Thread PL: 22,591 The wastelands...the same place where Collan was originally trained by his mother, and one of the more deserted places he could think of. This is exactly what he needed, a place to sit down alone and think to himself. After what had happened...he needed to wonder 'was he really the kind of hero people needed'?
After what had happened...that man died because the white haired wonder goofed around, he didn't take out those thugs as soon as possible. This is why he was here now, to see if he was worth it, to see if he was wanted, to see if he was needed. Collan clenched his fist, thinking about it just made him want to go back and blow those gun wielding fools to smithereens.
But that wasn't the right choice...he had to calm down, just killing the goons would make things worse. The world wants a hero that can save everyone without killing anyone. But sadly that was almost impossible, the shouldn't get what they want, they should get what they need!...but sadly they would most likely not accept that.
The young hybrid sat down, trying to take a rest, he was probably going to need it if he was going to be here for a while.

Sundavr hummed as she sauntered through the Wasteland. The Majin fighter hadn't been up north in what felt like an eternity, and it was good to be back in what were, from her point of view, normal temperatures. As she meandered through the barren terrain, she caught a glimpse of what seemed to be a white-haired young man. She frowned, stopping and squinting in hopes of getting a better look. After a few moments, the grey-skinned coquette abandoned that method and approached the figure. "Hey, you!" she called, perhaps a bit more loudly than necessary in her cold-induced exuberance, "Aren't you the boy from The Scemo back in South City?"

[Heyo, removed the DE from the thread title. Nothing in the introduction post seems to warrant it. If some conflict whips up and it becomes a DE that's fine but for now this is more suited for a normal open thread]

As he sat around, he suddenly heard a voice, turning to the person who was trying to get his attention. It was the Majin from a while ago. "Oh...hey." He turned back away from her, he definitely wasn't in the mood for whatever she had going. "I really can't deal with this right now...and I doubt you would be bale to deal with what's going on with me either."If Rinsuji were to talk to him right now, he'd probably compare Collan to and edgy teenager. "I need time to myself, so if you could just go that would be really great." He finally started going back to thinking, hoping this would make the Majin leave. Sundavr Andlat Short post is short.

Well, he didn't sound very excited to see her. Sundavr frowned, tilting her head as she stared at him. "...I'm sorry, but what exactly is it that you can't deal with? I'm not exactly a walking disaster area, so I have no idea what you mean by that" she remarked dryly, raising a non-existent eyebrow. "And being alone never helps people in your situation. Honestly, it only increases the depression. Come on, you can talk to me!"

The white haired hybrid would sigh heavily when Sundavr had insisted to stay and talk. I mean...maybe getting his problem off his shoulders to someone that he had met before would help but...he didn't know her that well...he sighed again. "Might as well give it a shot." Standing up and breathing in, he was ready to talk for a bit. "I...I was hanging around the city, talking with some friends and other people when a group of thugs came in...the thing was, I hadn't take it seriously. I goofed around, tried to act like a hero, and it's because of that a man had died, I didn't try to stop them as soon as they entered...I didn't notice the man got shot...he had a wife."He remember those eyes...the eyes of the woman looking into his. They gave him fear, fear of what would happen if he goofed off like that again. "I had just come here to think...to think of if I'm really up for the hero business..." Collan sighed once again, looking at Sundavr "Have you ever seen someone die? Seen a death you could have stopped? If not, then I reccommend again that you leave, as you wouldn't understand."The 'hero' in training went back to sitting down, trying to start his thought process again. Sundavr Andlat

Sundavr nodded, smiling, as the ivory-haired hybrid acquiesced to her request for him to explain things to her. That smile quickly disappeared, however, the moment Collan actually began telling her what happened. She grimaced, rubbing the back of her head. "Oh.... wow, that's....." she grimaced, unable to put it into words. After a moment, Sundavr took a deep breath. "Look... I haven't seen anyone die before. I'm a bit young for that, considering my lifestyle, but I do know that if you give up because of this, you most certainly aren't a hero. You made a mistake... so what? Every hero makes mistakes. But the good ones pick themselves back up, dust themselves off, and get back to work. They always try harder after that, but the don't let it pull them down. If you want to be a pathetic little emo kid, that's your business. But you can't be both that and a hero." She looked at him, her face containing traces of both pity and contempt, for several moments before turning away.

[Thread PL: 58,014 HW ON: 14,503]
Edoma was left racing towards the north for the second time this month. If this didn't solidify his utter hatred for the frozen hemisphere, he didn't know what would. So far nothing good has come from the place, maybe except for a single encounter out of dozens. Still, one good instance wasn't enough to counter years of frustration, anger, sorrow... the north just sucks. Still, he was hoping that he could do some good himself for someone he could easily empathize with back in the south city. Soon he found it, Collan's energy, along with a completely new person. The second Majin Edoma had ever seen. The teen landed next to the two, kicking up a small wisp of dust. "There you are." he noted, making his way over. He looked down at the clearly distraught fighter, not showing too much sympathy, but not glaring at him, just a stern inquisitive look. "So what happened back there?" he asked him. Truthfully, the hybrid knew all too well what happened, the death of an innocent person can be devastating, and being placed in the eyes of the killer, when he didn't ever want to be, he knew what Collan was going through to an extent. -------------- Sorry if it's a little short, I'm on mobile for this one

As Collan sat and listened to Sundavr's response, he wasn't surprised at what she said at first. But what did surprise him was what she followed up with, was she...insulting him? No, it wasn't that, but at the same time it was. She was also encouraging him, when she had finished...Collan chuckled. "You know...the way you talk, kind of reminds me of an old friend of mine." As he continued to sit where he was, he turned towards Sundavr. "This is the second time you've given me advice...though I can't really tell if either of the times are useful or not." Taking a deep breath, and breathing it all back out, Collan put on a smile. Though it really wasn't whole, as he hasn't fully recovered from what happened earlier. Finally standing up, he saw Edoma come over, asking about what's going on. "Oh...it's fine now, sort of, just trying going to think." Turning back to Sundavr, he grabbed her shoulders. "You're right, I do need to stop mopping around, but I still need to think though. Hopefully I can turn things around...all thanks to you."Still smiling, he let go of the Majin's shoulders and slapped her on the back...with all her strength. If she got hit by this, he simply say "Oops" As she goes flying, but if dodged, he'll shrug and hope she didn't think he was trying to hurt her or something. Sundavr Andlat
