In a forest, far removed from his home, Speenatch was once again training. He wasn’t bothering with heavy exercise, or whittling trees and mountains down. They didn’t really do much for him, anymore. At least beyond a bit of general fitness. So while he still did push-ups, sit-ups, running… he didn’t consider them “training”. Training was an activity to not only maintain your current level of skill and fitness, but to improve beyond it. Those exercises were only keeping him at his current level. So, instead of doing that, he was practicing his punches. And his kicks. Every move in his kick-boxing repertoire was brought forth. Each one repeated over and over, at least a hundred times. ‘ Like Mister Satan once said… Tha man that practices a hunnerd punches one time is a sucker, tha man that practices one punch a hunnerd times is a man ta fear.’ Today, it would be a hundred each. Tomorrow, two hundred. The day after that, three hundred… and then he’d probably stop adding hundreds at that point. No need to get ridiculous. He kept his power level hidden, as per-usual when he wasn’t in active combat. No need to attract attention from more powerful foes than he could handle. More powerful foes like… a five-foot-tall woman that became enraged upon seeing a “stinky man” in her clearing. Said five-foot-tall woman was why he had skipped over the Bamboo Forest closer to his home. Instead, he’d opted for spending some time in the “Fukurou Forest” It was supposedly a sacred place, awash with spiritual energies. Hence the second reason why he’d chosen it. Speenatch had plans… plans like trying to figure out how Big Train had been able to pull so much power out of nowhere. And how to boost his own power in a similar way without almost dying in the process. He knew it was in there… locked away until he needed it. ‘ But I don’t wanna hafta almost die ta pull it out fer only a coupla seconds... I just gotta figure out how ta wrench it up without causin’ ma insides ta bleed. Well, hopefully I c’n figure it out here… far away from aliens pretendin’ ta be demons, weirdly strong Saibamen, regular aliens, angry humans… and, most importantly...’ He gave a few extra cross-punches towards thin air, trying to keep them all perfectly aligned with each other. ‘ Away from any Saiyans.’ Right as he thought this, he felt a power approaching. Nothing major, or really a threat to him. But still, quite respectable… ‘ Huh… kinda close ta what my level was back when I first unlocked ma power.’ And with that, it was back to cross-punch-practice. If the guy could channel ki, he could probably sense it. Or at the very least hear him grunting and ghost-boxing. ' Good on ya, bro. Bein' anti-social and avoidin' contact with anybody that comes near ya. That'll help with tha voices in yer head...' Speenatch paused all thought for a moment... Savoya was hijacking his head again. After taking a deep breath inwards, he decided not to respond to any voice that wasn't his own inside his head. He exhaled all of it out with a deep sigh, and continued his practice... Simultaneously, he opened his lips to call out to the person he couldn't see, but knew was there... " 'Ey buddy! Ya lost?! Nearest town's miles away!" Auber was not expecting to find anyone here, much less such a...unique looking Earthling. As he landed his tail was pretty much hidden behind his back. He could not sense Ki yet, so he had no idea the Earthling was vastly stronger than him. "I plan to use this area to train, if you know what's good for you, you'll move along." The Saiyan never usually acted like this much of a bully, but he had woken up that morning in a foul mood and had come here to blow off some steam.
He pushed his way past the Earthling to stand in the clearest spot of the forest. His monkey tail would now be in clear view of the Earthling. Auber focused on summoning a bigger and bigger ki-blast in his hands but struggled to get the concentration right. He had never been a disciplined fighter, his combat style being closer to just an explosion of energy rather than a sleek refined flow of different styles.
The more he tried and failed, the more and more frustrated he would become, deciding to take his anger out on the thing closest to him he turned to the Earthling and shouted. "LEAVE, YOU'RE RUINING MY CONCENTRATION!" it would've been bad enough to leave it at that but the Saiyan also launched a barrage of Ki-blasts in the Earthling's direction to really get his point across.

