stall selling halfway decent hats bouncing between the stalls that provided a bit of shade in order to do so.
Holding an amusingly wide brimmed sunhat and a simple North City baseball cap in each hand she debated which would be best for the day when she caught the scent of something almost irresistibly delicious, it took her mind a moment to process what it was over the hundreds of other scents lingering in the air.
Blood.
Of course, it was blood, while she COULD eat and WAS capable of enjoying the scents of normal food they were incredibly subdued compared to what she had remembered before the change. It was still an uncomfortable realization just how much she loved the smell and taste of blood, she’d been working off of mostly animal blood since her initial turn save for her first few feeds.
But this was most certainly NOT animal blood, this was the blood of a person, human maybe? Probably all things considered. Before Jiang even knew what she was doing she’d tossed a few Zeni at the hat salesman, popped the cap on her head, and off she’d set zipping past people and around stalls after the scent.
By the time Jiang realized what she was doing she was already near enough to see the person the blood came from, she bit her lip in frustration as the looked him over, he felt strong, stronger than she was by a bit and even further he had a few others around him. Not that she would have known what to do if had HAD been alone, so far she hadn’t even actually hunted an animal let alone a person.
Jiang blinked a few times as she realized that she had just been contemplating hunting and presumably biting and draining a PERSON. She wanted to be horrified by the thoughts but the revulsion was greatly overwhelmed by her growing hunger.
All the while Jiang failed to realize that at present she was standing mostly in the open very noticeably fixated on the young man who had cut his hand.

Vi-Poi blew out his cheeks with widening eyes as he looked back over his shoulder to see probably the weirdest person he’d ever seen walking up to the cronut stand. He thought he was a Majin at first glance, but he had some kind of armoring like an Arcosian. Another bio-droid. He guessed as he reached out with his mind and felt the strange chi coming off Pip . He didn’t look like much of a threat, at least. He was buying cronuts with a green-haired kid.
Placing the spiked ring down carefully on the crushed velvet he’d snatched it from, Vi-Poi nodded. “I’m Vi,” He said, not finishing the name. "And yeah, Freeza’s is just about the best. They say the one on Arcose has over five million flavors. But the splicer here can make at least a quarter million, which is more than most people would ever wanna try. I think I’ll pass on Grape and Saiba-Slug Fudge, wouldn’t you?” He sniggered, putting his fingers in his shorts pockets as he stepped alongside Kiraburu towards the small ice cream parlor, which through some smart foresight had brought in a fog machine that created an ankle-high pool of icy mist around its exterior.
Something beeped in his eye, and he grimaced, wincing it shut. Not everything was perfectly smooth since joining body and soul with Poi’s ghost. He found himself sometimes startled by his own machinery. There was another power, this one coming from a woman. At first Vi-Poi thought she was staring at him – it was hard to tell with her cool sunglasses and he’d gotten lots of stares since his days as Premier – but after some squinting and some quick math he figured she was actually going buggy for Mister Bo-Staff next to him. In his head, he made about fifty inappropriate jokes about this, then pointed right at her. “Hey, look. She’s staring at you, dude. You should ask her if she wants ice cream, too,” He grinned.
Somewhere behind them, the proprieter of Yun's Cronuts was mistaking Pip for an alien and bellowing, "Even this space-age pink fellow loves my cronuts! They're intergalactic in quality! It's a cronut, it's a donut, fu-shun-HA it's a cronut! Whatever planet this fellow is from, I'd bet my last cinnamon shaker that they'd just adore an invasion of Yun's Cronuts, the finest treat in the Universe."

Pip ignored the proprietors rambling and continued walking aimlessly with Nate. "So pipper.... why are we here exactly?" asked nate as he finished off his cronut. Pip stayed quiet, not responding to nate's question causing a sigh to escape his lips. "-sigh- alrighty then.... so we dont have a reason to be here is what your saying" he'd ask, pip continuing to stay quiet. "yup.. alrighty then.." he'd comment, his arms crossing as he surveyed the area. "well.. we might as well find something to do while were already here" he'd say, pip suddenly stopping and looking over at a shop nearby. It was a bookstore, Nate grunted at the sight of it, already knowing that their fates in the city were sealed. "Ugh.... are we really gonna be reading the entire time we're here?" he'd ask, his question already being answered by pip who was already halfway to the shop. "tch.... alrighty then.." he sighed before following after the pink creature.

