Vol. 2 - Chapter 12 Xylo's BROTHER?! The Kind-Hearted Namekian; Helix Crust! [CLOSED]
[ Thread PL: 204,941 ] Control. Kizuki had learned to fully control his heightened emotions and power once in the Super Saiyajin state. His energy was even greater now, and a sense of comfort washed over him once transformed. He knew from the power that he felt from the half Demon female, Zerori, that he was nowhere near the amount of power he required. However, this was the basis for overcoming the wall. The power of the Saiyajin Warrior was infinite. He had a long way to go, if there was any truth to the monstrosity that laid tucked back into the dark recesses of his mind all this time. Kizuki found himself at the Blood Pond again, one of the more populated areas of Hell. It was also where the most interesting things had happened to Kizuki thus far in his time in the underworld. He figured if there was any way to continue training it would be here. He generally ignored everyone and everything around him, his body could be seen hovering just barely an inch above the red liquid that filled the pond; rumor was that it was actually blood, from which the pond got its name. The tips of his boots barely made contact, standing there in his tattered grey gi, ruined from his excursion with Alaistair and Mount Ketsueki, as well as the meditation chamber fiasco. He had seen better days overall. Hovering there, with his eyes closed, the Saiyajin appeared to be focusing on something, meditating and trying to understand what his mind and body had to overcome to breach the Super Saiyajin wall. In flash, his eyelids would burst open to reveal bright, emerald eyes as an aura of golden energy erupted around him from his feet to overhead, his entire body reflecting a bit brighter due to the energy. His hair, thick spikes of black would streak to a golden color as per usual. The bloody waters of the pound around him would swirl and swish violently from the surge of his energy. An Oni, who was happily attempting to fish began to bark obscenities at the Saiyajin, most likely for disrupting his much anticipated time off fishing. Kizuki wasn't focused on that, though. Something else had his attention. [ MSSJ Activated - New Thread PL: 3,074,115 ]
Without warning, an obscenely large fish-like creature would emerge from the depths of the pond. It was hideous looking, with several large eyes and jagged teeth, bigger than a large truck! How the hell did THAT fit in THERE? Again, things that didn't matter to the Saiyajin. However, it seemed to find Kizuki's burst of energy attractive enough to eat, as opposed to be frightened by it. Kizuki's right arm would extend out, aimed up at the devil fish as it came down towards him, large mouth gaping open. Blurring from view, the Saiyajin's speed would bring him above the fish now, who was clearly beginning to come apart from itself in the middle. Eventually, it would reveal itself to be sliced in two, the pieces landing directly on top of the once cursing Oni. Kizuki would now hover over to the shore of the Blood Pond, standing at the water's edge with a bit of a grimace on his face. Hell had to offer better. Maybe it was time to find Xylo, perhaps Alaistair had beefed up some as well. The golden aura would dispel around his form, however he remained in that Super Saiyajin state, looking calmer than he would have before, with an even more tremendous energy output. Helix Crust

Helix had been wandering through the barren blue plains of hell for quite some time now. Surmounting crags of chalky obsidian, the elderly namekian could've passed for much younger. He maneuvered with the vitality of a youngster, and although his physicality was ever so slightly wearied by his time in the realm of the living, Helix was still a tall and physically remarkable namekian, likely due to his genetics.
Born from Xylo, the namekian also believed himself to have some divine porungian element to his makeup— This is what he was told since he was young by the dragon clan namekians who raised him. A master orator since he was a teenager, Helix had always known that he had been born from power. The question of his birth held no real weight in Helix's mind: his experiences and visions with the namekian dragon were real enough to satiate any non belief.
Trudging more slowly now, Helix's exhausted legs carried him at a gentler pace through the forest of flint-black tree shaped rocks.
There was no room for moping: he had come down to this place of his own volition, after all. Helix had searched heaven far and wide for namekian brethren, but had come up with nothing. Heaven's total serenity was suffocating; Helix was not merely a believer in kindness and morality, he was a believer in balance. There was no place for him in a monochromatic place like that.
One thing the prophet knew for sure was that there would be at least one namekian down in hell. His brother Xylo.
Finally, the future guru stepped out of the rather depressing forest. Everything around here was rather depressing. But now, it appeared that he had stumbled upon something interestingly depressing.
A massive hub was bustling with noise and groans. How Helix hadn't heard all the ruckus from the forest perplexed him, and as he approached the faceless mob of souls began to take shape as diverse creatures of all shapes and sizes. Immediately, Helix's eyes longed for green, but there were no namekians in sight.