Speenatch had been about to wave to the man as he landed down in the clearing... but he paused, and then lowered it back down again. Why? This random stranger was showing a very grumpy attitude. And an entitled one, too, with how he made demands before even saying hello!
'Who raised this guy, tha king a' Rudensia? Where tha primary export is attitude?'
The man's attire certainly was... "unique", for lack of a better term. Today, he was training in his clash-colored gi, instead of those ratty old sweat-pants. An aqua colored top that showed off a broad and hairy chest, bright orange pants that hung loosely around his legs, a neon green belt to hold his top down... and pink boots. Along with a pair of red-rimmed, dark-lensed shades. Oddly enough, on his wrist were a pair of black bands, dark as the void. Each was bearing a golden jewel in the center. A pair of anklets were hidden by his boots and pants, but they had a similar design.
Now, to top it all off... was his hair. Hair that covered his exposed arms and chest quite heavily. It also was plastered on his face, in the form of a goatee. And on top of his head? Well, right over a fuzzy pair of eye-brows was a thick, poofy mullet-style mane. Which fell down to his shoulder blades around the back.
All in all... very odd looking by Earthling or Saiyan standards.
Now, back to the rude man and Speenatch's response to him...
"Ey! I wus 'ere first, ya twiggy lil' jerkaholic!" He barked this out in his "Steel" affect, while waving his fist. He stood his ground as the grumpy man in the hoody pushed past him. Only moving to turn after he'd been passed, while opening his mouth to continue the trash-talk...
"And another thing! Didn't yer mother ever teach ya ta... be... polite...?" His angry tirade fizzled and trailed off before it had even gotten a proper amount of steam.
The reason? He noticed something sticking out of the other fellow's back. A tail. A long... brown... monkey-like tail. And on a body that human-like, it could only mean one thing...
'A s-s... SSSsssss... Suh-Suh... A Ssssaaaaaayyyyy....'
'A Saiyan.'
'Yeah, that...'
His body froze up, unable to move under his own power. All he could do was stand there, grit his teeth, and shiver... all while staring right ahead at this Saiyan interloper with eyes that bulged behind his shades.
All too quickly, the Saiyan got fed up with his silent presence. Taking out aggression and rage on him in the form of ki-blasts. The lower power was forgotten as Speenatch let out a loud, terrified scream. Arms flew up to shield his shades and face as he fell to his knees in fear... and then... they hit. Blasts impacting against his skin with full force! SLAMMING into his body and-... Doing nothing.
They didn't leave a single scratch on him. Not one. Partially because he was so much more powerful than the Saiyan. Partially because he'd pumped ki into his arms to strengthen them against such hits. And, finally, because the squat, short-ish man had inadvertently dodged some of those sloppily-delivered hits when he fell. All in all, the Saiyan's attacks did far more damage to the trees behind Speenatch, than Speenatch himself.
And after a few moments of cowering, Speenatch realized this himself. Leaping to his feet while putting on what he hoped was a confident smirk and not a nervous grin.
'Huh... guess ma blockin' technique really does work.'
"HA! That all ya got ya darn, dirty monkey?!"
'Wow, ya went from coward ta hero real fast when ya remembered tha power gap, huh.'
'....Shaddap, Savoya.'

Auber panted slightly as he waited for the dust to clear in the area he had just blasted. He had not heard the man's insults, so it was safe to assume his attack was a matter of frustration rather than offense. However eventually when the smoke had dissipated, the man stood unharmed, the same unfortunately, could not be said for the trees. Auber's tail flicked slightly as he saw the man without a scratch on him. The Saiyan walked closer and looked the man over from top to bottom. "You're a strong fighter of this planet then..." he stated, he wasn't really asking, it was more of just a note to himself. Looking the man in the eyes...or sunglasses, he finally introduced himself. "My name is Auber, and I demand you train me!" he stated bluntly. Not a please or thank you to be seen. The Saiyan turned his back on the man and waited for his response.

Speenatch saw no reaction from Auber in response to his taunt. Instead, the Saiyan just... stared. And with no hint of anger in his eyes. There was some confusion there, and a steely-eyed determination, but no rage.
'Ohthankgoodnesshedidn'thearme!'
'Aaaaaaand there it goes. Just as quick as it came.'
What happened next surprised Speenatch. Instead of challenging him to a fight upon seeing him as a worthy foe, or leaving since he couldn't win... Auber walked up the man wearing strange garb. Just strolled on over while examining his body. Giving the whole of the 5'2" Earthling a once over... From the top of his outrageous hair to the tips of his pink boots. All was examined. Every hairy inch. Speenatch's grin never wavered the whole time, though he did fidget and shiver every now and again.
'The hell is he doin? Checkin' me out?'
'Guess yer gonna hafta tell 'im ya don't swing that way.'
'Why are ya just crackin' jokes right now?'
'A... I'm not really here right now. I'm just watchin'. B... fer all ya know, I'm not even real and I'm just a copin' mechanism. C... Ya know me. Ya know why, squirt.'
While he was having this mental conversation, the strange Saiyan seemed to have finished his inspection. And then he spoke. What he said next surprised the fighter. In a lot of ways.
He showed the surprise and confusion on his face, just... staring at the Saiyan's back for a moment. His ki-senses peered in... finding that there was no extra power coming from this lad. No hidden potential, no energy lying dormant... just what he was showing now. So, clearly, he wasn't going to randomly power up and stomp Speenatch flat. He also, presumably, wasn't going to stab the Earthling in the back just yet. Which begged the question...
"Ya want me ta... train ya? What, ya mean long-term, er just fer today? Cause one'll get ya more'n tha other. Hint, it's tha first option."
'This dude's a total ice queen. Oooo! Let's defrost 'im!'
'Savoya... shaddap.'
'Make me!'