Kira watched Vi's exasperated expression as he eyed up the... well Kira didn't exactly know what that individual was. He traveled with a green-haired kid and look almost like a majin only... well it wasn't important. He saw the kid fork up the dough for a cro-nut that look rather questionable in origin and decided that was a stand that Kira himself would be visiting any time soon. Vi turned to Kira and told him his name. Kira smiled back as Vi went on to describe the ice-cream place Kira had heard of but never actually been to. Sounded like a fun experience over all. His smile faded as Vi brought up a concoction that hardly sounded passible as human sustenance and grimaced.
"Grape and Saiba-Slug Fudge? What species does it take to enjoy that?"
Kira's smile faded as he felt another stronger presence pip into the immediate vicinity. It wasn't a huge presence, just a strong one. He turned towards the direction it felt it waving from and his eyes widened slightly as he saw what looked like a human female, with massive sunglasses and watched as she basically through a few zeni in the face of a hat-vender and pick up the nearest thing that offered shade and perched upon her head. If she had picked up a parakeet and it blocked out enough sun she probably wouldn't have noticed the difference in the hurry she was in. The woman barreled through a crowd of people and stood dead in the center of the bizarre, transfixed on something behind Kira. He turned again, looking over his shoulder and upon realizing that the only thing behind him was a massive wall of air, realized her gaze fell upon him.
Kira blushed ever so slightly as Vi brought up the fact he had somehow managed to attract a females attention in some way shape or form. His eyes trailed off for just a moment as he watched Pip and the boy walk away from the cro-nut stand with an extremely open vender practically screaming about his proud product. He moved his eyes back to Jiang Shi after a few seconds and realized she was totally transfixed at him. Subconsciously, at that same moment, he shook the few drops of blood falling of his hand to the ground and moved his cut thumb to his mouth. He tried to smile at her but honestly flight just uncomfortably; ever the gentleman however, he waved her over, keeping his thumb in his mouth for some reason.

Jiang’s eyes widened as the guy in the wide brimmed hat pointed at her and then pointed out that she had not been particularly subtle about watching them she bit her lip briefly before nervously taking a step back half tempted to just sprint off further into the market, her vampiric instincts to pursue the fresh flowing blood, however, urged her to lunge at the other guy resulting in Jiang simply standing stock still for a few moments until the bleeding guy responded to the comment.
She’d sort of hoped that he would have just been confused and maybe just creeped out enough to try and avoid any interactions but instead actually waved her over. The further encouragement to come closer was just enough to push her over the edge on her decision of what to do. With a sigh Jiang nervously walked over to the group.
“Er… Uh.. Hey. How are you guys doing, I’m Jiang” Jiang said, her normal somewhat confident nature hindered by her need to keep herself in control around the bleeding guy. Why she had thought getting CLOSER was a good idea was beyond her comprehension as now it took all her willpower to try and drag her eyes away from him.

“CRONUTS! Get your cronuts, here! These delicious rings of crispy and sweet, buttery dough are just the thing to crave your hunger," The vendor's voice suddenly gained a somber quality. "For every hundred cronuts purchased today, one zeni will be donated to the Blue Banner Army Veterans Association. Won't you support our troops, who so bravely sacrificed for us all?" Gosh, this cronut guy had no shame. Vi-Poi kinda admired him. "What is a cronut you ask? It’s a donut! It’s a croissant! Fu-shun-HA it’s a cronut! Yun's Cronuts!”
Vi-Poi lifted a shoulder in a shrug at Kiraburu’s question. “What kind of species? Prolly a really gross one. Like Booger-seijin,” He said, throwing out an imaginary species. “There’s lots of gross species,” He explained, then winced. That sounded bigoted. “I mean, they probably think we’re gross too."
Talking about strange creatures made Vi-Poi look for that pink creature. His eyes found it nearby, heading for a bookstore. It looked like someone had used a man-shaped cookie cutter on some bubble gum then threw it in the microwave for a little bit. But in a good way.
When Jiang introduced herself, he was still a bit distracted. “Hey Jiang, I’m Vi,” He said, making sure that Pinky didn’t go poof somewhere while not totally ignoring this girl, who looked utterly head-over-heels for Kiraburu. It almost reminded him of obsessive fans, which was a little strange. Movie junkie that Vi-Poi was, he was pretty sure Kiraburu hadn’t ever starred in anything, even under a pseudonym. But all the symptoms of fandom were there. The wide-eyed recognition. The jitteriness. The hesitation. The excitement. That wasn’t bad in itself – most fans were like that. The problem was, most obsessive fans were like that, too. Vi-Poi had a few of those, oh yes. He’d been cornered by a squealing one once, and had to pry her clammy hands from his throat. Some people found the Premier to be an object of supreme adoration, he supposed.
“One sec,” Vi-Poi said to his new buddy. “I’ve got to find out about this.” He made an explanatory shove in the air towards Pip. With a wink to Kiraburu -- who would have to deal with the fangirling on his own – Vi-Poi meandered through the crowd until he was standing right under Pinky.
He waved. “Those cronuts any good?” Vi-Poi asked Pip , hoping to spark some conversation and maybe figure out what quadrant this guy hailed from. “That guy won’t shut up about them.”