At the center of the oasis appeared to be a ditch, or a lake; the Namekian couldn't tell, as there were too many tall people blocking the path. Shuffling by ogres and squeezing between gaps in the crowd, Helix weaved and wriggled his way to the front of the crowd. Just before he emerged to the front, a massive splash disrupted the numb calm of the front row surrounding the lake. Helix squinted to see what was the ruckus, but all he could manage to get a glimpse of was a splash of… Red water?
Just then, Helix "pardon me"'d his way past the last person standing between him and the lake. Overtaken by interest, Helix almost doubted wether he was really in hell or simply on a foreign world, nearly the opposite of Namek.
Half intrigued, half terrified, Helix broke out into a wisened grin and stepped forwards. This was so much more interesting then heaven. Putting one leg tentatively out, Helix's bare foot touched the water and felt the comfort of the surface before putting his weight onto the water fully. It appeared that he could walk on this liquid just like the water on Namek.
Helix would be able to get a better view of the crowd, in order to spot a namekian, if he walked to the center of the lake. And so, the prophet took a little bit too much glee in pacing across the surface of the blood pond.
He would be quite visible to anyone in the crowd, his green body sticking out like a sore thumb. Eyes squinted, Helix began to scan the crowd for anyone of interest. If he couldn't find anyone, he supposed he would shout out and ask if there were any Namekians nearby. Maybe he would even find his brother.

And just as Kizuki had literally sliced a huge demon fish in half and wandered off to the shore, a figure caught his eye making its way to the same spot that he was hovering over just previously. Taking a better look at the figure, he could make out that he appeared to be a Namekian, sharing some resemblance to Xylo, but missing that silly head fin of his. Just what was he doing? He appeared to be looking for something, or someone. Judging from what Kizuki could feel from him, if another one of those large fish jumped out unexpectedly he wouldn't be able to look for anything any longer. "Oi. Namekian." The Super Saiyajin's loud voice would boom out towards him, deep and demanding in its tone. Should the water walker take notice of Kizuki, he'd realize that Kizuki was talking directly to him. "Not that it matters much to me, but unless you want to be dinner for his friends.." His right arm moved out to the shore, pointing a finger at the large, demonic fish severed in two and quite dead, the one that Kizuki just dispatched just a few moments ago. The two pieces still searing where Kizuki's powerful arm thrust through it. "..I'd stand more towards the shore if I were you. Unless the Oni are feeding them Namekians now. I guess they could choose worse sources of food."
If the Namekian decided to take his advice, it mattered not to the Super Saiyajin. This was about as much of a good Samaritan you were going to get out of him. He mostly was looking for his training spot back, those Demon Fish made for good targets to train hand-eye coordination. Helix Crust

The namekian squinted, gazing out across the lake and zeroing on any splotches of green. Although he was still rather vital in body, the Namekian's eyesight wasn't what it used to be. Ears twitching, the prophet listened for the voice of his brother so acutely that when someone else spoke to him, he nearly jumped and fell through the water.
Helix flinched, turning towards the source of the voice, "S-Sorry, may I help you?" the prophet grinned sheepishly, taking a tentative step towards the voice. Standing before him was a blonde, stark looking saiyan; Helix got the sense that by even looking at him, he was encroaching on his territory.
Walking towards the speaker, Helix was initially perplexed by the cold figure's remarks before realizing. The prophets eyes widened frightfully and he quickly evaporated into white energy before reappearing next to the man. He was a tall, and his hair-do was rather imposing, if slightly ridiculous. "P-Porunga…" Helix gasped, still staring at the fish. "How does that even FIT in there…"
Helix wronged his knuckles as he turned back to face his new gruff acquaintance. "Sorry, I'm new here…" laughed the Namekian, "…To tell you the truth, I'm not really supposed to be here… I'm from Heaven."
Desperately trying to engage with him, the namekian prodded further with questions. "You wouldn't happen to know where I could find any other Namekians, would you?"
It was rather uncomfortable having a conversation here, Helix thought, surrounded by suffocating groaning souls in hot sweaty mob.

Kizuki would quirk a single brow, the motion of it upwards and the expression on his face painted a tale of slight curiosity over his face. He comes from... Heaven? How'd Enma-Daiou, King Yemma, make THAT mistake? Or maybe he took a wrong turn somewhere or something. "I guess I don't have to remind you where you are. Just know you're a long way from Paradise, Namekian." Kizuki would cross his arms across his chest, the training gi he was wearing had definitely seen better days. "I'm not a tour guide, how the hell should I know where you can find any other Namekians!? Tch'." He'd expel air from his clenched teeth in dismay, slightly annoyed. But, he would offer what little information he had. "To be honest, I barely have paid much attention to anyone or anything since I got here. I've been focused on my training only. There's only one Namekian I know personally, who I came to Hell with, and that's Xylo."