Auber put a hand to his chin and thought for a moment. "I suppose short or long term is a factor that will be decided if I deem your training now useful or not." he finished his thought, his eyes narrowing for a moment. "Of course, if it isn't worth it, then when I am stronger I will find you and blast you into dust and then blast that dust into smaller dust." the Saiyan threatened whilst wearing the same cocky smirk on his face.
He turned and moved away from the earthling, fully aware that if he wanted to Speenatch could break every bone in his body with a single punch, but Auber had taken note of the uncountable fear that was broadcasted by the Human's entire body. Speenatch was afraid, and the Saiyan planned to twist that to his advantage in every way possible.
"So, Human, Let's begin, what do we start with. What is the first order of business?" he asked, eager to get right into the action. He did hope this training would prove useful for him, but it was no huge loss if it didn't turn out that way.

Speenatch gave an all-too-nervous laugh in response to Auber's threat. While the Saiyan was far below his own power... So was Big Train at some point. And he'd surpassed Speenatch by leaps and bounds the last time they'd met. Therefore, it wasn't too big of a leap to assume that this guy would eventually outstrip his "mentor"...
'And I can't just kill 'im now... cause then I'm the bad guy.'
Yup, he was certainly afraid. But it didn't show in his voice, at least...
"Well alrighty then, dealarooni I guess!" He put a hand to his chin, stroking his goatee as he pondered just how to start things off. How would one begin with this sort of thing?
'Oh, I know... assessment!'
He waited for Savoya's sarcastic quip in response. For her to add some insult or jab... but she seemed to be gone after the conversation with Auber started up. That was strange...
'Wait a moment... how is it weird ta... not hear voices in ma head? ...Questions fer later.'
"Right, so startin' off..." Speenatch trailed off back into deep thought... then snapped his fingers before speaking up again, "Well, first I gotta know what you know so that way I don't teach ya somethin' that's already in yer noggin'!" While explaining that, he thumbed towards himself... then towards Auber, then to his own head. All in order of what he was referring to.
After that, he straightened back up and folded his arms. "So... in order, tell me what ya know about tha theory o' ki, what fightin' styles 'er martial arts yer familiar with, and... what kinda techniques yer best with."
By the end of his list, he had three fingers poking out from under a forearm. And he held them there until Auber answered each of the three questions.
((Dude, it's fine. I know your pain.))

Auber could barely understand the words and mannerisms the Earthling exhibited and was only really absorbing about half of what Speenatch was spewing out of his mouth, so instead of making any specific comments the young Saiyan just nodded along with the occasional "Uh huh..."
Auber did however understand that the man wanted to know what he knew before they started training. His first question was about the theory of Ki. The boy thought for a good while, tapping his foot and throwing in various 'umms' and 'aaahs' after a few more moments he simply stated "Pass."
His second question was what combat and Martial arts styles he was proficient with. This incited further umms and ahhhs from the Saiyan as he realised he had never actually learned any. His fighting style was just to throw all his power at his opponent until they stopped. He was always just a flame ignited that would madly rush his opponent with everything it had. He had never refined it into any sort of style. So once again he answered "Pass.
His third and final question, what techniques was he best with. Now that was an easy one, he was a master flyer and he was the best at his own techniques that he had created than anyone else was. Therefore "My own techniques" was the answer he gave.
Hopefully he had provided enough information to his new teacher that they could get to training, as the impatient young Saiyan was beginning to get bored.

Speenatch's smile faded little by little with each one-word answer that Auber provided. It seemed the Saiyan had little, if any, actual training. This was a bit perplexing when one considered their status as a warrior race. As in, almost the entire species was devoted to fighting. You'd think they'd make sure combat training was mandatory or something...
'Ah well, lucky me they don't. 'Er else I'm purty sure this fella would've just blasted me ta nothin' if he weren't less powerful than me...'
He took a long, slow breath inwards... Then he got his grin back on. This one seemed less nervous, more determined. Even if Auber was a Saiyan... and kind of a jerk... He needed guidance in the art of combat. And he'd actually asked Speenatch for help. Well "asked" was a strong word. Maybe something more like "said" or "demanded". Still Speenatch wasn't going to hold it against him. Auber was probably being very polite by Saiyan standards. For example, he hadn't continuously tried to attack the human after his first attack had failed. That was... something.
He let out the air he'd inhaled through his nose. Then, he spoke...
"Well alrighty-dighty then! Seems like I know what I gotta start teachin' ya... Startin' tomorrah." He began to roll his shoulders and stretch his neck as he continued... "Today, I'm gonna figger out how much raw talent I'm workin' with." He began cracking the knuckles on his fist. First by simply pressing against the back of his fingers... then by popping each individual joint. One at a time, they all let out a crunchy popping noise.
He slowly settled into a fighting stance. Legs spread shoulder-length apart, with one behind the other. All of his weight was on the front leg, which was bent slightly. The rear foot, meanwhile, was positioned so he was standing on the ball of it, rather than the heel. His hands formed fists, and rose up. One rested near his cheek, thumb brushing against the stubble. His other hand was held out just a short distance in front of his head, knuckles level with his chin. A chin which bore a smirk on its goateed face.
"How'sabout we see how long ya last in a friendly lil' spar against "The Unbreakable Mister Steel", eh?"
'Now if I know anythin' about Saiyans...'
'Which ain't much.'
'Oh hey, Savoya, welcome back. Anyways.... If I know anythin' about Saiyans, he'll be excited by a chance ta get a good fight in. Even if he ain't gonna win.'