"hm?...." pip grunted, slowly turning around with his arms crossed as he looked up at the blue haired figure in front of him. Pip grunted once more, ignoring the question he'd been asked before asking himself- "who are you?" as Nate continued on into the bookstore, grumbling about something as he entered. Kira watched Vi leave and immediately questioned his entire reality as the girl, who looked to be in some sort of hypnosis and something Kira was doing, just stood there and made Kira feel uncomfortable in his own skin. Subconsciously he looked behind him, and besides a stand selling some sort of cactus that appeared to bounce in its self-watering pot, he was apparently the only thing of interest in the vacinity.
"Curse you Vi..." he thought to himself as everything started spiraling around him as he closed his eyes and closed a fist in front of his face to steady his heart rate."why'd you have to leave me with... 'this'... whatever 'this is' (authors note: referring to the situation, not the individual.) Again without thought he picked up another small blade. This one had a straight pummel with a pearl on the end with the hilt coming up as the blade merged from a snakes mighty-jaws. He spun it around his thumb expertly and looked at the ground, avoiding any eye contact with anyone that even glanced at him. He continued twirling it around and around as Jiang approached and stuttered something to the effect of "Um hi, I'm jiang." In all reality Kira hadn't heard it, it was just watching a blade spinning around his thumb for no reason. Though, he supposed that it was better than having jiang just blush in his direction; yet if he cut himself again it'd probably be even more serious...
"Um... Sir?" A nervous shopgirl asked for Kira's attention. Still the knife continued spiraling, its weird blade inching ever closer to his wrist and the fleshy part of his hand. "Sir you should really be careful-" then lose of the shop girl was drowned out as The knife seemed to make a whirring noise right in Kira's ears. "Sir...bleeding...pay-" still no noise. Kira thought he should probably respond to Jiang since it'd been a while since she'd introduced herself to him and Vi, before his new friend had so lovingly thought putting him in this situation had been a good idea.
"hi, I'm Kiraburu... protector of the North and Guardian of the mountains...," he had no idea why he said that or his full title but I seemed to fit the situation. "Just Kira for short please. It's an honor to meet you-" forgetting the knife in his hand Kira extended it, it spiraled out of control flew slightly intot the air, rotated downward and gouged into the fleshiest part of Kira's hand. A large stream of blood now poured onto the asphalt that the bizarre stood on. It painted the ground in puddles of crimson and black and as the stream came to a stop only the ripples of new drops falling into it disturbed the reddened reflection of the sky on its surface. Kira went pale, not from pain but from knowing he'd just made the situation worse.
"SIR!!!!" The ever-present voice of the shop keeper rang out as the teenage girl rushed out and tried to stop the bleeding. It occurred to Kira that the other cut on the same hand hadn't stopped bleeding either.
"Sorry let me try that again" Kira said with a painfully forced smile and a being practically bulging out of his forehead" I'm Kira, the moron. It's a pleasure to meet you."
(Sorry, I'm away from home for a couple more days and typing on my phone again.. so no color or italicizes.)

Jiang briefly managed to turn her attention from Kira and more importantly his wound as the other guy introduced himself giving his rather simple though still quite unique name ‘Vi’ it felt REALLY familiar like it belonged to someone big and important but ultimately she couldn’t place it. Maybe he shared a name with some sort of movie star? She was almost entirely out of the loop on current events as her past few months had been almost literally living under a rock to learn the ways of what she had become and then actually moving back into the world.
The fact that Jiang hadn’t really paid much attention to politics in the first place all but guaranteed she didn’t recognize that the name and look of the man before her belonged to the Earth’s current ruler, Premier Vi-Poi.
Try as she might to regain some semblance of acting like a normal person Vi departed their side to meet up with a thing that looked like it was made of chewed bubble gum.
Without Vi around Jiang’s attention quickly returned to the other guy as he spoke up. Perhaps this was actually a good thing, he wasn’t bleeding too heavily so she could use this as a chance to sort of ease into dealing with people around blood and maybe even start getting a handle on her self-control enough to act normal.
And then, as the guy introduced himself he slashed open his hand causing blood to spray out all over the ground and Jiang's eyes went wide as she watched the scene transfixed by the events unfolding and frankly more than a little unsure this wasn’t some sort of sick dream brought on by having kept away from drinking people.
Jiang’s breathing became noticeably heavier as another girl rushed over to help get his open wound under control. “I…. I I should go” Jiang said, and one would expect such a statement to be followed by a goodbye or perhaps a hurried exit. Instead, Jiang just stood there only a slight shift in her posture indicating she’d at least on some level made an attempt to move but the rest of her body appeared to simply refuse the order.