The Super Saiyajin would uncross his arms to begin stretching them, rolling his neck about in order to pop the tightness out of it and loosen it up. "He died attempting to claim Namek, as well as myself and our comrade Alaistair. It seems the SSE had a vested interest in your planet at the time as well, considering the Queen sent her General over to promptly deal with us." Kizuki recounted the events in his mind quickly, a bit of anger rising in him from how outmatched and unprepared they were. Something he would never really forget when it came to Xylo's decision making. "Xylo wasn't even a fraction of how strong he is now, at least from the last time I saw him, and neither was I. I wasn't even capable of transforming into a Super Saiyajin until after I got to Hell. Now I've mastered the form. If everything else stayed the same, Mayze wouldn't stand a chance against us today." He'd go to stretching his legs, crouching some and extending each leg out to loosen it up again before standing straight, slamming his right fist into his open left palm a few times before looking at Helix once more. "Not sure if any of that means anything to you or not, nor do I care. I can tell you this, though. If you're looking for any more Namekians, they'll differ quite a lot compared to what you're used to in Heaven." Kizuki would tilt his head to the side a bit some. He didn't really feel much of an imposing energy coming out of this Namekian fellow at all. He wasn't weak, though he wondered how long he would last on his own. Helix Crust

Helix paced over to the Saiyan in order to hear him better amidst the constant low groan of the crowd. The namekian listened patiently to the tall saiyan's wit, finding a bit of charm in his general air of disapproval. The namek knew better than to take it seriously, as Xylo had given off nearly the exact same aura the last time they had met. "Trust me," replied Helix willfully, "I know."
The Namekian watched closely as the saiyan instantly became sandpaper, withdrawing into a what seemed like a practiced cynicism. Though he did do Helix the courtesy of offering legitimate information, a favor which the namekian was infinitely grateful for. Helix nodded along receptively as the saiyan detailed his time in hell briefly and then lit up when the name Xylo was mentioned.
Sensing danger, Helix decided to prolong his reveal of brothership to Xylo. It might not bet he best move to let him know, depending on how well the two got along.
Helix's eyes narrowed with interest as Kizuki detailed the situation on namek. "This Alaistair, he's not a namekian, is he?" His gaze flashed to the side. If Alastair and this saiyan were on namek helping Xylo, weren't they just as bad as the saiyan invaders? Anyone from the outside attempting to upset the delicate balance between the namekian castes was someone to be wary of, whatever their intent. "The Saiyan Solar Empire wants the dragon balls," Helix clenched, with a bit of cynicism running through his words before he retracted it with gentler thoughts. "I can't really blame them, but they are not welcome in the affairs of Nameks intraplanetary politics."
The Namek now had begun to loosen up, his awkwardness about being an outsider in hell somewhat mitigated. "Do you think Xylo would be powerful enough to take namek on his own then?" Helix inquired, not particularly worried about his vested interest in Xylo being revealing. The saiyan was stiff to talk to, but hopefully he would oblige helix in his questions. "And, do you know where Xylo might be?"
Helix listened tentatively to the Saiyans final words of warning before deciding that a proper introduction was in order after all. "I don't believe I've told you my name," He started, and provided that the saiyan didn't ignore him to go hunt for more fish, Helix would continue. "I am Helix Crust, prophet of the dragon clan and brother of Xylo." Although he was never one to brag, the namek couldn't help but find the situation a little bit humorous. "Could I have the pleasure of making your acquaintance?"

It seemed the Namekian was quite curious about a lot of things. Kizuki didn't have much time for pleasantries, so while continuing his stretches he'd address him as best as he could. "No, Alaistair isn't a Namekian. He's a Demon, or a Devil... or whatever he refers to himself as. Honestly, I stopped trying to understand." He'd nod a bit to Helix's mention of the Dragon Balls, and the SSE wanting them. "It appeared that way. I believe Mayze made mention of it during the fight. To my knowledge, Xylo was looking to prevent all of that." Kizuki would offer up a shrug, letting his arms cross over his chest since he had finished his stretching. "I came along to help. I was promised the chance to fight and get stronger, was my best option at the time."
Kizuki would let Helix continue his speech, about his anti-alien involvement with Namek's affairs. He couldn't blame him. With something as powerful as these Dragon Balls around, Namek had a huge target on it. Perhaps even bigger than Earth, since there were certainly less powerful warriors on Namek to defend it. Hell, perhaps the Queen had gotten her wish already, and that was the reason why Walker had felt such a strong ki coming from her even in Hell. "Not to burst your bubble, Namekian, but we've been dead for quite some time. I'm not sure what Namek looks like right now, or even if the SSE got the Dragon Balls and a wish. Even if Xylo was strong enough now, it may not make much of a difference depending on what's going on up there." Kizuki would look up instinctively, as if he were looking for some trace of Namek above them. As Helix asked where Xylo was, the Super Saiyajin would suck on his teeth in dismay, offering another shrug though this one was a bit more abrasive. It seemed he was wearing out his welcome, lowering his head back down to glare at Helix. "How the hell should I know? Last I saw him was a while ago, we were sparring. Him, myself, Alaistair and an Arcosian named Taiga. I haven't seen him since."