Auber gave his neck a small crack in preparation for the upcoming spar he was to have with his new...mentor? The Saiyan wasn't exactly sure he liked the sound of that. He knew already the Earthling was stronger than him, so if he wanted to do any damage at all he would have to be fairly clever. Thus he came out of whatever he decided passed for a combat stance, simply stated "I'd rather not." and began walking off.
Once he was sure Speenatch had dropped his guard he would launch himself off a tree and fly back with as much speed as he could muster in an attempt to bunch the goatee right off the strange human's face. If his initial attack was blocked he would launch off of the human and cover his escape with a series of basic ki-blasts.
"Well then teacher, let's do this!" he would taunt as he launched his next attack, he would fly towards Speenatch and attempt a roundhouse kick on his head. Completing that Auber would be behind the Human and would perform a frontflip in the air, to bring his tail crashing down onto his new teacher's head.
After this flurry of attacks which may have failed or succeeded the Saiyan would fly a fair distance back and begin channeling Ki into four fingers on his left hand. Slowly, purple energy would begin to spark from the tips of his fingers and he would point them at Speenatch. "Warrior's spear!" the Saiyan would yell as the thin beam shot towards his opponent at speed.

Speenatch was confused for a moment when the Saiyan refused his invitation. Just staring with a puzzled look on his face. A Saiyan... refusing a fight... It didn't add up in his head. As his body relaxed from its ready position, he shrugged.
'Welp, guess I'll just hafta wait till tomorrah ta- OH MY!'
He was caught off guard by Auber's sudden attack, at least at first. After he leapt off the tree... he seemed to move so slowly from the human's perspective. Despite the fact that the Saiyan was probably travelling faster than a normal eye could perceive. As such, he was more than able to block it... or angle his head slightly so he was out of the way of the fist. The ki-blasts got him, though. They stung like air-soft pellets hitting his body as they impacted. Luckily, he covered his face in time, so most of them hit his torso or his forearms.
After the dust cleared, he called up... "Clever tactics there! And ya had a back-up plan fer if ya failed. That's a keen mind ya got there!"
He blocked the roundhouse kick with one arm, and didn't bother turning around as Auber moved behind him. Speenatch could sense him without laying eyes on him anyways, and hear and feel what he was doing. As such, he was able to grab his "student's" tail before it hit his head. Luckily for the Saiyan, he didn't keep hold of it... instead just using it to fling him in a random direction.
'Huh... so this is wut it feels like ta be errybody else.'
As Auber floated above him, and began to charge up his ki, Speenatch gave both compliments and advice about that last flurry of attacks. Meanwhile, he began to channel ki into his own hand... While making the shape of a "finger gun". "And yer usin' erry part ya got in tha fight! Good thought, but ya gotta make sure ya don't over-extend yerself by doin' that!"
He pointed the finger gun's "barrel" (his index and middle fingers) up towards the Saiyan. A little orb of orange ki capped them. Just shining as it slowly grew...
"Bang-Bang Blaster...!" He called out the name of his technique, though he didn't fire it immediately. Waiting until Auber had sent out his own attack... As soon as the "Warrior's Spear" was thrown, his thumb clicked down as he shouted, "FIRE!"
And with that, his attack was off. An orb slightly bigger than the size of his fist raced towards his foe, at the head of a beam that was actually the same size as his fist. As bright orange energy collided with purple power... it caused a struggle of beams! One that lasted a moment or two before, all too quickly... The orange won out, speeding towards Auber with most of its power still intact.
((Technique Used: [N1] Bang-Bang Blaster, released at 33% PL. Attack Strength = 3,344 PL.)) ((Bang-Bang Blaster [3,344 PL] clashes with Warrior's Spear [396]... Bang-Bang Blaster wins with 2,948 PL still intact. Now heading for Auber.)) ((KP: 2/3))