But what Helix said next almost caused Kizuki to fall over, like in one of those Japanese anime cartoons! His mouth gaped open as a finger pointed at Helix. It wasn't his name or his declaration, it was the fact he was... "XYLO'S BROTHER?! YOU?!" He almost laughed then, re-crossing his arms over his chest. Regaining his composure, this all seemed a bit too funny. "His brother, huh? Heh', can't say I saw that coming. You guys don't seem anything alike. For one, you don't have that stupid fin on your head, and the other your power is pathetic compared to his."
Ever the charmer, the Super Saiyajin would smirk, his brown tail wavering behind him. "My name is Kizuki." He'd cant his head upwards, almost looking down at the Namekian in both height and status. "You and your brother get along much? You know he has plans to go back to Namek? Not sure when."

Ears twitching with concentration, Helix leaned in slightly as the tough skinned saiyan poured out what information he was willing to share. The namekian would absolutely take what he could get, especially from an ally of Xylo. Certainly Helix wasn't actively looking to screw over his brother, but his opposite half had some twisted plans which the dragon caste would certainly look for any advantage against.
"An entity of darkness then," Helix nodded gravely. He had never before met a devil, but he had read about them in countless books and believed it was quite common for mazoku caste namekians to associate with them. Helix had no more questions to offer as the saiyan agreed with him on his opinion of the Empire's goals on namek. Although Xylo's acts of evil towards the mystics were irreverent and inexcusable, his resolve to fight off saiyan influence was commendable, and he did so with some degree of efficiency. The man finished off his answer with a reply which Helix would expect from a textbook saiyan. He helped Xylo in order to further his own strength.
Helix wasn't hit with the reality check as hard as the saiyan might've been trying to portray it. Although he had been dead for quite some time, the namekian was confident that the situation couldn't have changed that much on Namek… Or could it? If Nai had passed away… But then, Helix would've seen him in heaven. Looking down and placing his chin in his fingertips, Helix contemplated if there was any way to gain a higher knowledge of these events. Certainly there had to be some ogre authority around here who knew what was going on on Namek.
As Helix continued his interrogation… Er- friendly conversation, the saiyan would become gradually more and more frustrated with the meandering talk. The golden warrior dismissed any hope for Helix to discover Xylo's whereabouts.
When Helix dropped the conversational bomb, the saiyan almost fell over in surprise. Helix couldn't help but grin at his new acquaintance's shock, and scratched the back of his head bashfully "Heh heh…" The namekian chuckled with a temporary air of pride before it was shattered by Kizuki's rude declaration of Helix's weakness. Now it was Helix's turn to fall over comically. "H-Hey!!"
In an aside, Helix gave the saiyan a comically dirty look before standing back up and finishing his introduction. "W-Well it's a pleasure to meet you Kizuki. Any friend of Xylo's is a friend of mine," lied the Namekian. "We have our differences… As most brothers do," shrugged Helix, "but I like to think we're more the same then we are different."
Helix would attempt to lead the saiyan off away from the blood pond to walk and talk in a more private area. "I'm not quite sure of his plans on Namek… Do you plan to continue to fight at his side, or are you pursuing other paths to power now?" Helix asked genuinely, before adding, "Could I offer you a cup of tea?"

Kizuki didn't know anything about what it was like to have a brother, so Helix's explanation wasn't something he could relate much to. He had a sister, but it wasn't like he had much involvement in her life at all. Things were different back then for sure. The Saiyajin would smirk, though, at Helix's declaration of him. "Sure. I suppose he and I are friends. So long as he doesn't get in my way." He'd leave it at that. Xylo and Kizuki had a mutual understanding, the same went with Alaistair. Kizuki would remain with them for as long as he wanted, as long as he found them useful. He could only assume the same could be said about himself in their eyes, as well. "If I feel like it I'll continue to fight with him. I have my own things to worry about." He wouldn't go too much into his own personal situation, this stranger didn't need to know anything of it. The Super Saiyajin would tilt his head a bit to Helix's question after that, though. Tea? Well, he hadn't had any in the longest time, and didn't find a general need to eat or any of the other things a living body would need. However, the thought of having some did interest him a bit. "Hn. Not sure where you plan on getting tea here, but sure. Know something I don't?" Kizuki wouldn't think much of it, following the Namekian off to where ever he was leading him. His arms went from his chest to behind his head, locking fingers and cradling his neck as he looked upwards a bit to the grotesque sky of Hell above them. "How long do you plan on staying here? I hear people can leave, if they find a way to. I haven't thought much about it myself. The harsh environment has really helped me improve my power. Would be a waste to go back to the living world now." He was half talking to Helix, half convincing himself to stay down in this realm. Truthfully, the Saiyajin wanted to revive. He wanted to feel hungry and eat food, feel tired and get a real night's rest. But just how much could he push himself if he was alive again? Not as much as in this body, that's for sure. Helix Crust

Looking off onto the horizon for a moment, the namekian nodded at Kizuki's declaration of friendship before turning back towards him. "I'll bet that friends are a limited resource down here, huh?" Helix looked over at the saiyan, hoping that the man was at least slightly entertained by the conversation. After asking about Kizuki's intent to continue on as an ally of Xylo, the saiyan replied noncommittally.
"I suppose you're not interested in telling me about any of your own goals, right?" Helix was getting the hang of the blonde battler now. The namekian grinned cheekily and replied. "Well," he began, "I should tell you that Xylo and I don't see eye to eye on the whole conquest thing."
Taking it one step at a time, Helix would walk by Kizuki's side towards a small patch of stone tree stumps. "A magician never reveals his secrets," teased Helix as Kizuki questioned his ability to obtain tea. Sitting down on one tree stump, the dragon caste would motion for his hellbound compatriot to take a seat at the other. "I think I know a lot of things you don't," wised the aged namek, grinning and continuing "And I'm positive you know a great deal of things I have no way to fathom!"
If the saiyan sat down across from him, Helix would tap the ground between the tree stumps and pull his fingertip into the air. A cube of solid rock from the ground would follow his hand, being effortlessly carved from the ground below them. On the new table, Helix would lay both hands down and allow them to glow with white energy. Splashing his fingertips upwards, the white energy would form into silhouettes of a teapot and two perfectly cylindrical teacups.
"A cute party trick, I know, I've heard it before" Helix would project his mystic presence into the mind of his new acquaintance mentally, continuing the conversation there with a wink. "Do you take anything in your tea? I hope you're alright with Asijja… Did you get a chance to try any tea when you were making your claim on Namek with my brother?"
Helix pulled himself out of the mental plane and poured two cups of tea, picking up his own with both hands and hovering his nose over it. When he was asked how long he planned on staying, the namekian shrugged indecisively. "Honestly, I'm impartial to going back, but…" Helix would put his hand in his chin for a second, lost in thought, before returning and sipping his tea. "Well, I have to find out what's going on on Namek. And if Xylo goes back I have to go back too," Helix quickly stopped himself before he could reveal too much, "So I can stop him from doing anything too drastic on our home world."
The prophet examined the sharp face of the saiyajin, "What reason do you have for returning, and what reasons for staying?" Helix's antenna twitched. "If the pros outweigh the cons, then follow the path of least resistance."

He'd simply frown a bit to Helix's first question, letting his hands fall from behind his head down to his sides now. "I need to push past my limits. I need to get stronger. If I don't do that, then nothing else matters." It was all the Saiyajin offered to the Namekian as far as what his own goals were, led into a more private area of the Hell Pond so the two could enjoy some tea and a conversation. Eventually, Helix would offer Kizuki a seat on a tree stump, to which he'd slowly lower himself down onto it with a deep exhale. The Super Saiyajin would watch Helix work his magic, creating a table and tea set from seemingly nothing. It was impressive, to say the least. Kizuki had come across magic users before, and conjurers. Seeing it was nothing new, but understanding it was beyond anything he was interested in. Once the Namekian's voice invaded his mind, Kizuki would narrow his eyes a bit. Damnit, him too?! It was bad enough Alaistair popped in and out of his mind at will. Not it looked like anyone could do it. Before Kizuki could retort, he was presented with the Namekian-style tea, taking the cup in his large hands. He'd also take a few whiffs, before gently sipping on it to get a feel for the taste. Tea was one of the Saiyajin's guilty pleasures. In his previous life, during his employment for another Empire, he had been lucky enough to be among the other Elite Soldiers who got to enjoy the bounty of the Emperor's garden, which included several exotic types of tea leaves, which would be turned into exquisite drinks. He savored it a bit, closing his eyes and taking it all in. He listened to Helix speak, before answering. "Xylo is going to do what Xylo wants to do. There's nothing you can really do to stop him. You're far too weak in comparison. If I were you, I'd find a way to get on his good side. He is your brother after all." He'd take another long sip, placing the cup down onto the conjured table before continuing, still with his eyes closed. "I... have unfinished business in the living world, that has nothing to do with Alaistair or Xylo, Namek or anyone. It's something I need to do alone to... make things right." He didn't really want to go any more into it, but would let his eyes open to glare directly at Helix. "And if you ever invade my mind again without my permission, I'll make sure it's the only way you'll get to talk to your brother or anyone else for a long time."
Stress. The Super Saiyajin was stressed for sure, and taking it out on Helix was just what was going to happen. He was never one for the unannounced telepathy, but overall his general nature of being closed off and a bit of a lone wolf forced Kizuki to become incredibly uncomfortable, stressed, and somewhat panicked. There wasn't any tea in the galaxy that would relax him from that. Helix Crust

Helix frowned at the saiyan's statement. He needed to push his limits? The namekian couldn't see much value in pushing oneself for the sake of pushing. Even if growth was that powerful of a concept to an individual… Was it really worth all the effort? To go as far as to say that nothing else mattered?
The namekian frowned in contemplation and put his hand in his chin. However, as the mystic conjured his magic, he was unable to suppress a twinge of delight at the seemingly stoic sayian's impression.
As Helix playfully prodded at the mind of his saiyan companion, but immediately he knew something was wrong and pulled out. The super saiyan's eyes had narrowed in a deadly stare, and the prophet broke eye contact, looking down awkwardly. Something the mental exchange gave Helix the impression that the warrior felt violated by such an intrusion.
Even so, it appeared that the saiyan was at the very least enjoying the namekian tea. Presuming that Kizuki had never had the chance to try Asijja tea while he was on namek, he smiled slightly at the golden warrior's careful cradling of the hot cup. The saiyan closed his eyes for a moment, likely taking in the distinct aroma of the brew, and the had to look down at his own cup to suppress his grin. Perhaps even the cold heart of this golden warrior could be melted by a hot cup of tea.
Bringing his cup to his lips, Helix sipped along after Kizuki, in accordance with namekian customs before continuing the conversation. The saiyan's response was characteristically noncommittal, and he clearly either felt unable to speak for Xylo or didn't want to disclose his plans. When the saiyan jabbed once more at Helix's power, he wasn't as embarrassed this time, but still hid his gaze in the cup for a moment.
"I may be weak by your standards," muttered Helix, becoming more assured the more he spoke, "But I have magical potential beyond the dreams of you or my brother." An air of cockiness was uncharacteristic of the namekian, and he broke into a self depreciating chuckle after such a bold statement. "Not that it matters much!"
Taking a whiff of his tea but not sipping until Kizuki made the next drink, Helix would continue to respond. "Besides, I've been trying to get on Xylo's good side for quite a while. I believe... forging a relationship between him is the key to forging a balanced relationship between the castes on namek." He sighed, shrugging and releasing the conversation's tension like steam from an open teapot. "Doesn't really matter anyway. You're right!" Helix grinned up at the saiyan, "Xylo will be xylo."
As the conversation continued to move towards Kizuki's own depart from Hell, the prophet was disappointed to see the saiyan move back into himself, putting back up the walls which had been melted, if only for a slight instant. "It seems like a lot of the people down here have quests they have to tackle on their own up there." Helix shrugged. "Maybe if they worked together while they had the chance, they wouldn't be down here in the first place." The namekian gave Kizuki a gentle look, as if indicating that he was more musing philosophically than attacking the saiyan's own ambition.
There seemed to be a central question bubbling up in Helix's mind, but just as it reached the tip of his tongue, Kizuki's tone turned bitter. A glare harshly fortified the faltering tension, causing Helix to imperceptibly tense up in his knuckles and shoulders. The vicious warning caused Helix to look away, as if he had just given up on something. Now the namekian's response had grown cold. "Yeah." He looked back at Kizuki, having heard his subsequent sip and taking one of his own, choking on the bittersweetened aroma.
Helix almost shot back a retaliatory quip, but decided against it. There was still interest in the namekian's eyes. His curiosity had not been quelled. And the dragon caste formulated an inquiry which he believed would allow him to understand his acquaintance at the heart of his being. "What triggered this anyway?" Asked Helix finally, after a moment of allowing the cold silence to simmer. Quickly, he clarified. "Your transformation… Is it like those ancient scrolls say?"
Helix's eyes finally matched with Kizuki's, as he made one last attempt to crack at the engima of a man. "Are you pure of heart?"

"Hmph." Was the only response the Super Saiyajin gave Helix at his attempt to be cold him with him return. He remained focused on his tea, bringing the cup back up to his lips to finish the concoction, once again savoring the taste and smell, a true pleasure to all his senses even in death. It wasn't until Helix started asking him about his transformation that he'd let his eyelids open again. He stare at the Namekian with those haunting, emerald eyes. They didn't seem natural, but in reality this entire form wasn't exactly nature in itself. It was a full on mutation, through and through. "Pure of heart?" It was the first time he was asked such a thing, and he didn't think something like that would actually go hand in hand with the Super Saiyajin form. "I'm not sure what ancient scrolls you're referring to but this transformation is achieved and maintained through rage." He'd let his massive hand lower the cup back down onto the table then, having finished it. "Probably has to do with a Saiyajin's absolute breaking point." At least that's how it was for him. It had happened here in the afterlife, essentially captured by some Demon Lord only to be saved by Walker. In the process, this Demon Lord had manipulated Kizuki's mind, forcing him to believe he was living in a world that didn't exist, only to later force him to relive the most horrific parts of the life that did exist. It made him angry, it filled his heart with the uncontrollable anguish and pain to the point where his blood felt like it was truly boiling within his flesh until he let all of that power out and transformed. "When it happened to me I was... filled with anger. I was angry at your brother for rushing into his little suicide mission on Namek, angry at the SSE for getting in the way, angry at myself for dying, angry at..." His hand would grasp onto the glass, tightening around it as that feeling of agitation began to rise in him. "I was angry at everything."
He wasn't sure if having a pure heart had anything to do with it. After all, his reasons for being so angry were quite pure. In reality, all Kizuki wanted to do was avenge his people, do right by his mistakes. Perhaps that meant his anger was directed to a pure enough reason? Who knew. It seemed overly complicated to him, anyway. He'd loosen his grip on that cup, though, after a few moments. "But once you've learned to control the form, like I have, you don't really need the anger anymore as fuel for it. Your body becomes used to it, knows where to find it and call on it when you want. It's odd to think about, really. It's almost like breathing now." He'd look at Helix, a more serious tone in his voice. "There's apparently a form higher than this one, if what Walker told me can be believed. Apparently he felt the Queen's ki from Hell, and assumed she had gone beyond even the capabilities of a Super Saiyajin." He went quiet for a brief moment before finishing. "If that's the case, then that is where I also need to be, as far as my power is concerned."Helix Crust

When the prophet made his final attempt at cracking the saiyan's cold exterior, the golden warrior finally opened his eyes, unleashing his piercing green irises. Helix made strong eye contact, allowing his question to linger in the air for a moment before the saiyan responded. At first, the warrior appeared to disregard the question. Pure of heart. He repeated the namekian's sentence back to him as if he was hearing the phrase for the first time, and testing it on his tongue. The prophet nodded, now intrigued. Soon, the golden haired warrior had apparently dismissed the concept. He informed Helix that the super saiyan transformation was manifested entirely from the force of rage. Helix nodded and quietly replied that there were a few dragon caste scrolls mentioning pure hearted golden warriors, later elaborated upon by future scholars who linked the mythos of the ancient texts to the real world super saiyans. "It's really quite foggy, scholars footnoting the works of other scholars ad nauseum," concluded the namekian with a chuckle. Just then, the saiyan appeared to be finished with his cup of tea, and Helix took a final sip of his own in accordance, respectfully placing his cup down at the same time as his companion. The namekian almost instinctively poured his guest another cup, but decided he was too interested in the conversation to interrupt it now. "Other races don't seem to function on that principle," the prophet noted with a raised brow at the saiyan, "Namekian transformations are… fabled… at best. Besides the great namek state. And they are usually based around the nature of… duality of some sort." A breaking point… Helix couldn't even fathom a breaking point for himself. What would it take to break a namekian who had died for the sins of his people? The fury that the saiyan spoke of was palpable in the air as he recounted his first entry into the super saiyan form. Helix listened so attentively that his consciousness didn't shift towards the pipping hot teapot to his left once in the entire exchange. He simply nodded, as he slowly pieced together the situation on namek, as he slowly pieced together the psyche of the tense saiyan. "He's—" Helix began to speak. He wasn't sure why, wether it was in defense of his brother's ignorance or in condemning of their actions on namek, but before he could finish his sentence, the saiyan concluded his own thought in an agitated snap. The namekian nodded silently, and eyed the warrior's harsh hold on the ceramic cylinder in his palm. "It's a powerful motivation— Anger," lamented Helix softly, with a shake of his head. "It's hard to hold oneself deeply to oft desecrated morals without becoming caught up in a sense of righteous fury." Helix was waxing his old self, before his fusion with Xirula. And then, he blinked, and it was gone. "And that's all it takes? Rage?"Soon, the prophet's question would be answered. Kizuki informed Helix that he no longer needed anger to fuel his transformation. It had become as natural as a heartbeat. "It sounds like you've reached a tranquility of heart then," Helix mused, still considering his scrolls of old as he now whimsically gazed into the saiyan's eyes. But his companion was still deadly serious. "That doesn't…" Helix scratched his chin as the warrior informed him of a saiyan state supposedly higher than his tranquil golden form, "That doesn't seem possible… The queen of the Saiyan Empire then? Her soul pervading even to the depths of Hell… It seems like legend if anything." Helix tried out the name on his tongue over and over again… Walker… Was that… The fellow who he had briefly brushed into on Bing Gan's lookout? But before the mystic could continue much further down the line of thought, Kizuki replied once more, affirming Helix's belief that he would seek anything in pursuit of that infinite growth saiyans seemed capable of. And Helix did indeed sense something inside of him that was pushing on the brink of his being, an energy waiting to be released. The flares of gold were just barely licking the surface of the legendary warrior's energy. It would only take a slight push to unlock a drastic surge of energy in the saiyan… But it wasn't Helix's place. Not here. Not now. "Perhaps," concluded the namekian, pouring Kizuki another cup of tea and leaving his own cup unfilled, " Perhaps when you return to the world of the living, you and I can discuss this further." The mystic's wide eyes focused in on the saiyan now, and he smiled gently, in the way that only a bona fide messiah can. "I understand your quest for growth, and I believe that the next step is right at your fingertips. Wether or not it is mine to release is of no consequence, but…" The prophet finally stood up, and bowed briefly to the slightly taller saiyan. "If we meet on namek, I hope we can be allies." A pressing matter had suddenly invaded the prophet's mind, and he needed to depart urgently. The dragon caste held his hand out and allowed white energy to pool like mercury before fusing into a small teal blue orb, like a marble sized dragon ball. "I know you are not one for telepathy," laughed the namekian, "So this pendant will glow if I am near." Helix shrugged his shoulders goofily before his forehead markings suddenly illuminated into a full white sheen. "If you seek guidance on the next step in your journey, find me on namek," said Helix with a genuine grin. "It's been nice to meet you... Kizuki." Helix suddenly began to flash in a blur of wind, disappearing before the very eyes of the saiyan. "You're not so bad," hummed Helix, before finally flashing off in a whistle of dematerialization, teleporting off to a suddenly rediscovered source of namekian energy of dire importance to him. Something about Kizuki told him that the two would meet again on much different terms with fateful consequence. Or maybe, that was just the saiyan within him talking!
Exit! This thread was very fun! I hope we can thread again sometime Kizuki !

Helix reminded him a bit of himself, after waking up in a cryogenic sleep the Saiyajin was learning everything all over again it seemed. The Super Saiyajin transformation was something that Kizuki barely knew about himself, but what he did know was all he could offer to the Namekian. Helix's mentions of Namekian transformations made the Saiyajin think a bit. It was true for the most part, as Xylo didn't seem to exhibit any differences in his nature or outward appearance, but had definitely ascended beyond a level of the average Namekian. Namek would be all too easy to take now, all things considered. Unless the SSE's stronghold over the planet was that much greater. Kizuki's words of the Queen's power seemed to stir a bit of disbelief in the Namekian to which he'd just casually shrug. "That's what Walker told me. As for myself, I didn't feel it. I may had not been paying attention too much, I guess." Though he didn't feel Zucceta's power during her ascension, he felt another surge that was said to be just as deadly. The Half-Blood, Zerori, was either as strong or stronger than the Queen and it was from her that Kizuki knew the benchmark of where his power had to grow to. As Helix mentioned Kizuki's own power, and Helix's own quest to "release" it, the Saiyajin looked up, about to interfere with the dialogue but the Namekian kept on. Eventually he'd conjure up a small orb, offering it to Kizuki who would reach out and take it within his fingers with a confused blink. Apparently it was some sort of communication device, a beacon of sorts to let Kizuki know Helix was near as opposed to using telepathy. He looked from the orb back up to Helix, again blinking a few times out of confusion but feeling a kindness and consideration coming from him for Kizuki that the Saiyajin barely knew what to say. "Ah'... th-thank you."
As the Namekian left in the blink of an eye, Kizuki would look down at the marble sized orb, before shoving it into the pants pocket of his dogi. Thankfully, he was nice enough to leave the rest of the tea, and as Kizuki reached over to pour some he could hear Helix's last words, as if they were being carried by the rush of wind he left on. "You're not so bad." It made his lip curl in a bit of a snarl, only because he was embarrassed from the compliment. The Super Saiyajin didn't take praise so well, aside from someone commenting on his strong he was. With a scowl, he'd continue to pour himself another cup of the wonderful, Namekian tea and would sip it. Truth was, he felt the same about Helix. "Tch. Damn Namekians." Though he'd never outright say it back, that was Kizuki's way of telling the wind that Helix created, "You're not so bad yourself."
Thread Exit! WOW! This was one of my more enjoyable threads in a long time. Thank you, Helix Crust. I'll be taking Shoki for this, let me know what you want and I'll slap it up for grading.
